Cayman Bleu

This is a fantastic fresher take on the very popular Oud Bleu Intense from Fragrance Du Bois. Even though it doesn't depart very far from the original, which I also own, the extra burst of zestiness from the mandarin orange in the opening makes for an even more refreshing take on the DNA. After several weeks of testing after buying a bottle, the mid and drydown of Cayman Bleu is almost identical to the original minus the slightest woodiness which is attributed to the oud. It is not very discernible. If you own, the original, this is 90% redundant, but if you are looking for an overall slightly fresher take on a excellently well layered fragrance with depth and is even more versatile year round, this is the one to get. It was released late 2025 in the US as a special limited edition release. PS: The bottle is a clear colourless crystal, the one in the profile photo of this page has a blue hue, which is not the case

I haven't had any QC issues with this. Very similar to Oud Bleu Intense with a brighter twist. It's easy to go nose blind but it lasts for a long time on me. It's a limited run 100ml bottle and isn't on discounters ever. I love the note combo, not sure what it reminds me of, but it's got a unique smell of spices and a deep intoxicating nature. I smell a lot of the nutmeg which is very nice. Good to get a sample, but you could also get Oud Bleu Intense and come probably within 75% of the same smell as this. This one just gives that little extra boost of brightness I enjoy.

Earnestangelo below me nailed this... This is such a great take on oud Bleu Intense. I actually prefer this but too bad it's a limited run. Rumor has it only 280 bottles were made? I'm definitely milking this... Projection, longevity and sillage is amazing & the quality is du bois at its finest! I hope they add this eventually.

I adore this fragrance. The QC on it is trash (I purchased from an authorized retailer so my product is legit). The cap isn't fully secure and I had to push down the collar myself when I got it. Aside from that, my bottle doesn't sit flat, but neither does my London Spice, so it seems like the house isn't too concerned with quality control. I've heard a lot of people say that they get good performance from this; personally, I get very average performance at best, but I'll update if that changes after a few more wears. The Scent itself is a gorgeous, spicy fragrance with a little burst of sweet mandarin. I'd buy it over again despite not the best performance on myself and the janky presentation and higher price point just based on how I love the spices in this. Not blind buy safe by any means, especially because this isn't going too be easy to get for much of a discount. If you enjoy spicy fragrances, do yourself a favor and give you'd one a try.
