Brume Du Matin

I understand why some people say there's “nothing special” about Brume du Matin, but I respectfully disagree. The beauty of this fragrance lies in its creation, not in loud statements or groundbreaking complexity, but in how effortlessly it captures something soft, uplifting, and clear. At first spray, it reminds me a little of Bright Crystal; fresh, pink, dewy, but BdM quickly takes its own path. It feels like a breath of fresh air on a spring morning: light, sweet, and gently optimistic. I’ve had this in my collection for a while now, and it remains one of my go-to choices for spring and summer. There’s something about its ease and wearability that just works. Fragrance du Bois tends to lean into the opulence of ouds, spicy florals, and rich, textured blends. But BdM is different. It’s like a soft-spoken whisper in a room full of declarations. This is the kind of perfume that earns its place in a collection because of how often you actually wear it. Some of my darker, more complex scents might be more “impressive,” but they sit on the shelf for months. Brume du Matin? I’m making dents. Big ones. And that says something. It may not be the most layered or mysterious fragrance, but not every scent has to be. Sometimes, you don’t need complexity. Sometimes, you just want clarity. A moment of joy. A little sunshine. And that’s exactly what this delivers.

This is an early spring morning in Paris captured in a scent. Oh my god lovely! It's smells like air ...like florals with fresh air... It's clean... it's made for morning person types like I am. Nothing crazy or special but give it a try if you love clean scents like Hermes kind of perfumes. I loved it personally. Wearable day time fragrance For all ages Unisex European style

Beautiful spring/summer frag. No performance issue.

This is good, but nothing special and definitely overpriced. It has a strangely juvenile designer opening that is deepened by a beautiful green undertone. It is juicy and sweet, with prominent citruses at the top, and dries down into a sharp floral. While some might find this floral crisp (it does give the slightly metallic impression of fresh air), I find that the sharpness is almost piercing, and makes the fragrance seem a tad aloof. As I was testing this, it reminded me of how I would imagine the fragrances of the 2000s socialites like Paris Hilton - a beautiful floral that embodies femininity, but lacks any warmth or care for those around her. If that's what you're looking for, I think you can find something very similar for much, much cheaper.

It’s pretty. But not 300€ pretty. The drydown remids me so much of now discotninued Rose Imaginaire by Roger & Gallet, which I miss very much, and it stays on both my skin just about that long. Now R&G was about 45€ and I would only wear it at work when I wanted to smell clean and put together. This would make a great hair/body mist, and that I would buy. Update: After finishing my sample, joke’s on me, I decided to buy a full bottle. Ouch 😆

This is a light floral peony-orange scent with a clear musk base. A French perfumery with classic schooling, such as Lancome Maison or Dior Privee lines would come up with. I like it, and it is a very inoffensive, feminite scent. I agree that FdB are associated in my mind as ”house of oud”, and this line is smth outside. Nevertheless, the bottle is stunning and you pay ”for the package”. I can recommend it to those who love light scents.

I'm renowned for being an optimist when it comes to fragrance reviews, believe it or not. I'm not this sour, surly, being, I'm positive, human, I love. However, I'm wearing Brume de Matin today and I'm thoroughly bored by it! So it's not a bad fragrance, and from what I've tried FdB they don't seem to have a 'bad' fragrance in their repertoire, despite me really not liking the pricing, strategy of giving bottles to moronic influencers, what else? ....Oh the gaudy obsession with 'Luxury' just ain't my bag as a customer, I'm just being real and while the blending is incredibly smooth and appealing nothing really moves my soul, or motivates me in any way whatsoever!!! It's also too smooth and dare I say it.... a bit bland, considering real Oud oils and sustainably grown (inoculated whatever) Oud (which I think is great BTW) is a big part of their schtick!!! You'd think they might be a bit bolder and brasher! I think this is why some folks have really gone against this brand. Anyway....I felt I have to frame each one of their fragrances in context before I actually talk about it. Brume de matin is a pleasant and a slightly superior crafted, kind of white musk, floral, muguet, bouquet. There's nothing wrong here, I like a soft, fresh, floral musk, but it's just a bit...well... cheesy perhaps? It's certainly not doing anything new or compelling me for the price.

Very nice spring-like airy floral scent. Soft sillage, but on me it lasts long. I can't separate the notes, but I can say, on my skin the sweet florals are dominant. It's not unique, totally inoffensive, and totally forgetable... for this kind of price, it's just not enough for me.

The first Fragrance De Bois that I’ve tested where I am underwhelmed. Clearly the house of Oud, making a perfume with no Oud is not their forte. Here we have some pleasant light florals. Nothing more, nothing complex and certainly nothing to justify the high retail price tag of $245 per 50 ml. This is light weight and disappeared in less than 2 hours.

An utter disappointment! You can get exaktly this scentprofile for WAY cheaper! Preformance is also lackluster for such an expensive fragrance.

I bought the entire natures range samples and to my nose It's least memorable from the house. Low projection, soft sillage, so-so longevity. For this price range very weak offering. Slightly floral, eenie-meenie fruity. Nothing much to say really....

The scent profile is exactly what you see in the notes. It starts very fresh and citrusy. Floral notes arrive after a few minutes and the base is musky woody and slightly sweet. Rose and jasmine are more dominant than other floral notes, giving it a light, fresh, and kind character. This fragrance is not offensive, it's a safe option for the office. It's one of those fragrances that acts like background music, but on your clothes to have a touch of pleasant scent around you. There is nothing original, unique, or creative. 6.5/10

Where is the mineral water note! I kind of detect a tiny bit of metallic note on a first spray (top note), and i believe it's the mineral water mixed with the violets. This is at max a peony orange blend with violets, sandalwood, and cedar. I can't detect roses, plums, peach, amber, or lime at least till now (15 minutes in). the colder it goes the muskier, and woodier it become with doses of mineral water, and peony. It's a fair light blend.

Clean girl, out of the shower type of smell for the luxurious girlies. Don't see how this smells like Versace crystal other than both have peonies because Versace smells more heavy and less clean. The same with miss Dior. It is super crisp, clean and light. Kind of like Byredo type of perfume. I wish I could smell more the peach but it is extremely elegant

Suitable for a day in office, a polo match, lunch with friends...Just a quality airy and light perfume. Really pleasant not very memorable. Safe. Opening is a little citrusy, aldehydic, rose is prominent; dry down much more magical to me with plum and musk and amber, yum. It is a 7/10 from me but the price for a scent like this is a bit steep.

Smell fresh, aquatic, floral, unisex for the top that you probably like it if you are Asian living in Malaysia Singapore Taiwan etc. Ending like citrus designer perfume. Should say weak Allure Homme Sport. Weak sillage and does not last long on my skin. This is one of their perfumes from the house of oud with no oud.

Incredible pairing with Bamboo Harmony, similar opening led to now sampling back to back. As bringing out the non similarities, floral's pretty classic, but then the present second layer of added gentleness is pretty neat. It's a feminine, it's a humble, not extravagant, recognize the quality.

As Shakespeare said, "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet". This is quite wonderful, a clean, expensive out of the shower scent. It is also a shameless carbon copy of the Miss Dior Cherie line. Very nice, though.
