Cannabis Blue

I have tried over 14 cannabis based perfumes and aside from 1920 Bois Cannabis this one is up their in smelling like the actual cannabis flower with some nice woody and citrus notes. The opening hits you with this amazing smokey and juicy citrus that starts to blend with the pungent cannabis smell, not the smell you get when smoking it or that skunk smell you get after smoking, rather the actual bud itself. Here's where this perfumes shines because the cannabis note is not just playing in the background to compliment the other accords, instead it is the complete opposite; the rest of the notes in the perfume are complimenting the cannabis accord. For around 3-4 hours I get the straight up "smokey citrus" cannabis smell with a lingering woody/herbal note in the background that starts to creep up. Imagine being in a humid forest and opening up a jar of some weed, that is the exact image I get every-time I spray it on. As it dries down, you definitely start to notice that the cannabis accord fading and the woody notes start to overshadow it while still maintaining the slightest bit of that citrus note. It really is an experience that deserves to be tried out by any cannabis enjoyer. I used to smoke over 3 years ago and haven't since but I always loved the smell of the actual bud and this perfume pretty much got that scent to a T. Overall, price aside this is a really amazing and unique scent, don't let the comments or ratings stray you from sampling this perfume. Most of the people just sampled it from dabbers and the performance and scent can be greatly altered compared to spraying from the actual bottle; For all we know decanters could just water down the juice when decanting or overexposing the juice to oxygen when decanting the samples.

I love green fragrances and I love this one. After the initial citrus wears off more greeniness goes through that reminds me of cannabis leaves or even leaves or stems of other plants. It stays fresh and foresty because of the eucalyptus. Then it gets more woody and herbal like a tea. For every green frag head it would be a great addition to their arsenal if budget allows. I've smoked some pot in my life so let me tell you something: don't expect a real bud smell from this one, this is a fragrance that's about cannabis rather than cannabis itself if that makes sense.

A delightfully interesting herbal fougere that reminds me of Dusita’s ‘Le Sillage Blanc’ crossed with Amouage’s ‘Sunshine Man’. But I think I prefer this to Dusita’s unintentional take on cannabis. The cedar is completely delicious here and keeps luring me back for more sniffs. There’s a cleansing grapefruit accord that keeps everything so light and uplifted. Don’t think it’s all about the weed, it’s actually all about the woods, whilst the weed hides behind the protective patchouli. I’ve gone from ok - like -love.

A fantastic prickly cannabis scent! This has a pretty good marijuana accord in the opening. Easily in the top 3 (with Smoke for the Soul), and it makes Kinski look amateur. The authentic marijuana note appears immediately upon application, but fades away as the dry-down progresses. History repeats itself, and I have yet to find THE marijuana fragrance. I'll tell you though, this one was damn close, and even if it were perfect, it's just WAY too pricey.

Perfume with a "wow" effect, tried Cannabis Blue and honestly, it’s as authentic and natural as a scent can get. I have Overdose by Scentologia in my collection and have reviewed it too, while that’s good this feels on another level. No synthetic edge, just a smooth, true to nature vibe that makes it stand out. It was an instant purchase for me.

Blind bought it coz i wanted a real Cannabis fragrance and boy this is super strong cannabis fragrance, Incredibly fresh green unique artistic work of Christian Provenzano reason of the blind buy but is not delicious this is art and is worth it if u want a real cannabis fragrance for the collection.

Incredible composition with a rather unique and sophisticated feel. This is one for the connoisseur. Several compliments with one lady stopping me in Starbucks. Well done to Mr Provenzano and Fragrance Du Bois. Magnificent!

A brighter and lighter Smoke for the Soul. After 10hrs I can still lightly smell it off the sprayed spot on my clothing.

First things first - the cannabis note on opening is spot-on, probably the best I've encountered. It smells like real, fresh cannabis plants (a strain with some grapefruit and black pepper notes in particular), but it's also aestheticized, rendered highly attractive and perfumey, not just a smear of weed resin on your skin. After an hour, the cannabis is gone, and now we're focused on Iso E Super plus those grapefruit and pepper notes. This feels a lot like a Comme des Garçons DNA, and actually it's pretty close to their Ganja scent at this stage (i.e. Cannabis Blue on dry-down smells like Ganja when first sprayed, if that makes sense). I'm also reminded of the Boy Smells kush scents and some 19-69s (Rainbow Bar and Chronic in particular). However none of those nail the weed like this one when first sprayed (if that really matters to you lol). Which leaves the question of value. I'm trying a sampler set from the brand and I admittedly went in with low expectations in that department. But this isn't too bad - pricing is in Amouage range, and while I don't think it quite reaches those heights, I'd keep it in the back of my mind to watch out for a good deal.

I only dared to spray this on one finger. But it's gorgeous!! Super nice fresh realistic grapefruit and subtle minty eucalyptus - this lasts surprisingly long. I was expecting a cannabis stink-out, but it's definitely not that for me. The cannabis is subtle - you want a bomb ass joint perfume try coze or kinski. To me this is more fruity citrus tart with a green cannabis leaf heartbeat - does show itself more on the dry but more in the green soft kind of way. The citus and minty fresh lasts the longest and I'm impressed as these are not notes that usually last but I guess at this price it's only fair! Meh. Totally underwhelmed with this one. I got more herbal/cannabis in the opening with a touch of wood notes. From there, it remains fairly linear and doesn't really expand much in terms of letting out more of the notes that it contains. Longevity is ok but not for the price point- for a niche fragrance at such a high price point I would expect better. sillage is nonexistent- granted I'm only using a sample but I'm pretty heavy handed with how I apply anything and this doesn't travel at all.

Opens with a brisk and spicy mix of wild eucalyptus and bitter grapefruit. Sweet patchouli builds while complex wood and spicy peppercorn blends into a smokey, mossy experience. Ideal for an edgy tough guy with motorcycles, leather, cigars. Curiously different with impressive projection/duration. Settles into a sweet musk with a faint spice backbone. This is especially good, just not my style.

way better than cannabis extract. it’s a very sour cannabis with strong woody background. A fresher version of room 1015 sweet leaf, but a bit more chemical, someone could even say it’s almost like a lemon toilet cleaner, but i like it

This smell was a bit puzzling until I remembered Karak tea. It is not wearable for any occasion that I can think of.

Cannabis? Maybe. What this fragrance really ought to be called is “Cannabis d’Hermes”. After the initial weed bloom which lasts around 25 mins, this transforms into a beautifully dry, earthy scent. It is quite clearly a hug quality Terrre d’Hermes. Try it on your skin to believe me. The suspicious mind challenges whether any of the reviews below have ever actually experienced this scent on the skin. If they’d done so, we would see a concurrence of fact. That fact is that this scent is higher quality TdH. Does it have its merits? Yes. Does it merit buying it? In my opinion, no. I bought this on a whim after my Christmas bonus arrived. Do I regret it? No, because it’s beautiful. Will I buy it again? No. TdH is already quality enough to scratch that earthy itch.

This is powerful but not for the name sake. Opens with tart grapefruit and eucalyptus. I get the Elemi resin, sage, pepper, patchouli and woods, Cedar is prominent. I don't get the Canabis, not sure what they were looking for. I don't get flower fresh or burnt, it does feel bitter green which could be attributed to fresh foliage. But Canabis, I'm missing it? It reminded me of Greek Church, almost incensey with a antiquey woodyness. With 2 strong sprays I found it was to much and overwhelmed me. Go easy, it will certainly get you noticed 5.3

Its very reminiscent of unsmoked weed bud of those strains with the citrusy orange bits. To me it reads earthy and aromatic plus its a pretty easy wear.

Probably one of the best cannabis scents, sadly most people don't enjoy the scent of cannabis, me neither.

Here's a fragrance for those who truly appreciate the cannabis note—and let me make it clear: it's not a note that particularly appeals to me, and this naturally influences my perception throughout its use. The opening surprised me positively. The freshness of eucalyptus along with grapefruit is very evident, bringing an energetic, clean, and even sophisticated start that grabs attention in the first few minutes. There's a refreshing, almost aromatic sensation that creates an interesting expectation for its evolution. In the dry-down, the approach changes clearly. The cannabis takes center stage in a dominant way, with a very realistic, green, and striking profile. It's a strong signature, without much softening, and, from what I've observed in general reviews, that's exactly what the fragrance aims to deliver. In my case, this intensity ended up overshadowing the other nuances, reducing the perceived complexity and making the evolution more restrained. My sense of smell isn't very trained, so I confess that, due to the strong prominence of the cannabis note, I couldn't properly perceive the spices like sage and pepper, much less the base notes. On my skin, the cannabis remained strong until the end, without losing its prominence, which reinforces the perfume's identity, but also makes the construction more linear than I expected. After about 3 hours of wear, I experienced clear olfactory fatigue. I stopped identifying nuances and all I could smell was just a green and aromatic perfume, even pleasant, a sensation that remained for many hours—I even noticed this after 15 hours of wear. However, this didn't necessarily reflect reality: I had external reports that the perfume was still very present, with a more bitter aspect and even a little unpleasant over time. In the end, it's a fragrance very consistent with its proposal: those seeking a prominent cannabis note, present from beginning to end, will find exactly that here. For those who don't have as much affinity with this note, as is my case, the experience ends up being more limited, even recognizing the quality of the construction and the clarity of the idea that the perfume delivers.

The grapefruit and eucalyptus notes listed made me think this would be that citrusy, tropical, intoxicating cannabis scent you get from pineapple strains. Nope. This is just stinky, in a bong you've never cleaned kind of way. I swear, most perfumers forget cannabis is a FLOWER. Either way, it's bad. Don't bother. The dry down is ok but there are other woody scents more worth your while. For those interested, the closest thing I've found to that yummy, pungent pineapple type of cannabis scent is in "I Love You Mary Jane" by DSH perfumes.

I'm a huge pot head so when I heard about this and Cannabis intense I sought out some samples. They just arrived and according to the reviews here this one is more of a "Just smoked" Smell so I tried it first. Starts off as light crisp grapefruit on me, then it's gone. I put on even more, I put it on my hair, I pretty much bathe in it. 2 minutes later it's gone. I asked some close friends to sniff me. They had to lean in close to catch a wiff and even then it was hard. Just doesn't work well with my chemistry.

Ahahahahahahaha. Hilarious, guys. A bizarre 3-act experimental mime show performed by bong-headed fragrance engineers who've spent a little too much time in the lab under the influence. ACT 1: Scarily, photrealistically stinky green, fresh weed leaves, a pretty rank and low-grade variety at that, stinky stanky skanky, bliss to those who like this sort of stuff, a bit rough and maybe headache-inducing for the more discerning smoker. Almost outrageously authentic ... no idea whether this is distilled or a digital recreation, but yes, if you want to smell like cheap weed without actually smoking or consuming cheap weed, it can be done. Definitely the weed for the cheap seats, no gourmet citrus-scented premium haze or finest hash here, but the feral humid reek of any teenage wastrel's bedroom, complete with notes of sweaty feet, damp used clothing and a duvet saturated with hormones. (I wish I was joking. Seriously it's just horrid.) Lasts about an hour and a half. ACT 2: Actually rather manageable oud which comes as a relative respite (it's come to something where a dark and sour oud, even though it's not fecal here, is still "the easy bit" of the scent). I mean it's OK, but wouldn't you rather have oud and something that actually smells nice? Lasts for 1-2h further. ACT 3: OMG the relief, a gentle comedown with (finally!) some almost-likeable aura of flat cola and warm, gentler spices. By this time pretty quiet. The fug in my head clears a little. Maybe an hour of this. It might float your boat... to my mind it's just as fetid but somehow less scary than Black Afgano ... yet in the 'smells like the real thing' stakes it's leagues darker and stinkier than Mancera Hindu Kush. Honestly, though, who is this scent actually FOR? If you want to smell this way, you could just smoke loads and then roll in some dirt - it would be cheaper and you might get more of a buzz from the experience. I struggle to think of the real-world application for this. Some sort of bizarre DEA agency practical-exam test cheat perhaps, where you've got to smell authentically stoner-dirty but test clean? 10/10 could surely fool sniffer dogs and/or get you arrested. Um, no thanks.... Still, a mild stoned giggle with the aromachemists responsible: it's quite a prank, for a stink.

On one hand, vegetal cannabis and pepper-laden patchouli. On the other hand? Close your eyes and smell the opening - and prepare to be transported to a special land of the smell of... hotdogs? This is some puzzling juice. I think it's quite nice, if you take it in for what it is, at a distance, (in its limited sillage). If you stick your nose in it? Hotdogs. Edit 4 months later: Re-tried this, having forgotten whether it was this one or cannabis intense that I disliked so much. Away from my fragrantica account, of course, so blind to my own notes. And yep. Frying ham sausage. Vile.

Very accurate cannabis note. For peculiar taste I'd say :) Quite strong and long lasting. I'd never be able to pull it off. Cannabis accord is amplified to the biblical proportions on my skin. Pretty interesting, but not when you catch it from a lady.

Year and some change still no cannabis note, intense spices opening, absolute oriental, cardamom, nutmeg, sage, resin. Luving Fragrance du Bois's take on this type, superbly tamed. Starts to ignite refinement, stays same accord, again a du Bois mid start-settle into total stylishness. Personally enjoy the overspray drydown a lot in this, linear scent but then the greater overall caliber has it bring out more and more fun and complexity.

A blast of upliftingly green, fresh cannabis which then goes on to being a crisp, elegant & aquatic scent, aswell as having a tart, balsamic oudy tone. There's a sweet, slightly minty feel here that just gives it that final touch. One of the most realistic cannabis scents on the market IMHO. This is honestly lovely and has the signature FdB smoothness that is present in a lot of their more expensive scents.

The opening is fresh and fruity with cannabis. Not smoky, neither skanky. After this a very realistic and beautiful gumnut (eucalyptus&fruit) comes in. Can not detect any mint. Later, a tiny bit of real! oud warms it all up. The oud, in combo with the gumnut and patchouly, spooks around quiet a long time. It's an absolute high quality perfume! close to the skin, for summer and very unisex.

Spring Scent: 6,5/10 Opening is minty from the eucalyptus and a bit of pepper and hints of citrus. The fragrance becomes a bit more earthy and woody at the dry down. Smells a bit like cannabis in the dry down rather than the opening. It's pretty close to the skin though. Silage: 4/10 Longevity: 4,5/10

Was curious about this so got a sample from Jovoy. I respect the art but this was a scrubber for me. I don’t actually know why anyone would want to smell like this. I usually wait for the dry down but in this case I couldn’t wait to get it off my skin fast enough.
