The Haunting Blend

I'm quite sensitive to fecal ouds and get zero animal feces vibes from this one. In fact, I feel like this interpretation of oud is quite refined. That being said this fragrance is very saffron heavy, making it also very spicy. The main players here, as in OG are Oud, Saffron and Patchouli. However, the ranks here are as follows: 1. Saffron 2. Oud 3. Patchouli compared to OG where oud and patchouli are more prominent. I also have Alhambra's dupe and I think its closer to OG, but I like this one better. The spiciness is kinda addictive and it is blended so well. I was surprised it is not in French Avenue line, since the quality is so good and it punches way above its price bracket. Just smelled this again and its insane how good this is

Nose Note #138 Honestly, I don't see much difference between this and Dior Oud Ispahan. It is as if Gucci also has some rose in it. And it also reminds of Ombre Leather. It was a blind buy and I feel disappointed because I already had like 3 clones of Oud Ispahan and am familiar with the scent If this is your first entry into this kind of DNA so just to let you know. It's very thick, very strong and quite animalic. Animalic meaning it reminds of some kind of animal feces, if you put it bluntly... It kind of smells like chicken shit, and so does Ombre Leather and the like. Leather and particular oud can smell like that. Gives off an impression of status though. And to me it's unisex and even has a feminine touch, despite the votes listed here After a few months I got a little tired of this DNA. You can't wear it daily. And it's not a crowdpleaser. Some people, my wife included, don't like it at all

A distinctive scent. The price is ridiculously low given the presentation and the complexity of the scent, but, like many fragrances from exclusive ranges, the fact that they aren’t sold on a mass scale means they end up in clearance sales. Returning to the scent: it has that hint of make-up and a slightly feminine edge on the opening, courtesy of the iris. Immediately afterwards – at least to my nose – it shifts to a leather or polish-like note to anchor some animalic notes, though nothing provocative. It’s a fragrance you won’t smell on everyone, and I think it’s ideal for a cold night out clubbing, worn with a leather jacket to accentuate the darker side of the leather – a far cry from suede, if that’s any reference. A ‘bad boy’ fragrance, but a clean one.

Definitely a unique one. At its best, it's leathery-earthy with a little patchouli spice and touch of floral sweetness in top At its worst, there's something that reminds me of melted crayons, gasoline and bandaids. I'll probably wear this to Goth night and see if I get any compliments.

Not a safe blind buy. Super heavy on the patchouli and inky dank oud, a very hefty leather too. Smells like something that might be from 1860, kinda get a bug spray smell. Please try it before hand. I think this is truly an old man scent.
