Francine

Lovely and well-done green fragrance- the transition from top notes to resins-like basenotes (Galbanum and lentisque) is seamless. Quite unique tackle on cologne-genre without beings cologne-like. Intemporal feel, refreshing while not boring, airy but not cheeky. Regardless of the structure and single notes, if you love L’Eau de Campagne Sisley or Lancôme, Eau de Lancaster- you will love it. A pretty, elegant spring-time floral that's just a little old fashioned or classic in feel. The jasmine is slightly animalic. As Cereza (below) mentions, it's green but not sharp and yes there is a feel of spring rain here - it's also mildly soapy. It's lovely quality - elegant, not loud, pretty - with a lovely warm dusty sandalwood that seems to glow in dry-down. (I got the sample free from the excellent '50ml' perfume store in Milan, who are very generous with samples!)

Wonderful mastic with a warm dry "sandalwood". Thankfully no white musk in the dry down and v faint throughout, just a tiny touch to soften the jasmine which is likewise light. The real play is between the round citrus and green mastic. Elegant and serious yet sparkling with spring green. V different, more light hearted than other uplifting vetiver like sycamore and carries the stony, dusty wood note to dry down with something juicier to balance.

Surprisingly from all of the scents I've tried from this line "Francine" is the only one with decant staying power whatsoever. This little fruity, citrus gem lasted wonderful 10 hours! Firt, this is the sort of greeness I love in my scents - it wasn't in any kind sour or too sharp. The greeness comes mostly from basil and mastic, giving this fresh and herbal appearance. Topped with one of the most fruity citruses I've tried in a long time....aand we have an aromatic, refreshing cocktail with hints of sweetness and boozyness. Smells like a summer morning after rain. The drydown is filled with white, clean musk. 100% my favorite from the house.

I really wanted to love it, as it's staying power really is amazing for a green scent and I am crazy about green scents (my favourites are Tokyo Bloom and Chevalier Vert), but there is something too sharp for my nose, tickling in the nose in an unpleasant way. I don't get any jasmine or amber or musk, just a lot of galbanum, some citruses. Shockingly masculine scent, at least on my skin. I like it for the freshness and staying power and character, but I don't love it - on me it lacks softness or depth.

یه عطر کلاسیک با محوریت روایح سبز و آروماتیک که حس صابونی هم داره اما این وجه کلاسیک با رَگه هایی از مدرنیته هم آمیخته شده و خیلی پیرمردی نیست در اوایل،ترکیب روایح،توهم رایحه ی اوکموس رو بهم القا کرد وجه سبز عطر هم تا حدود ای حالت جنگلی و سرو مانند داره که تند و تیزی گیاهی پشتیبانی اش می کنه سر و کله‌ی مُشک هم بعد از نیمه های عطر پیدا میشه و کمی عطر رو پودری می کنه اما همچنان آکورد آروماتیک و سبز حرف اول رو می زنه ************** scent:6.5/10 longevity:7/10 sillage:6.5/10 purchase value:4/10 ******* overall:6/10

Green and sharp, like a blast of freshness after the summer rain. But nothing else really, therefore disappointingly one dimensional... The staying power is weak on me. All around a 'NO' for me.
