L'Aventurier

I think this is one of those scents that on the wrong person is not great - but on the right body-chemistry is really good. Got a sample of this - as well as two other scents in my last order and tried it on my fiance. Amazing - not ashamed to say I stayed within smelling distance of him all day! The silage is not too great and it does not last as long as I would like- but oh man is this a sexy scent for me. But that being said I am one of those people who is prone to headaches if the scent is overpowering - and I would rather smell my man from 3 feet away rather than 30 feet away. The Leather, Patcholi and Musk hang in there quite a while in the dry-down. Very masculine without being juvenile, loud or off-putting. 7 of 10 for me - if the silage and longevity was better I would rank it 8.5.

I just got this scent recently and have to says that I am really impressed. 200ml for 40€ puts it in the cheapy category but it is very long detectable on me after applying on skin. The scent is very pleasant and reminds me faintly of Dior Sauvage without smelling like it. It has the same massappealing vibe to it without being as piercing. If you are in Southern France and come across a Fragonard Boutique check this one out. For the money you can't really go wrong in my opinion ✌🏻

Very nice, everyday smell and a very affordable price. Opens up woody and citrusy dries down to a nice fresh, ambry slightly oakmoss smell.. I would say this is a mix of Nishane Hacivat ( vetiver, oakmoss) and LV l'immensity ( ambry aspect). Also similar to Aventus Cologne. Longevity and projection are not bad - I get 5-6h. Absolutely Worth trying.

Like you've spent a summer day kissing your lover in the grass after a beautiful picnic. Very simple yet does the trick. Loved this on my husband.

Need to spray every couple of hours. Otherwise, good value for money clone of Creed Aventus.

More citrus than pure lemon to me, because of certain sweetness. Still very traditional in a good way. Very « Fragonard »! Masculine, clean, fresh, aromatic, simple, somehow « honest », impossible to be wrong with this one. I like the way the vetiver (a tricky note for my nose, easily muddy) and the polite leather make a conventional wedding at the end. I find it grounding and reassuring, like a very dear best friend or a father figure. Having a calm, clever and marvelous big son, I will get this for his next birthday. I will obviously compliment a man wearing this, and moreover, knowing me, I will be unconsciously more attentive to him. Fragrances are finally strange things. Edit: the longevity isn’t bad, you’re just going nose blind, like after wearing anything nice, that’s the way brain works. People whose niche definition is the price they pay and the notorious sticker don’t deserve this handsome and focused parfume.

seller lady offered me this perfume at the shop. she said this is best seller of their shop. i can understand why this is best seller. because this cologne is really basic and appeals to everyone. at the top i can feel citrus notes. after that green notes appears. and when it dry you can feel powdery leather, misk and pink pepper. i liked mostly opening. bottom notes good too but a little bit powdery for me. i got compliments from my friends sillage is not bad. they liked it very much. it is suitable for daily use. simple, fresh and clean.

Mmm, lovely. Fruity lemon on a base of bright amber with a bit of soft leather and musk for depth. The patchouli and vetiver peek through. Normally I don't care for pink pepper but in this composition, together with the vetiver, citrus and patchouli, it actually reminds me a bit of aspects of Angel Muse.

A smooth forest/pine type scent, I'm so excited to use this as a cooling body spray for hot summer days. The citrus and pepper in this is not sharp at all, definitely recommend. Edit: so relaxing too, helps to wind down after a long day.

(Sampled from the moist towelette) Citrus, musk, pepper. Pretty good, if a little mall-scenty. Not objectionable, but not a "buy".

A very good scent... longevity and sillage are nonetheless really bad. You pay $30 for 100ml though.

Great smell, great value for the price, unfortunately very, very weak sillage and longevity.

I respect how sharp and bold masculine notes are composed so softly and welcoming. I hear all the notes listed and calling it "grass" is misleading. Longevity and sillage are both underwhelming, but the composition is so good, it needs an EDP or extrait version to address that.

Another Fragonard fragrance I'm not a fan of, even if I tested it at their shop before buying! I guess the scent bubble caused by staff and customers spraying perfumes all over the place has confused my nose, as there is no way I would have bought this otherwise. At least, not big damage done, as it was a cheap 20-something Euros for 100ml. So, instead of an aromatic/woody fragrance I thought I had smelled, I found myself at home with a fresh/showergel type of smell, extremely piercing and strong, where I cannot detect any smoothness that musk and amber should provide at some point; I get a very vague cheap imitation of a Sauvage-style fragrance (this is not a Sauvage clone, but does something in that style) that assaults my nostrils. It has some balsamic quality, maybe there is some mint or pine or eucalyptus somewhere. The scent is super linear and doesn't change a second from the first spray to the drydown. There is a very dry, powdery metallic note that goes through the entire life of this scent and that I cannot identify, other than saying it smells like a ten times more powerful version of some detergent (it may be the "lemon" which I think is not lemon as such but some synthetic citrus accord mimicking not a specific note, but a class of notes). On me, maybe because I'm so sensitive at some of its component, it projects like a monster, but at least longevity is not extreme (around 5 hours) and even if I don't like the scent profile, it's not offensive in that I have the urge to wash it off. I tested it on a paper strip and it smells exactly the same. The bottle, a refillable tall and slender aluminium cylinder with an average atomiser, is something different from the usual heavy glass and it's so light that it may feel half empty at first. Batch code 21.07.109, Fragonard is not on Checkfresh but for the record I bought it in September 2021. This is a light dislike for me.

The entire men's line smells like axe body sprays. My guess is that they don't take as much care as they do female scents.

How can you compare this to niche fragrances? I am appalled by this cologne, it smells like straight deodorant in a high school locker room. Nothing about it screams "good", I would rather buy a $5 Axe than 10x the price for something just as awful. Save your money! Don't purchase this synthetic crap. Rather get a Montblanc or Burberry for this price.

I received a little sample of this in the Fragonard mail out (sign up if you haven’t - you get 3 free samples every couple of months) and I’ve been racking my brains as to what it reminds me of - and it’s Dior’s Farenheit. Clearly there are some differences, it seems a little more citrusy at the start but it dries down nicely with a warmer pepper, musk and sandalwood. Really quite lovely, especially in the colder months.

A great everyday fragrance suitable for office or casual. Nice and fresh and clean. I get a creamy lemony smell that really lasts on my skin. For the price you cant go wrong. Well done Fragonard!! *Update* For the record this is my most complimented fragrance in my entire collection

I think this fragrance shines at the drydown level, as far as pleasantness. On my skin it is minty, leathery, musky, somewhat green. whatischypre described the output for me the best. I think I will buy this for the gym and car. Excellent value/quality.

I have met this scent in a first class wagon, it was probably a young man wearing a white shirt, die and suit jacket. Clean, office, sérious. not heavy and fortunately not sweet ! it is ok.

Opening a bit like Creed Aventus...its probobly that lemon note there....then turns in to Ck One sort of thing.As all the Fragonards I have tested this one do not last long on me.

Nice and clean citrusy green smell, but sadly, this is very, very weak. 10 sprays and maybe you'll feel something. I don't recommend

a greener creed aventus. longevity sucks but its 60 euros for 600mls
