Fragonard (2024)

Im a huge fan of this newer version. It’s the strange and mysterious, slightly edgy and maybe even a little gothic sister to the original. There is something so unique yet natural in this perfume. The way these scents blend together and create a seamless and chic scent that is deeply feminine and sexy without being aggressive or forward like spice notes or patchouli is so interesting. The hyacinth is kind of aquatic with a sweet green aspect like sugared violets. It’s a bit intoxicating like the relief of falling into a cool stream surrounded by white florals.

Delicious , solar fragrance with the warm sweetness of spring days, sensual and so current. I want this one. But please, Fragonard, do not be too much expensive.

Hyacinth dream. Green, dense and juicy. Absolutely intoxicating. If you like the flower, this is a must try. It's so realistic that after a while, I had a headache and slight nausea like with real flower. It took a real effort to wash it away too. Resistent stuff. Little sample smelled for weeks. Obviously, not my cup of tea, but it's beautiful.

A warm and enveloping floral that I really liked. It very pleasantly combines orange blossom, jasmine and hyacinth with cedar in the background which warms everything up with its pretty woody note. I really like Fragonard which offers beautiful creations at unbeatable prices. I'm even considering a purchase.

This a refreshingly fruity floral: the note mentioned on Fragonard’s website is also apple, which adds a fresher touch to sweetness of the opening, reminding almost a pineapple or orange candies. Quite modern and should please those perfumistas who like contemporary candy-alike fragrances.

I like the 2024 edition better than the previous one. The hyacinth and orange blossom shine.

Fragonard (2024) Overall: 7/10 Projection: 7/10 Longevity: 6/10 Sillage: 6.5/10 Comments: Oh what a backstory this perfume has. Fragonard's namesake fragrance had remained the same for a long time. It wasn't bad by any means, but it wasn't great either. I gave it a 6/10 overall in my previous review and complained that it had a middling complexity. However, Fragonard decided to revise this fragrance in 2024, and I am glad they did. I believe you should be able to redefine yourself whenever you like and if something isn't representing you anymore, let it go. Fragonard did just that and Fragonard (2024) has improved with a beautiful hyacinth top note, subtle orange blossom, delicate jasmine, and appealing cedarwood base.

As a consummate lover of florals, especially hyacinth, orange blossom and lily of the valley, I was expecting an old fashioned Springtime bouquet but instead I was greeted with a bushel of juicy apples amidst a carpet of balsamic golden leaves in Fall! No green or dewy blooms and my heart sank. But hours have passed and Fragonard 2024 has actually dried down to a surprisingly lovely fragrance that is a bit spicy, fruity and balsamic all in one!! Fragonard 2024 promised a tender dew drenched garden on a Spring morning but instead it’s a sunlit afternoon on an apple farm in Indian Summer!

this opens with fresh hyacinth and lily. after a few minutes i get a slight candy sweetness, i think it's the orange blossom. this perfume has a vintage vibe and reminds me of something from the 80s/90s, due to the hyacinth which seemed more prominent in perfumery in those decades. a dewy, sweet floral-very pretty for springtime.
