Longer-lasting, smooth, and superb smelling. This is beautiful! It is forceful, enticing, and sweet. I adore it for winter, night, and adults just since it is a masterpiece! incredibly rich, dense woods. A sharp, manly musky woodsy opening—perhaps a soft papyrus—is followed by a highly unisex spicy resinous woodsy explosion. The notes that stand out to me the most are the musk opening, guiac wood, patch, labdanum, and gentle cinnamon, clove, and cedar. Fresh, fruity, and citrusy notes dominate this scent, which abruptly screeches to a halt as olibanum and guaiac wood present and proclaim their presence. Outstanding!!!

Probably the most artistic perfume in my collection. It has some metamorphic chameleon like qualities. It's pungent oud in the opening quickly transitioning to fresh green. Very very nice fragrance. It was a blind buy and what a nice surprise. Longevity is very good on clothes lasting for days. Although I think it needs the warmth of the skin to develop. Box and presentation are the most special I've seen by far. Outdoing the amazing Nishane presentations. Outside of the box is black and velvety. Opening to reveal a jewel inside. I am as pleased as one can be.

The natural oud adds a little animalic note in the middle. It is a masterpiece, and I really enjoy it during the winter and on cold nights. woods that are powerful and luscious!

All Jubilation XXV on my end. Performance is just as piss-poor as the current batches of Jubilation. FWIW, this is €275 vs. the Amouage is now €345. Amouage runs zero promo, FDB has offered 10% and 15% off in the last year so the relative pricing might go even more in FDB's favor. But man... how do you build a scent with this profile and it can't even manage 8 hours. Need to coat myself with this to actually smell it, like 20 sprays.

Peter writing essays like he’s a purfumer smdh. Bro said it lacks opulence and I quote “oomph” smdh. I have this and he’s completely wrong. He either has a fake or his home stinks. Blind buy safe and worth every penny. Don’t listen to these negative people who judge fragrances off price. This and most others from FDB are for a particular crowd. 10 out of 10.

Oh my good God! This is exquisite! Haute perfumerie! It is sweet, it is seductive, powerful. I'm a woman and I rock this in special occasions. It makes me feel like I'm a cinema superstar such as Liz Taylor or Vivian Leigh... I don't care if it is similar to amouage or xerjoff fragrances. It is a masterpiece and I love it for winter, night, adults only!

Amazingly sophisticated and regal (and slightly oriental) fragrance profile. Very similar to Amouage’s Jubilation XXV, but for me, lower in performance vs the former. Worth a try. This is office safe and versatile for those looking for a subtle, yet a great fragrance. I will let this macerate and see how it goes. Shukran Habibi!

You use a lot of this from the bottle, and one day you put water over the rest, so you can get out of this combination Jubilation XXV. I am using them both right now, on my arms. If I have this, I don't need no more Jubilation, with the magnetic cap.

Do you want a better version of jub25? If so get this. Main difference, more woods, Less fruitiness. Slightly animalic from the natural oud in the mid for about 30 mins. Outstanding!!!

Probably my favourite from FDB. I own quite a few fragrances but I find myself reaching for this quite often and it always gets compliments.

My review is based on a sample only. Fragrance Du Bois New York Intense is supposedly, according to some reviewers online, a more upscale and upgraded clone or version of the famed Amouage Jubilation XXV Man that I haven't put my nose on yet. In essence, I'd describe Fragrance Du Bois New York Intense as a nondescript, extremely weak, faint, and subtle-smelling, overly sweet chocolate-cinnamon-oud-flavored chewing gum—more or less. I guess another apt description of this fragrance would be that it has a sweet and woodsy chocolate-cinnamon-oud scent profile. If this is an "upgraded" version of the supposedly "regal", "royal" or "bigger-than-life" Amouage Jubilation XXV Man, then I really don't know what to make of it. New York Intense by Fragrance Du Bois is no doubt a mass appeal-smelling fragrance that I'm sure will garner people's attention and appreciation, but this isn't something I'd personally wear. It lacks opulence, luxury, oomph, and complexity. Fragrance Du Bois New York Intense is a nondescript, safe, subtle, refined, boring, dull, generic-smelling, overpriced designer fragrance marketed as a niche fragrance with mass appeal but no apparent artistic uniqueness, personality, luxury, opulence, or complexity of its own. I'd say this is a fairly versatile fragrance that can be worn day and night for spring, fall, and winter. Fragrance Du Bois New York Intense is, in my opinion, a unisex fragrance, but probably a bit more masculine-leaning. It leans more formal than informal, but you could probably wear it on a daily basis as well. Sillage and projection are basically non-existent. The longevity is probably 1-2 hours on my skin. Yes, Fragrance Du Bois New York Intense smells quite nice, and I'm sure most people won't feel particularly offended by it, but in all honesty, it's not anything special. From the point of view of craftsmanship, uniqueness, and artistic uniqueness, there are many designer and niche brands that can offer you superior fragrances at only a fraction of the cost. I'm glad I purchased a sample of it. This is not full-bottle worthy, in my opinion. Final score: 7/10.

I've read your reviews, and they maintain a deplorably low level of writing skills or analysis. Your other reviews are usually as gross and crude as your attack on me. a spicy woody composition, subtly sweetened with honey. The opening carries a light fruity accord, yet the blend is so seamless that it’s difficult to pick out individual notes, everything flows together into a smooth, cohesive scent. Myrrh takes centre stage, wrapped in woody nuances with a gentle hint of oud. It brings to mind worn leather armchairs in a traditional gentlemen’s club, where the air is thick with spices, resins, and the warmth of polished wood. At times, it recalls a winter evening by the fireplace, the flames slowly consuming the logs while a faint sweetness of a honeyed drink lingers in the background. This is not a fragrance that shouts, it tells its story in a quiet, understated voice. Longevity is around six hours, with moderate projection. Despite its name, it isn’t particularly intense, rather refined and understated, like a well tailored coat.

What a surprising little scent! I got myself a decant, and in the first second after application, this perfume is very fresh and fruity and citrussy, and then sharply screeches to a halt, with guaiac wood and olibanum definitely presenting and asserting themselves. In the first half hour, an incense smell that is green at the same time, almost piny, is obvious and a flowery smell distinctly comes through. The oud is slightly noticeable but not at all overpowering, but the scent itself is very powerful with wood, resin and slightly-sweet scents being in the foreground, and a flowery freshness lingering in the back. I like it, although it would probably not make it to my favourites. Would I buy it? Definitely not for this price. ADDENDUM: It's been 24 hours since I applied the perfume, and it's STILL noticeably present.

This is a gorgeous scent. It feels like the house of FDB. Everything is pure, complex, nuanced, well balanced. The blackberry and orange notes are fragrant but not overly sweet - so refined. The oud in this is excellent, pure and strong but not overpowering or excessive. Very impressed by this oud! This doesn’t evoke NYC for me at all, but I really don’t care. I see why people think it might lean more masculine - I am male and would wear it. However, I think this could be stunning on a woman in her late 20s or early 30s - confident and very sexy. It’s somehow elegant and edgy. Really beautiful. The sillage is not very wide, which is what I’ve come to expect with the FDB lines. But the purity and mastery of craft are obvious here. I would wear this anytime. Love.

This smells pretty much like Jubilation XXV, as everyone has already said. Yes there are differences, but they are so close this pretty much feel like a clone, which I don't really agree with. I'll stick to the cheaper and original Amouage thank you.

Smells fantastically woody but not of stinky oud thankfully. I smell some fresh spiciness/aromatics in here that freshens the woodyness. Unisex. Nice but I'm not in love. Also xxxxy -

Superior smelling, smoother and longer-lasting take on Amouage Jubilation XXV. It's a pity though that they didn't bother to make it anything more than a mere clone.

It bears a certain similarity to Amouage Jubilation XXV Man, but here the approach is more restrained, mature, and quiet. While Jubilation is more expansive, with a strong presence of dark fruits and incense, Fragrance du Bois New York Intense works with these elements in a more polished and controlled way. The fruity aspect appears subtly, almost like a shimmer, the incense is cleaner, and the base is refined, without major contrasts. The result is a fragrance that doesn't seek prominence in the environment, but rather a personal aura, close to the skin. In its evolution, it doesn't present major changes. It opens slightly more noticeably and quickly settles down, following an almost linear path, only reducing intensity over time. This reinforces the feeling of elegance, but it can also give the impression of limited delivery for those expecting more dynamism. On my skin, the projection is low, about 1 hour, quickly becoming a scent close to the skin. The longevity is around 6 hours, but with a constant drop in intensity, going from medium-low to very low. In other words, although it lasts, it doesn't maintain its presence. It's a perfume that works best in specific situations: dinners, close meetings, or closed, air-conditioned environments, where the goal is not to invade the space, but rather to be perceived only up close. There's a clear idea of quiet, almost confidential elegance here. Regarding the term "Intense," I don't see a connection to projection or potency, but rather to the density of the construction and the quality of the raw materials. Even so, it creates an expectation that isn't confirmed in practice. Overall, it's a well-constructed, sophisticated fragrance, consistent with a discreet luxury proposition. However, its performance limits its use. When the fragrance doesn't project, it needs to compensate with solid longevity. When this doesn't happen consistently, it becomes more casual, almost like an after-shower perfume, even with the proposition and price of high-end perfumery.

At first i got a small whiff of cinnamon and honey, but it only lasted for a few minutes. The scent itself is quite dry, Small medicinal hints. Smells like an incense, not what I was expecting. I keep trying to study the scent but it's way to subtle. Perhaps a bit of dry patchouli & rose. Thats about it. Ps. I read the notes and I could honestly only spot a few one. The incense made more sense after reading about the perfume since it reminds me of a incense which I used to have. The incense hade both olibanum & patchouli in it.

Smells a more masculine Oriental Enigma by Alexandre J. Also same vibes as Mercedes Benz Club Black and Guerlain SDV. Nothing special.

The realm of the insufficiently intense. It smells great for the first 30 minutes or so, and is suddenly gone. It lasts about an hour.on my skin, at most. The name really pulls you in; marketing's finest hour. Thank God I only sprung for a decant. (I've never seen this brand sold in bricks & mortar stores, so I can't compare my decant to what's in the bottle.)

I agree with the rest about the Jubilation comparison. 80% similar with slightly more pampered finish and smoother blend. NY 5th avenue is waaaaay more interesting and lovely.

This is wet, like Rain Wood by Perfumer H (which is the 100 replica of fresh rain in the woods) put in with exacly that, urban streets. Dirty. The drydown on this is the best humble bedtime story you can imagine, after 5-6 hours from sprayed I get the warm spicy vibe. A bundle of numerous notes, most of them to be discovered soon, because they're sublte and not overcrowding the scent at all, not even in the opening. Masculine, dark, grey like that, humble solid I would say. So absolutely an all purpose, I think it's artistic enough to be artistic? Not artsy? And the people's wear as well, for suuure. Long story short, I think it would be the most fortunate person's first parfum. Puts the smile to my face big time because it's like it makes that more sense I 'waited' so much to actually check it out. Reviews are mostly blunt and foggy on this one as well, just because it's not a clear 'notes' fragrance. I'll for sure recognize more of the notes soon, but I luv this for now, a real smooth approach!

I keep flip flopping on this fragrance repeatedly. I get hints of it that feel super alluring and keep me coming back for another sniff. At first it’s warm, spicy, decadent, and intoxicating. Then suddenly I get hit with a slightly medicinal amber waxy scent that smells just like carmex chapstick, which throws me way back into nostalgia land as a teen trying to survive dry winters with some lip skin still attached. Next I find myself huffing my dirty laundry while I try to figure out why a shirt smells so fantastic and what the heck did I on myself because it’s so so good. Oh yeah, I remember it was this and how did I ever get carmex?? Repeated this every time I’ve worn it. What a mysterious and beguiling fragrance. Definitely worth an experience or at least worthy of sampling.

I see your Jubilation comparisons and I understand them, though Jubilation is much drier and way more mature. And for some, that's exactly what they're looking for. Personally, that scent has too stiff an upper lip for me. Where that one is matte, this one is gloss. Here, Winter vibes, delectable complex amber. This definitely has that resinous, deep richness and luckily never quite crosses over to gourmand territory; simply teeters on the edge of it. Very middle eastern vibes, like a thick berry-honey-resin brownie with a slightly cooling aura; not minty, more so fresh air. A cousin to the darkly coloured YSL L'Homme EDParfum and Guerlain's Espices Exquisites. Mis-named and overpriced are my only critiques.

Seeing what this 6°C Danube riverbank cold does to these 4 colossal puffs along the clothing line on skin, see what it does to partially exposed skin? As expected, perfectly slight dampens the Honey, just enough bringing this secondary joyful accord out and almost totally cutting out the main NY Intense like just Wet accord, which is pretty much what I get always. Way more uplifting, more jubilant. In my book it's a humble hitter and really luv the du Bois Intense line approaches.

This was so disappointing. I was hoping for it to take the Jubilation formula and amp it up but it does the opposite. After 10 min its barely detectable on the skin. It smells more alcoholic than Jubilation. This does not deserve the price it has nor does current versions of Jubilation. It seems that no house, not even the original, can do this special formula justice anymore. Its a real shame as this scent profile is special, unique and one of the best iv smelt.

It starts off exactly like jubilation which surprised me but then takes a slight turn to the more earthy side. I found it very interesting until that ugly smokey vetiver showed up! As far as the performance, it really is intense. One spray on the wrist and 4 hours later I had enough. I tried scrubbing it 3 times but I can still smell it. I’m really liking this house but I gotta pass on this one.

The opening is a little too spicy, maybe it's the cinnamon or it could be eugenol. 2 hours later though, the spice has gone (along with much of the perfume) and you're left with a sweet, resinous olibanum, honey and vanilla. After 2 hours though, there's no projection. This would be a much better perfume if the cinnamon/eugenol was toned down at the start and if it projected more.

A less balsamic Jubilation in my view with more refinement, more refined it seems to me, as it could not be otherwise when it comes to FDB. Very good! I would venture that NY Intense is between Jubilation XXV and Jubilation 40. An intermediary, but I don't say with absolute certainty, would have to use it more often, it's just a first and shallow impression through a decant.

Does not smell like jubilation. I think people need to be careful where they are sampling from. I sprayed this on my skin from the bottle in a store. Not appealing. I think this house has great quality but jubilation is a far better fragrance. This smells very odd and much more feminine than jubilation.

Sweeeet bubblegum, caramel and jasmine instantly. An equally sweet amber comes up next along with some spices, mainly clove, nutmeg and a touch of cardamom. This is probably very easily liked by a big crowd of people but nothing for me.

I agree with the other reviewers, this is 90% similar to Jubilation Man however it lasts longer and is a bit more beastly in projection. I would definitely recommend this over the newer formulations of Jubilation. Its a great scent.

It's a smoother more regal Jubilation xxv with a cinnamon boner! It's nice but you can feed a small village in Sierra Leone for a month with what this costs. Quality of ingredients is there but I'll stick with amouage

Very woody and dry. Almost only get the woods initially. Some medicinal hints. Wait a bit and it will get sweeter with the cinnamon and honey. Dries down to a Woody even smokey but classy scent.

I have this and is my favourite fragrance. Very sophisticated, manly, classy. It lasts a long time but the projection does not I think. The stronger version of this is Zegna passion I would say.

Performace is like a normal 30 euro designer perfume, even less. If you like the smell, try La Bonte Paris Essor, a beast, a unique masterpiece

Medicinal, so slightly animalic, mystic patchouli and incense. Very addicting. Papyrus, cedar. Very dry woody scent. Love it.

Amouage Jubilation XXV has been stolen. Du Bois the brand that clone other perfumes and sell them with higher price.
