Elysia Sugar Patchouli

Took the gamble as some of the reviews were quite polarising. I’ve just come in from sitting in the sun and sprayed her on warm skin and she is projecting! I think this fragrance is beautiful in a unique way, and you have to like patchouli (although it’s not overbearing in this fragrance) on first whiff the opening is Rum and Plum, as it dries down you start to smell this intoxicating and addictive deep vanilla and patchouli fragrance bubble, it’s really well blended and is deep and seductive, so if you like unique fragrances that are vanilla leaning but deeper and more intriguing then take the gamble, I paid £18 on Amazon, well worth it for something that smells far more alluring and expensive than its humble price suggests!

Since Vanilla Royale is no more and I came late to the party, can’t buy it anywhere... I decided to go for the dupes. I really like this one! I don’t like December Vanilla by Paris Corner, I think this one is more similar to the OG. I really like it! There’s some magic from the OG missing but I it kind of scratches the itch of the OG. I’m still waiting for the Angelique Extrait by Riffs, which is another dupe. But so far, I’m happy with this one!

This fragrance has an addictive quality and smells incredible on my skin. It is one of the best blind buys, but only if you like Patchouli with an element of juiciness. It is supposed to be similar DNA to Kayali's Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchoul 64, but I wouldn't know because I do not have it.

I don’t understand the low rating on this fragrance. It is boozy rich sugary and almost identical to the Kayali.

If what this is inspired by smells like this - I will commit to buying it. Beautiful ✨

Well... when I tested & bought this I LOVED it, but after a month or two for some reason I just couldn't handle how sweet it smells on application, its a lovely sugary, earthy, vanilla gourmand on dry down, but I literally hated spraying it on myself because smelling it before its settled in for an hour or so literally feels like my nostrils, mouth, lungs are being attacked by sugar, its SO. SUGARY. Like, it feels like I'm breathing in straight up stevia or something, I guess you could say "well yeah, its SUGAR Patchouli," but seriously... overall I like it I just hate the ultra-sweet and sharp opening, it smells nice & lasts long on clothes but doesn't last long on skin.

Bought this to replace "December vanilla". While it is a stronger and longer lasting alternative, "December Vanilla" has the better scent formulation as it is much creamier (and more expensive per oz). "Elysia sugar patchouli" is MUCH more patchouli-forward and is a closer clone of the original fragrance than "December Vanilla". However, if a creamy milky lactonic version of the original fragrance is what you're looking for....stick with "December Vanilla". Just be aware that you'll pay the same price for "December Vanilla" but get 1oz less juice. (The main reason I won't buy "December Vanilla" again until the price matches the 2oz bottle you get)

Bought this back in May and it was a Patchouli NIGHTMARE. Completely unwearable after two tries...so I put it away and moved on to other fragrances. Wearing it now in December and it has finally mellowed to smell closer to "December Vanilla"....though not as Lactonic as "December Vanilla". I think that this fragrance is a good middle-ground between the OG and the super-heavy milkyness of "December Vanilla". I've been wearing this instead of "DV" lately because it's more mellow and rummy, and less milky. It compliments my "Mysterious Tobacco" perfectly! Definitely worth the wait!

I'm usually not a fan of bottles that need some time but the elysia line has grown on me This perfume benefits greatly from being left to sit. I wore it all through winter last year and by the end of the season and the bottle, it was getting better. All the vanilla type and patchouli fragrances of the elysia line start to improve in the bottle after 2+ weeks. So if it throws you off at first I'd say you shouldn't immediately disregard them like I initially did. Just my experience :)

This is a lot like the inspiration, but is not as sweet or full bodied/creamy. And if you want a boozy patchouli gourmand this is your girl. Buuuuut, I will probably bite the bullet and get the Kayali Royale Sugared Patchouli.

I got this today, so it hasn't sat. But I sprayed out close to 10 sprays. I don't know if I'm going to like this. I've smelled what it's inspired by, and hence why I got this. But I remember thinking that was a lot prettier. Maybe this will evolve. When everyone refers to Grandma smelling perfumes, I often like those if they're floral. But this is what I actually think of as old lady who smokes too much, wrecked her vocal cords, has all types of junk and Nick nacks in her place, and wears too much jewelry. BUT..... she has a heart of gold and always gives to others. So really you're in awe of how cool she is.

So I wanted to try this one out in case Vanilla Royale ever gets discontinued. Vanilla Royale is my signature scent, the one I would keep if I could keep only one. Unfortunately that's always out off stock and I'm so afraid I won't be able to repurchase so I wanted to test out the dupes. This smells better than December Vanilla, that one was literally cat pee on my skin. But where's the vanilla on this one? If this is supposed to be a dupe for a Vanilla perfume, it should have vanilla in it. All I get is patchouli and spices. Disappointed. I guess I'm just gonna save my Vanilla Royale for special occasions.

This is about 75% similar to Roses Berbaranza. Please do not order this thinking it's a dupe. Sugar Patchouli isn't as bright and jammy as RB. To my nose it's more like the dry down, but still lacks the zesty parts of RB. Sugar Patchouli is sexy, spicy and I love pairing it with nag champa oil. Today I'm wearing it in 94° heat and it's wafting off of my skin and still not too much. I think it's a beautiful fragrance meant for people who enjoy exotic witchy scents like Harem Soiree. Another one that comes to mind is Mirabile by V Canto. If you're a person who smells peppermint patties in Mirabile, you'd probably like this. It's not super sweet and dripping in honey, but at the same time it smells decadent.

I’m really really enjoying this brand!? Surprisingly enough! I thought to myself hmm this is too cheap to be good!? It’s good!! 👍 I’ve tried a few. Marshmallow was good right from the go but they ALL benefit from the : spray it ten times keep cap off and put in dark cool drawer for a month method! (I’m stunned by how much im enjoying the marshmallow one I really like that the raspberry comes off more the the strawberry) Let this one sit a few weeks you’ll enjoy! I’m finding them to be very very good dupes. Decent projection spillage and lasting power!
