Cedre

My imaginary boyfriend wears this. But since he doesn't exist its hard for him wear fragrances, so I wear it for him. This is a very straightforward scent there are four elements warm, fresh, sharp, and spice and they remain the same throughout but its the way they all work together that is wonderful: The cedre is sharp yet warm, the cinnamon is warm and spicy, the apple is sharp and fresh and the green tea is fresh and spicy the musk lies underneath it all keeping it close to the skin. I really don't smell the lemon scents or sage in here at all, the apple is really distinctive and smells nothing like lemon or sage. This is a year round scent, it smells fresh in the summer, and comforting on jumpers in the winter; and yeah its a bit masculine but until my imaginary boyfriend shows up its mine!

At first sniff I thought, masculine. But then it morphs into a D&G Light Blue-esque beauty. To look at the bottle and read the name, you also think it will be masculine, but it's perfectly unisex I assure you. I can't stop smelling it!! Might have to buy!! LOVE FRAGONARD! If you're thinking of trying a Fragonard product for the first time and are unsure about blind buying, all I can say is they are a GREAT company that makes beautiful and high quality fragrances! Huge huge Fragonard fan here! The more I smell from them, the more I love...super rare to find one I don't love.

At the first sight it is not my kind of perfume, I am no citrus girl. But it is woody and warm and fresh at the same time. When ever I wear it I receive compliments. It brightens up a dull december day. It has a good longevity and moderate sillage, it can be sprayed on generously without creating a heavy cloud.

if i say something about this, it could be a forest in the white sky! because of this, after that, my favourite fragrance is cedar. if you use this, you'll feel mysterious like a person at the sensual forest. anyway, i'd like to buy it more. :)

Fragonard Cèdre is a relatively linear fragrance on me. It's mainly a creamy cedar and clean musk, while sweet lemon and mandarine bring in a bit of sparkles. I too get the connotation of D&G Light Blue. I'd say toning down the sharp lemon and aquatic aspects of Light Blue and amplifying the creamy musky cedar base, the result might be quite close to Cèdre. The sillage of Cèdre is relatively soft, and the longevity is around 7 hours. I'd recommend it to those who enjoy fragrances similar to Light Blue, but would like a less citrusy or a more all-year-round version.

I smelled apple as soon as I sniffed this. Bought immediately. The box says'Atlas cedar wood, cinnamon, apple, green tea, musk, ambergris'. I only smell apple and cedar wood which is fine by me. Would not recognise ambergris, can anyone tell me what sort of thing this smells of? This is a lovely comforting, warm but fresh fragrance for all year round. One of my best buys. Don't know why the pyramid doesn't show apple.

I agree with butfly23: On First sniff I instantly recognized a very natural smelling apple note, but no citruses whatoever. This is a clean, fresh and/but sweet fragrance, which makes it a well rounded unisex fragrance. Good for the office as well as any other occasion. Very nice.

Nice fresh, aromatic, aquatic scent. Has similarities with D&G Light Blue for woman and Paco Rabanne Black XS. I would say this is an unisex fragrance.

Just tried this from a sample towelette and strangely, I can barely smell anything. I’ve been a big Fragonard fan for years but have lately wondered if they’re watering things down—I’ve returned the last two bottles (Vanille and Ma Rose) I purchased from them here in the US because the top notes simply weren’t there. (One of the bottles I ordered was also 3 years old according to the batch code). I love their scents and philosophy but I hope quality of the core business isn’t suffering as they expand their boutiques and other ancillary offerings.

Strangely this reminded me of the Smelly Belly toys we had as kids. To me, it almost smells watermelon-like (real watermelon, not the fake watermelon smell) which didn’t make any sense until I saw that apple was one of the notes. The sweetness of the apple is more prominent than the wood or citrus or spice on my skin. Very light, not unpleasant, just not what I was expecting.

I was Xmas shopping yesterday & had a long awaited good sniff of a few of these Fragonard fragrances - such beautiful packaging, soooo many to choose from - I will certainly have to go back on a day when I don't need to do anything else! Although I didn't buy anything or even decide which I wanted, I did have a spray of this & felt it was very similar to D&G Light Blue, very dry, fresh & woody, could make a lovely gift for a Light Blue fan - my coat stills smells of it today so long lasting on clothes too.

Bright citrusy and posh. Very clean and elegant scent. Cedar being the main note but adorned with orange, lemon, tea and ambergris. I love it, super simple but oh so beautiful! it is unisex.

I bought this perfume during an autumn break in the south of France. It smells gorgeous, really fresh and woody. This is one of those perfumes that always attracts compliments!

A nice citric fresh, warm, spicy perfume, it remidns me of Black Xs of Paco Rabanne with the cedar taking the place of the praline

It smells like D&G Light Blue with less lemon thus much nicer!
