Lavande

Beautiful little thing that doesn't smell much of lavender, it's very smooth and blue. I grew with real lavender oil in the house, my mother and sisters love it and tend to combat mites and all undesirables smells with it. It's a potent stuff that kills everything else, so the amount of lavender in this is rather symbolic. The smoothness comes from copious amount of iris, some gentiane and musk. It's lovely. That woormwod, absinthe or anise, is not overpowering and affirms overall cooling effect. At moments it reminds me of the gorgeous alabaster texture of Eau de Gentiane Blanche by Hermès, so smooth and cool. And at moments I think of Bvlgari's Eau de Thé Bleu, that I love with all that iris and violet in it. Longevity is also very good for simple eau de toilette.

Wearing Lavande is like sitting on a warm wooden terrace surrounded by lavender fields, sipping on a slightly sweetened cup of herbal tea. The lavender starts off a little sharp but mellows down to a very lovely, true to nature scent. Drydown is slightly soapy and musky, but in a comforting way. 7/10

I made an account just to share my thoughts on this. It was a blind buy for myself, based on fairly positive reviews, and it's totally not what I expected, not lavendery enough for my taste. I keep sniffing my skin to detect anything else than something sweet, in no way is this herbal or healthy on me like e.g. Vrai. I could imagine this smelling nice on girls in their 20s. A bit of a letdown, but hey, Fragonard, I still love you.

This one passed me by n now I can't find a bottle which is a shame, I really like this. I had official sample which came as a wipe. The packet says absinthe not wormwood but same difference. This would be a nice bedtime scent or palate cleanser when I didn't know what else to wear. I love gentian in anything & it's discernible here through the lavender, which despite the name isn't very strong. The iris makes it fluffily aromatic. Unisex, leans slightly feminine because it has a kind of herbal sweetness, but v subtle. Just realised what dry down reminds me of.. (not in a dupe way!) it's got something of Avon Soft Musk in it, like a better niche version. I've only smelled the old Avon with the brown cap btw, no idea what the current one is like. I'm in UK if anyone has a bottle of this n does not love it..

picked this up as a gift, a nice, bright, lavender, well blended preventing it from becoming a room spray, but the lavande is still at the forefront. more modern than the offering from les naturelles collection, which the SA tells me will be phased out and replaced by this version. can't go wrong if you're a lavender fan!

Fresh and clean lavender, not a loud woody one, more feminine or unisex with a kind of bathroom talcum feeling. Still herbal and green, kind of healthy.
