Figuier

Sweet and sunny. Green and woody in the dry down, not too fruity or sticky. Undeniably figgy. More on the natural side of things than Beau de Province, who did his best to be all rugged and moody with mint and basilic. With fantastic performance, may I add. If you like your Philosykos, especially in edt, you will love this little thing. You won't risk much by buying it blindly. Longevity is not the greatest, although more than respectable, but for the price, you can overspray as outrageously and as often as you wish. Well done, Fragonard, once again. I'm so getting myself a bottle. Three months later...Ylang and cardamom are very present, even in the drydown. Although, I enjoy both very much and together, like in Infusion d'Ylang, I'm not sure I want so much of them with my fig. It's also muskier overall than I would like. All of if leans quite feminine, especially compared to neutral and natural Philosykos. I think I'll stick with Philosykos, although Figuier is an interesting option if you like it sweet, sunny and girly and still tasteful.

Smells like CK One. Opening is citrusy and watery dewy like on Belle De Grasse. Drydown is green and soapy. I think it is suitable for all seasons.

Figuier is niche. You are either an ultra fan of ylang-ylang or not, because this white floral note is very overpowering. The fig tree drydown is cool and interesting. Great natural experience.

What I adore about Philosykos is the way that it smells like breaking a fresh twig off a tree in the spring. This is the first time I have come across that same accord in a perfume I can afford. Thank you, Fragonard!
