Reine des Cœurs

What a wonderful discovery !!!! I bought this perfume blindly at an offer of Fragonard, because the name, the description, the packaging attracted me. "Fruity peach and spicy pink peppercorn head notes over an enchanted orange flower, rose and ylang-ylang heart notes, this fruity oriental perfume blossoms against a backdrop of musk and benzoin: In the Heart Kingdom, feminity is queen!" says Fragonard. Just the perfume arrived I found it beautiful, sweet and kind and with a nice bottle but I'm not falling in love immediately. But love has grown slowly, silently, insidiously, and it is now a passion was born and burns me and I am completely addict! Oh! When I wear it, I would eat me! :-) A tender and feminine warm cuddle, soft and smooth sweetness, the promise of a secret gentle eroticism. This perfume makes me feel beautiful, attracts women smile, and men's eyes shine. The fragrance is much older than Fragrantica states and Fragonard unfortunately has stopped production of the pure perfume! Now it is available only EDT, which although wonderful, it is not as intense and lasting the perfume concentrate. Why Fragonard? Oh! Please give us back this little gem edition concentrated !!!

Starts off smelling like Coco Mademoiselle, but on the drydown it smells like Viktor&Rolf Bonbon with that peach-caramel vibe. A few minutes later I'm getting the musk. Mmm yummy yummy! About 30 minutes later I can smell rose. I feel like Reine des Cœurs is a cross between Coco Mademoiselle and Bonbon, and at less than half the price of either of those!

Wonderfull indeed !EDP still exist in 2015, but the EDT is great and very longlasting (1 month on a silk scarf, incredible). The combo pink pepper musk ylang is addictiv even for a man.

What a nice scent! I tried the parfum version in a golden tin, so it's the strongest form. I still smell it on my arm after several hours. At the beginning it was intense and smelled like rose to me, mostly rose with a sharp spice, yet fresh. The SA told me it contains orange blossom and ylang ylang, which is true, but didn't mention the rose. I was not convinced. For me it vaguely smells like the rose-dripping Baroque that it's now discontinued together with other ones (why???), so it's mainly rose with pink pepper and benzoin. Luscious and feminine, but it needs a few hours on skin to fully develop it's lovely blend, maybe because it is parfum strength. It exists in EdP and EdT as well. This is not a complicated perfume, but it smells nice and cosy with a romantic touch. I see a vague resemblance with CK Reveal, but it's very far like an echo and Reveal doesn't work on me. I also smell a bit of old Realm for women, maybe the white flowers. There is a sweet note in the drydown that I think it's the sweet edge of benzoin. Very longlasting in Parfum, maybe not too projecting.

I have both EDT and EDP. It's an elegant, feminine scent, suitable for work and daytime, pleasant to wear. Yes, there is some similarity to La vie est belle, but Reine des Coeurs is a much better fragrance, with higher quality of ingredients - while LVEB is disliked by many due to the synthetic sweetness, Fragonard's Reine des Couers remains classy, more "quiet". Not cloying. Very good for spring and colder weather, I haven't tried it in summer, yet. Edit: Now as I own Coco Mademoiselle, I also see definite similarity here. I agree with previous reviewers!

I don't smell Coco Mademoiselle, Angel nor Flowerbomb, just La vie est belle - only better! It's peach and flowers, a hint of vanilla, benzoin base and no praline, which is actually great. It can be cloying during hotter days, but when temperature drops to 15 Celsius degrees, it literally blooms. I'm happy to have it, though 200 ml is a lot and I will eventually get bored.

I expected to dislike it for being too sweet and fruity, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Yes, it's sweet, yes, it's fruity floral light scent... but instead of choking you as they tend to, it make you want to smell it again and again! Even the peach in it smell elegant rather than juvenile!

A perfect deadringer for Lancôme La Vie est Belle, only not so heavy on the sweet/ sugary side, thus way more wearable and enjoyable to my taste! Longevity and projection are also very good. Another thumbs Up for Fragonard !

It is sweet and powdery where I can't distinguish any specific note. Not bad at all, just not something I would wear. Nice type of sweetness.

So ylang-ylang usually steamrolls my nose, smelling to me like soapy banana oil evaporated to dryness. Thankfully, THANKFULLY, it shows restraint. A mere dab, more green-tinged and... something like a custard that's been sat out. Let the bowl sit out for a while longer and you suddenly feel a shimmer of bergamot fizzing off juicy rose-nectarine nectar. Rose de mai maybe, or Turkish, not jammy, but petal-bright and sunny. Like someone decided to resuscitate the stale dish with fresh pulp and peel, a yellow-orange blur that feels like late summer dripping off a warm countertop. It’s friendly. A+ for effort. But I just get this feeling the aid doesn’t quite know where to go. In a while, the paramedics disperse: citrusy glow dims, florals start folding into soft vintage softener. Musk, off-white and faintly powdery, moves in like a default warm-tone setting. Background. The kind of parfum of last decade's that might linger on a bedsheet you neglected at the bottom of your laundry basket. Somewhat gives off a cozy ambrettolide feel, but they don’t hold. It's not personal, but that's subjective, yet for me everything really thins into air, pleasant but porous. A wallpaper of sweetness and light. Hmm. Honestly! Just glad I survived the ylang.

I don’t mind that this is sweet, but it’s a bit too powdery for my tastes. Also, I’m definitely getting plum, dark fruits, not peach at all. My nose is thinking there is patchouli in this also but it’s not listed so I’m not sure where I’m getting that from. I tried this as part of their discovery set. The set has 4ml samples and is truly lovely. If you enjoy fresh natural scents, I recommend it.

It’s sweet rose benzoin musk. Maybe the sweetness comes from peach but can’t really detect peach much. Kinda reminds me of Zara’s Fashionably London, but Fragonard’s is better.

La Vie Est Belle dupe. Instantly recognizable as such even from the nozzle. This one is more wearable and bearable than the source of its inspiration, probably because it has neither patchouli nor praline, the two main offenders in the latter fragrance. as far as I'm concerned. Still, I don't really find this scent agreeable. It's just too reminiscent of LVEB for me to tolerate.

it legit smells like grandma I'm sorry😭when I was at the store in france it smelled alright and I had high expectations but it turned out terrible

I mostly get caramel, with some fruits. I agree that it is reminiscent of Angel. Very sweet, somewhat heavy. Fancy dessert vibes.

I truly enjoy all the individual notes but this combination doesn't work for me. That's weird! Many reviews compare this perfume to Lancôme La Vie Est Belle which isn't up my alley too. I can imagine other people liking it. It's not a bad scent at all!

I really disliked this. It is sweet, and floral and musky, and I thought it had patchouli (but maybe not?). But it is IMO too much, too sweet, too musky.

Reine des Cœurs opens with a clean, sweet peach which is balanced by some light pepper. That's a nice contrast and rather than a bomb of sweet, Reine des Cœurs has some spice to keep it from being overwhelming. The dry down is still sweet with deep resin and light musk. It's as if Fragonard made this one just for me by removing the notes that I thought were too big in other, very popular and beloved, sweet fragrances. Reine des Cœurs is definitely a sweet fragrance, but thankfully it completely avoids the cloying praline note that I dislike in La Vie Est Belle. It also steers clear of the patchouli bomb that is so popular in Coco Mademoiselle and Angel. Fragonard lists this as an EdT, but it's big and long-lasting. If this was listed as a parfum it would not disappoint. It's very full and concentrated.

Reine des coeurs kinda reminds me of la vie est belle but lighter and less cloying and sweet.I get the peach pepper mixed flowers the rose is more dominant in the dry down with the white musk.It’s very wearable and can be worn at work going out for lunch etc I would wear la vie est belle for evening or winter time.Anyways I really like this and the more I wear it I’m getting abit of viktor and Rolf Bonbon vibes to Excellent quality so well blended and lasts ages on my skin
