Proud of You Sandalo

Scent profile: In the opening, Proud-of-u Sandalo(POYS) start with slight minty, fresh, mild spicy, soft leathery/oudy with the hint of bourbon vanila. Then after 1 hr, it dry down into creamier vanilic woody with a little bit powerdy (sandalwood +vanila+cedar) scent, which is very gourmand and inviting. The vanila in this perfume is very smooth, uncloying and polish, sweetness is much toned down just like the OG and I couldn't detect the chestnut DNA in this perfume (it seem to weak), cuz Saffron, Santal and Cedar is more prominent. Overall, POYS seem to be a well-balance combination of mild oud/middle east DNA and soft sweet/vanilic vibe from SWY. I think Fragance World could do this DNA very well as they are Middle East Perfume house. Versatility of POYS is high, you could wear it daily to everywhere as the sweetness of its is not too much and projection is not beast mode type. Performance: 6-7 hr on skin and 2 day on clothes with decent performance just like SWY (note loud but very alluring)

A nice surprise! • Of all the SWY offerings, I still go back to the original (EDT) after all these years, because it's the most versatile, IMO. • That said, I went the ME clone route for some flankers, and I took a chance on POY Sandalo and POY Tobacco. • Sandalo is dominated by saffron over lavender, and a base of sandalwood and cedar. There's only a trace of chestnut. • It is among the most oriental/least gourmand scents of the line. Performance is good, ~7h on skin, all day on fabric. • My bottle smelled great right out of the box, and I expect it to improve with time. The price-to-value ratio is excellent. • Right now, I prefer Tobacco over Sandalo, as I suspect the latter to be more of an acquired taste than the former.

This is a great dupe of SWY Sandalwood. I also own the Zenith Santal (3 bottles) because I love the DNA so much and the Zenith was hard to get. This one is just as good as Zenith Santal, but so far doesn't last quite as long. I think after some time it will get better. Sandalo and Santal are much better than your touch sandalwood. Masion Asrar Librae is a great scent, but way further away from being SWY Sandalwood. 9/10.
