Adolfo

I used Adolfo in the late 80's. All I can remember is that it was a lush floral. It might be TOO floral for today.

To me this smells like cigarettes when it’s first sprayed.

I'm reviewing the vintage cologne concentree'. Adolfo is a heady sweet floral fragrance. A little bit fruity, has a touch of aldehydes at the opening, and some subtle woody-spicy base notes. It's not a floral-oriental, but leans in that direction. It's a big bold floral fragrance, typical of the late 70s and early 80s. Very much in the style of Lagerfeld's Chloe and Oscar de la Renta. It was one of my aunt's favorites in the 80s. Too bad it's all but disappeared. After browsing Ebay and seeing the prices it fetches now, I'm glad to have my little vintage purse mini.

I wore this at my first wedding in 1978. I believe it had just come out...at least that is what the lady at the cosmetics counter told me. My wedding was beautiful and I believed I was beautiful and it was partly due to this perfume. Even though that marriage ended badly, I wish I could find this perfume because it was truly one of a kind! I am no good with notes, etc, but this was BEAUTIFUL!

Inexpensive fragrance. Used to be sold in drugstores and TJ Maxx etc. Very floral, very clean. Wore it in the early 90s and came across a bottle a few years ago and had to pick it up for old times sake. I never ware it but like having it around. Wow...just looked on EBAY and they are selling for 160-260! I gave away a bottle last year - I wish I had known!

I wore it in the 80’s and it was heavenly! I wish it could return. The house of Frances Denney is sorely missed! Interlude and all cosmetics too.
