Sex and the Sea

I have finally been able to try FRANCESCA BIANCHI'S SEX AND THE SEA. I was surprised, because it was unexpected. I was expecting to find myself before an animalic, sweaty and dirty-cheeked entity, and here I find myself with an Oriental Buttery of a lifetime, very easy to interpret, to perceive, to smell and to wear. Fragantica's fact sheet places it in the Floral Amber Olfactory Family. Amber, what is said amber, it carries; and of the sweet honeyed overwhelming variety. What are we going to fool ourselves. And flowers, what they call flowers, are also present; namely, rose, red jasmine of the non-animalic variety, ylang ylang, a touch of tuberose and a sparkle of gardenia. But all of this is perfectly blended and structured. So much so, that it almost doesn't seem floral, at least, what is meant by the typical feminine floral perfume. If anything characterizes this Oriental Powerhouse is its sweetness. A sweetness that borders on the sweetness of vanilla; coconut oil; exudative resins of sandalwood and amber; buttery red and thick, but not indolic, flowers. A sweetness that borders on gourmand, but without being cloying. And this is something very difficult to achieve. Coconut, one of the most commented notes by several reviews, does not appear in my nose until well into the development of the perfume. And SEX AND THE SEA is a rather monolithic perfume with little development. But it is an oriental coconut, not the coconut variety of sunscreen or youth perfumes, just as its vanilla is not the supermarket vanilla, stubborn and plasticky. In this fragrance, coconut and vanilla, almost do not seem so, since they are assembled in a kind of sweet ambery sandalwoody sandalwoody buttery butter, which makes them detectable but not protagonists in a prima donna way. Everything remains compact and homogeneous. The official data sheet on the author's homepage states that it contains civet. Well, by now everyone knows that it is synthetic civet, but it is true that occasionally there is a breeze of strong breath, not unpleasant, but as of a very well treated and medicated gingivitis, but still produces slightly serous reflux. In any case, nothing unpleasant. Quite the contrary. We have all experienced at one time or another that slight aroma of something fecal, urinary or sweaty, which does not repulse and is even attractive, But for that, the lightness, the bearable lightness of being perfumed, has to be very well balanced with the rest of the notes. Its wake and performance are undaunted and apocalyptic. Try it before you hit the finger spray like crazy, because it can give you a lysergic and hallucinogenic syncope. I would have called it THE CALL OF ISHTAR, much more in keeping with its ritualistic air of esoteric secrets, than with the name SEX AND THE SEA, more typical of a summer porn movie.

A brief scroll through the comments: How can people wear this in warm weather? Horrible smelling, connotations with urine, coconut, or sex. These are all superficial ideas that might go through your head. This is niche perfumery; this is art and emotion in a bottle. If you are searching for an instantly understandable and basic perfume, why are you sampling this? Are you even interested in developing your taste and nose? I think you are doing yourself a disservice by trying to pigeonhole this fragrance into labels like "beach scent" "suntan lotion" or other words to put down something you don't want to take the time or effort to understand. I bought this 30 ml bottle blind because I liked another fragrance of hers. I wore it the first "full wear" with almost 40 degrees Celsius. Went for a walk. I was amazed by the layers and the wild twists and turns this had. As the hot wind blew, it showed different textures than when I stood still in a cooler shaded area. As I smelled it up close i could feel how dense and yet playfull and easy-wearing it was radiating of my skin. I actually gifted my original bottle of this to a friend after I bought my 100 ml bottle. I thought he would like it because he was looking for something "niche" and something with pineapple. So I told him, just put this on, don't form any opinions, just wear it for a couple of times. If you really dislike it, I will take it back and maybe give you something else. When I asked him some weeks later what he thought of it. He just said it is like nothing he currently has and that he liked it but didn't really know how to explain it. I could understand his feeling, I still don't really understand this composition myself, but it is something special. Any time I think, Okay, now I know how to describe this scent. I discover something new. That's why this has excellent longevity. Say it with me: Scents that keep shifting keep your nose from going "nose blind". We all smell different things, so I don't usually like to focus too much on notes. Those that currently stand out for me are the sour aspects balanced against salty aspects. This creates this oily effect like a vinaigrette or warm skin that is just beginning to sweat. The immortelle and mimosa give this yellow sweetness that balances against the buttery Bianchi signature. This fragrance is a weird and unique blend. P.S... If you are sampling anything from this house, be aware that these extracts can sometimes oxidize and smell a bit off with the first sprays. After you clear the "tube" and atomizer is when you really get how the notes balance out with each other.

When Sex and the Sea first came out in 2017, I didn’t really get it. People I really respected as reviewers loved it but I just figured it was one of those perfumes that just wasn’t for me. It wasn’t my kind of notes and I rarely like any sort of beach type of fragrance. But since then, I developed a real love for Francesca Bianchi’s creations and after smelling Sex & the Sea Neroli and going crazy for it, I decided to revisit the original and see if I felt any differently. And it was like smelling an entirely different fragrance, not only did I like it, I think I like it even more than the Neroli one and it’s now possibly my favorite of all of her perfumes (and I love them ALL). It just took a while to get there. I think some perfumes just require more experience to appreciate them, along with a knowledge and understanding of the perfumer’s work for it all to fall into place. Sex and the Sea is not a typical “beachy” fragrance, it’s not fresh nor does it smell like anything you expect in a beach scent. It smells more like warmed skin in the sun, salty and sweaty, with the scents collected throughout the day, like spilled sweet pineapple cocktails, flowers blowing through the air, and the smell of a lover. It smells like bodies and skin and perfume left over from earlier in the day. It’s so hard to explain this perfume but it’s almost so personal feeling it makes me blush during some points but other times it feels almost old fashioned. It’s extremely complex yet comes across somewhat simple initially. You can toss the note list out the window because it does not smell the way you expect those notes to smell. This is NOT a classic beach type of fragrance no matter how it may sound. It’s much thicker and heavier than anything like that and way sexier than any of those ever are. And it’s not really about the beach as much as it’s about what happens between two people at the beach and how their combined scents might smell. It feels extremely personal. But there are also these beautiful floral facets to it that almost feels like a vintage scent at the same time. It’s impossible to describe exactly how it smells and it’s certainly not for everyone. I would call it challenging especially for those who may have more mainstream tastes. But at the same time, it’s a compliment monster on me, I guess it just works with my chemistry. I’ve had strangers ask me what the scent was and for some reason people tend to think it’s some sort of cream if that tells you anything about it. It doesn’t smell like “perfume” it just smells fascinating, like a story, and you want to know more.

My initial sprays from this gave me quite the overwhelming feeling - i was met with a pungent cloud of fermenting, rotting even pineapple and coconut with strong animalic undertones. Spraying a few more times and leaving the bottle to breathe for a few days while i was testing another fragrance, seems to have transformed the juice into more of a fresh Piña colada, with just a touch animalic and very notable musky young woman skin that have just emerged from taking a swim in the sea and is now drying under the sun, which is a clear sign of the quality of ambergris recreation in here (despite what is claimed, ambroxan smells nothing like real ambergris, while here the note is very realistic). The powdery florals, the resins and the labdanum/sandalwood combo are very much in the background during the opening, but in the drydown the combination blends into balsamic ambery sweetness, merging with the still very present pineapple juice, coconut cream, ambergris to create a wondrous sensation - imagine the above described sunbathing woman skin after she has spilled her freshly made pina colada over her chest, stomach and thighs, and instead of wiping it off she just left it to dry on her skin. Despite using a young woman in my example, i would stills ay this is pretty much a unisex scent - mostly because of how strong and bold a lot of its presentation is - something not typically found in female centered perfumery. Overall, i would say this is another masterclass in artistic perfumery by the house of Francesca Bianchi. Not for everyone - if you aren't a fan of coconut and pineapple notes, this will be very hard to stomach, as they can be quite pungent here, especially on initial few wearings, before your nose can adjust to them and start getting more of the other ingredients. This is what vastly inferior fragrances like Invictus Victory Elixir aspire to be, but are not even close to being on the same playing field. As a fragrance enthusiast - absolutely worth owning. Just careful with the sprays if you are going into crowded spaces, as you might send someone into a pina colada induced coma.

The first note that hit me was a little hard to place, but I searched and searched my mind until I finally concluded it smelled exactly like fresh dill. I was pleased that this somewhat grassy and sour note faded *very* quickly to reveal a masterpiece. The dry down blossoms into a sweet, warm, slightly powdery scent that is absolutely marvelous. The dill has transformed into tangy pineapple. The creamy coconut is not overwhelming or heavy as it is rounded out by 'fluffy' notes, namely the iris-benzoin-vanilla combination (which is delightful). The ambergris, my favorite note of all time, is like an orange velvet ribbon that ties the entire fragrance together. I cannot speak on projection or longevity yet as I've only a sample bottle that I've just applied, but as far as I can tell this is a scent meant especially for the wearer to enjoy, or to be enjoyed by others who are close to the wearer. It is intimate. It is soft. It is seductive. The name "Sex and the Sea" couldn't have been more perfect. As an avid lover and wearer of perfumes, I do not say this lightly: I may have finally found my signature scent. Blind buy safe? Based on other reviews, no. In my personal opinion? Get a sample like I did. I am so pleasantly surprised by this one. Love at first sniff- such a transformative scent- I almost cried. Can't wait to explore more by this perfumer and get my hands on a full bottle of this one. 1,000,000/10. Update: bought a full bottle hours after receiving and applying my sample. That's how beautiful this scent is. I can't stop smelling wear I applied it on my arm. I'm in love.

Making my way through the sample kit. It's so interesting how different Sex and the Sea seems to be on everyone! I was expecting it to be really animalic based on how divisive the reviews are. But trying it now, I find it so fluffy and easy and pleasant. I'm surprised! It starts out very sunscreen-y (which I like, but I know isn't for everyone). Oily, coconutty, milky. And then the flowers spring up. At first, it's unclear what's happening. What kind of flowers? Or is it fruit? What's happening? And after a few minutes, you stop asking "what," and you give in to the "why the hell not." After a few hours, it's floral and woody, with just a soft waft of coconut still in the background. Divine! Like I mentioned, I'm a fan of sunscreen-y scents, so in the summer, I am a devotee of Margiela's Beach Walk. And I've tried others (ERL Sunscreen by CDG, etc), but I thought I'd just never really find another one that was good enough and different enough to warrant having two sunscreen-y scents. But! S&TS might be it. I could see wearing BW with my family and S&TS with my lover. It's a more adult, complex alternative to BW, for the days when I want to remember that I'm a red-blooded human, not just a sunkissed carefree kiddo. Let's see what further wears bring, but it's looking promising... Update: going to get the Sublime Oil version.

Sex and the Sea epitomises exactly what it describes; it aims to implant in your mind the idea of not only the soft, salty warmth of your skin after a dip in the sea, but the sweaty, sticky nature of a sexual encounter on the beach. It’s absolutely stunning, and brings this idea to life perfectly. Most prominent to my nose, is a cocktail of various tropical fruits giving the scent an almost gourmand quality - pineapple and coconut combine with gentle florals of mimosa and Imortelle here. Obviously, there is a hefty dose of ambergris which provides that intensely salty facet, amplified by a whisper of filth from civet. All of this rests on a soft, sweet skin-like feel which can only be resonating from a subtle sandalwood and Amber accord. It’s absolutely brilliant. I couldn’t think of a better name to encapsulate a scent which smells like a hot sweaty sexual adventure by the sea - the salty spray of the water combined with the filth of our primal desires is daring, but ensnaring. I love it.

I'm a little surprised that this one has the lowest rating in the Francesca Bianchi line; personally I find it the easiest to wear. Everything seems to be highly chemistry dependent and luckily for me, both Sex and the Sea and the Neroli version work very nicely on my skin. I do not detect significant differences between the two, besides the sharper floral opening. Original Sex and the Sea feels more linear throughout for this reason, and is maybe slightly less smooth afterwards. Both balance a slightly greasy, sunbaked skin smell with a very natural beach bar type thing going on in the background. I'm generally a fan of the beachy scent genre and it's very different from anything else I've tried. There's something bread-y and edible about it that I haven't found in anything else that feels this suitable for hot weather. Good throw and longevity without giving me a headache. It's really a great workout perfume or for any time your body temperature will be going up.

This could have been an easy summer, suntan lotion type of scent, but this is so much more complex and interesting than that. Fruity, tropical and warm, the pineapple and coconut are there, with a slight touch of sandalwood and iris. I can also smell the immortelle, which brings a beautiful Hot sand accord on my skin, this blend immediately reminds me of summer and good times. This opening is the "Sea". The mid gets musky, cozy and warm. It becomes saltier, slightly "dirtier" also, thanks to what I think is the civet and the ambergris combo. The "Hot sand on skin" effect is still there, but with a touch of sweat added. This is interesting, because the scent doesn't change much but this carnal touch changes a lot the profile of the scent, and the mid becomes the "Sex". The drydown( which comes after hours and hours... Serious performance) is really lovely too, more animalic and less "beachy", with a slight ressemblance to ELDO Secretions Magnifiques.

What a great summer scent i have found here! Probably my favourite one! It goes in the same línea than other fragances like intense tiare by montale, with a Big load of coconut and other tropical vibes (pinneaple in this case) over a sweet basement of oriental Resines and Woods. I have seen some revies talking about the excesive price for a summer coconut fragance, and It is true that here you find like a suncream coconut smell... But this is one of the good and expensive obes! For me are worse all these citric and oceanic fragances which last less than one Breathe and cost even more than this. Sex & the beach is not cheap but i think It worths the money if you like the smell. It lasts for hours with a good sillage. It doenst proyect very far but youbcan feel the creamy aura around you all the time. I feel the scent very natural and, yes, It is a bit like a piña colada smell,but is nice!! I find It unisex and... Very very sexy!!

If you see Coconut and Pineapple and you think you're going in for a synthetic sunscreen mess, or a cheap pina colada, you'll be surprised. The coconut here smells exactly like coconut oil. It's oily and transparent and crispy, and certainly not sweet. The pineapple is juicy and also not sweet at all, just a bit tart. There's absolutely no sign of the synthetic pineapple in let's say Creed or the synthetic coconut from suntan lotion. Usually coconut and pineapple would overpower everything else in a perfume, but here they are just there, playing background to the mimosa, the immortelle, and the sweaty ambergris. The very mild sweetness here actually comes from a tiny note of benzoin and vanilla. It doesn't smell exactly like sex, nor the sea. If you're looking for a sea breeze or a seaweed, there's absolutely none of that here. But somehow "sex and the sea" is the perfect name for it. It's sweaty, briny, natural, sensual.

This takes me by surprise since I always hesitate when things lean towards the beachy vibe. Although coconut note tends to give me headache, this one here is so beautifully blended. It manages to balance itself well in most territories on my skin. It's powdery in one moment but the creaminess tames it down. It's salty, yes. But the sweet notes calms it to the point where you don't feel like you're getting sweaty and greasy at all. It also radiates the coziness that makes people around you want to get closer and snuggle up. In my opinion, it's softer, less piercing and less cloying than Sex and the Sea Neroli. I have to point out though that it has Francesca Bianci DNA all throughout her creations so you might feel familiar if you have another perfume from this brand. An easy 8 hours+ for me and people can smell me from metres away. 5 sprays are almost too much.

It smells exactly as it's monologue on francesca's website describes. Bianchi's signature animalic (yet very skinlike) notes are there, acompanied by a cold and salty breeze of seaside wind, zingy pineapple and fluffy coconut. It doesn't smell like a tropical drink though. It smells of clammy skin just emerged from the ocean still vaguely smelling of tanning lotion. Sticky pineapple juice and a warm sunset. Even though i love it as i love every FB creation it seems. It is a tad too fruity for me to wear. I don't normally like wearing fruity fragrances. And even though this cannot be classified as such. That pineapple is just a bit too obvious for me. I wil add though that without it, this fragrance would't have fitted the concept like it does. I just love smelling it more then i love wearing it. :)

Wow.. i am impressed! Iris, Coconut, Vanilla, Ambergris (like the one in O'hira") & thank GOD there was no aquatic, metallic, or watery notes here. It has that delicate sweet coconut iris that captures the senses for iris lovers, but i don't sense any sea, beach, or seaside vibes! & i wonder why she included "Sea" to that! although i was anxious that it could contain salty, seashells. or sea notes as it will ruin the blend, but gratefully it doesn't. In my opinion this should be called "I'll Seduce You", "Resist me Not" or "Surrender Your Obstinacy" if it's minor expression, and would be "luminous Desire", "Spiritual Seductions", or "Rhapsody" when it'll be on the sexual imaginative. Eventually, this is one balanced blend with an amazing quality, and superbly arranged notes.

I am at a somewhat hung over breakfast with a gorgeous silken skinned man who I should have trapped into marriage somehow....we are in Airlie Beach Queensland Australia, it’s hot and humid. We roved around the previous night, running up the hill chasing a nightbird in the pale moonlight which made magic and haunting sounds, Back then I only used Mitsouko. And I woke up drowsily with my magic Empress still on my skin and ready to make another indelible memory. We opened Sydney Rock oysters...actually they were probably Pacific up there,...The crack of the briny shell, the slippery, briny, algae smell and feel, the dusty eroticism, the sweet coconut and vanilla and a slight tang of beachy rot....why, I bought a back up bottle...masterpiece for me...

Very unusual in the best way. It seems to be perfectly unisex to my nose not learning to much in either direction. Probably has to do with skin type more than anything. I am very lucky to have a fragrance loving skin type most frags blend with my skin very well and have very respectable to extremely good performance. I usually pay no attention to seasons when choosing a fragrance to wear. This one however just screams late spring to summer only to me. The tropical open the summery floral heart and the warm sun baked dry down. SATS has some awesome staying power it just doesn’t quit on me, partly due to this being completely out of my wheelhouse. I now own the perfect fragrance if I ever attend another luau.

I never thought I would be able to like a fragrance containing both pineapple and coconut accords. This proved me wrong. Although it seems to be highly personal, for me the animalics are in just the right balance with the 'innocent sweet notes'. And it's only heavy if your summery reference frame is citrus colognes - this one is really rather mild for an amber perfume. Sex and the Sea evokes a mental image of a sweltering day at the beach finally nearing sunset and the promise of a cooling breeze, your skin still salty and sticky, feeling sensual and alive in your happy warm sun-tanned body.

This is a challenging scent. What I mean by that is it takes one with more advanced olfactory senses to truly understand it. I tried it three times, spaced out by months to a year, and it didn’t fully ‘click’ until the third time. Once I was able to understand it, she became a love. This is truly unique and special. I’d say it evokes a balmy and dewy aroma. The coconut is dense but not ‘pina colada’ sweet. The iris and vanilla really reign it home for me. I actually enjoy wearing it in fall/winter because I find the iris, vanilla, and myrrh to shine more on colder skin.

This is a very polarising perfume. Some people hate it, some people love it. For me, when I first smelled it, I found it revolting. Then I smelled it again about a year later, and it's been one of my favourites ever since. It epitomises the height of summer. It evokes so well the smell of salty, sweaty skin after you've put on sunblock and gone for a swim in the ocean. I love the heat of summer, and this perfumes transports me there and makes my eyes roll into the back of my head with pleasure of it. If you hate it, may be give it another go some time. ;)

Francesca Bianchi’s fragrances are pure class, across the board, but I have to be in the right mood to wear them. This one is no exception. It really is that humid, sticky and hot day in late summer, absolutely perfectly captured. I mainly get an overripe pineapple, on the verge of rotting, wet coconut, salty/sweaty skin and hints of floral notes. On top of that a female crotch that has been trapped inside tight pants the entire day, in tropical climate. It’s quite perverted. But very good, for what it is. My 30ml bottle will last a long, long time...

This summer I loved it and then slowly started to feel too powdery too me. Almost even smelling like an ash tray to me and very cloying I've started to wear it this Fall when it's 50 to 70°. And I fell in love with it again. Although the notes here are seemingly tropical, for me it works better for the fall. This is an incredibly sweet fragrance in my opinion. Almost gourmand. I stopped doing 3-4 full sprays and switched to 1/2 sprays instead. Otherwise it's too powdery, and too much civet. I've learned this is best sprayed lightly. Very sexy

That first spray is an instant love. I live near banyan trees and it totally reminds me of them. They smell so yum. But after 30min, if i lean in and really smell i can understand why some people wrote reviews that it is like urinal cake. It has a sweetness and brightness and projects well but from time to time i wonder if it is stale and went off. But the honey comes back into focus. Dry down is honey which I really like and something else ??? oh i know those glade scent plug it ins with time release. Man this brought back the memories

Now this perfume has a character. Haven’t smelled anything like Sex and the Sea, I really think it’s a unique perfume especially for the summer. Smells tropical, kind of sweet with a little bit of “freshness”, little bit animalic that’s what makes it unique. This is perfect for summer both day’n night. I don’t know I think it smells sexy and reminds me of summer in Montenegro for some reason 😅 Don’t blind buy this since it really smells different on every skin, I really recommend it to try it. Excited to wear this one on vacation ☺️

I’ll not be tired to say I love Francesca Bianchi fragrances, Sex and the Sea is a “sun tan lotion” like fragrance, I do pick up the tropical notes like the coconut and the dirty pineapple with the yellow flowers, it’s kind of difficult to pick up other notes but they are present, to me after the opening smells like the way that the vanilla extract for cooking tastes and I love it, a sun fragrance only for when you gonna be under the sun all day on the hottest day of summer!

When I wear my headset, turn the TV on, the volume at its highest point, my mouth is open, and my eyes are sparkling from watching an Apichatpong Weerasethakul movie, I’m motionless and frozen because I’m absolutely mesmerised. This is the exact sensation I had the 1st time I wore this scent. Overripe pineapple and a sweet coconut note are negated by salty ambergris and civet. The net result is pure magic that whenever I wear, I wanna go watch Tropical Malady all over again.

Another update on my review of this fragrance, this is a really intriguing and different piece of creation of Francesca Bianchi. Tropical, coco, sweet gentle fruit, animalic musk, the notes develop under a sand/musk cloud that goes along the duration of the fragrance. Theirs is a point along the interaction with this fragrance that the vanilla shines after a time with a little of sandalwood. For a day under the sun, works great with the body heat, sweat and musk.

The name's summed up everything on this small bottle with huge potent juice inside. Juicy but creamy from pineappleand coconut, sensual but breezy from ambergris, immortelle, and iris, sweet dose from vanilla and labdanum, but also animalic civet, and flirty but comforting floral woody concoction. Complex. You only need 2-3 sprays in your neck and boom, filled the room! Two thumbs up for @francesca_bianchi_perfumes

this is a real niche fragrance. it is not marine, but the fresh ozone at the beginning smells fruity and something strange. after 4 hours, the skin smells like a sweaty man, a strange fragrance, but women like the pleasant trail after 30-50 minutes on a man's skin. there is no coconut here. there is no perfume like this one. attention will be paid to you. But it is difficult to wear it. 9,9/10

yummy! a tropical scent done in the vein of piña colada with a sweaty lovers skin underlying with the fuzzy animalics here. There’s plenty of ambery warmth here but it doesn’t come off resinous despite the notes chosen. This is like a lovers vacation on a warmly humid night as you sip fruity cocktails by the shore. Just a gorgeously hazy take on a fruity tropical with a slight animalic edge.

The fragrance begins with a bouquet of fresh and citrus notes, which evoke a warm and uplifting atmosphere. As the fragrance progresses, it develops a salty and maritime influence, evoking the feel of the ocean breeze and the hidden depths of the sea. This aquatic element is further complemented by a warm ambergris aroma and a hint of musk, which adds depth and texture to the fragrance.

the biggest mistery to me is how some people smell pickle here. to me it’s a very sweet, elegant, addictive, seductive fragrance. coconut and tropical fruit are mostly dominant, but it’s definitely not the coconut you’re used to smelling. honestly can’t even decide if i like this or the neroli one better. this one surely is more creamy, more sweetly intoxicating

At the beginning I didn’t understand/appreciate it until after one hour it was much better. I don’t know about stories or inspirations but for me I get fruity vanilla accords. Suitable for all seasons with good performance in terms of longevity & projection. I can still clearly smell it on my arm 7 hours after applying. The only downside is the 30ml bottle.

Testing my sample; sun-heated and sweaty skin covered in coconut and pineapple skin oil, then covered with a resinous body powder after a long day of sunbathing. Very strong, but would wear perfectly in the spring and summer because you need body heat to convey the effect this perfume gives. Definitely full bottle worthy.

Truly the most sensual scent I’ve ever worn. When your skin heats up, or my skin anyway, it smells like a lush tropical drink and pure sex. It lasts forever and pulses off the skin in the most incredible projection. Bianchi must be concocting these elixirs with witchcraft. This is a lust spell born to fruition.

I do not get the "crotch" smell many people seem to be getting. I get wonderful sweet fruits and tropical flowers through the entire life of the fragrance. Also, I get 4-6 hrs of strong projection then it fades a little but I can still smell it on myself. I love it for the summer or for vacation!

Love it or hate it, I personally adore it: a dirty, greasy, unapologetic tropical fragrance—brilliant yet stubbornly sticky. Beneath the riotous, chaotic fruitiness, a subtle powdery veil lingers, giving it depth and persistence. It's audacious, slightly unhinged, and utterly unforgettable.

Beautiful, creamy, salty, floral and delicious in the summer. But pretty weird and for certain occasions, no crowdpleaser. Yet beautiful and intimate. Drydown is a bit darker and more balmy, what I think is a bit more masculine, is the sandalwood, myrrhe, benzoin and civet. 86

Love to wear this when going to the beach or going to the boat! Wore it the other day, and after hours, a friend told me I smelled like The Matcha from Le Labo....WTF! This is and underrated vanilla, not you typical sweet gourmand, this is raw vanilla with musk.

Normally I don't like the idea of wearing feminine fragrances, but for this I can make an exception. Super sweet and candy-like fragrance, which I genuinely love about it. Little bit to the feminine side, but it's great. Next pick-up it is!

I really thought I wouldn’t like this, I tend to avoid coconut in fragrances like the plague, but this is actually quite nice, the coconut makes this creamy. I also enjoyed the Neroli one. Some people might find this a bit too sweet though.

Beautiful and unique. It’s very passionate and happy but very heavy too. Tropical delight with erotic. I’m not a biggest fan of fruity fragrances but this one is one of a kind. Performance is excellent. Overall: 8/10

Caution: Not for everybody. Niether do its latest Neroli sibling! Try them first. For me, The Neroli flanker is the reason why I fell in love with this, and can't get enough of both.

I cannot stop sniffing my arm. Not at all what I had expected. Salty, sweet, woody, floral, with a minty herbal (almost menthol-like) undertones. Unique, feminine, gorgeous!

I love this! I tried Tyger Tyger, Lost in Heaven and this one from Francesca Bianchi so far, and this is my favourite, even tho Tyger is also very good. I’ll give it 9/10.

I am absolutely obsessed with this. It's not a perfume to me, it's something that becomes part of your skin. Salty, ambery, slightly sweet. Perfect for a warm spring day.

It’s yummy, yet classy. Easy going, but stylish. A tad funky and addictive. I have the Neroli version and this one will be in my collection as well.
