Belle de Grasse

Beautiful mimosa. Real mimosa flower is very sweet, almost honey-like with dirty animalistic facet. Undeniably sunny and fluffy, with a touch of herbaceous woody green that evoques green almonds. It's one of those flowers that should not be introduced to the interior of our homes without caution. Like lilies and hyacinth, it can make inhabitants physicaly ill. What I like in this interpretation is the sensation of airiness, transparency and absence of everything even remotely heavy or dirty. And that makes it more wearable and successful than the others. Green woody touch is maintained to my sheer delight. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I do. I didn't even think I needed a mimosa in my life. Dewy ozonic quality is barely perceptible and adds another dimension to overall enchantement. It's a little wonder and wearing it makes me happy.

Wow! This is absolutely stunning! Fragonard is really out-doing themselves lately. This is a sublime powdery mimosa that is simultaneously fresh. I notice quite a lot of heliotrope, giving it a strong almond note. There are sweet green notes, which appears to be lilac based on the pyramid, but lilac doesn't specifically jump out at me. Belle de Grasse is a marvelous spring wedding bouquet with high quality that I rarely find in perfumes these days. Lasts many hours and projects like a perfume should. It's not going to suffocate anybody, and it won't disappear after an hour either. I envision Cinderella's wedding day, complete with blue birds, sunshine, and a white carriage. Magical mimosa. Also takes me back to summer in France and Monaco.

VERY powdery and floral. I was actually taken aback when I first sniffed it. I wasn't sure whether I loved it or hated it at first, but after wandering around the store with it on my hand for a bit, I felt like I had to buy it. It's very innocent and screams spring. The violet stands out, and since it's so powdery, I can also get a whiff of baby powder(?) in it, despite the fact that it's not listed as a note. The mimosa and musk also stand out quite a lot. 1000% recommend for more sunny activities like going to a park. (Stay away from bees though lol)

At first I disliked the marzipan note in the mid-base notes, but I've come to really enjoy the quirky balance between verdant-aquatic freshness, dusty mimosa pollen and barely-sweet almond (which I realise is a facet of mimosa), especially as I somehow get all of those elements in each sniff, rather than a sequence through time from application to drydown. Lovely to wear in warm weather and much more interesting than it first appeared to be, I've been spraying this a lot the last few weeks.

I have always loved the Mimosa and Lilac fragrance so when I saw this I had to have it even though it was a blind buy. I was delighted when it arrived and I could immediately smell the Mimosa and Lilac. It is a soft powdery soapy fragrance, like expensive soap. I wear this in the spring and Summer. Sadly it does not last long so you have to reapply but if you spray it on your clothes it lasts much longer. My husband always comments on how good I smell when I wear this.

I love this scent. It's sad these are so cheap in Europe but in the USA we pay a ton of $. This scent is amazing. The mimosa shines through on this one. I live in humid weather. This does the job + made with natural sprays. I was lucky when my friend went to the Fragonard factory, picked this up for me + a 600 ML refill of my Violette combined 107 euro when 1 USD = 1.01 euro. I will buy again, I hope they don't stop making it or Mon Lys.

Got this today and it’s love at first sniff (full size bottle bought straightaway). On me, mimosa and lilac are the most prominent notes on equal measures. Fresh, delicately green, and subtly earthy. It reminds me of going to a flower shop where you can smell hints of floral, greens, stems and leaves of plants and flowers, with an undertone of soil. Also reminds me of a lush English garden in spring. It’s joyous in its own serene way.

Oh, this is such a fabulous Summer fragrance, full of mimosa - initially, it's like burying your face in the powdery little yellow flowers and just breathing in their scent. Then, violet and lilac with a bit of heliotrope in the drydown. You notice some slight bergamot and musk, but mainly this is all about the early Summer flowers and being gloriously alive. A wonderful holiday fragrance which makes me feel happy. Highly recommended.

This is so pretty! I absolutely love this. It’s such a joyful, sparkly, happy scent. It’s so sweet and bubbly. And at the same time it smells fresh, clean and powdery. Innocent. This has been my signature for spring and summer ever since Poeme by Lancome was discontinued, and imho (as a mimosa lover) this is better. This is one of the few scents that literally raises my dopamine levels.

Clean and blossomy fragrance with a real radiant 'solar' quality. Delivers exactly what it promises, this smells like the platonic ideal of a Provence flower garden on a sunny, breezy day. Beautifully blended and great longevity for the price. Feels very classic, and reminds me of my nan, who loved mimosa flowers and the south of France, in the best possible way.

I’ve spent the past week in the South of France wearing Belle de Grasse and it’s perfect in every way; a medley of powder, mimosa and gentle musk. I love this persistent but soft scent more than words can express. I will always think of Provence, beautiful food and local wines when I wear Belle de Grasse.

100% photorealistic mimosa. Smells exactly like burying your face in the yellow fluffy flowers. A very nostalgic scent to me, 10000 stars out of 10, I will wear the crap out of it this spring and Summer, and probably buy a backup or two. I seriously can't believe it cost me less than 40 euros for 100ml.

Addictive and unique spring/summer scent (maybe not for the hottest days, however, as it is a bit heavy). Reminds me of a very green banana. The bottle is nice too, as the sticker is printed on both sides.

100% Mimosa soliflore. It’s like being surrounded by blooming golden wattle trees in country Victoria in Australia. It’s dry, hazy and yet floral at the same time.

This is a true mimosa scent, I love it. Just clear mimosa without any additives.

I totally agree that this has a sort of innocent smell about it. I sprayed it on my arm and then wandered around the Marks and Spencer's food hall, occasionally getting a waft of a beautiful, sweet and sunny flowery scent. It definitely smells yellow! I went back up to the beauty section and bought it immediately. I definitely get a hint of the violet leaf sneaking around in here which might be what some folk are struggling with? There's a touch of beautiful lilac too and of course a soft musk but essentially, this is powdery mimosa from start to finish! It's fresh and happy and quite sweet without being cloying - I think the bergamot gives it a little hint of citrus that stops it becoming toooo sweet. So to sum up, I think it's mainly mimosa with some powdery and soft lilac but there is a hint of citrus from the bergamot, some greenness from the violet leaf and some sweetness from the heliotrope. I honestly don't smell orange blossom here and that note bothers me so it seems like it's a small amount! This is one of those perfumes that doesn't smell quite as special when you put your nose to your skin. It's at it's best in the air around you, creating a happy little scent bubble!

I got a sample of this recently. Agree about the lilac being lovely, prominent yellow florals, and a whiff of playdoh. I get a good amount of powdery heliotrope and lipstick as well. Very feminine, for floral lovers. The company blurb says: "An olfactory rustle of violet leaves over a drop of bergamot essence reveals a heart of mimosa absolute and orange blossom, underscored by lilac. The base note of heliotrope is enriched with an intense musk." I don't think there's anything quite like this out in the marketplace right now, so if you don't want to smell like anyone else, try this! I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys airy, floral, very feminine perfumes. I myself am not a floral purist so for my own motivation to wear or buy this is a "like" not a "love", but I bet this will be a LOVE for those of you who love florals! 5 stars, Fragonard! Awesome fragrance house!

Out of all "Belles" this is my favourite one. I like the smell of heliotrope and this one is a very good and not a synthetic one. Somehow, I dislike some of the notes, which I suspect could be mimosa but I'm not quite sure. It's a really nice and powdery, a bit soapy and soft smell. In the dry down, it really is similar to Heliotrope Gingembre by the same perfume house for me but this one is "colder" while the other one is a warmer scent. I once sprayed them on two paper blotters and several days later, I could hardly tell them apart. It's a definite spring-daytime scent, it doesn't stand out but just smells pleasant and it's a nice smell of cleanliness

I often feel a bit of fear with violet leaf notes, as sometimes they can throw off the balance of a fragrance. Fortunately, in this perfume, the violet leaf note doesn't disrupt the balance at all. Instead, it gives the mimosa note a fresh twist. Imagine some dew on the mimosa flowers, making them feel fresher. I blind-bought this fragrance and was initially nervous it might not be good. When I first sprayed it, I didn’t like it, but after a few minutes, it transformed into a natural mimosa scent on my skin, with a fresh and moist touch due to the violet leaf in a balanced dose.

Gentle yellow floral, almond-y and sunny. Smells sweet in a natural way. The more I try it, the more I like it. My partner describes it as cucumber smell, I kind of see the point but don't agree with it. There is a fresh aquatic note in it that puts everything very cheerful and vibrant. It's EDT and it is a fleeting beauty, it is my new favorite. [EDIT] It is very gentle and I wish it was just a liiiittle bit more intense, it's very inoffensive and fresh. I wish Fragonard made Belle de Grasse into an EdP, I would buy in a heartbeat.

Belle de Grasse is a mimosa meringue cake, it’s creamy and sweet but it is also very clean, almost soapy. Orange blossom, lilac and heliotrope merge with mimosa into a long-lasting floral cloud. Upon first spray it feels like burying your nose in a bunch of freshly-cut mimosa blossoms. Belle de Grasse is not a soliflore composition though, as I get a distinct lilac note with powdery-green undertones. This is an easy compliment-getter but it is also a rather intense perfume, so be careful not to overspray.

An uplifting fragrance. The yellow flower bursts at the opening, then turns powdery. I was looking for a spring/summer fragrance and was told about this. It is mimosa with citrus scent, but the bergamot is not overwhelming or sharp. It does remind me of the ambience in Grasse on a sunny day with smiling people surrounded by flowers and grass. A good fragrance for lovers of yellow flowers.

A lovely mimosa, Belle de Grasse is slightly powdery but not with a dense feeling. There is a note that makes the overall effect quite airy, maybe even breezy. This effect reminds me of Mimosa Tanneron from Perris Monte Carlo, but less bold and blended with comforting floral notes : rose, violet... It's also slightly ambery. A charming tribute to the flowers from le Pays de Grasse.

This has a cucumber smell to me. It's refreshing in a watery sort of way. I expected it to be much more floral, although I definitely get a lot of violet in the opening and mimosa throughout. It's much more aquatic than floral to me. I think it's very unisex too. I like Belle de Paris and Belle de Arles better, personally.

Fluffy, powdery mimosa with a slightly vanillic heliotrope in the background. Very beautiful. I find the powderiness of the mimosa very soothing too, I often wear it before going to bed. But as someone else mentioned - only for true mimosa lovers, since it’s very prominent here

Mimosa has never been a note that I've paid attention to or appreciated, so I am surprised to like this fragrance as much as I do. Powdery Mimosa, lilac, and musk. Very clean and completely inoffensive, suitable for all ages.

I had a notable gap in my repertoire in the shape of a yellow floral, so I did some research on an affordable option, and already owning some Fragonard scents, this seemed like a sensible choice. It's decent value for a large bottle and I can't criticise the makeup, but the mimosa note just does not sit well on my skin. I love all the other notes, especially heliotrope and musk, but the mimosa is definitely front and centre, and it just smells slighlty mouldy/musty and sour on me. The longevity is also pretty poor, with it being pretty much undetectable after 5 hours. Belle d'Amour is much more my cup of tea.

On my skin the bergamot of the opening lasts about 30 seconds, and then there is the mimosa. There isn't much else than this, mimosa that goes from sharp and dusty to sweet and dusty (some would say "fluffy", but it smells like pollen to me). The orange blossom and heliotrope try to mitigate it a little, but they only play second fiddle. This is a bunch of mimosa that has been sitting in a vase for about one week, all the water is gone and it's starting to dry out. It's uncompromising, strong and angular. For truly mimosa lovers.

I appreciate that the mimosa isn't overly sweet here but there is an underlying scent that is almost chemical. I wish I knew what is causing that. Bad blending or notes that clash? Testing from a towelette, while convenient, doesn't exactly give the full experience of the perfume, so maybe that is the issue. I suspect this might have to be sprayed on to get the full measure. Since I am not the biggest fan of mimosa or lilac in the first place, except in a few rare instances, I'm not willing to buy a bottle to find out.

Imagined Belle de Grasse eau de toilette (launched 2020) might conjure visions of Provence's sun-kissed flower fields; it does but on a cool, overcast day. Green violet leaf, sweet mimosa, and refreshing aquatic notes prevail. Orange blossom appears too briefly at the heart; the lilac and heliotrope escape me. The dry-down brings an odd, lingering musky (or musty) note, reminding me of someone in the past, a grandma perhaps, who had worn a similar scent.✿ Scent family: Floral Longevity on me: moderate

Maybe it’s because I tested this from a towelette, there’s a note that throws me off. It’s not mimosa or Iris. I can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe it’s the combination of accords that don’t work for my chemistry. I really like Belle de Paris though from this line.

There's a note here that really doesn't work for me. I think it's the mimosa or lilac (I don't know these notes well enough to distinguish), but either way, I don't like it. Much prefer Belle de Paris from the same line.

This is one of my best blind buys in recent memory. Lovely realistic mimosa in the beginning, it's a little green, herbal, bitter as it settles the other flowers start to come in and the fragrance gets powdery and creamy with violet, heliotrope and hints of lilac. It dries to a powdery green mimosa and creamy violet/heliotrope (it has a some play-doh almond vanilla which I love) L'eau D'Hiver on me, which is one of favorite scents. Creamy, powdery, and very pretty. Great offering from Fragonard. Good quality, longevity and sillage. I usually only need one or two sprays and I always get compliments when I wear it.

A stunning, photorealistic mimosa scent, with an hint of lilac! Only for the real mimosa lovers! The longevity is impressive on my skin (12h), with a moderate sillage. Excellent price/quality ratio, as for many other Fragonard's creations. Oh, this is such an underrated brand

The Fragonard website does list it, as well as Belle d’Arles (not yet in the database). BdG is a beautiful slightly bitter mimosa-violet. Powdery, flowery, more natural than cosmetic. Green maybe, as vetiver can be, but in a clearly dry way. Lovely, carefree and fresh.

It's all about lilac but not about the smell of lilac flowers in the air, but about how you would have broken an entire branch with leaves and flowers and squeezed it in your hand and smell fresh green-bitter, very pleasant. perfumer Shyamala Maisondieu

I just got this for my sister from the duty free in paris airport. It does remind me of mimosa pour moi from l'artisan parfumeur, but this one is much lighter and airy. It also resembles Jo Malone cardamom mimosa. Yellow powdery florals at their best.

Fhaldara, You can find it In Grasse in the museum Fragonard. I’ve been there in July and had a chance to smell this new fragrance. It’s a light, relaxing and Flowery scent, the bootle is lovely too.

Soft mimosa, lilac, heliotrope bouquet, so feminine and soft, innocent, so demure. This is lovely, refined and somewhat old fashioned. It reminds me a little of Aqua Allegoria Bouquet No. 1.

I really wanted to like this, but all I got was heliotrope and lilac overload with mimosa. I'll stick to Lilas

Does anyone know where this can be found? The Fragonard website doesn't list it.
