Nearly Nu

This reminds me of if le labo’s ambrette and vanille 44 had a baby with a papery feel from the iris. I blind bought and when I first opened it and spritzed it, it had a strong alcohol opening but I suspect that’s likely bc it’s a brand new bottle and likely will go away if I let the bottle sit and macerate for a bit. Anyway, that disappears relatively quickly and what you’re left with is a pleasant and soft skin scent. It’s not really powdery and really is what I’d imagine most people thinking of when they say they want to smell fresh out of the shower with soft skin. I like it so far and can’t wait to see how it evolves after letting it macerate for a few more weeks.

I've purchased a lot of fragrances this year, and I think this is in my top 3. This is warm with ambrette, but the iris comes in with this almost papery layer [in the best way possible, I'm at a loss of words to describe!] Definitely could be a signature scent, this might be mine going forward...full bottle worthy for sure. I need to mention how awesome my interactions have been with this house. Michael is awesome, so personable, you can tell he loves what he does, and I will continue to support them and watch their growing success!

Great skin-scent fragrance. For me the musk mallow and iris give this a very powdery opening which I like, and vaguely reminds me of Xerjoff's Dama Bianca minus the kumquat. Then in about 10-15 minutes in it settles into a creamy vanilla, but I still get whiffs of musky goodness although the Iris almost completely disappears. The longevity is great, the sillage is pretty intimate but that's what I'd expect from a skin scent. I think this is definitely worth trying- I can see lots of people enjoying this one.

The opening of this is similar to JHAG Not a Perfume on me. However, after the first ten minutes, it develops into a slightly richer, sweeter fragrance- with a delicate floral vanilla musk-y base. It smells clean and beautiful. It’s not a single fragrance note without character the way Not a Perfume lands on me. This was suggested to me in the forum and I only bought a 10mL. Thinking of going back for a full bottle.

A beautiful long-lasting fragrance with an intimate sillage. A lightly sweet, softly powdered vanilla that is never cloying and wears beautifully in hot and humid weather. Nearly Nu smells like a mix of JHAG Not A Perfume with a touch of Happy Dust by Narcotica. It’s softly sweet, yet clean and airy. Nearly Nu is a wonderful vanilla for warm weather days.
