Late Harvest

As with most of F&M fragrances, if I were to sum up it would be "amazing scent, wish it was stronger". Late harvest is a great tobacco that I really do enjoy and brings a smile to my face. It's cozy, nostalgic and also has a good profile that I would like to wear. It also has that air of mistique that chergui has, they don't smell alike, they just share that "daydreaming of a far away land where time moves slowly" effect. As far as fort n manly fragrances go, most of which I would get just for collecting and sampling this is actually one I would wear on the regular and that's precisely where the performance hurts it for me. Another downside is the bottle for me as a collector, even if it might sound silly, but the older bottles just have more collection value in my eyes. It might sound silly, but I know other fellow collectors will probably agree. Anyway, in short sample first, be mindful of the lower end performance and price. For me this is on my "nice to have but not a must" list. Edit: this is one case where I would see a clear benefit of a intense version. Or reformulation to bump up performance. Later Edit: so I did end up buying it, my feelings about it are the same. But it is good and I'm enjoying it. Kudos to Rasei, you talented mf!

Late Harvest is one of the three recent releases from Fort & Manle, a sweet and spicy mix that does fittingly smell like a fall harvest, with listed notes of cherry pipe tobacco, vanilla, cedar, rosewood, and rose, though I definitely get a bit of apple, particularly in the opening, in the same sort of color palette. Very nicely done, a good sweet and spicy mix that’s not a huge from All the Queen’s Men, another recent release, performs roughly in the middle between All the Queen’s Men (best) and Honiara (worst) of the three, though all three are decent, neither bad nor especially great, in terms of performance. Late Harvest does foster a fall/autumn vibe, specifically, though, which, while there are not very spicy notes, the cherry wood aroma created by the mix of cedar, cherry pipe tobacco, and rosewood, does remind me of that time of year, especially. It’s overall a really lovely scent, and caps off a great new trio from this house that really never seems to miss. The line’s new pricing is $250 for 50ml, in new presentation, with all of the fragrances, including Late Harvest, having the same bottle cost. In the US, the line is sold at Luckyscent and Ministry of Scent (aka Tigerlily Perfumery). 8 out of 10

I finally made the move to buy this because I had a discount code on Lucky Scent. I really haven't seen many reviews of it, but I have been on a quest to find a cherry pipe tobacco, leather, boozy fragrance, and this one was looking like a good candidate for a blind buy (albeit expensive). Well, I don't get much cherry (if any) out of it, and now that I look at the Fort & Manle website, I see that they don't even list cherry as a note - so I'm just gonna confirm that there is little if any cherry accord in this. In all other ways, though, it is a wonderful. It opens with a rich boozy (vanilla/rum?) pipe tobacco, and just enough leather notes to smell like the leather pouch for the pipe tobacco. There are vague hints of something woody, like a rosewood pipe when it's warm. It lasts for several (6-8) hours on skin, has a moderate projection but impressive scent trail, and lasts for a couple days on clothing. I'll probably buy a backukp bottle as I've really enjoyed layering this with Cherry Punk by Room 1015 to get the dark cherry notes and a bit more distinct leather edge. Final verdict, very niche (you must love pipe tobacco), expensive, but worth it if tobacco's your thing. Superbly done.

I love the way Fort & Manle takes each fragrance & makes it smell like an Erotic Fairytale. On its opening Late Harvest evokes the scent of Curing Tobacco caught in a mild breeze that blew across the moors & through the Castle Window of a boudoir ladened with Silk & dark Velvet fabrics, various Talc's, & Floral Parfums in Late Fall. In its dry down Late Harvest evokes the thought of a late night tryst of Princess who's in bed left to bask in the scent of her handsome lover. Along with its Rose note I also pick up on a faint note of Jasmine. Its the lightest whisper of White Florals & Indoles, & its when you're not looking for it that you catch it. The florals in the dry down make this fragrance Handsomely Beautiful. Its definitely Unisex, leaning masculine. I find the projection to be stronger than average for two hours. But the true beauty of this fragrance is in its Sillage. Off of my skin I caught subtle wafts as I moved about throughout the day. But off of clothes this fragrance left a trail that lingered in the air long enough for me to walk back through it. I wear Late Harvest year round. But in the warmer months I only wear it at night.

This is fantastic. Fort & Manle describes this scent as: "Grandad’s old leather tobacco pouch...seasoned by the dipping of his rosewood pipe and...The aroma of cherry pipe tobacco." That goal was achieved. That is exactly what Late Harvest smells like. This is a warm, comforting, nostalgic fragrance that is just perfect for the chilly days of October and November. This scent is transportive. It takes you to a cozy den or private library, with supple leather chairs and cherry wood bookshelves, which contain volumes of leather-bound books, where you, your dad or your grandfather sits, filling his pipe with rich, sweet, cherry tobacco as he smokes and reads the leather-wrapped adventures of Allan Quartermain for hours. Update: Late Harvest is Fall/Autumn in a bottle. It is just sensational. It has surpassed Burberry London as the fragrance that most brings the Thanksgiving holiday season to mind. This is a 10/10 fragrance.

This is my first from this house and yes it is abit expensive for my liking personally, but I am a big Tobacco fragrance lover as is my partner, so we did end up getting it finally! I have only sprayed it on myself once, and I know this is not a warm weather scent so... firstly, I’d like to point out the performance on this isn’t the best by all means... I would say it probably lasted about two hours on my skin. However, this really does remind me of sitting back next to the fire with the family around over Christmas opening presents as a child. Yes this is an absolute masterpiece. I look forward to using this next winter. Maybe when it’s been left on my shelf a little longer the performance might get a little better (I’m hoping) 😍 My partner reckons this shouldn’t be worn by a woman, but I think that he’s just saying that So he has the whole bottle to himself😂 no way fckeeeeer

I VERY hesitantly blind bought a bottle of this based on the reviews and was initially a bit taken aback when I smelled this. I was expecting a drier pipe tobacco smoke shop vibe, possibly along the lines of Pure Havane, but this smell is much more akin to a freshly opened box of hookah tobacco. I've never thought I would describe a tobacco scent as 'juicy' but that's what I get from this. Juicy, rich, candied cherry tobacco. All that being said, I LOVE IT anyway. The rosewood note is really distinguishable in the dry down and it lasts on my skin 12+ hours. Totally unisex. The quality is as high as expected from the house. overall a 9/10 for me.

I've been searching for "The Perfect" cherry pipe tobacco scent for years, and this is the closest I've come to wanting a full bottle. On my female skin, I get a nice, smooth cherry pipe tobacco with some rosewood. I don't get any vanilla, rose or the coconut some mention. It smells like the wafts of an older man smoking his cherry tobacco pipe as I walk close by and it's blowing in the breeze. A heavenly smell. I would certainly love to smell this on a man, but I'm still debating a full (expensive) bottle for me. August 26, 22 update-I bought the bottle. No regrets!!

This far exceeded my already high expectations. It is a bit expensive but worth it, if you’re serious about tobacco fragrances. A wonderful, juicy cherry mixed with an assertive tobacco. There is some vanilla and hints of other notes as well. Performance is above average but don’t expect a beast mode fragrance. Most realistic pipe tobacco I own. 9.25/10

I absolutely LOVE this! It wasn't even on my radar. I received a sample and forgot about it. This is AMAZING. Sweet tobacco with a wonderful cherry note. It went straight to the wishlist!

Let me start off by saying I hate cherry. Cherry anything - snacks, desserts, smells, scents... actual cherries. They make me sick. But I really really enjoy this fragrance. The opening is very obvious and pretty realistic pipe tobacco with a hint of a warm cherry smell, but it almost immediately settles down into a soft, musky wood reminiscent of late fall evenings and all the deep colors it brings with it. The cherry tobacco becomes something of a background singer after first spray, but remains prominent enough to make the fragrance interesting. My one gripe? It doesn’t last for anything. This became a skin scent on me almost immediately, and I have to bury my nose into my arm just to get a whiff. It seems like typically tobacco is one of those types of scents that lasts forever, but not here. You will be disappointed at the longevity. The sillage is not great either. For the price, this stuff should be projecting to the heavens. Overall a 7/10 - enjoy the scent, hate the performance.

I get a beautiful smell of crunchy orange leaves in the opening, with a maraschino cherry inflection woven in. I was expecting cherry pipe, and was pleasantly met with a very realistic autumnal outdoors fragrance. Sure enough the tobacco makes its way in during the mid, and it is extremely well done. It takes a few minutes to enter the humidor. I really appreciate that the tobacco accord here isn’t too full of cocoa powder, patchouli, or cherry. For me, it really resembles the real article: a pleasantly sweet cigar. The cherry is present but not over the top IMO! As it dries further (an hour or two) it attains an airy quality. The tobacco scent itself is still full of nuance and depth, but the fragrance thins and becomes pleasantly ephemeral. I can understand if someone would want a thicker beastly cloud, but I still think the smell itself is worthy of appraisal. 8.3/10

Starts boozy sweet leafy, not so much tobacco than it is tea and whiskey. This is 100% a fall appropriate fragrance. It becomes more a cured tobacco leaf as it dries and the base is a very realistic pipe tobacco - it reminds me of sniffing my grandpa’s pipe especially off of skin. The only problem is by the time you get to the base it has dropped off so much I have to bury my nose in my arm or shirt to really get anything (within a couple of hours at most). Not the best value, but an interesting profile if you like tobacco scents. Ok if you reapply or, as I like to do, layer something over it as it fades.

My husband tried Late Harvest first - on him we get the tobacco, cherry and a hint of rose, over that immediately-recognizable Fort & Manle DNA we know and love. Everything in good working order! On me, however, it smells like everything BEES. Beeswax, honey, and a metric ton of pollen. Just a face-full of those bee pollen granules, yum! Warm, waxy, dry, earthy, afternoon-sunny; I feel like this is more in line with the name Late Harvest. Pairs well with a day that has a chill in the air.

Tobacco-vanilla accords usually produce a cherry-like scent on their own, but this is apparently deepened here with an actual cherry note. I would swear I also smell coconut in here, but I think it's just the tobacco (which smells here much more like actual smoking tobacco than most tobacco-rich perfumes usually do to me). This is a very rich and profound fragrance--quite elegant and mature. This is (for me) on the pricier side, but you can tell the ingredients here are of a high quality.

Thus far, Late Harvest is the scent I've enjoyed the least in the F&M discovery set. It's still quite good, but not great. Very sweet and boozy, and smells a little too similar to Kilian's Straight to Heaven, but with the coconut turned up a couple notches. Dries down to a very light vanilla and woods. As I sample more of the scents in this discovery set, the performance just gets weaker and weaker. It's really quite disappointing because the scents are great.

Pleasant but slightly redundant take on the cherry hookah scent. The scent contains notes of cherry, tobacco, vanilla, cedar and slight rose. Scents like Fumerie Turque (Serge Lutens) and Qom Chilom (SHL 777) essentially follow the same theme, but this one has a delicate charm of its own. The slight masculine leaning scent has moderate sillage and longevity. Overall inoffensive, soft, sweet and suited for fall wear. Enjoy!

This is wayyyyy overpriced. This smells like Coconut and something creamy with hints of leather and tabaco leaf. Not masculine or femenine. This was played very safe, projection is decent so is longevity. Not bad, but also not great.

Almost identical to Raw Gold except for overall performance. Also, less animatic and more wearable than Raw Gold. Wish it would last more than 3-4 hours.

This is very heavy and sweet. Will definitely be great on some people but not me.

Glyph below me is right. This fragrance almost veers coconutty without fully committing. I had to come back and totally redo this review. There are two aspects of tobacco used in here. The much lesser degree of it that has a miniscule role in this fragrance is the same frontos styled tobacco tauer sundowner uses; not typically the tobacco I like because that variant is too basement-y to me. The other aspect of tobacco is of the dried loose aspect (my favorite part) which plays a major forward role! This tobacco acts like a mulch; like it recruited the vanilla and cherry and decided to make it's own potpourri (don't worry, it doesn't smell like actual potpourri) the vanilla and cherry do not fully reveal themselves but lets you know it's there because they know this tobacco is the king of it's throne! The sweetness is there but not overbearing at all! This is a love for me! 9 out of 10! If you have a bottle and want to swap, I'll gladly take it off your hands! I have a large amount of fragrances I do not need anynore and this late harvest is backup bottle worthy for me!

Late harvest is a disappointment from a standpoint that this is not a tobacco forward scent, not leathery and not rough & masculine. Story about the leather bag and tobacco were left only on the paper pages. In reality this fragrance is vanillic and creamy, cocconuty sweet one with a very faint cherry. Cedarwood and tobacco are barely there. Most of ingredients must also be accords, since they dont smell like actual ingredients. Projection is not big and longevity is about 5 hrs on me. Closest frag to it is Eau de Nyonya from Auphorie, so those who mourn discontinuation of it, should at least get a sample of Late Harvest.

This is beautiful, warm, comfortable, sweet juicy cherry overlaid with some tobacco, the tobacco is for me the main player, it’s a sweet Smokey delight. It’s elegant, expensive with moderate projection. It reminds me of a gentleman smoking a sweet cherry pipe. It’s Devine love smelling this on my husband.

Cherry pipe tobacco stored in a rosewood and cedar box. Boozy and sweet, not sure if it's the notes but I get hints of plum on my skin as it dries down. Autumn and winter is best for this, my little sample is still there some 4 hours later and it's very noticeable. I'd consider a full bottle for this.

I guess it does capture its namesake but I just can’t wear it. As an alcoholic, sober 7 years, all I smell is crown royal whiskey when this is on my skin. I know many people love boozie scents, I just cant.

Interesting take one cherry tobacco, not hookah for sure but dry fruity tobacco leaves . This blend has indie quality about it. Great bottle and unique juice. Rating 7/10 Not a big fan of indie perfume.

Semi-sweet cherry pipe tobacco. Very realistic smelling. If you have ever smelled Drum brand loose tobacco then this smells almost identical. 1000% masculine smelling.

Boozy... Boozy sweet blend with tobacco. I'm not sure it is cherries, but the sweetness is dark. Nice.
