I have a friend who gifted me this, since it came in a box, looking like a book. I ́m a librarian, and she thought it would be a perfect gift for me. And It really is. Not only because I love the box, but also for the juice inside. I love a good peony-scent, and this is it. I been wearing it through the summer, and got a lot of compliments on it. I love it.

True peony scent with a touch of sweetness. Pretty and elegant. Not sure why it’s not more popular as it’s great for the price.

Fragonard is an underrated niche house in the USA. I'm a huge fan of peony as it's used in one of my fav MFK frags (Burberry Her Blossom). This is an EDT, it's perfect for tropical hot humid weather. Many designer houses churn out mass appealing generic scents which smell synthetic, often suffocating and mass appealing crowd pleasures. It's either loud in your face or from my perspective a rip off economically as there's no uniqueness or thought, 'what's going to sell' logic. The USA is huge on unisex frags which lean masculine (typically) in my experience & Fragonard understands how to create scents which are feminine. On initial spritz, which I'm an over sprayer as this is an EDT, I could smell the sweetness of the peony concoction with some bitter somewhat peppery sourness dancing with the mimosa. No pink pepper listed, but there's a hint of spice upon initial spritz. However Fragonard makes their scents, they have this unique formula which can turn EDTs into a soapy, clean, natural accord. I could smell something lingering on my arm during the dry down reminiscent of the Mon Lys lotion I purchased from Fragonard. (I wish Mon Lys was made in & sold in 600 ML) like in France but sold to Americans. The dry down is bitter sweet. If there is a silage, it's definitely not offensive and leaves me feeling relaxed & calm. I push this brand a lot in perfume groups encouraging Americans to give this under rated house a try. Many Fragonard scents smell exactly like the plants listed in the notes. This scent is a heavy like & I know will out perform designer rivals in the summer time. Well done.

It's lovely, but I can barely smell it. Flowery, soapy and slightly powdery. I might be anosmic to it, it happened before. Three years later...I tried it again and it made me sad. This is pretty much a flawless fruity floral and after about ten minutes I can't smell a thing.

Pure peony plus juicy red currant and rhubarb - how could it get any better? Light and summery. This one's a sleeper - if only it were easier to find in the US it would have possibly millions of fans!

Parfum when you are in rush, and want quickly wear something. I absolutely love peonies, so it's a win from me. Bonus: when you have strong parfum with peony notes, but do not want to overwhelm surrounding people, you can mix some drops ( sprays))) of it with this parfum, and you have wearable mixture))). Recommend for all peony lovers)). Holds about 3 hours, initially moderate projection, that fade into intimate. Love it for hot days, spring and summer.

Fresh and pleasant scent of peony, redcurrant, and rhubarb, very slightly acidic. But the longevity is catastrophic; I can barely smell it, and I had to try it several times to detect all the notes correctly. In short: not transcendent and definitely not the one I would choose from Fragonard.

Testing from a sample: Very fresh and natural peony scent that dries down to a pretty berry sweet that doesn't read sweet. Light, fresh, zingy, no powder in sight. Would like a full bottle.
