Yes, it does have a similarity with Coco Mademoiselle and a little less so Angel. I really thought it would be a heavier scent when I saw the list of notes. Yes, the patch is up front and there is sweetness BUT this has a big crisp twist of citrus and pepper. It's a bit brighter and sharper than Coco and Angel. I actually prefer Diamant. I used to wear Coco a lot when going out at night. Now I think Diamant could well be worn in the day as well as night. It's feminine and it is very French. It's almost linear on my skin. The sweetness eases off a bit and the pepper is more evident. It's a scent that has got under my skin. It's addictive. A love for sure. I get good sillage in this warm room and longevity is moderate.

I have a big collection of Fragonard perfumes. This one is one of my favorites as are Etoile and Frivole. To me this is a beautiful floral perfume that can be worn year round and for every occassion. I get a lot of compliments when i wear this and get asked what the name of my perfume is. I don't get a lot of patchouli on the dry down even though the notes say it has a lot of it. I believe the other notes blend together masking the patchouli as a separate note. This makes this perfume complex and smells very high end. Diamant to me smells very similar to Mademoiselle but just more peppery in the opening... and much prettier with more florals. I wear this perfume year round and highly recommend it.

I actually purchased a small bottle of this in Paris at the Fragonard perfume factory! What an absolutely beautiful and exquisite fragrance it is. It brings back some wonderful memories of my short (first ever) trip to France. My bottle is the EDP of 30 ml. This fragrance is warm, sexy, a little sweet and certainly unlike anything I've ever owned before. I have received many compliments while wearing this (all positive)! You only need the smallest amount, which means it lasts for ages, and its longevity is respectable. I only hope that when I finish my tiny 30 ml bottle that I can re-purchase this gorgeous fragrance in a larger size.

First the citrus, then clear rose & jasmine underpinned with caramel. It’s not complicated, and it's very refreshing, with a pleasant clarity. Like a sweet caramel dessert with rosewater ice and an orange slice. Natural, pretty and like all Fragonards, superb quality. Lasts well, and office-friendly, doesn’t make a statement or challenge anyone, but not a standard floral either. Great in summer, with that mandarin twist! Recommended :) Update: the drydown is stunning - even better than the initial spray - and it's really persistent, perfuming clothes, bed linen, everything. This lasts and lasts. Beautiful.

I bought this in Paris, I remember the gorgeous Polish woman describing this as the perfume you wear in the dead of winter with your furs and diamonds and she was so right! I find this to be mature and uber glamorous. Lasts all night and as I only wear it when I go out; when I catch a whiff of this, either on a coat, scarf or just in the lid I have nostalic flashes of parties and the delightful polak who sold this scent to me.. come to think of it ~ her story, opulent ways, Fragonard/Paris and the scent itself combine to create a milestone in my life and my love with perfume.. I wish she knew..

Let me underline the beauty of this nonpopular, not famous fragnance. I consider that this scent deserves a great attention and respect, when i put Diamant on me, indeed i don't need my diamond ring, i feel beautiful and happy enough while wearing this fragnance)))) There is perfect harmony of spices, flowers and fruit) it looks piquant because of pepper and very feminine due to rose with jasmine and sexy due to musk! Thank you so much Fragonard!

Another beautiful creation from Fragonard! Lately, I've been on a patchouli kick, and I'm very impressed with this one. It reminds me a bit of Coromandel, but patchouli here is lighter, less medicinal/earthy. Coromandel goes a different direction with woods, incense, and amber, while Fragonard stays pretty linear, it's slightly lighter, more aromatic. Nonetheless beautiful, with a fantastic performance and impressive quality, as always!

I was wearing it to the concert of one of my all time favourite bands, and the singer who is one of my biggest celebrity crushes since I was a teenager (so I have a crush on him for a very very long time now ;D ), said to me after the show that I smell so good! So that was the best and the most important compliment I ever got on any perfume! And now I have a special thing in my heart for Diamant and I will be buying it forever!!!

This Scent is beautiful but very gentle, in the first phase perceptibly similar to Chanel Mademoiselle edp version. Then it changes to a more delicate one with a resembling plum, a slight rose, and no caramel at all. I do not feel jasmine. After 2 hours there is barely anything to detect. Too bad my skin does not match with it because the manufacturer is good. I was expecting great durability. But i didnt found it.

I've had the chance to try this one out. It opens up spicy, masculine. First I thought it was for men.....but then comes that sweet drydown, which is "amazing". I fell in love with this one and I want it! Maybe a lot of people who are disappointed in perfumes such as "Candy" from Prada, should try this one, because the drydown is sweet, depending on your chemistry that is.

Fresh and spicy, yet complex and interesting to wear. It does resemble Coco Mademoiselle and Angel, but with a more fresh twist to it. Sillage and lasting power are both very good, the patchouli -citrus combo is perfect for colder weather so all in all, a good fragrance!

Diamant shines and sparkles. It plays with roses, caramel, oranges, plum within a peppery-vanilla bath. Masterful blend which is natural, complex and interesting, while being fresh, easy to wear and mass appealing. It associates with a lady who has her life together.

Agreed this reminds me of Coco Mademoiselle or Miss Dior Cherie. This is very comparable in smell and a bit cheaper. The longevity is awesome and there's a serious patchouli punch going on in this. I enjoy it!

Great daily unisex scent : fresh and warm at the same time.

Based on EDT concentration. Upon spraying, Fragonard Diamant smells quite 'perfumey' in a powdery way. After a few minutes, when it calms down, I can discern a minty patchouli, sweet orange and caramel, and some pepper which soon fades afterwards. The combination of orange and caramel in Diamant doesn't come out as orange flavoured hard candy on me: the orange is just slightly juicy, and the caramel is not gooey, but powdery and inedible, which kind of reminds me of Alice & Peter Bloody Orange. The patchouli here is clean, but it doesn't simply mix into an indistinct fruit-patchouli accord. Instead, it provides a distinct underlayer for the powdery orange-caramel, and only mellows into the puff of caramel, orange and delicate flower petals later in the drydown to deepen the fragrance a bit. The sillage is moderate to soft and the longevity is around 8 hours. The note list of Diamant seems to be a relatively warm fragrance, but the minty aspect of patchouli and the powdery texture actually renders it a cool, even fresh for a fragrance with gourmand elements. I'd definitely recommend it to those who enjoy powdery fragrances with a gourmand twist.

This is indeed very similar to Coco Mademoiselle (I own it) but it's not exactly the same. The pepper in the opening goes away fast so don't let that scare you off. Diamant smells slightly more mature to me than Coco Mademoiselle. Both are elevated and classy fragrances. If you love Coco Mademoiselle then this would be a fun purchase for you and more affordable! I totally disagree with the pyramid, which has citrus at the top, followed by sweet and shortly thereafter, caramel?? The citrus goes away after like 1 minute, and this is definitely NOT a sweet/caramel (gourmand) fragrance (I can't detect those traces at all). The pyramid doesn't even mention floral, which is just inaccurate because rose and jasmine are predominant. The pyramid for this should closely resemble Coco Mademoiselle plus the pepper. After 5-10 minutes of wearing it's primarily jasmine+rose+patchouli. Again a very good dupe for Coco Mademoiselle so use that as your point of reference.

(EDT version) I am on the fence with Diamant. I find the notes very intriguing - I love plum, vanilla and caramel so I keep testing this perfume and I just can`t seem to figure it out. It starts off a little bit too peppery for my taste, I am not a huge fan of prominent pepper or oranges in my perfumes so at this stage I always feel like I want to pass it on but then it warms up and all the goodies join in - patchouly, caramel, plum. The drydown is very pretty but strangely I could see a guy wearing it as well, it does have some unisex quality to it. I still can`t decide whether I want to buy it or not but I definitely enjoy wearing my sample. Longevity is good and sillage is medium - not bad for an eau de toilette and I am very interested in trying the EDP just to see how I get on with it.

Diamant is gorgeous, and I love its minty freshness! I’m not sure where that mintiness is coming from but it beautifully light and fresh and just barely reminiscent of cool menthol. Underneath the coolness though, there’s a distant dark chocolately feel coming from the caramel and patch I think. As it dries down, a cool, almost icy musk emerges. I like this just a little more than Baroque, it’s more summery and fresh feeling and lasts longer than Baroque. Notes ~ Bursting with dazzling mistery, DIAMANT leaves a luminous trail of desire behind all those who wear it. Diamant is a sweet-oriental, with mandarin, orange and pepper as top notes, balanced by rose, jasmin and plum as middle notes, against a background of vanilla, patchouli, musc and caramel.

I adore this fragrance. Fresh, sexy, sensual. Great for summer. I agree with VioletLily. Though it is not listed there must some mint: what you get first is a whiff of minty peppery citruses, which I find rather unusual. There may be some similarities with coco mademoiselle, especiallt the patchouli/citruses combo but I think it is very different from Angel. I really dislike angel. I find it bitter and nauseating... Sorry for Angel lovers... The caramel in Diamant rather brings about a comforting and enticing sweetness, perhaos in the vein of Prada Candy. I feel highly seductive and easy-going when wearing Diamant, though it is very subjective. The kind of fragrance which brings me instant happiness.

Diamant is peppered lemons, subliminal cristalline flowers, and a sweet patchouli biscuit, coated with a drop of plum syrup. Well-known structure but refined result, much better than many other attempts. It makes me thing of a proud young girl, lively, fresh, who has still preserved enough of her childhood to still love the tenderness of caramel candies and believe in her own bright future. I see people comparing it to Angel, which smells catastrophic on me but effectively cleaner and even glorious on some happy others. So let’s say I’ve found my personal Angel, if not my Guardian Angel. And anyway I love the part of me that this perfume resurrects.

Anyone saying it reminds them of angel would be completely accurate for 'Angel-Mugler' contains 99% of the notes in 'Diamant' except for pepper. Now that said the perfume 'Angel" does not suit my chemistry (probably due to a few notes in it's 2 dozen notes complex mix). I do own Coco mademoiselle also and the comparison is due to the similarity in the orange/vanilla/Musk hints, however those notes are quite muted on my skin with 'Coco' but much more present with 'Diamant'. On the rare occasion that I may own a fragrance that I adore in the bottle but dislike it on my skin, instead of discarding it, I'll mist it on my (textile appropriate) clothes.

Another oriental perfume I've tried in my quest to find one that resembles escada collection! This one does not but is still very nice. I love the dry down on this, it's really warm and cozy. It does remind me of a sweeter Angel. The first spray is lighter and floral. I bought the edp in france but they seem to only sell the edt online if you're trying to buy from the usa. I bought the shower gel and lotion online and it smells only like the top notes of this scent, which doesn't do it for me because I LOVE the base notes. If you are the same and wait for this perfume to dry down, I would pass on the lotion and shower gel.

I got this as a sample a year ago and I am just now finishing it up. It is really elegant and smooth in the air, but the pepper adds some mysteriousness, and also makes this scent just a little more unisex. It is still rightfully a women's fragrance, but for a man on a night out - I don't think anyone would bat an eye. Longevity is great, sillage throughout the course of me wearing it has been fine to great at best. Overall, nice scent and it's gotten me a couple compliments. At the same time - there might be some similar fragrances in the same price range, or better.

I like this orange fragrance! It's bright and alluring! Sweet, but not sickly sweet, even also sour. It smells delightful, only sometimes its sourness become annoying. Plum sourness, I guess. Strange, actually I love plums. But anyway it's better than sickly sweet oranges. The caramel note is also not too intensive, so it doesn't smell childish. I will buy a bigger bottle if I come to France again. In Moscow I saw it only in online shops and overpriced. Still regret about not buying a big bottle of it in Paris(

I bought this perfume more than 3 years ago in the Fragonard shop in Paris and I wear it for the first time. I do not know what got into me to wait for such a long time. The scent seemed overwhelming with a caramel scent that seemed too strong for me. Nevertheless, on me, it smells comforting, feminine, mature and chic, and I am happy that I have this in my collection. This is classy, not complicated or special; clean, floral, where after a while, jasmine, caramel and vanilla remain.

I have the 2ml parfum in this and I have to say it's delicious! Almost pure caramel, with a VERY faint wisp of vanilla, musk and patchouli. I'd like to try the EDT or the EDP to see if there are more notes present, or if it's a little less gourmand. The parfum is definitely a winter fragrance in my book. I'm wearing it on a hot spring day, and it's just a little too much ... and it's making me hungry!

Diamant is a fragrance that immediately hits with its sparkling citrus notes. A fresh, lively opening, almost effervescent. In the base, a hint of patchouli adds depth without overwhelming. It strongly resembles Coco Mademoiselle, with a similar style but at a much friendlier price. A great option for those looking for a chic and dynamic scent without breaking the bank.

Smells like a more grown up Mademoiselle nothing like Angel. Punchy citrus peppery notes which smooth down quickly to a plum patchouli scent. I personally don't care for patch but in this it works and gives the tart fruits an earthy base. Very beautiful and very strong as I have the parfum one squirt lasts the whole day. Excellent layered over an orchid lotion.

An all-year round (including warm weather) appropriate gourmand, sweetness of caramel finds citrusy balance. A Chanelesque Fragonard - similar to Coco Mademoiselle, but not trying to imitate her. Groundbreaking? No. But the quality of ingredients, as usually with Fragonard, makes it stand out. A very solid offer from this house for fans of this scent profile.

I don't understand the comparison with Coco or Coco Mademoiselle, nothing to deal with. Very strong after first spray almost agressiv, mainly sweety notes plum and caramel. You have to wait 2 hours to apreciate it. Similar to Magnetism of Escada, but Magnetism is more subtle and unisex with fresh vetiver.

Who knew I like patchouli? Looking at the notes, I'm surprised that it's a major part of Diamant. And now that you mention it, it's probably the caramel I'm loving. I've had this fragrance for years, and I only wear it at night because it's strong for me. It reminds me of France.

I love that Fragonard fragrances never smell synthetic. These are really tastefully done and you almost can’t go wrong. This one is just delightful. Fresh, clean, warm, comforting. You are not going to offend anyone wearing this but it still has a lot of character

I don't think it's heavy scent but the light scent that can be worn everyday. The smell is really like Chanel Mademoiselle, does not feel like Angel since I sniff pepper and spicy notes. It is not too bad but the dried down is quite sweet.

Fresh, musky and sweet. A little bit masculine, because of pepper. Too spicy to me. Sometimes it reminds me of Ricci Ricci (strange feeling). For young and playful women.

I can confirm this is the living baby of Coco Mademoiselle and Angel and it's quite amazing!

So I’m beginning to clock a Fragonard fingerprint, that sweet sandalwood-patchouli-vanilla trifecta with a soft vintage lean. Like the elegant powder compact you inherited from someone’s glamorous aunt. Diamant is no exception, opening not with sparkle but with something jammy and even overcast. Think candied bergamot rind, simmered citrus marmalade and silver-plated spoonful of overripe plum. Edible, not quite, pretty, yes, but a little moodier than expected. The floral heart is rose-forward, cosmetic-powdered, softly caramelised in patchouli, like a nod to Coco Mademoiselle... if she wore cufflinks. There’s bigarade oil in here I think, its aldehydic lift and subtle peel bitterness paired with something almost peppery and humid, like a cosmetic bouquet left too long in a warm room. Not unpleasant. Not exciting. And then: the warm base rolls in. Creamy sandalwood, softened patchouli, dessert-y vanilla. Nice if you catch it on someone’s scarf. A whiff in passing? Sexy. A spritz on me? Meh. All in all it doesn’t offend, but it doesn’t quite... please, either. Sweet, nostalgic, a little masculine, a little syrupy. More dulled rhinestone than diamant.

It feels like the opening freshness never quite leaves on me. I's a fresh spice perfume, if that makes sense. It's elegant and energetic at the same time - like a tailored office dress of a woman who has her whole day scheduled by 30 min intervals. Not something I am looking for at the moment.

Smells like a sparkling fizzy sweet drink, but well balanced, not overly sweet. The citrusy opening is very slight and gone within seconds, I detect the rose and plum then... the dry down reminds me vanilla root beer drink..., thus the fizzy sweet drink comment. It's ok, just not for me.

The caramel popcorn from the old Miss Dior meshed with the citrus and patchouli of Coco Mademoiselle. I like it but I don't think I would wear it, it isn't my style. Too sugary sweet for me, these sorts of scents typically give me headaches.

I think patchouli is fairly prominent in this one. Does remind me Coco Mademoiselle. Not a dupe though. It’s a pleasant perfume.

First impressions: (sample dabber) PLEASE NOTE: I got this from my mom she sent it to me, and it’s been years since she’s had this so if the notes are reformulated I wouldn’t know.Nor would I know if the notes went off/expired or not. As a coco madmoiselle HATER. I’m not mad at this perfume. To clarify it is a step up from CM. It doesn’t remind me of that perfume at all. It’s an okay patchouli perfume for me, and I’m a hater of patchouli. It’s a more of the sweet side of patchouli, and it’s very much meshed together. I think if you like patchouli give this a go, as for me I’m a bit biased to not liking patchouli. Edit 1: Yeah I just hate patchouli, and overdose of sweetness without anything calming it down makes me ill. Sorry, I’m a bit biased lol.

This one is categorized as an oriental, but on my skin it just doesn't smell that way. I do get some of the pepper at first spray, then it seems like it is a whole lot of rose, which is not my favorite. I think this one seems more like a floral than an oriental. The dry down does have a patchouli note with some slightly synthetic smelling vanilla. If you are looking for a lovely oriental perfume from this house, I would suggest Cette Nuit La Confidentiel. Diamant just doesn't seem to have anything to differentiate itself from many other perfumes that are out there.

This is the most boring combination of cinnamon and violets. Depressing like sobbing over lost youth and joyless life. No patchouli or plums, or anything that is listed in the pyramid. Old fashioned. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, may be except for a 15 old teenager who wants to look complicated and like a person who witnessed some shit in this life.

This appears to have been re-incarnated as "Mademoiselle Soleil", or at least that's what the notes say in my new 10-bottle sampler pack from the Eze shop of the Fragonard factory. Seems Fragonard has renamed all its old favourites -- can't imagine why! (Perhaps they've been reformulated?)

This actually is the only Fragonard scent that I'm not very fond of...very similar to Angel of Thierry Mugler.(chocolate,...)It doesn't have this natural note - I can't make out any flower essences etc. It smells just like a synthetic mainstream-scent, in my opinion.

Hm, strangely all I get from this one is a mature feminine vanilla musk, with the tiniest hint of orange. My skin does tend to amplify anything vanilla, but I was really hoping to see more depth from this one.

There is some component in Diamant that seems heavy, puts me off and even gives me a headache. :(
