Rose Lavande

So good. And so unexpected. From the simple name, I didn't expect much. The opening is glorious peony than rose joins in. There is pear in notes, but sometimes it smells to me more like lychee. Well, it's certainly fruity and that makes rose shine even more. It's beautifully layered and the texture is decadent. Creamy and luscious. Opulent. I would buy body cream of this in the heartbeat, it's intoxicating. Just right amount of lavender makes rose, who is the star of this fragrance, even more interesting. That touch of lavender is dry and aromatic, almost peppery. The violet leaf brings this lovely airiness and transparency, otherwise the composition might have been a bit thick and potentially grandmotherly. It's so simple, witty and extremely well done. I tried edp on those wet little tissus that don't even bother me anymore, they are more cost effective than sample vials, I suppose. And now they are even doing it in perfume concentration. I can't help myself, I love what they do; honest, accessible perfumes with high quality ingredients. Of course, I want a bottle! Few months later... I just received my bottle and this stuff is even better than I remember. Sometimes, over time, we tend to embellish things we liked and I'am so happy that was not the case. There is also great number of perfumes that behave very differently in different temperature, humidity, etc. But this one is just as gorgeous in winter as in summer. I also ordered hand cream, the only body care available. If you have normal skin, you will be perfectly happy with it but for my demanding skin it's too thin. It still smells fabulous. Rose Lavande is one of the best and unique rose interpretations I have ever encountered.

Rose Lavande Parfum (gold bottle) enchanted me and took me by surprise. My first experience with it was a sample towelette that came in the mail with the Fragonard catalogue. I love anything rose, but I initially ignored this one because of the lavender presence. While I love lavender oil at bedtime for its calming effects, I do find it a bit medicinal and camphorous at times. So, I swabbed my chest down with the sample right before bed, giving myself something to smell as I drifted off to sleep and I was enveloped by the most beautiful warm, woodsy, creamy rose edged with lavender. I could smell the slightly camphorous quality to it, but it was subtle and didn't interfere with the sweetness of the perfume. I wanted more! The next day, I ordered the gold aluminum Rose Lavande perfume. My slight obsession started with this being a calming perfume to wear around my home or at bedtime, but the more I wore it, the more it grew on me. Soon after, I kept wearing it and appreciating more facets of it: the sophisticated sillage that it radiated at arm's length and the endurance of it. With this being winter, I wear a wool scarf a lot and Rose Lavande has thoroughly permeated it, still fragrant days later. This is a very natural perfume with a lot of real flower essences. It's a very realistic rose and lavender perfume and an easy one to love, if you're a fan of classic florals, especially French ones. Not even a month later, and I'm a third of way through my first 60mL bottle. Rose Lavande is such an amazing and underrated beauty.

I have the 60 mL gold aluminum bottle of this and must say it is gorgeous. Stunningly pretty and simple and clean and feminine. The rose and lavender accords with a bit of tonka creamy sweetness are perfectly balanced. I also have Delina and do not find it to be similar. Rose Lavande is softer, rounder, and less punchy. I find Rose Lavande to be perfect in warm weather and also at bedtime. It is not the easiest to find in the US, so I blind bought this and Jasmin Perle de The from Fragonard. Neither are complicated or challenging, but they are clearly well made and perfect for spring and summer. I also love how easy they are to throw in my bag or luggage. I definitely appreciate the sustainable packaging and wish that Middle Eastern perfume houses would take a lesson from the Fragonard playbook in this regard. Both Rose Lavande and Jasmin Perle de The exceeded my expectations and make me want to explore more from this house.

I have a pure perfume version in the golden aluminum bottle. It's such a pure, pleasant, feel-good perfume. If the fragrance was a perfume, it would be a kind, smiling, caring young woman, who gives you flowers from her wild garden. It evokes a meadow, afternoon sun, free time, spring or summer time - but it can be worn at any season, at any time. It's very well blended. It is just enough lavender to make justice to the perfume's name, but not too much. By the way, it is a great offer from Fragonard - perfumes in aluminum bottles, from 15 to 120ml, in perfume! concentration. My 30ml bottle is small, weighs almost nothing, is very practical for travel. A perfume in aluminum bottles can be stored for ages, it does not expire.

Absolutely gorgeous. An amazing rose-peony-lavender scent, which gets a bit sweeter and deeper as it dries down (due to tonka). Rose Lavande is very unique - I'm a rose lover and have tried a ton of roses, but I haven't smelled anything like this. I'm normally not a massive lavender fan (such as in Mon Guerlain or Libre), but this doesn't smell close to those. I love the lavender here, it adds uniqueness and freshness. Performance-wise, it's beast mode. 2 sprays are enough for it to project for hours. I can't believe the quality of this scent for the very affordable price tag. Fragonard, in general, is a tremendous brand that produces high-quality perfumes and doesn't charge crazy prices like some other niche brands.

Last Spring my husband and I were staying in Nice and visited the Fragonard Perfume Factory in Eze. What a place! I picked up a 5-pack set of 30ml fragrances (my picks): Rose Lavande, Belle de Nuit, Fragonard, Melodie (do not like) and Juste et Baiser (for my husband). While I love Belle de Nuit and Fragonard, I LOVE Rose Lavande. I think it's the perfect blend/great balance of fresh countryside rose and lavender. If I could only get one Fragonard perfume, it would be Rose Lavande. (But I get mailings from Fragonard from time to time and little sample towelettes come with it. Several months ago, I got a towelette of their 2026 L'air de Grasse, and now I desperately want a bottle. Hopefully soon!)

Just picked this baby up in Nice while on vacation and oh my...this slice of heaven keeps getting better and better. I sure wish it had the same "heaviness" and sillage everyone here is talking about. It disappears from my skin within a couple of hours but somehow lingers on my sleeve..hm. I also confess the bottle is nothing to get excited about. It hardly matters. This spicy-sweet brushstroke is in an entirely different league than what you are expecting. You thought you knew what Rose-Lavande would be? Ha. This unassuming creation has the resonance of a 500 year old violin. Although the notes are simple, they are played with sweet, sweet perfection.

I came to know about Fragonard only a few months back when I started researching perfume workshops in Paris and Grasse for my upcoming trip to France. When I went to the perfume museum in Paris, this was one of the fragrances they let us test and I instantly fell in love! The combination of rose, lavender and tonka makes it so addictive: beautiful, feminine and sweet (but not too sweet). The violet adds a touch of elegance to the fragrance while the pear keeps the fragrance kind of juicy. I have the perfume version and the longevity (7+ hrs) and projection is amazing.

I have the pictured version in the clear bottle. This is one of my top three perfumes ever. A perfectly balanced rosey lavender, but there is something super unique to it that I can’t quite put my finger on. It’s something soft and sweet but still a bit spicy? Maybe it’s the tonka? Either way it’s like catnip to me. I don’t think this has anything in common with Delina. If anyone has smelled both the clear glass bottle version and the gold bottle version, I’d love to know how different they are! Please send me a message!

My friend surprised me with a bottle for my birthday, so perhaps I'm just a little bit biased by my love for them, but this is a darling fragrance! The rose and lavender avoid that cloying, excessively floral factor by tempering nicely against the sweetness of the pear and the tonka bean. There's a soapiness to the scent that detracts from the effortless, authentic 'just-walked-through-a-rose-bush' style of perfume, but as someone who is feral about clean, soapy scents, this is incredibly addictive. Lowkey one of the best things I’ve ever smelled. Deep, inviting, seductive floral that you just effortlessly fall into. I already liked the opening but the tonka dry down is absolutely stunning, sensual, and made me addicted to smelling my wrists over and over again in public haha. Didn’t have room in my carry-on bag to bring a bottle home when I first smelled it in their Nice shop, but I will be buying a bottle online because I fear I will never stop longing for this scent again otherwise.

I did two sprays of this on the back of my hand at a store, and my first thought was, oh, another pleasant light rosey-pear fragrance. I expected it to almost immediately disappear like most fresh/fruity rose scents. Was I ever wrong! The lavender and rose blend beautifully and actually last! The best part is that unexpectedly, a honey note appears in the drydown. I had to buy it... I love this fragrance so much!

I have already reviewed this below, I just wanted to add a note about the matching soap. One soap (retails around US$10 here in Australia) is enough to perfume an entire double sized linen cupboard ...it’s nuclear power mode, so if you like this fragrance and have any area in your house that needs deodorising....this is the bomb. Works well in the car too, but you have to like the fragrance!

Fell in love with it from the first spray. It’s so simple yet so sophisticated. I can wear it during the day but also for a night out. It’s this nonchalant bouquet of rose and lavender with a discrete yet noticeable tonka beans - beautiful tonka beans I must say, some leaves and pears. Absolutely stunning, my favorite over the past few weeks.

I received as a Christmas gift. It initially smells just like Delina (which I love) but turns into something more masculine and woody after sometime. The dry down reminds me of the bath products I used at a Western cabin I stayed at on a ranch in Utah. I love it and the gold metallic bottle is lovely and very convenient for travel.

Gorgeous, it’s definitely on the heavy side with monster sillage. I would be careful when applying this especially if you’re wearing in an office environment, because it is overpowering. A lovely spicy rose attar meets Jicky.

Warm, comforting, delicious fragrance. Wonderful coctail of rose and lavender. Well done fragonard. Nice staying power. It's not overpowering, but slightly on the heavier side, I love fragrances like this.

This is wonderful. Like a comforting and gentle embrace. A walk by a lavender field in a late August afternoon with old books in your hands. It's a whole experience, not just a scent.

For me this is the perfect floral sweet combination, it is so well done and blend, absolute perfection, lasting good sweet floral rose dry so quick to something woody.

Yes this one in the gold aluminum bottle version is parfum and it does last and project a whole day. It is beautiful. I bought it at their Aix-en Provence boutique.

This is very pretty and a lovely take on rose. I just love Fragonard for the simplistic quality and unique but very wearable fragrances. Opens ups sparkling and quite strong, and quite sweet. The lavender is beautiful! But settles in quickly to a moderately projecting fragrance which is an interesting comparison to other reviews saying this is beastly. It lasts relatively well but I do love to re-spritz during the day because it is a lovely pick me up. I usually prefer my roses to be either green or deeper and oud-y. Very “pretty” and quite sweet.

Sweet tonka and juicy pear floating on a breath of rose - is what I get from the opening. The rose then becomes more apparent and it's paired with the softest lavender. The violet leaf lifts everything up, lends the fragrance a dewy freshness which is a good counter to the sweetness. A pretty, bright and lighthearted scent. Sweeter than Jasmin Perle de Thé, which I tested on the same day. I'd recommend spraying lightly, because I think something in this fragrance might become bothersome after a while, if I overdo it.

I recently got my bottle and I must say I'm not disappointed.. It's rose and lavender with the slightest hint of pear and peony - literally barely there, but does make a difference. I sprayed once at 12 am and I could still clearly smell it at 8 pm - that's QUALITY in my book,especially cos recently not one perfume would last on my skin. This could make a lovely spring-summer scent for rose lovers who are a bit bored with the usual commonplace rose. The lavender gives it an interesting twist.

Earthy woody rose with a great personnality — in a lighter way, it makes me think of Édouard Fléchier’s Rose Tonnerre / Une Rose for Frédéric Malle. It’s not as powerful and complex as Une Rose, but it’s really cheaper too. I think it could be worn as an everyday soft ‘Une Rose’ (which I also own and I really adore). Excellent quality, reasonable price, exquisite smell : I do recommend !

Smells like something from Jo Malone. I was sceptical from the lavender in the name of the perfume but boy was i wrong. It's a lovely well rounded perfume with dominant peony and rose. The lavender just adds a velvety background to the rose. Could wear this all day every day.

Nothing like Delina. It is an almost green relaxing sweet rose scent with prominent lavender. Quite soapy and clean, but reminiscent of spring in the South of France.

Wzbudza we mnie mieszane uczucia. Z jednej strony zapach jest ładny, róża i lawenda są bardzo intensywne na początku wręcz chamskie. Z czasem robią się bardziej łagodne. Ten zapach ma w sobie coś z pomieszania. Cała kompozycja kojarzy mi się z czymś zakręconym i intensywnym jest niespójna ale zapach ładny. Na pewno nie jest to elegancka wersja róży. Myślę że perfum będzie pasował do zakręconej, energicznej osoby która lubi różę w wersji bardziej intensywnej.

Just rose, just lavender. Little bit fresh, little bit watery. Really reminds discontinued Couture! by Moschino, but as I remember Moschino was more complex and airy. Just ok... I’m pass

This smells like a less soapy version of Mon Guerlain Sparkling Bouquet to me, but instead of the Guerlain rose (well it’s peony in SB but comes across as rosy to my nose!), it’s the rose from Delina. I simply cannot get along with Delina (I find it synthetic and sickly personally) so I’ll be passing this one on, but I think for those who like Delina and want a more affordable version of Sparkling Bouquet i.e, a sweet lavender, pink flowers and pear perfume, Rose Lavande would be a great option!

I tested the EDP version in the golden bottles, not this one, but I can't find it on Fragrantica's page. Very potent and very similar to Delina. That category of perfumes even if there could be small differences, they are still very similar, especially, as it dries down. Very juicy, humid, like litchi infused rose+peony. And some tonka sweetness. What rhubarb does to Delina, lavender does to Rose Lavande.

This smell is very, very nice, but it's also EXTREMELY HEAVY! I put off just about everybody with this perfume. I wish it was lighter and didn't last as long (3 days on me). The problem is, if you spray it even once on your hair, it's everywhere, anywhere you go. Ugh!

I have to agree with review below. I really loved the opening at first but after a couple of hours wearing it, the scent became too shrill and bothersome. So, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh You need to calm down You're being too loud, just need to calm down 🎵

PS Have to give it up now, a year later: it started giving me headaches, and my boyfriend was just sick the only time I wore it. He said I smelled like I applied a whole can of deo on me. Really, if only it was just less 'in-your-face.' :-(

I think to my nose, this leans more male. I think it may be the Violet and lavender notes that give me a harsher and grassy sensation. I love lavender in nature though. It is well crafted but just not for me.

Another cute one from Fragonard! I tried this one on rather adverse circumstances for any perfume, midday in Athens with 31 degrees Celsius. It lasted for 4 hours, with moderate to soft sillage. On my skin, it smells like lavender with something sweet, honey-like. It reminded me a lot of Le Petit Marseillais Miel de Lavande shower cream so, if you like it you'll like this one too! I'd say it's a unisex fragrance that gives off a very tidy, proper vibe. Absolutely safe for professional, indoor situations. If you are looking for a soft lavender à la Mon Guerlain for about half the price, I think you should take a sniff and see how it works out for you, especially if you live somewhere with a cooler and humid climate.

I’m such a sucker for rose fragrances and this is no exception I get the fruit at the top but it doesn’t smell like pear to me it smells of something else which I can’t place it’s nice though,very light and juicy. The peony rose and lavender are beautifully blended the lavender isn’t loud but adds an aromatic element to it . I also get a light spicy nutty vanilla which I assume is from the Tonka bean.All in all I really like this perfume its a wee hidden gem.I’m looking forward to exploring more from Fragonard

i ran out of the aluminum mini bottle after 3 years bc i got SO addicted to wearing it in the winter. it smells like a bundle of huuge fresh pink roses and the dry cold of our januaries here made me crave it more than anything. Theres also a bit of spice to it that reminds me of this mediterranean grocery store that a friend and i frequented for a while after the new year. So comforting. i miss it everyday and ill probably get real reflective the next time i smell it

I was given a sample so had to try it, even though rose generally gives me a headache (I wish it weren't so!!) The rose is very headstrong at first and has what I would call an airy quality. It remains strong while an aromatic, grounding lavender joins in quickly to temper it. I love the Fragonard lavender note, it's very soothing. If you love rose fragrances, you will love this one. Very feminine. And you can't beat the price point!

Lovely rose scent..Sillage and Projection is excellent..could smell it the next morning on my skin. Another affordable quality fragrance from Fragonard.

Is there Anybody that has tested both this version and the one in the aluminium bottle, who can tell me if they smell different?

It has a very unpleasant pungent opening, only the dry down smells nice I am very disappointed
