Cannabis Intense

I bought at least 4 decants of 2ml before I purchased a FB, because for the price I really wanted to make sure this is worth it. Its so classy, it is my perfect suit perfume . Kind of if you would take a TF Oud Wood , remove some of the vanila sweetness and make it bit more dark green herbal. That's what Cannabis Intense is. It's sort of calming and reassuring . So initially , first decants I remember very strong . like the 2ml easily would last maybe 8 wearnings, just a little 2 or 3 sprays amd was plenty to have a very strong sillage. In fact so strong that it made me think, since the cannabis , albeit very herbal one, was so prominent , I was concern that may give people the wrong kind of idea about me. So I left it for a while but then it was so pleasing that I came back and back , buying decants, with multiple months of difference . Yet at one point I kinda noticed that the 2ml sample I used like in 3-4 wearings. And it wasn't as strong anymore. Also.ot giving such a strong cannabis vibe neither . Its there, but not like THERE. I thought, well sometimes smell sensation changes as well as we get used to perfumes. Anyway , I got a good deal and bought a bottle . Stunning presentation , as all FDB are. and enjoying every bit. However.I do feel they have reformed it and "watered down". Essentially it is the same perfume , yet the longevity or intesiveness is not quite on same level as the ones a few years ago. My total personal opinion and experience . // I understand that people's smell weakens as we get older as well as how well we take care of ourselves , for example if one is to do fasting and then after the fasting is over to smell a perfume , it will clearly feel much more intensive . Also when you travel , the atmosphere air amd temperature affects the perfume just as bit. Or if someone quits smoking , tje olfatic sense changes, etc etc . so what I'm trying to say6is that not always the claims of perfume formula change an actually be valid . But in this case I can spray like 10-12 sprays and be ok, which is something I couldn't imagine withe the version I bought years ago. Still an amazing perfume but now u have to factor in that need double or triple of the amount .

You know when you find a fragrance that just blows you away....... you know when you get told the price per ml and draw a sharp intake of breath, combined with a gulp....... and then you know when you you’ve fallen in love with it & check Fragrantica, convinced that it’s at least a 4.4..... and it’s not: that’s EXACTLY what happened here. I personally cannot abide the smell of cannabis, so when the S A in the Jovoy boutique in London wanted me to try this and Cannabis Blue from Fragrance du Bois, I point-blank refused. A battle of wills ensued and..... well..... I lost, she won and I couldn’t be happier. I’m very thankful that I tried Intense first though because Blue definitely wasn’t my bag at all. Cannabis Intense thankfully was a completely different prospect, although really, I can’t put my finger on exactly why. It’s a bit of everything: a tiny bit citric, a bit warm, a bit more woody, a splash of green, a little bit earthy, very vaguely animalic .... As I say, I can’t put my finger on exactly why I LOVE it; I just do. It does certainly give off more of a vetiver/sweet hay vibe than a cannabis smoke, so if you’re a vetiver lover, as I am, this might well interest you greatly. Longevity and projection isn’t the greatest but I actually like the fact that it’s not loud. The sillage though is beautiful and sitting in its scent bubble just makes me smile. You can absolutely smell the quality of the ingredients here which is to be applauded but I do honestly think it’s overpriced, despite the wonderful (if not over-the-top) presentation. That being said though, I couldn’t give them my money quick enough!! I personally don’t get the comparisons with TF Oud Wood. Maybe a touch similar on the woods with the original version of OW that goes ever so slightly sweet but definitely not the more contemporary formulation. It does lean masculine yes but it’s certainly unisex and really, I’d happily wear it pretty much any time, other than the high heat of a summers day. A solid 4.6 for me!

FRAGRANCE DU BOIS Cannabis Intense Shadi Samra 2020 Unisex, nowadays I’m thinking male leaning though One of my favourite from Fragrance du Bois. Beautifully aromatic, classy and versatile year around perfume. Absolutely sophisticated - don’t get scared because of the name. Cannabis Intense as a name may bring some associations into your mind but this one is different. The scent is so perfectly blended that all the notes have completely merged with each other from the beginning. Really quickly after opening the sharp spicy notes are gone and I notice soft nutmeg and pleasant earthy Saffron but in this point there should be cannabis note as well. This is the moment when this scent turns out very interesting, it’s there but in a unique way. Cannabis is not like for example in Nasomatto Black Afgano which is more hashish like or like in FDB Cannabis Blue which is extremely realistic dry Marihuana (weed) scent. You can find here two types of Cannabis accords and the fresh green one is balanced with Oud and Saffron. Another one is inspired by the smell of the burnt Cannabis leaves. Neither of those notes are dominant since the idea was to create a synergy between woody, spicy and green notes. This seams to be quite linear, it doesn’t change so much during its lifetime and it’s very comfortable, soft, woody musk base balances the blend until the end. Yet, thinking about the idea of the scent, the complexity is there. Oud is not any main note here and imo Oud here is more beautifully made than in FDB’s Oud line. I mean it doesn’t come straight away into your nose and disappear quickly. Here it is smoothly in the background. Gorgeous scent! Thank you for reading, I hope my review was helpful. I adore this fragrance. Personally, there is something about it that resonates with me. That being said, the cannabis note is so far in the background that it might as well be absent. Very easy to wear and very elegant.

First of all I apologize if there is an error in the language, I am using google translator. I see that a lot of people voted for a similarity to Encre Noire / Encre Noire extreme, but it really strikes me that no one mentions it in their reviews. The output of this fragrance is beautiful, green, fresh, sparkling, bright... I think due to the contribution of some citrus, cardamom and cannabis... without a doubt this is my favorite part, where the fragrance is fresh and energizing, but after a few minutes a transition to dark, dry, smoky woods begins, very similar to encre noire, but with very little reminiscence of encre noire sport as well (a hint of citrus light peeks out in the background) At this point the fragrance falls sharply in terms of its strength and in terms of the interest it generates in me, it already becomes boring and fades very quickly. The performance on my skin is below average, about 3 or 4 hours and it no longer exists on the skin. I would like the initial part to last longer, for the fragrance to be stronger, and for the cannabis note to play a more prominent role. On the other hand, I'm also trying Cannabis Blue, which I find much more interesting, even less elegant too :) greetings from Argentina

This does not smell like cannabis like you think so don't let the name of this fragrance fool you. It comes off as dry grass here, and not a typical cannabis smell at all. People might think it smells cannabis because it's a mix of grass, saffron, cardamom and Pepper which overall gives it a bit spicy and aromatic grass smell. But definitely not Cannabis. In the opening you get a green and woody scent with a blast of cardamom and saffron. The saffron and cardamom quickly calms down and what you're left with is a dark woody scent that leans green with a hint of pepper. A nice casual scent for winter.

It's a green, bitter and earthy scent. I think any gentleman wearing this smells very attractive, but as a lady I enjoy wearing this too. Dont be put off by the name, it's unoffending, just a leafy scent that calms the nerves. I have no idea what a cannabis plant should smell like, but if you are a grass lover this is for you.

Its kinda like a hybrid of TF Oud Wood the creamy, pink pepper sterile feed embedded inside the dusty woody tones of Creed Royal Oud. Some slight herbaceous qualities but to my nose too similar to Tom Ford oud wood to own both despite some variances

Just got a blind buy 10ml sample and already regret it. I'm not a lover of vetiver fragrances and, for me, this is the only thing I can smell from my initial application despite it not being listed anywhere in the notes. Performance also seems to be lacking as the smell has dissipated at an alarming rate and is at best skin scent level within the first 40 minutes. Staggered that this can be sold for the RRP with its uninteresting linearity and apparent longevity issues.

Doesn’t live up to its name. First of all, with moderate projection and longevity, there’s nothing intense about this fragrance. The opening has a sharp, (not pungent) high quality and nuanced cannabis accord but it dulls out and becomes stale within minutes, before it’s just absorbed into the earthy bedding. Poorly balanced. If the opening persisted, this would be a masterpiece.

Not very cannabis or very intense, all around just a dry ass oud and cedar with a bunch of smoke choking it out but ig it’s supposed to be weed, if you’re looking for a realistic weed this ain’t it, more like a smoky Oud Wood with what feels like the same performance, hardly intense

Beastly performance for first 3 hours. String cannabis accord is sharp for the first hour but after that it gets way softer (read "more wearable"). Good but not my favorite from this house

Should be called Wood Intense. I don't detect any cannabis note in this at all.

This beautiful fragrance opens with a wonderful blend of Orange, Cardamom, rose and Pink Pepper. The green note which follows comes from the Cannabis note which is more Cannabis leaves smell than the pungent and sometimes cheesy flower aroma of cannabis that can be unpleasant. The base of the fragrance is a beautiful mix of Saffron, Nutmeg, Oud, Cedar and Musk. The dry down is smooth and sexy on my skin. Longevity, and sillage are above average and a nice bubble will envelop you for more than 4 hours. This juice does not smell like weed at all but more like hemp and I already had a nice compliment while wearing it.😊 The fragrance is unisex but it leans a little more on the masculine side because of its green woody aspect that I really love. Thumbs up to Fragrance Du Bois for creating this awesome, versatile and timeless creation. Nose Happy!👃🏽👍🏽😊💚💚💚

CI feels like a very mature, elegant, gentlemanly scent to me. It’s built around cardamom, vetiver, and cedar, with the cardamom coming off dry and spicy, not sweet or sexy. There’s a faint smoky edge that gives it some character without making it heavy. It’s easy to wear and pretty versatile overall. As it dries down, it gets greener and cleaner. The saffron adds a soft suede-like leather vibe that stays smooth and well blended. Some days the opening can feel a bit sharp, but overall it’s a polite, well-behaved fragrance.

I regret this blind buy purchase mainly because it's identical to Jo Malone Oud & Bergamot. I tried to justify the high price there is no difference. Get Jo Malone instead and save. your money. There is no cannabis on this one.

Liquorice, anise, wormwood, patchouli, camphor and soaked tobacco leaves. Very earthy, herbal scent that isn't entirely successful in trying to replicate the scent of cannabis.

It smells to me like a room where marijuana is often smoked. The room is ventilated, but the smoke has crept into the wooden furniture and parquet.

If you're looking for a strong smoked cannabis scent, FdB's Cannabis Blue is much more so than this.

Nice and wearable classy earthy fragrance with semi-realistic bud. Quite subtle but nice.

It is fresh, dusty and metallic. It is less reallistic than Cannabis Blue.

Is it really so similar to Encre Noire?

Ditto same as Jo Malone Oud & Bergamot.
