My taste has always leaned toward fragrances steeped in femininity, seductive, magnetic, yet veiled in an aura of mystery and quiet grandeur. This is the kind of perfume that turns heads against will, the embodiment of womanhood as I have always imagined it. Years ago, I found it by chance and knew, almost instantly, that it would become the fragrance of my wedding day. It is that kind of scent; one worthy of being breathed in by a lover against the skin of the woman he adores, each inhale revealing the rare elegance of her soul, and reminding him how fortunate he is to belong to her taste, just as she chose this perfume as an extension of herself. Its notes are astonishing, unfolding like a secret meant for intimate evenings, yet somehow luminous enough to be worn beneath the morning sun. Its only demand is this: to be paired with elegance, with a presence that is effortlessly captivating, and with the kind of confidence that does not seek attention—because it was born to command it. And as though fate wished to return it to me, I found it again today at an astonishing price: $114 off, an irresistible indulgence I seized without hesitation. Some encounters are too rare, too destined, to let slip away.

LOVERS starts off with a lush burst of fruit coctail, bergamot, ginger then it evokes tropical hint with passion fruit while plum starts to emerge. The opening is really succulent, thick and mellow. It has right amount of freshness and sweetness. To some extent it reminds of a really juicy bubblegum. What happens next is what LOVERS in my opinion is all about. That beautiful saffron. Its intoxicating and seductive. It envelopes an aurora around you thats a bit leathery, a bit medicinal and metallic in the beginning. Its softened by gentle rose and Jasmine even though the floral facets are subtle. Fragrance Du Bois' surely know how to make their saffron note feel so natural and seductive whether it be Sahraa or Cavort. In the drydown I mostly get the collision between woody notes, cashmere and sandalwood in which sandalwood prevails making it silky smooth fragrance. Fragrance Du Bois have hit the right spot with LOVERS, I feel this is much better than other offerings such as Cavort and Secret Tryst. You get a well crafted complex creation. Its perfectly unisex, seductive and all season fragrance with good performances. To my nose, I get a bit of Oud Orange Intense.

im a psychiatric social worker at a hospital in an inpatient psych setting. i work closely with a group of psychiatrist, one of which we bond over fragrance. She blind bought this and was excited for it to come. She got it and immediately hated it because there is a note that she cant stand, but doesnt know what it is. She gave it to me to try(she gives me lots of samples of things that seem too manly for her and they are unisex) and i loved it immediately. She told me to enjoy because it would have been a hassle to return. This is a 300.00 dollar bottle of parfum and i am forever grateful. This is just a beautiful scent all the way around .That first opening and burst of fruit is amazing. Once it get to that rose layer i fall even more in love. This scent is perfect for summer evenings out in a nice outfit and shoes.

Hello everyone. I received Lovers in PR yesterday, and it’s a love at first sniff. My first impressions are it’s a beautiful citrus + saffron floral, I love this one so much. It’s not tooth achingly sweet, it’s the sweetness you’d get with a citrus fruit. It’s bright, it’s sexy to me as well. I’m still testing this out, but so far longevity and projection are beautiful (I have very dry skin so longevity is often a problem for me). Had a sample of this and absolutely LOVE it. I agree with others that it’s a bit basic of a scent profile at retail - but seeing it at some discounters I am a little bit tempted. I have a lot of rose in my collection right now, otherwise I would pull the trigger. I love how the sandalwood and cashmere add some depth to the florals, making this a unisex floral. I personally loved the added depth/earthiness blended into the florals. I can definitely recall a number of much cheaper Arabian perfumes that tread this same water, but I don’t think any do it quite so smoothly.

DON'T listen to the nay-sayers. I personally LOVE it and I've gotten so many compliments! I have smelled both Cavort and Secret Tryst and I decided to go with this one because of its fruity and rosy notes. I did not find any of the notes synthetic and loved the woodiness. As for the claims that you can "get it at Bath and Body works for 19.99," whoever said this is lyingg. I put this perfume on at 9 in the morning and I was complimented on it at 4 pm -- Long lasting and strong

I decided to order this fragrance, not because of the reviews but rather the notes. To be on the safe side, I also ordered a tester. After I try the tester if I am nor pleased I will return the full unopened bottle. This will be my 2nd purchase from this house. The first one was a fail, let's see what this second purchase has to offer. Fingers crossed1

This was love at first sniff for me and the more it dried down, the better. I personally like the way the fruity/floral notes balances with the woody notes. I do catch a whiff of the erba pura comparisons as time passes but it’s not an exact duplicate. I’ve had it on for about 7 hours and can still smell it which I LOVE.

I Adore this perfume . It’s so sexy , animatic ravishing , sophisticated and unique , you just can’t help it . It’s like a seductress that’s steals your heart , mind and soul for eternal ecstasy . Absolutely unisex . Outstanding longevity and silage . I mark it 10/10 .

Received my order today, I have to say that I am glad I also ordered a tester to try before opening the full bottle. I was expecting so much more from this fragrance. Thank god I can return it.

Smelled this in store and to me this is the perfect date night fragrance! So beautiful, playful, sensual. Honey and velvet come to mind. Instant love, have been thinking about it.

I got my bottle of Lovers yesterday. One spray on my arm as a tester as soon as I unpacked it - and today I can still smell it. It’s powerful indeed. Heady Oud is prominent to my nose. It’s sadly not a note I like so it seems to dominate. Having said that I’m going to take the time to wear it over the next week. If you like Oud this is certainly a winner. It is really well made and luxurious. I would say this is pretty complex and probably takes a number of wearings to really get into it but then I am biased given the Oud note. The packaging is divine. I love this house and have a few of their perfumes.

A previous review mentioned that this smells like a mix between Xerjoff's Erba Pura and Cavort also from FDB and I totally agree. I have Cavort in my collection and because of the similarities I don’t think that you would need both. Personally I prefer Cavort - to me it’s more rounded and smooth. Lovers has a more fruity profile though the DNA is very similar to Cavort. The ginger note gives it a sharpness in the opening that comes off as a bit synthetic on my skin, though it does settle down after a short while. Unisex leaning feminine imo.

When I sprayed this on my skin, it instantly reminded me of something. I rushed to my perfume cabinet, but couldn't find an exact dupe. However, I do agree that it bears some similarity to rose woodiness of Scherzo, but it leans more towards fruity scents like Accento overdose, some Lorenzo Pazzaglia, some Terenzi creations, Simone Andreoli perhaps. I don't need any more scents from the same olfactory group, so it's a pass for me.

Intense, opulent, and fancy. Fruity oudy rose. Rich yet still fresh and wearable. I have enjoyed Lovers so much. I really like this, but there are so many dark fruity rose scents with saffron or oud or patchouli out there that this does not have to be the One. My personal fave is Miller Harris Scherzo. Lovers has a lot more saffron by comparison, which is a tough note for me, so I’m cool with my sample

A good & delicate rosy-spicy-woody scent that's slightly drier than Cavort (but otherwise similar). It has little in common with the sweet fruity musky bombs of Xerjoff & TT.

Nice fruity floral with all the great notes being too light. Reminds me of Erba Pura with the strength halfed. Nice but overpriced.

All that PR product & the YT/IG reviews in my feed had me thinking this must be the best thing since sliced bread - what a red flag that actually was. Lovers opens with a screechy saffron that clearly smells synthetic - I'm already annoyed before we even get to the core scent itself. Fragrance du Bois' signature rose (soapy rose that they have in many of their scents) flanks the saffron. But get this - the top notes become more apparent as the scent dries and they offer accord resemblance to the profile of Erba Pura & Kirke. So you basically have diet BR540 EDP + Erba Pura / Kirke + soapy rose. This is the ultimate synthetic mixing pot of scent profiles, and is structured like a Tiziana Terenzi fragrance. Comments talking about "masterful blend" are literally mind-blowing since there are so many things going wrong here. Longevity is very much meh, say 8-9 hours. Sillage is mostly moderate, but will be strong for the initial hour or so. Unisex. I'll be honest and give it an "Okay" 6/10. But this has not earned even an ounce of the hype it is getting online.

I totally agree with CGALEB's review (see below). Plus, in some whiffs I start to like it and at the next sniff it's inconsistent... acid. The oud in the opening is screechy, but then I get something sweet, that becomes watery and leaves... On my skin it turned a bit acid (which never ever happens...). I wanted to like it because I liked it from the bottle... but the ingredients are not in harmony. Can't like it.

Lovers, and this house in general, suffers from bad ingredients. Lovers didn't wear like a perfume but a room scent. I gave it an 'OK' because I can tell it is trying to do the right thing, and I appreciated the fruit vibe, but the composition is really harsh on the nose. Sample before committing.

Quite possibly the most overpriced fragrance on the entire market. Literally smells like something you could get at Bath and Body works for 19.99.

I didn’t really care for this perfume. It starts out rather intense with an almost gasoline Oud smell, followed by patchouli and saffron. Then the fruits come in. This fruity phase is nice when I directly smell where I placed the sample, but in the air I still get too much patchouli and saffron. I couldn’t really smell the soapy rose that others spoke about. This perfume doesn’t feel cohesive, like it’s going in too many directions. If this perfume is about Lovers I imagine a toxic relationship where one is overwhelming and has power over the other one, who is sweet, quiet, and easily overtaken. Not what I want in a perfume or in a relationship.

Wasn't a fan. It's kind of screechy in my opinion and not super well blended. Weirdly in the beginning stages it reminded me of Donna Valentino in some ways. Felt somewhat powdery/makeup smelling. Drydown is cashmere and sandalwood are mostly prominent on my skin with a little saffron, ginger, passion fruit in the background. Kind of bummed since the notes looked so good. Longevity isn't there, two sprays on my wrist and it's gone within an hour.

I did not like this fragrance at all. To me it was a very synthetic, screechy experience. I did not get any florals or fruits or woody nuances. All I got was a synthetic mess that I had to wash off. A hard pass for me.

This is a pretty perfume, but also quite mature smelling and very fruity. To me strong fruits along mature fragrances are usually quite distasteful. Lovers is like Kirke without as much musk.

Not listed as a note, but this is a total ambrox bomb. The cashmere wood for sure. Reminds me of TK No. 4 with how heavy the synthetic musk is. Musty undertone.

If gaslighting could be a perfume, it would be this one. Don't fall for the hype. This one DEFINITELY needs to be sampled first!

All I smell is some woody aroma chemical. For those like me who are sensitive to these types of fragrances, please test first.

Overpowering Beast of a Fragrance Complex. Potent. Spicy. Bold. Any fruity element is gone away completely within a second or two from the initial spray. This is a very strong, spicy, leathery, deep-dark-earthy kind of fragrance - it eventually, after a couple of hours, warms or maybe softens just a little bit with the woody notes and eventually lightens into something a little bit more tolerable. But those sharp, earthy, pungent notes are there for the entire scent ride. I don’t get any floral notes at all. This is definitely not a fruity or floral forward fragrance, nor is it a close-to-the-skin fragrance. This disappointed me because I was expecting all those beautiful fruit and floral notes especially for the extra cost involved - and when spraying on a glossy test strip yes you get a little of it, but once on actual skin it’s COMPLETELY different. **If you prefer airy/light fragrances, you will probably NOT like this. May be headache inducing for some.

The opening scent of this perfume reminds me of hair bleach—it's very headache-inducing and haunting

Dense sugary macaroon rose saffron with a hint of oud - it is nice, definitely wearable but unfortunately I'm going to have to agree that you can pick up this scent at the arabic section at Beauty base for under 20£. I know I know, those who already bought into it will be very adamant that this is special, but really, arabic perfumes do these types of scents so well at lower prices. Even just your local market arabic oil seller will have something similar. It's not particluarly smooth, but it's good! Don't get me wrong, just done so many times over and back - rose, saffron, oud, sweetness, twist of something fruity. Beautiful combination, but really if you're on a budget you can get this in much lower price category. The bottle is heavy and beautiful I will admit, and overall a great great scent. Just very popular scent profile across the budgets. Nothing wrong with that!

First of all BearLee I think that lady fancies you :) .. it’s an expensive bottle to abandon and pass on like that. Now on to the frag, I am lost for words. Pure gem, pure beauty, put class. Opening kinda reminds me of ADP Colonia intensia oud, but when FDB dries down it drifts on to something even more special - in fact that’s where the real sauce is. The smell hangs in the air in the same manner that roja Oceania and Roja Apex does... you almost can taste it if you open your mouth too much. Yes I can see why this would be deemed unisex but I see it being rocked better by the blokes. When you wear it, it sticks on you and it kinda makes you feel like you’re “on top” - there’s this this palpable affluent and confident vibe it gives. 11/10!

The one that remains in the soul and on the skin, that memory that can be translated into an olfactory symphony. Lovers is a strong fragrance, which opens fruity and sparkling and is then overwhelmed by intense, ripe floral scents and saffron, which, at least on my skin, dominates the entire evolution. An opulent, important creation that does not go unnoticed, not my thing but, like all Fragrance du Bois, excellent. “Hercules and Omphale”, painted by Boucher.

I just sprayed my decant and on first sniff, Lovers smells as if Xerjoff's Erba Pura and the saffron from Fragrance du Bois' Cavort had a baby. So basically Erba Pura, but you've softened the citrus and swapped the musk out for a heavy helping of saffron instead. I must say that there's something about saffron that smells quite elegant and put together to my nose. So this scent really does evoke those feelings for me. I can't speak to the performance, just the scent as I've only just sprayed it on my wrist a few minutes ago. But it's quite a sophisticated scent that I think is a pretty easy love if you enjoy the concept of Erba Pura and also enjoy saffron.

I sprayed this on my hand in a Fenwick's at 10am, to me this is the perfect unisex oudy rose and definitely not just for special occasions, its sexy and intimate but also so fresh and clean, just very attractive, clean and seductive. i also still smelt it on my hand the next morning though it settled to a light masculine oudy woody form which was the perfect androgenous skin scent but that would be a whole other spiel i honestly haven't stopped thinking about this since i smelt it and would say if you love rose and oud you should definitely get a tester though wouldn't say its a safe blind buy if your very picky like me lmao

Hard not to like. I agree with with @nativelocal below. It shares similarities with Erba pura’s fruity musk, but also has a bit more jus. The fruitiness has more character and identifiable fruit than EP and I experience a nice passionfruit up top. There is also more class and body in the mid, and this may be the saffron note. Great projection and a a safe crowd pleasing unisex buy (if you have the cash and don’t mind wearing a bold fragrance).

Heavy jammy rose, very peppery and woody, the passionfruit I can smell but I wish it was more fruitier and closer to kajal lamar or kajal dahab. Kinda expected this one to smell more like Dahab or lamar by kajal. But I wouldn't say it smells anything like kirke, erba pura, erba gold, amber oud gold, lamar or dahab. Completely different this is mainly a rose & pepper fragrance and the fruits come last after the rose, pepper and wood.

A unisex scent that immediately grabs attention. It opens with fruity notes — you can smell passion fruit, plum, and ginger. In the base, woody notes appear, and the fragrance feels refined in every detail. It’s warm, elegant, enveloping, very long-lasting, and gives a sense of confidence.

Ya sure, this will be a 'Limited Edition' until it sells out. Then suddenly it will come back and be part of their regular stock, just like they did with Minuit Et Demi. Don't be fooled by their marketing tactics. It's a waste of your money.

Can this brand survive their pricing? Haven't tried it yet but 3.34 is not a good sign to me. 4.34 would be blind buy material but not at that price. Price is part of marketing and I guess FDB stays in that price niche unfortunately.

Gives similar vibes like Xerjoff erba pura or T.T. kirke but much much weaker. Extremly overpriced like majority of their fragrances. Top 3 most overrated brands on the market

heavy on saffron and jasmine but still perfectly unisex, one of the best from the house a would say its will work all year around, with a good performance.
