Absolutely beautiful and very classic scent. Truley reminds me of a luxurious skin cream or even super clean smelling detergent or something. Since I considered Heritage a more feminine fragrance once id recieved my (ELEVEN DOLLAR) 2ml sample vial, I was positive my mom would love it, but oddly enough she HATES IT! lol. Im thinking she's ultra sensitive to the Oud note bc she says it smells "Off putting like BO" which shocked me bc I experienced the polar opposite. Thing is that although I detect ZERO OUD in Heritage, as a collector Im probably just more accustomed to smelling Oud but my mom is NOT. She let me do a couple tiny spritzes on her hand and she literally GAGGED and proclaimed "It smells like dirty armpits!!" Sufficed to say she was actually sorta pissed off at me bc Id insited she try it on skin.. 😯.. Sorry Mom! Lol. I still feel Heritage is absolutely stunning and if it weren't REDICULOUSLY PRICED, id probably purchase a full bottle. Imo FDB's -Heritage is a gorgeous, long-lasting and although it does lean a bit feminine, a Clean smell is universally appealing, but again that $400 PLUS pricetag (on friggn' discounters mind you) is just RE-DONCULOUS! No can do Fragrance Du Bois, NO CAN DO!

After reading the reviews, prior to trying it, I was expecting that it would be a trip down memory lane with the soap smells of years gone by. The opening did not disappoint. I got a whiff of ivory soap and maybe some Camay, but this is mostly just the aldehydes. This is not a fragrance that is meant to impress. Instead, I think it has a more Proustian goal--to let the fragrance evoke memories of simpler times, without all the hoopla and fireworks. The other notes come into play fairly soon after the opening and grow in importance as it heads into drydown. I can see wearing this after a bath at home as I prepare for bed or an early morning workout. This house has some powerhouses, but this one is about nostalgia and comfort. I can see why some do not like it, but it is different from most of what is on the market now. Glad I tried it, but won't be getting a full bottle.

I smelled all of what they had on display in Selfridges (before I enquired about price, lol) and Heritage immediately jumped out of the crowd. It's effervescent and so different (in a very positive way) I was instantly drawn to it. I do agree with the previous reviewers who said it smells like super luxurious soap. It does. But it also smells like 'old money' and class and sophistication. I'd say it's closer to Amouage Dia Woman than to Xerjoff Pikovaya Dama. Pikovaya Dama is more creamy aldehydic while Dia is sparkling aldehydic and to me, Heritage smells like something fizzy and happy. I didn't really detect oud, but lots of aldehydes, great quality iris butter and incense,I think. Plus the mixture of the other notes. I think it smells spectacular and I definitely want it. But first, once my samples arrive, I'm going to test Heritage and Dia side by side.

The pinnacle of soapy powdery scents (besting even Pikovaya Dama) is this offering from FDB that most closely replicates a vintage Camay or Lux soap bar, something that I absolutely craved to bathe in as a child. The scent opens with aldehydes, bergamot and orris. The heart is mostly jasmine, rose, slight tuberose and incense. The perfume settles on a powdery base of cedar, vanilla, sandalwood, synthetic musk and real oud. The feminine leaning scent has moderate to strong projection and excellent longevity. Absolutely a must try if you are into powdery, vintage floral aldehydes. Very nostalgic of opulent days gone by. Enjoy!

If you're looking for the ultimate soapy scent, this perfume is the pinnacle. I know £595 is a crazy price, but if you buy this perfume, you can throw away every other soapy scent you own. This is the most luxurious soapy scent I've ever smelled, and both its longevity and projection are absolutely beastly. Before buying this perfume, I did wonder — is it really worth spending £595 on just a soapy scent? But that doubt turned out to be completely unfounded. It's absolutely worth it, and the best part is that I constantly get compliments from people around me about how amazing I smell

its my all time favourite of soapy scent perfume. like the other kind of soapy scent, its a classic modern type of perfume that reminiscent freshness, clean, and luxurious. you can pull it off at almost all condition but i preferably pick on upscale situation that need you to look formal (or casual too).

I love this scent as a daily wear in warmer months. It’s such a light, airy, soapy, and luxurious scent. However, $750 is a crazy price to pay. Chanel’s Misia is nearly identical for the same effect at a fraction of the price, but it does lack a bit of the polish that Heritage has.

Something is in this fragrance that smells like an African traditional soap called "soda soap"🤔 or maybe my nose needs fixing 🤷 overall seemed to be good luxurious soapy scent and the dry down is incredibly nice.. But I'm not really into this scent as it doesn't really catch me😕

Absolutely stunning fragrance! It smells classy and expensive. If you think about classic French parfumerie it is Heritage Perfume de Bois .

Fresh and Clean soapy...nothing more. But a beast performer.

This fragrance is a clean girl scent, in my opinion. It's quite similar to Deviant by Wesker, but with a shorter longevity and projection. Deviant, I would say, keeps the powdery notes, loses the iris, and has a cherry and lipstiky notes tht make it quite seductive. Heritage is powdery, soapy and takes iris (orris) to a whole new level where it doesn't tire the nose (I usually hate iris fragrances). I liked it, but not enough to use up the decant, much less buy a full bottle. I think it's incredibly expensive for what it offers. Deviant is 1/3 of the price and longevity and projection are triple, get Deviant if you like powdery scents. Scent: 7/10 Longevity vs. price: 3/10 Projection vs. price: 6/10

The initial spray of powdery aldehydes and florals is so beautiful. Like its name suggests, Heritage is perfumery of times gone by - it’s classically floral, soapy-clean and feminine. It reminds me of Rasasi’s Afshan (more than Dia and Picovaya Dama) which is a budget and much rougher version. The dry-down is less exciting (it smells like powdery marigold tagetes) as it reduces down into a soft skin-scent that’s no-where near as dynamic.

Elegant & Sophisticated version of a tone down Attar called Janat-Ul Firdaus with hints of Amuage Gold and a very high price tag. Its very very sophisticated and super classy, its fresh and clean and can be worn all year around in any situation. You cant go wrong purchasing this one, but to be honest there are other brands which cost less and gives a similar vibe with the whole fresh clean & spicy fragrance.

It's quite an interesting scent - reminds me of a barbershop (the after-care hair products). I don't like it but somehow I keep sniffing the test strip 😂

Smells nice but not for me. To me I’m getting powdered soap with a hint of citrus.

First of all extremely over priced, definitely not worth the money. This is the most overwhelmingly soapy perfume I've ever had (bought 10 ml spray only), it literally STINK old soap my grandparents had at home back in the 1970's and it takes ages before the real perfume notes are slowly coming. I can't understand how someone can charge €750 for this, it's ridicules. When I find perfumes stinking overwhelmingly like this one, then i have a nice trick which calms the stench. I take 2-3 sprays of the perfume, then I take some perfume-free hydrating lotion in my hands and smoothly cover my whole neck with the lotion where i added the perfume. It kills the stench when the thin layer of lotion covers the perfume and it also releases the perfume for a far longer time than if you didnt have the perfume-free lotion covering the perfume. this is a good trick for all overwhelming perfumes. You must f course use a perfume-free lotion

Sorry my language, but when I got it the first feeling I had was WHAT THE F**K IS THIS????? It's absolutely horrible a stench that is hard to get rid off even with soap and water 4-5 times over and you still feel the exteremely soapy stench from your body. Scandalous to say the least to charge €750 for something like this, I gave away my 10 ml bottle for free same day I bought it for a hefty price online. From this house I adore only Parisian, nothing else. As far as I'm concerned FdeBois is the most overrated crap high-end perfume house of them all (I have only high-end perfumes since 8-9 years back, MFK is my cheapest brand, and price definitely doesn't tell is a perfume is good or bad. I warn everyone from buying this)

Honestly.. this kinda sucks. Semi-creamy, baby powder, and a cheap shampoo smell. That's what I get. Not worth the asking price whatsoever, and smells like it was composed by an amateur. Pass.

Soapy, inharmonious mix of aldehydes and florals. Smells like cleaning solution. Reminiscent of the Lattafa Sedley clone (Maahir, silver bottle). Base notes are MIA.

A scent that is heavy on the florals. It's the frontrunner that really pushes out. With a soapy touch to it. However, when the pricetag is what it is, i expect it to have some lasting power. After 2-3 hours all notes dies down and what you're left with is strong Musk that lasts all day. I know musk isn't listed as a note, but im definitely getting musk. C'mon, paying over 700$ for something that is just a simple musk scent after a couple of hours is a total ripoff. A dissappointing release. It's the same With Zest Marin. Marine for 2 hours then it's all musk. Gotta say. Of the 3 i've tried from the house, 2 of them, Heritage and Zest Marin all turns into simple Musk after 2-3 hours. Of the 10 hours, 7 of them is just strong musk. That doesn't count in my book.

Luxury in a bottle. As everyone mentioned, this is the most luxurious soap you can find anywhere. Fresh floral aldehyde smell reminds me of Amouage Dia woman, may be Heritage slightly lean towards unisex, but I think it’s more beautiful on a woman. Oud is almost non existent, which is a good thing, because oud wouldn’t be a great match for this kind of delicate scent. This is a quality stuff. But the price is kinda scary, $500 for a 50ml bottle is really too much. I would be happy with Dia, you can have the same experience for less money, Dia woman however is more feminine. Anyway, if you can wear heritage (as a man) then why not Dia woman. But if money is not an issue then Heritage is (slightly) more suitable for a man than Dia.

Lux hand wash soap. That was exactly the first thing that came up to my mind when i first sniffed it! as a matter of facts, i thiught it was only me but my friends said the same thing when the sniffed it too! It is soapy with aldehydes, sandalwood, white floral, lime, clean orris. it's just like the 90s bubbly soap hype fragrances, quite clean. This fragrance is in limited quantity as the lady from Jovoy boutique said and i don't remember why! maybe the rarity of their ingredient and notes. Comparing this to their other fragrances, well, i don't see that it deserves it's price tag of 600$+ for 100 ml! as it comes in 100ml only. No Thank you.

This fragrance is intoxicating. It immediately jumped up to the top of my list as far as soapy scents go. It's effervescent like a luxury bubble bath, and an instant mood booster. To mirror what Taskphorce said, I'm also not typically a fan of florals but I absolutely LOVE this. I find it slightly masculine leaning but it could easily be unisex. The aldehydes, florals and a touch of bergamot are pretty much all I notice though, and I don't detect the faintest hint of oud, incense or any of the other woody notes really - maybe a touch of sandalwood if I focus..but this doesn't bother me at all.

I am halfway finished with my 5ml decant and have fallen fast for this one. It is such a beautiful, elegant, and uplifting scent. It really brightens my mood. I sprayed it on over 12 hours ago and I can still smell it on me. Honestly it doesn’t project that strong for me but that does not bother me one bit. The only reason holding me back from full bottle purchase is that I thought I was set for summer fragrances and not looking to purchase anymore for the year (🤥)

At first spray, it reminds me instantly to Amouage Gold, very clean, luxurious soap, definitely well blended and very smooth, not unique at all and with ridiculous price tag, hard pass for me due to the fact that there is a bunch of scents out there that can do the same for 1/3 of the price, and also leans feminine in my personal opinion. But hey, if you like it enjoy it, peace out.

Fancy soap. That is all. I mean, sure, it's very clean and fresh and smells fancy, but it's super soapy and really doesn't smell like anything other than an expensive bar of soap. If that's what you want, then great. But to me it's absolutely not worth anything near this insane price tag.

Cloying soap. Probably not the best idea to smell it up close. After an hour or 2 this unfolds into a much nicer fragrance, smells of quality and I can see appeal. It does project within your own bubble nicely, whether it's worth waiting for the far dry-down is up for debate.

Soapy aldehydes. I really like pikovaya dama, and thought I’d also like this one, but I think the aldehydes popped too much on my skin for this frag so I couldn’t appreciate it. I’ll stick with the xerjoff.

First impressions: very good quality soap, warm, sharp, grown up, not too heavy, prominent floral notes and Jasmin on a woody base. Interesting. Probably a nice dinner with posh friends type of fragrance.

Feminine fresh lovely aldehydes are my jam. This is my jam. Do I need to sell a body part to buy a bottle - ah yeah. So my sample will do.

Simply Amazing. Smells like u have the most expensive soap and your the cleanest person on earth.

Smells like Carlsbad Inn by the ocean. Clean linen, detergent and ocean breeze.

I would go for Cacharel pour L'Homme instead.
