Picky Rose

it starts off a mess, green and earthy and sharp in a bad way.. the dry down is deep and rich and sensual, soft and warm and spicy..

I’ve own this for over a year, still unable to wear it. At first spray, it smells very good/fresh, but then it turn powdery, maybe too much oud which I don’t really like. It smells better on paper than on my skin. Haven’t thrown it away, I just spray it my room as an air freshener

My boyfriend bought this and he loves it, he said it smells just like the TM original. I tried to like it but on my skin it smells smokey and i do not like those types of scents. 😞 Its also complicated for my liking.

This is THE most affordable perfume dupe of Tom Ford's eponymous scent at the moment. I personally don't love Tom Ford pricing or marketing, even if sometimes his releases are artistically worthwhile. If you're like me, admiration for a scent is still not motivation to overspend. :) Without question, Picky Rose DOES smell like it's from that house and very quality indeed. I'm so glad it came my way! As for the scent itself, this is a mature offering of unsweetened, POWDERY, WOODY ROSE. You will not enjoy this unless you enjoy powder. Period. I love powder and have to be in the right mood to wear Picky Rose. It's strong (I like that) but not overpowering at just one spray. What little patchouli there is smells more like wood to me, somehow. This may just be my nose. The type of rose and powder and wood aren't perfectly vintage in style, and yet it clearly leans in that direction. If you've ever smelled rose-sandalwood scented talcum powder, it is like a modernized version of that to me. The slight tonka in the dry down only marginally sweetens the whole. Picky Rose is actually Great for hot nights when you wish to smell nouveau-retro. Also, calm, cool, and collected. Allure Appeal - this has nil! Choose something else if you wish to be a bombshell. :D This is not a criticism but a truism. I prefer some of my fragrances for this quality! Rating - surprisingly a FIVE. Great quality and even a lovely package with hefty bottle. Recommended.

I've not smelt the original TF but if this was anything to go by then I won't bother. I am a major rose scent wearer and thought this was worth a try. It smelt vile on me, I can't even describe how awful this was on my skin and there was no rose coming through. I gave it to my daughter who also disliked it so it was passed on to my 7 year old granddaughter who likes the pretty pink bottle.
