Frivole Parfum

Review for the EDP, first given 2 years ago: Delicious citrus fruity, a beautiful tangerine, a nice change from citrus colognes and aldehydic fruity/berry scents. This is almost as good as drinking tangerine juice, really, it’s very refreshing and pretty. Again Fragonard’s top quality ingredients are evident. The patchouli is smooth, the florals are excellent, the verbena is just a touch, and it’s all blended very nicely - it’s a symphony for tangerine. Becomes a powdery blend of all the ingredients, close to the skin, but lovely. Lots of wrist-sniffing. Another excellent Fragonard scent - really, I have yet to find one I don’t like!

This is a great spring and summer perfume. It's a complex perfume that starts off just a little heady but super fresh too. The dry down is really nice with warm notes of patchouli. This is a great everyday perfume, but I prefer it during the summer and for the office.

I absolutely love this, so cheerful and uplifting. the parfum is long lasting and the little metal canisters so handy for your bag. adorable!

I would say it's a unisex perfume. It was my husbands' signature perfume too. You can definitely smell the flowers but nothing like the overpowering sweet sticky flowers, but very well balanced and fresh with the citruses. My husband was suprised to hear that it's listed as women perfume, because a few years ago we went to the Perfume Museum in Paris it was marketed as unisex perfume. That's where we bought it from. I just love it everytime when he sprays it on and take a inhale deeply after him.

Citrus, floral musky scent with a touch of patch. It has an almost dewy, humid quality. Fresh, yet the slight earthiness gives this a cozy vibe. It makes me think it'd be more suited for late summer/fall than peak summer. While not listed, there's a slight anise/licorice touch. As it dries down, the patchouli continues pulling through until it is about equal with the fruity florals. I feel this is more bookworm than flirt Seems classically French without being outdated or vintage.

I was given this as a gift- risky business if you ask me. But I loved it. I tend to stick to old faithfuls because things end up soapy and pungent on me. NEVER THE LESS, I sprayed this on, knowing it was a feminine perfume and it practically whispered to me I was allowed to wear florals. The top notes are like a burst of sunshine when you open the curtains in the morning and they have a positive impact- there is a greenness about the citrus which gives it weight. The middle is warm and floral but not heady, the jasmine takes the centre stage here- but doesn't have the acridity of some other incarnates. The peony eludes me but it must be the softness that hovers in around the jasmine and LOTV. I couldn't have picked the base notes from this, the sillage isn't the longest and it ends up wispy. There is a dry/smokiness which must be the iris/musk. Patchouli is another thing I struggle to pick out like the peony- but that must just be my nose. This isn't a groundbreaking perfume, per say, but it has a grand warmth about it. It could almost be a perfume you bought in the damasked salons of Paris before the revolution. It is unapologetic in it's use of flowers and classical odours and all the better for it.
