Inis Arose

This is truly lovely. I blind bought it from QVC and am SO glad that I did it. My signature scent is Chloe New, so I do love floral soapy types of scents. Not soapy like a bar of soap or handwash smell, but the clean vibrant fresh out of shower crisp smell. This perfume becomes more and more beautifully soapy as the drydown continues. The initial spray smells like any basic floral (for 10 seconds) and then it transforms into a rosey true rose oil smell type of scent, then gets sweet but not cloying, and then you start to smell the soapy fresh note (not sure what it is). It is so good for summer that I do believe I am going back on QVC to order a second before they run out. I feel like this is the best kept secret in perfumery. I know that I passed it over for a year before finally taking the plunge. It is worth so much more than what they are asking for retail. Seriously long lasting for a light airy smell, and the projection is exactly on point. You will smell this within arms length and I do believe it will leave a faint trail of awesomeness.

This truly does leave everything "smelling of roses", and that's why I love it. I have and love many fragrances, but this is absolutely my signature scent. It's perfect for a date, whether with someone new or a familiar love. Literally every man who has ever dated me has gone out of his way to compliment me on this scent. The guy I liked most even told me he "kept smelling his jacket" after he kissed me while I wore this scent. It's not really mass-marketed (i. e., you can't buy it in department or mall stores, at least not here in the U. S.), so it's also a bit more unique. My one gripe is that Fragrances of Ireland discontinued the accompanying body lotion. I really wish they would bring it back, as mine ran out a few years ago and I haven't found a scent on par with this one as far as romantic and fresh.

My nan just came back from visiting my sister in Ireland and brought a bottle of this back with her (and one for my mum). She absolutely loved Inis, and offered me to test Inis Arose. I never thought I'd be big on florals, but this is just so beautiful. I've always adored roses, and now maybe it's time for me to start wearing rose scents. It's the kind of fragrance that doesn't have an age limit; it's gorgeous on my nan, my mum, and now me.

a fresh, green, pretty rose petal witha little LOTV in the top; soft and delicate, just beautiful; as a rose lover, glad I own it; it reminds me of the scent of a rose lotion absorbed into the skin; this gets greener as it dries down, not as lush and sweet as in the top, like dried rose petals or a rose sachet in a drawer

I loved this fragrance and think I need to add it to my collection again. I bought it on a trip to Ireland with my family and whenever I smell it I'm transported back to very fond memories of my time there. Best vacation buy I've ever made!

Very pretty scent, reminds me of a crisp spring morning and the smell of flowers in the fresh dewy air. It's very "green" when you first spray it on, but dries down quickly into a nice soft rose. This is a great summer/ spring fragrance.

This is beautiful, a refreshing waterfall of dewy florals. Also disappointed with staying power though.

My first perfume! Gorgeous, flowery but really natural, not artificial at all! Love it :)

I have the 2024 rebrand called Irish Rose, a bright, crisp, aquatic-leaning rose, green and a bit on the soapy side. You get a whole bucket of sharp citrus notes on the front end--sharp, but not sour. I tend to dislike both lily-of-the-valley and geranium, but the bottle is pretty well blended and I just need to spray lightly so the soap doesn't overwhelm. I get no patchouli, no cedar, no incense, but I do get a touch of sweetness, and I was surprised no fruit is listed . . . not even green apple? Okay, fine, lol. But there is a touch of sweetness. It's very pleasing and a great value, too. If you love rose, this is a clean, fresh burst that improves (softens, citrus mellows) with long wear. Note: I'm here in the US, and purchased this from an British-goods specialty shop. The brand is Irish, and I was with family members from N. Ireland, so it was a lovely memento of our family trip.

I like wearing my spring/summer rose fragrances in June. This one is a strong rose scent with moderate sillage, so I spray it lightly. It's green and citrusy as well, which makes it good for spring or summer. The house's current rose fragrance is called Irish Rose and has many of the same notes.

Such a pretty rose perfume but then PATCHOULI. So not for me. The patchouli is just too big & drowns out the lemon, cedar, vanilla. If you like rose, lemon & patchouli, you should try this. It has good sillage & lasts at least 6 hours on my skin. I just can't get rid of this because I like the rose but I never wear it. Sits forlornly unused on the shelf.

A soapy rose fragrance with Jovan musk-style base notes- very basic and non-linear and disappointing staying power- not for me-

I get the impression of a newly cut lawn in the clean morning air, dewdrops on the petals of the roses, so beautiful, sweet and clean, you just want to breathe in deeply to capture this moment..Very beautiful, feminine, sweet and soft rose blended with Lily of the Valley. I do not get much citrus, vanilla or patchouli from it. In the drydown I get a soft musk.A very pleasant scent, can only recommend it.

Starts out very fresh, not unlike the leaves of lemon scented geranium, but melds into a creamy soft bouquet of pink and white baby roses, no sharp thorns on these roses. This could easily be mistaken for one of the higher priced Les Parfums de Rosine.(I have three of them at $100/bottle) If you're a lover of rose scented perfumes you won't go wrong with this beauty.

I love Innis Arose,another lovely scent from The Fragrances Of Ireland. I am a rose perfume lover so I was thrilled to find they made this one. I also love they have Madagascar vanilla in it,One of my favorite ingredients in perfume. If you are a rose scent lover,you will surely love this one. Give it a try.

My sister used to wear this, but says they changed the formula. I was thinking of getting her this for Christmas. Has anyone been wearing it for more than 8 years? Did it change? Have they changed it back? I know when a perfumery re-released one of my fave's it wasn't quite the same.
