Angel's Dust

I have fallen head over heels in love with Angel's Dust! When I purchased a sample over a year ago, it did not immediately speak to me... but I couldn't stop thinking about it, and after giving it another try, I ended up purchasing not just one full bottle, but also a back up. It's just so romantically and hauntingly beautiful. I adore Honeybun9's review below... Yes... young children, the elderly, your spouse or lover, and even pets! will be drawn to you when you wear Angel's Dust. It's sweet, powdery nature makes it cuddly and comforting, warm and alluring. However, it is deceptively innocent... There is an underlying sense of sadness, tragedy perhaps. It reminds me of when when Clark Gable's character in "The Misfits" asks Marilyn Monroe, "What makes you so sad? I think you're the saddest girl I ever met." Her character replies, "You're the first man that ever said that. I'm usually told how happy I am." Then he says,"That's because you make a man feel happy" and tries to kiss her. The perfumer's own words are intriguing: "While working on Angel’s Dust, I was studying my way into an innocent, light-as-a-feather feminine touch but at the same time seducing, daring and corrupt. The vintage, old-style twist was not voluntary but a necessary consequence of my idea of a femininity of past times, where women had a wooden boudoir and spent hours to put powder and other beauty secrets on their face and body, and didn’t care to affirm themselves through a career but would exert their power through Beauty and Seduction. Then I softened the powdery-iris-rose part by adding a mixture of resins, representing a dirty experienced sensuality. Some movies and books provided me with inspiration. Les Liaisons Dangereuses, for instance, represented exactly the sophisticated and corrupted atmosphere I had in mind! Another beautiful memory is Marie Antoinette as depicted in Sofia Coppola’s movie. I obviously like Rococo, but what I like specifically in that movie is the femininity she represents: shoes, sins, libertinage, cakes, and absolute mindlessness, without any guiltiness. Some reviewers have compared Angel’s Dust to some Guerlain mythological scents (Luca Turin mentioned Guet-Apens / Attrape Coeurs). I am honoured by such a comparison." ~ Francesca Bianchi Personally, I do not find anything "dirty" or "corrupt" about this fragrance... In my opinion the resins add multi-faceted depth and interest... like a beautiful soul that has overcome deep grief. It could be that this fragrance speaks to me at this time in my life because I'm currently enduring a time of mourning, and I've been wearing Angel's Dust on constant repeat... it has been such a comfort, a private retreat of beauty. Furthermore, I adore fragrances that also serve as “time travel" and Angel's Dust does just that. This powdery boudoir scent evokes another time and place, like a ghost from the 18th century. Longevity and strength are excellent. This is a 10/10 for me.

Remember the opening scene of Dangerous Liaisons with Glenn Close and John Malkovich? When Valmont and Merteuil are getting ready for the day? This is how that scene smells. Angel's Dust is full of voluptuous sensuality, bed-warmth, languor, enjoyment, intimacy and refinement. It starts of with a playful, but substantial slap on your nose with a swandown puff, with the ensuing cloud of pale pink powder (iris and mimosa being the dominant notes). From now on you will see the world through this iridescent halo, which is so ridiculously pretty, that it makes you giggle. Slowly the beautiful florals emerge from the haze, soft and charming, making you understand why Luca Turin thought of Guet-Apens. (Warning! If you are looking for a substitute for GA or its later avatars under countless names by Guerlain, look elsewhere. There is a connection between those and AD, but AD is substancially different!) I adore the play of the sensual rose and cool iris, it is like a witty fencing game of words á la rococo seduction. The powder calms down in a bit, but will always be the principal element of this perfume. My favourite part is the lived-in quality of AD, but this is not the pissy civet or greasy castoreum of Bal a Versailles and the other big animalics of yore. It is the natural smell of a washed (and perfumed) body, the next morning, still in bed, which is surely due to the beautiful musk used. To me, AD is a contemporary picture of a boudoir, seen through the eyes of a 21st century person, idealized but not to the point of cliché or commonplace. For lack of better word I would say, it is a very "human" perfume, close and intimate, that seems to be a common feature in Francesca's creations. Probably works best on a woman, although maybe in the appropriate moment it could be dead sexy on a man, too. Funnily, when I first wore it, the initial 20 minutes of the experience was indeed like a "flash": AD made me euphoric, I felt like sitting in a rainbow coloured bubble of powder puffs (whatever that may be), floating giggling through light-filled air. So the name may be apt, it may have some - strictly legal, yet totally magical - powers of making you high! Or is it only a perfumista's joy and elation on finding a wonderful work of perfumery art? Who cares! I love Angel's Dust with all my heart. *****

This Is G E O R G E O U S. When I first sprayed it it somehow reminded me of walking inside Guerlains boutique in Paris which I was lucky to visit a few years ago. It's so concentrated, rich and classy. It smells like it came from heaven indeed. I can’t imagine someone not liking this (except maybe when body chemistry gets in the way). It’s smooth, buttery, gentle but at the same time sooo dense. I don’t find it powdery, more floral and „waxy” as someone stated below. It never gives off powdery, dry wibes like Noa or Infusion d'Iris. I wouldn't say it's vintage or oldschool, more like I can appreciate it’s oldschool-perfume making. Ingridents are top notch. Not a lot of people saying this but for me it's a sandalwood bomb, and I know, being a sandalwood freak I can smell it from mile away. It's sandalwood done masterfully like in Bois des Iles. The creamies, dreamiest, fluffiest sandalwood - almost reminding of cat's fur. Mimosa is huge here also, but it's far from a "yellow floral" type of scent - iris comes in as quickly as mimosa and both of them dominate the fragrance, but iris is really the boss here. I can also detect quite strong vanilla (vanilla always pops up on my skin like crazy), which reminds me of opulence in Dior's Addict (pre-reformulation). I didn't understand until that point people, who wrote that Bianchi perfumes make them feel like it's their skin but better. I was always thinking "how the hell can Dark Side or other spice bombs with tons of animalic notes make anyone think that?". Now I understand. With Angel's Dust Francesca Bianchi took time to cut off on all animalics, leather and spices that are present in literally all her other perfumes. What's left is the thing that I would consider her true signature - KING IRIS in all his glory. Jewel in crown of this perfume house. The most buttery, creamy, silky, waxy iris I've ever smelled. Never done like that before. It’s like looking directly into center of the sun and finally getting it. THIS. THIS IS IT.

Let me start off by saying I am biased: I'm a sucker for anything that has 'Angel' in the name (Angel's Share, Angelique, now I had to try Angel's Dust) as I'm on the hunt for an ethereal fragrance that will sweep me off my feet. I've tried this one along with Under My Skin, Lost in Heaven and The Lover's Tale - I will get to sampling the rest of Francesca's fragrances soon enough, but I can already tell that her DNA is well, for one, definitely unique, but for two, it almost overpowers the perfumes. Musk to the max in each perfume (to me it's not *that* animalic), to the point it gets a little difficult to distinguish one scent from another, they are very, very similar. Not necessarily a bad thing, but my first impression is that you can get just one favourite from her line, anything more would be redundant. (Edit: as I grew more familiar with her scents, I can now say that it is not true. It's just her DNA is very prominent in each perfume.) But back to Angel's Dust; I was surprised how much I love it. I'm not one to go for musks typically but this scent is just so warm, enveloping, intimate, fluffy, comforting, sweet. Musk is definitely the most prominent note, but here it is done in a way I haven't experience before; neither animalic nor clean. To me it doesn't come off very powdery which I'm slightly sad about since I wanted to love a powdery perfume for once! Definitely a winter scent, given how warm it is. The opening is okay, but the dry down, around the three hour mark, is where this fragrance really shines. A favourite of the ones I've tried. Is it The One 'Angel' fragrance? Not quite certain yet but I am strongly considering getting a full bottle. Beautiful scent for sure. I see a lot of negative reviews below but musks are always risky. On me, I think it smells lovely.

Angel’s Dust is one of the top fragrances I have purchased over the past several years (and this number is not insignificant}. This is not hyperbole of any sort. I first discovered Francesca Bianchi fragrances when I read a detailed rave review on CaFleurBon about Lost in Heaven. I immediately ordered it and fell in love with it from the minute I sprayed it on. However, I will not compare Lost in Heaven since many others have already raved about it on Fragrantica and other sites too. Angel’s Dust is another fragrance rises to the same level, but it is anything but a flanker. It is a uniquely ”heavenly” blend. A powdery fragrance that invokes some of the greatest scents of a previous generation, it also has the depth and complexity that makes it modern in all the good ways. The notes are lovingly blended. On Fragrantica’s page, Iris is given the most votes ,but it is not trying to imitate Iris Nazerena although I would rate AD as high as I would this Turin 5 star. Some say the rose is strong, but it isn’t on me. The powdery moves on into a juicy syrupy blend as it unfolds over hours. I think the vanilla comes across strong fairly soon and stays there throughout the dry down. Somehow Angel’s Dust is both a natural scent that lasts for hours and a scent that evolves beautifully throughout. The powdery note is quite strong at the outset, and for those who love this note, you will not be disappointed. But it is not a beast mode. It is subtle and strong, something rarely accomplished by any fragrance, either by a big brand or a niche house. I will be wearing AD throughout the year. I don’t think it is just a woman’s scent. I love scents for their notes and blends. Get a sample. Rating: 10/10

Luminous, waxy-powdery iris. Sweaty hair and skin. Heads of lilies shedding petals, dusting a vanity with orange-colored pollen, drooping. Glamour that understands the enjoyment and celebration of life because there is always the background threat of death and decay. The clicking of high heels and the sweaty imprint of a woman's footprints left inside her pumps. This perfume told me the following story: You walk into a funeral home and see a woman laid to rest with several bouquets of lilies and gladiolas surrounding her. Her name was something else, but everyone thought of her as "Angel." She was a nurse several years ago, when they still wore nurse caps. When at home, she enjoyed her private moments of glamour, and collected bullets of lipstick and pot rouges. As her health declined, some of her objects sat on the vanity, collecting dust. Sometimes her husband would pick up a tube of lipstick and smell it. Sometimes he'd put lipstick on her when she was laying in bed, hooked up to an IV. Just about everyone loved Angel. Everyone wanted to know what it was like to be her--to know her secret. They wanted to capture her positivity and joie de vivre; she developed it as an armor to combat the pain and suffering she witnessed daily. When her daughter came to visit in the final days, she would run her finger across her mother's mirror to create a streak of clarity. To clear a little bit of Angel's dust. She sought to remove the dust and see her mother smiling in the mirror, reflecting the character back in her face again. The face of a woman who was a warrior of life, and the last face many saw before being peacefully guided towards death, their hand in hers. Angel. As she truly was.

Angel's Dust in one of my all time favorite perfumes. The magic of this scent is just indescribable. The softest, most delicate, most tender, heavenly, coquettish dust. This is almost angelic and the name suits so well. It appears ephemeral, something so fragile and fleeting, like you might just ruin it by even a slight movement, but that's just an impression as it lasts and lasts. It doesn't smell like a lipstick to me, or powder, or depressive like sometimes iris can be. Only some borrowed flashes from these inspirations. It is vivacious and bright. Divine. I currently have this on and I am beyond somewhere on the ninth cloud. It consists of the most delicate mimosas, tender, powdery iris, just a subtle sweetness and volume of benzoin and vanilla. As it dries down, it becomes more and more powdery, but never reaches chalkiness like that, for example, of Teint de Neige. It stays floating in the air all the time, never grounded. There is warmth from the musk, so it is not a cosmetic item too. I don't find it similar to Misia. Yes, the scent profile is the same, but they leave a very different impression, Misia is more serious, deep and voluptous in comparison. Misia is not entirely airy or delicate. Angel's Dust is even less similar to Putain des Palaces, that one contains leather and it makes that perfume much more erotic. This is not similar to Lipstick Rose too. Lipstick Rose is very strong on rose. Overall, I just hope Francesca Bianchi never stops making this perfume and it never has to go through horrid reformulations since this is already such a masterpiece, it would be completely heartbreaking to ruin it. +

A revisit Wow.. i still crave this scent every single day. Im on my third bottle in less than a year (sad i know) and i am just deeply in love with it. Its everything i could ask for in a modern perfume. It is sensual, warm, full, powdery, floral, balsamic and just simply gorgeous. And i am not a person who wears things for compliments, but man this gets me compliments almost every single day. Its in the same category as shalimar and l’heure bleue for me, but i think this one is less associated with ‘grandma perfumes’ which makes most 22 year olds around me like it better. And yes i still love grandma perfumes the most, but its nice that there are newer perfumes that capture the same elegance with a twist. Makes me regain hope for future perfume trends. Id love it if department stores and everyone around me smelled like this stuff instead of screechy metallic ambroxan and fake oud What i think sets it apart from guerlains classics is the very apparent lack of aldehydes and soapiness (not correlating the two, shalimar has a soap aspect without the use of aldehydes). AND it has good performance to boot. A bit hard to smell it on yourself because of the ionones, but the next day your clothes will smell as if you had just sprayed it on. Mind you i am a boy and i do perceive this as a classically feminine scent, but no one around has ever said it smells feminine. So i believe insecure in manhood men can pull this off easily. Well thats all i wanted to say. Theres so much more i fail to put into words , but thats the case with all perfect things

While reading about Francesca Bianchi’s perfumes for the first time I knew that I would fall in love them. These scents are like a poetry, true niche. This perfume is gorgeous blend of familiar notes but the result is something very unique and different. It feels like I have found it from my grandmother’s cosmetic pouch - in a good way. It makes me think the past time when women was wearing corsets and voluptuous dresses made from velvet. I think the scent is very unisex though. Angel’s Dust is a sparkling yet dusty, it’s even musty but in a attractive and addictive way. You can find amazing contrasts in this scent. It’s like a dry powder soaked in a little bit sweet ambery and musky syrup. A sophisticated sweetness is definitely not sugary or synthetic and it’s a result of balsamic Benzoin, Tolu Balsam and Vanilla which all of them together together with Sandalwood and Musk wrap Iris, Rose and Mimosa in a warm hug. It is overloaded, voluptous and glorious sensuality in the bottle, great for intimate moments whilst the soft nature to stay close to the skin makes it easy to wear anywhere you want. It leaves a mysterious sexy trail after you, it’s like a complete addiction. This was an easy and safe choice from me from FB but as these scents are really unique I recommend to sample first. Angel's Dust is a cosy, powdery scent with a nice lipstick accord at its heart. Mimosa is a key player here, and its characteristic powdery sweetness really complements the iris-rose accord that here smells like old-fashioned makeup. It is an inspired combination of notes, and the warm, balsamic amber base ties it together beautifully. Many of the perfumes marked as "reminds me of" are classic iris/violet-rose lipstick scents, but the mimosa sets this perfume apart. I love a good lipstick accord, and really appreciate Bianchi's creative take here. AD opens with mimosa, sweet yet green, somehow sparkling as well as powdery. It is closely followed by iris, enhancing the powdery quality of the mimosa. It is joined by rose, forming the lipstick accord. Cosy but strong, it envelops the wearer like a cloud. As it develops, the sweet amber base emerges in the background. Balsamic and with a hint of spice, it complements the powdery floral opening, adding rich depth. Smooth, dry vanilla enhances the powdery sweetness that permeates this scent, and soft woody notes ground it as it dries down. It becomes a slightly musky skin scent, sweet and powdery until final fade. Sillage is strong and longevity is long-lasting - the softness of powdery scents can be misleading, performance-wise, and particularly in this case, as it is an extrait. A lipstick scent with a nice twist, AD is creative, cohesive and wearable. It is transeasonal and very feminine in my opinion. Aptly named - the powder here shimmers. 4.5/5.

For a powdery perfume—even at extrait strength—this is remarkably tenacious! Two sprays lasts all day, and forever on fabric, and it doesn’t seem to lose much potency. I’ve never smelled such a plush, cozy cloud of ambered powder. It’s almost a stripped down L’Heure Blue, spices removed. This to me is an anchor or reference powder scent. Yet it’s more complex than mere powder: it’s variously sweet and sticky, bone dry and abstract. There are even moments when it smells edible. And I’d swear I occasionally detect a secret dose of gamma-Undecalactone, or peach. Jacques Guerlain would be proud of Franchesca Bianchi. Need further proof? My sister despises powdery scents. She recoils from them. I forgot this fact, applied two sprays, and walked by her. She instantly said, “THAT IS BEAUTIFUL!” Somehow it both is and is not powdery; rather, it is powdery but much more than that: I think the amberesque accord, centered around a benzoin-Tolu bomb, the touch of vanilla and sandalwood, firmly places this eternally ephemeral (oxymoron intended) beauty in the oriental category. And my sister loves that genre. I cannot recommend this artwork highly enough except to add that using it over the equally sublime Sublime Oil Bianchi sells, will place you as close to heaven as one can get on Earth. (I use the oil in my hair, too. It’s coconut-derived, isn’t greasy in small amounts, and I feel so glorious with my powdered crown.)

This is pure magic in a bottle. On spraying, it immediately took me back to growing up in the 90s and stumbling across a very old, but still nicely scented Caron powder my mom had kept since the 80s (one of those large format ones, with a big puff). That Caron powder smell really stuck with me for whatever reason and it is IDENTICAL to Angel's Dust. At first I was worried I can't pull this off: it's one thing to be reminded of something nice from your childhood, but quite another to wear that scent on yourself. Hours in though, I'm feeling more and more at ease with it, and am actually getting impatient to wear it outside! The darker resinous aspect in here is blended so well with the powder and musk, they become one and the same - in a v DENSE, only very slightly vanillic sort of way. This is strong, by the way - sprayed on my forearm and can smell it very clearly 6h later even through my sleeve...! So delighted I have this in my collection - nothing else I have right now is even remotely similar. Smelling (like) this, I want to wear only the finest silks and richest velvets, and cover myself in the most expensive, immaculate blurring face powder (only La Prairie will do). Ah, Angel's Dust... You are what powdery dreams are made of. EDIT: Wore it out for a date and the guy complimented it twice! Once in person and once later, via text 😂👌

This perfume brings back a double soul in me, both deserving of its evocative name. Initially the fresh notes of tolu balsam take me back to the 1970s and the association of the name with the hallucinogen popular at that time. It reminds me of a room saturated with incense with little bottles and ampoules of ointments scattered everywhere, almost as in LUSH's Lord of Misrule, perhaps also because of the presence of the peppery note. At the same time, the other soul recalls the literal meaning of "angel dust": the impalpability of the perfume makes it feel like an ancient nectar, veiled in dust. A lady from another era appears to me, surrounded by antique boiserie, powdering her face delicately. The combination of these two very different souls brings me back to a gothic, decadent, refined image: that of the statue of the Angel of Grief in Rome's non-Catholic cemetery. The vanishing of the scent is converted into still marble; the peppery balm becomes sacred liturgical incense; the star flowers of the fragrance (iris, rose, and mimosa) are the flowers lovingly cared for by those who guard the cemetery with dedication. The scent of an ancient soul, veiled in dust and incense, still but alive like the sculpture of an angel watching over the flowers.

This is currently my favorite perfume. I don't really understand powdery as a descriptor. Yes, it does smell like extremely expensive vintage cosmetics, which I guess themselves are powdery. But even then, it's it's much more waxy lipstick than powder puff. The cosmetic element does make me feel clean and fresh. Hair done, nails done, everything did. New dress. Crisp and soft ans sexy. But at the same time there is something very earthy and sensual. It deludes me into feeling like I could just smell like this naturally. This duality is what makes Iris/Orris so wonderful. Lots of Bee vibes. I'm getting beeswax, royal jelly, pollen. Everything but the honey! This is not a gourmand, but I want to eat it. The resins definitely smell like resins but also like dense sticky molasses cake with creamy glaze? My husband says white chocolate. There is the faintest hint of Old Book: leathery, spicy, woody, sweet glue, and almost dusty. Definitely adds an element of the unexpected. My only complaint is that it's not the powerhouse some said it was. I was expecting to have to moderate my sprays, but I'm finding I need to overspray. I'm going through the bottle fast! Contemplating getting the oil to layer with it. I need more.

The ultimate in the realm of powdery, lipstick-inspired scents. Despite belonging in this category, Angel's Dust is extremely voluptuous, full-bodied, one is almost tempted to say juicy. Make no mistake, this is not a quiet, understated scent. You can fill a very large room with this, and I've smelled it happen. You are likely to enjoy this if you liked ELDO's Putain de Palaces or Malle's Lipstick Rose. The former is more animalic and powdery, feels somewhat flatter; the latter is brighter, a little more modern and more floral. Angel's Dust clearly surpasses both in terms of sillage and longevity. As with all of FB's fragrances, the value is unbeatable for the concentration (extrait) and sheer quality. I actually like that it comes in only 30ml. Especially if you have a vast collection, huge bottles that will inevitably turn before they can be used up make no sense. You should never use more than 2 sprays of this anyway – your presence will be felt at the very first drop, and anything more would be in bad taste. Despite this being the most pronouncedly feminine offering in FB's collection, be sure to try her other perfumes if you enjoy Angel's Dust – they all share a signature 'atmosphere'.

Sweetly sensuous, delicate, ethereal and unabashedly feminine and pretty, this fragrance is pure heaven for lovers of powdery sweet scents. The texture of this fragrance to my mind is soft and pillowy like eiderdown encased in blush pink silk. Angels Dust belongs to the same perfume genre as Citizen Queen; Eldo Putain de Palaces; lipstick Rose and Misia being an iris and rose centric fragrance with lashings of powdery notes that give a vintage makeup or baby lotion vibe. Having tested them all, being on a quest for the ultimate comfort perfume in these dark times, this and JHAG Citizen Queen are my definite favourites. In my opinion this fragrance isn’t remotely raunchy or sexual in feel, it doesn’t conjure up images of the boudoir but rather is angelic, innocent and deeply soothing and comforting like a mother’s loving embrace- a balm for the soul. This is alchemy of a sort, even more than in the sadly now discontinued Citizen Queen, Francesca Bianchi has managed to perfectly distill the gorgeous scent that emanates from the nape of a new born’s neck. Sweet, fuzzy, warm and musky, mmmm, so intoxicatingly lovely you could just eat them.

This is such a sensuous perfume. I received it as a surprise sample from Lucky Scent. I knew nothing about this fragrance prior to receiving it. Reading the notes, I was happy to see that this will be the second fragrance I tried using a mimosa/iris combination that I've come to love in Bvlgari Spendida Iris. Well, this is another one to love though it has a different feel. This is a romantic, powdery boudoir after a steamy bath kind of scent. Softly resinous, ambery, musky, animalic, and powdery, but also feather light, like the dust you see floating in the air after you powder yourself. It also has a beautiful rose, a delicious vanilla, and a pinch of black pepper. While this is not heavy or overly rich, it is no lightweight as far as performance is concerned. This is an extrait after all, and a few dabs from this sample gave beautiful, surrounding silage. Though airy enough where it can be worn year-round, my favorite time to wear this kind of scent is coming up. With cold weather right around the corner I'm suddenly craving powdery scents. This will be one of them, possibly with the accompanying sublime oil too.

When I first tried this the mimosa was so overwhelming that I didn’t give it a fair chance, scrubbed it instead. I revisited it probably more than a year later, gave it a full and proper wearing and fell in love. I still struggle with the mimosa in the opening, but the mid and dry down are gorgeous. The more I wear it, the more I love it. The opening is a very dense pollen-y mimosa. There’s more there, but it’s hard to parse out the rest with the overwhelming mimosa. As the mimosa starts to calm down a mostly creamy, but somewhat powdery Iris comes in, mixed with benzoin and vanilla that gives it a slightly gourmand, almost like a buttercream frosting scent. There is still a lot off pollen-y florals...mimosa, rose, some white floral...can’t put my finger on it, and underneath it all is some sandalwood and something spicy. As it moves into the dry down the iris becomes slightly more powdery, the sandalwood pops a bit more, and a somewhat animalic musk moves in, the pollen-y florals and spice remain, but are much more toned down. Such a sensual scent. Beautiful!

Oh my. Sexy with a tease of demure. If you are a lover of cosmetic powdery scents this is bliss. Upon initial opening it reminds me of Valentino Poudre and then gets really sweet on my skin and then it morphs into the most heavenly mimosa, iris, sandalwood with a splash of vanilla. It's a bit sweet, but not overly done. Shushkin below described this creation perfectly. In the late 90's there was a fragrance called Soliloquy that was my beloved signature fragrance. It has since been discontinued and the last few remaining mls that I have left has gone off. But the drydown between it and Angel's Dust is the closest I've ever come to smelling anything that comes close. This stunning creation brought tears to my eyes. Quality craftsmanship is evident. Purchased full bottle, fingers crossed this isn't discontinued for a very long time.

Francesca Bianchi is such a talented artist: if her fragrances were signed by any of renowned old men of the industry, people would be falling head over heels with their ingenuity and originality all the time, no questions asked. Since she is a beautiful woman, things are a bit more tricky. She has nevertheless talent comparable to that of Dominic Ropion, who like her creates compositions which are demanding and trying. They require an adjustment, in stead of pleasing. My only problem with being her customer is that I can hardly imagine a day in my life when I would be perfect enough to wear her fragrances. I mean, they make me think of lush bedrooms, silky skin and perfect life, that I don’t currently have and never will. Angel’s Dust is one of these smells: it’s nostalgic about era of meringue mansions, marble staircases and spotless chandeliers, and mostly something that probably never existed. If this is not pure artistry in perfume making, I don’t know what is.
