Beau Gosse

My husband tried this. I had a towelette sample from Fragonard. This worked well on his chemistry. It smelled really good on him. It smells like a summery fragrance, so I’ll wait to buy it for him.

Immediately after spraying Beau Gosse on my wrist, something triggered my olfactive memory and my brain started scanning its records for a similar scent profile: this reminded me immediately of Tommy by Tommy Hilfiger. I don't have that scent anymore but having overabused it during the early high school, maaany years ago, it must have sinked in my brain; and I may remember it wrongly, but to me this is exactly the same stuff, maybe slightly more floral. I looked up the note breakdowns for both and they have nothing to do with each other, but still... The opening is a very nice, sparkling, invigorating blast of grapefruit, ever so slightly sweetened by a touch of floral notes. The scent is pretty linear, apart from the addition of some aromatic nuances after 10/15 minutes, where rosemary is slightly prominent but not enough to change the trajectory of this scent. I also smell some lavender or lavandin, but it's not listed as an official note. To me Beau Gosse is perfectly unisex, fresh, youthful and clean, and would be an excellent summer scent for the younger crowd. It doesn't last too long - around 4 hours on my skin, and a few more as a soft skin scent - but it's a nice cheapy for sunny spring and summer days. Like.

Acqua di Grasse Senteur 7/10 Si on oublie le nom donné, un peu stupide, il s'agit avant tout d'une imitation d'Acqua di Gio pour homme, mais relativement bien faite. On a simplifié la formule, en la rendant plus cohérente peut-être, plus méditerranéenne encore. Sans les notes marines, le parfum est plus propre, plus net. C'est à une promenade du côté de Nice que vous convie ce parfum : vous vous promenez dans un bois d'agrumes dans le sud est de la France, les senteurs de romarin de mêlent à celle des citronniers, le tout sur un fond légèrement boisé. Convient à mon sens plus au printemps qu'à l'été (en été, il convient plutôt de mettre des eaux de cologne, à mon sens), mais tourne peut-être moins par forte chaleur que son modèle. Longévité 1/2 Elle est modérée, environ 3 heures. Sillage 1.5/2 Il s'agit d'un parfum discret, frais et agréable. Masculinité 1/2 On ne peut pas non plus dire que ce parfum révèle une grande virilité, ni une grande originalité. Evolution 2/4 Elle est plutôt plate, ce qui pourrait bien lui être une qualité par ailleurs. Total 12.5/20

Well, the name is ridiculous. This handsome young gentleman could be gorgeous lady of any age. It smells like extremly well done perfume from the end of the '90, like something exclusive and expensive. Somewhat aquatic, that would be the lotus, but no calone or other components with the usual chemical aftertaste. A bit sweet, nicely aromatic and jucy, but natural, bright and fresh. Comparison with Eau de Lierre and Un Jardin Sur Le Nil stands, it's similar in style with much better longevity. Great on textile. So, if you wear this, you will get compliments and asked what is it that you're wearing. It's familiar, like something delicious you smelled on someone you liked years ago on summer holiday. I might get myself a bottle for summer.

i bought this cologne from paris shop.near of perfume museum. opening is really basic and not original. that is just like wet towel smell. mid notes are better than top notes and when bottom notes appears the fragrance gains its chracter. i can feel citrus and ocean notes at the top. that reminds me acqua di gio. i think this cologne is not masculine. soft, flowery and citrusy. you can use this in summer. because it is fresh and clean. i bought 100 ml for 34 euros. i think it is not expensive. if you like unisex and fresh fragrances you can try it.

It does have a little « Fanta soda » note, but not more than many orange parfums like Ombre des Merveilles, after all. I would even say that it is quite nice, and highly tolerable compared to nauseating syrupy spicy other trendy things for men. I like it, simple, fresh, with some sweet depth and not a ridiculous swallowed ego. Beau Gosse should be translated as Handsome Guy, in modern SMS language it is abbreviated to BG and it no longer has anything to do with the notion of child or young man. As a woman, I could easily wear this.

Fragancia fresca, veraniega, cítrica con un toque floral y fondo amaderado. Estupenda para lugares muy cálidos y playeros, ya que no atosiga por su proyección ligera. La duración es corta, como a las 2 horas queda pegada a piel y si quieres que proyecte más hay que sobreaplicar. El aroma está muy bien hecho y lo puede llevar cualquiera que guste de aromas frescos. Para mi gusto le falta más duración y proyección, por lo demás, un paseo precioso por un jardín mediterráneo. Calificación: 7

Soft, light, transparent slightly sweet floral with a soft musky drydown. Like and possibly a love? In between for now. Pleasant but not sure it's special or my type...seems a little more mainstream and/or young.

This one appears as if it had no personality. It is kind of fresh, but not really. It promises some kind of depth that never comes up. It is certainly not cheap but that doesn't mean it has much class. And while you are still thinking what it's all about, it disappears. It is neither good nor bad, it is almost nothing. **

Only citrus ! Not very original, not so masculine. Not for my husband. I don't like it.

I liked this scent a lot, and I think more people shouldn't sleep on it. The other notes mentioned in reviews confuse me a lot. When I spray it on myself I get a very aquatic smelling blend of mimosa (the smell of clean linens and like) and a very neutral citrusy smell that's kind of bergamot-y, but not quite lemon either. It's a wonderful, clean scent, for everyday or essential wear as it goes with pretty much anything, it makes you smell like a slightly masculine set of freshly laundered clothes that were left to dry near the ocean (In a good way). One of my favorite fragonard scents. I could see why some would find it boring, but the sillage is decent (I have gotten compliments on it) and the durability is pretty solid and lasts for a few hours. If you like clean smelling scents, it's hard to go wrong with this one, especially for the price. You can get one of those very large aluminum bottles for not a ton, and it smells amazing.

This is truly unisex. I received a towelette sample in a Fragonard catalog and I could hardly tell if it was meant for a man or a woman, so I applied some to both myself and my beau. We both absolutely loved the scent, very clean citrus and inoffensive. I’ll be buying a bottle and we‘ll be sharing! It’s so clean, I love unisex clean scents like this. Fairly linear but that’s typical to Fragonard and really what I find charming about the house.

Acqua di Gio through and through. Not Tommy, not Eau de Lierre, not Un Jardin Sur Le Nil, not anything else. Acqua di Gio.
