Narcisse

this is a light, fresh, lovely fragrance. bitter petitgrain with a bunch of transparent fresh jasmines and a drop of fresh floral honey. i really enjoy that hint of bitterness and that drop of honey! fresh cologne like, perfect for afternoon pick me up in the office!

I think I need a bottle. Few days later... Or so I thought. Before I tried the sample. The opening is bright, citrusy and sparkling. I smell unidentfiable white flowers, sunny but faint in the cloud of white musk. And that's about it. It's lovely, but after a short while I can barely smell a thing. It doesn't makes any sense to buy a bottle based on that, but I have kept the sample towlette and the enveloppe that it came from on the corner of my desk for further sniffing. I did the same with Belle de Paris few months ago. The test on skin was a sheer dissapointment, but the used sample in itself smelled great for weeks. So I bought it anyway. And I'm glad I did, as I love iris and have several different ones, but Belle de Paris filled the breach I didn't know I had. And a new bottle will be in my next order. So, I might get myself a bottle of this too. At the point I'm at, 20 € is just a drop in the sea.

Very light, slightly citrusy and a hint of musk. I do get the essence of Narcisse but honestly, it’s too light for me to enjoy as a fragrance. I’d say it’s ideal for office or general errand wear. In terms of sillage it’s not very strong. I think it would make a perfect gift for Mother’s Day or for a maternal female in your life - I definitely get cosy motherly vibes from this. Not sure if I’d splurge on a bottle; it’s not like last years flower of the year - it’s not awful through either. Light and pleasant.

It is very very light, indeed like wearing nothing but a spring flower breeze. I'm wearing it in a really hot summer, around solid 90 degrees. I have to keep sniffing at it, I had hoped for a slightly better sillage and projection. Let's see how it performs on fall/wi ter.

This is a pretty floral with a bit of petitgrain and musk. It’s pleasant, easy to wear. This reminds me of Jardin a New York by Gloria Vanderbilt

I bought this in Eze, just before we headed down to Nietzsche ́s road. My sister insisted it smells divine on me. I loved the little bottle. But, I am not a fan of this perfume. I usualy don ́t like fresh citrusy perfumes. But, my sister told me I smell so clean and fresh wearing it. I use it now as a perfume to go to work. The bottle evokes memories of Eze, but the scent itself is not inspiring to me, it doesn ́t provoke any feelings. It is ok and nice. For me, it ́s like this neutral, clean maybe generic scent that is nice for profesional settings, or some leisure activities. I like to wear it in the spring and autmn, for summer I prefer something more sweet and juicy, and in the winter I like perfumes with more personality.

A pretty modern take on a floral scent. Not soapy - just light and very wearable.

I agree with @ jajakapitan, that this is really too light to be enjoyed. It starts out citrus and petitgrain heavy and though that lightens up somewhat it is always there overriding all the other notes. It then becomes slightly musky and that's when the daff shows up, but so light I have to smell my wrist to pick it up. This wears like a summer cologne but even much lighter than that and even much lighter than something like 4711 or other splashes to cool off. From a distance all I am getting is citrus and petitgrain. I wasn't a fan of Fragonard's Flower of the Year last year, but at least it performed much better than this.

Oh, Fragonard, you little wipes as sample, they can be heaven or hell. Heaven because you send them regularly for free (but always the same ones, so I have a stupid collection of Homme Elegant when I’m crying after your new fragrances) and hell because the scent is sooooo difficult to catch from them, especially the base notes, and of course impossible to retry. From today’s Narcisse, I get at first a strong clean burning musk, and white florals with something bitter-sweet, maybe even herbal in a soapy way, I’d say petitgrain and geranium with a honey drop. Could I find something sweeter or woodier afterwards ? Impossible to say. It’s fleeting and already gone with the wind.
