Amber Absolutely (2022)

Another excellent scent from a house who really know how to create a fragrance. This was one of three full bottle purchases I made following my run through the discovery set, Bojnokopff and Fatih Sultan Mehmed the other two. The latter my pick of the bunch, but this is an excellent scent and very different in all manner. This is a powerful fragrance which you won't need to overspray, and it performs excellently on me in both sillage and lonegivity. The beauty of this fragrance is in the dry down, as the longer into it the more individual notes I pick up. The plum, vetiver and benzoin I only get in the dry down, along with the musk which just rounds the scent off to give the punchy notes a really good balance. Opening is a serious amber punch, but it dries down into an excellently blend where it just rocks as a beautiful amber and rose soap. Every bit of how I want to describe this sounds every bit feminine, but very much unisex for me. Probably as feminine a fragrance as I'd want to go, but any man would be able to pull this off.

One of the best ambers, in my book. This amber doesn’t smell like any other amber I’ve tried, which already gives it a leg up amongst the endless horde of amber fragrances. A tall task to distinguish yourself from all the other ambers. This is quite unique, but probably only because its made by Rasei Fort. His unorthodox, self taught style actually shines super bright here. This is a honeyed amber, with plum and rose. I get much less rose than others do, not sure why. Perhaps a batch variance? I don’t trust this brand to have consistency between batches tbh. Someone online said this had a saliva esque quality to it, which I kind of agree with. In a good way. Not sure why, but it feels right. It’s not overtly musky, but something about this does give “warm breath”. Regardless, this stuff is amazing. Easy to wear but remains interesting after many wears. Full bottle worthy.

2nd fragrance of 7 from the F&M discovery set. This is a gorgeous, unisex, masculine leaning rose scent more than amber. Extremely wearable, but watch how much you spray because, as others have mentioned, it's quite rich and sweet. Opens with an excellent combination of amber, honey, and a luscious plum. I'm getting mostly rose, musk, and some amber in the dry down. Perfect for a fancy date night or Valentine's Day. Seriously impressed by this house so far.

A very richly sweet amber, with plum and honey you can smell very distinctly, and some nice airy rose buried beneath them. Another elegant gourmand fragrance from Fort & Manlé that (quite honestly) evokes luxury and wealth. This is the sort of thing to wear to a fancy wedding or soirée.

Testing my sample; rich amber with bright traces of plum and honey, gets muskier and rosier as it dries on my skin. It's sweet but not in the tongue-smacking manner one would expect given the plum and honey notes. Autumn & winter only, still beaming up strongly from my wrist.

this is one of the most beautiful ambers I have smelled. It feels like a very complex amber. Its woody, fruity, and floral all in one go. Its very strong so I think one or two sprays would do the job well. reminds me slightly of misfit but with less spice

It’s rich fruity, On me, it’s quite bold and the Amber is unique something I haven’t actually smelt before. I got heaps of fresh ripe plum and blackcurrant a little bit of honey and perhaps I think some Cedarwood. I’m in love though. It’s stunning.

The smell of a beautiful person dressed from head to toe in silks. scent breakdown - Opens up with jammy, slightly powdery, and sweet rose with juicy, even sweeter plum. As it dries down a wonderful golden amber emerges as the rose petals and plum become soaked in honey. personal thoughts - A wonderful fruity, floral that dries down into a gorgeous amber floral that would make a great addition to any rose lovers collection. A bit too feminine for my personal tastes, but it would make anybody smell gorgeous. VERY sweet, so I’d be wary if not a huge fan of sweet scents. A nice silky quality that smells very lux. A must try if a fan of sweet rose or ambers. Not related to the scent but the nice bottle and heavy cap is a big +. performance - Very nice performance and projection, easily 12+ hours with strong projection for the first 4-6 hours. rating - 8/10. song vibe - Not Enough by Mia Wray TLDR - Gorgeous plums and rose soaked in golden and silky honey and amber. A great addition to the amber genre, but can be a bit hard to pull off consistently, but makes for a great going out or date scent.

You have to enjoy plum in fragrances to sit through this. The plum and black currant are prominent while resting on a supportive bed of what I see as a pink rose. It is a lively fruity honeyed amber. Not overly sweet or powdery like other ambers. It has a nice depth to it. Very nice indeed.

This Is mostly a fruity, sweet but dry amber. I can’t really compare it to any other amber fragrances but if I had to, the closest to me would be Ambre D'Alexandrie by Boucheron. They don’t smell the same at all, only the very deep dry down which has that kind of apple pie type of smell

It’s not that this is anyway a bad quality scent... it’s just that I hate it! It’s so strong and gives me a headache. It smells like something my grandma’s grandma would wear. I definitely think there are people that will like this, it’s just not me.

This fragrance is truly disgusting. And I mean that wholeheartedly. When I think of amber, I think of cozy things like Another 13 or the Nemat Amber oil. Things like Grand Soir or Absolute Aphrodisiac. Smells that make you want to cuddle up in a cashmere sweater. Amber Absolutely smells like dust, mildew, and the sad remnants of funeral flowers rotting in the attic long after they've been brought home by the mourners. The only thing I pick up is this sickly dry and musty rose - there's zero plum here. If you want plum, go with stunners like Plum in Cognac or Drunk Saffron. I also don't pick up honey. Maybe in the dry down if I squint my brain. I'm embarrassed to have this on my person. I feel like every time I walk by someone they're staring hard in my direction because it smells like I've pulled out my great-grandmother's coat from the attic without thinking to air it out first. Just.... no. I'm dumping out my sample and never spraying it again. -10/10

This IS NOT the same formula as the original! I own both. Rumor has it Rasei fort lost the original recipe and came up with this as a replacement. They are close but definitely not the same. There is a distinct honey and plum sweetness in the newer formula and i really dont consider either one to be an amber fragrance. Its more of a sweet floral with hints of something amber like.

If this is an unpleasant fragrance please don’t attribute it to anyone being older. Someday, if you’re lucky enough, you might be someone’s grandmother and I’m sure you won’t feel like any stinky perfume should be associated with you! Having good taste covers not just lovely perfume but respect for age, gender, race and everything else that makes us human and imperfect.

This reminds me of tauerville vanilla flash but this is a bit darker and the florals are evenly balanced with the plum. The way the florals are used makes me think of that other fragrance I mentioned but there's no vanilla. This also feels like it has tobacco in here mixed with the amber but I like it Update: More like a love now!

The DNA for the brand, but nuanced and balanced enough to be a star itself. Has the rose, but it’s supporting the amber, with nothing dominant. An all round nice versatile and unisex niche scent with a high dose of naturals.
