Patchouli

Strong woody note of patchouli.Long lasting and strong.Like in case of cedre, it smells mostly like ingredient, which is in name.

Love it, got a lovely creamy dry down and long lasting on my skin >10 hours!

Sweet, floral patchouli, very uplifting, great for a spring day.

I can't believe I'm saying any part of this... but, FB Patchouli sits right between the sweet excellence of Chanel Coromandel and its lesser quality, more floralized baby sister, Jessica Simpson Fancy Nights. I know, as if the two even belong in the same sentence... Having said that, "Patchouli" reeks of quality and balance that is much, much closer to Chanel than to JS. Right out of the sprayer, it's a fantastic, creamy angle on patchouli, totally avoiding anything that resembles medicinal or damp earth. For me, this take on patchouli leans woody, tinged with honey and white chocolate. In spite of the sweetness, I think it still leans just barely masculine and all the way delicious. I can easily imagine liking this equally on myself or on my lady. Too early to comment on performance, but right off the bat, this one seems thick, like performance is kind of a foregone conclusion. Will edit this later as I discover more of its nuances.

Yup, it's confirmed. Patchouli and honey, with a bit of cedar to round it out. Very natural and it does contain an accord very similar to Coromandel. Not identical, but recognizably similar. Like Coromandel's slightly edgier cousin. At certain times, I also get alternating hints of something earthy and damp, as well as a lightly spiced, almost cola-like accord. Nicely nuanced, inviting one to check back and sniff as it morphs throughout the day. Updating my original thoughts, I now think this is straight up, right down the middle unisex and the effect will vary by skin type and application. Good quality, better than average projection and very good longevity (~6-8 hrs as it fades to a skin scent). One of my favs from this house. If you like a good unisex patchouli, you will probably like this.

Was nervous this was going to be iso e super garbage like Vertus but am happily surprised with Boclet’s Patchouli. I get dry cedar & patchouli- decent longevity and sillage. Not sensing any Coromandel connection though. If you’re a patchouli hoarder/completist like me- this is a solid addition.

This is a nice spicy patchouli. What’s not to like?

I need to help clear up these reviews. I always enjoy finding new "houses" to try and I have become super into the blind buys during Covid!!! I can say this. This is a not a good perfume. If you have ever experienced one of "Hawthornes play frags" this is it but for 100-120 dollars more. Nothing like Coromandel, I am a patchouli lover and this smells like Robitussin. I know this is harsh, but don't bother with this. You can thank me later!! Edit. 1 hour later. Dry down is decent. The first 1-2 hours are pretty aggressive and harsh which makes me judge this frag so negatively

Patchouli by Boclet is a very pleasant fragrance that perfectly reflects the color of the liquid in the bottle. However, those looking for a thoroughly patchouli-driven scent may want to look elsewhere. Patchouli is not present here in great abundance, which does not make the fragrance bad or not worth testing. The patchouli that can be detected here is modern, bright, and very woody — largely due to the presence of cedar, which intertwines with it to form a cohesive, unified note. In my opinion, cedar is actually the main theme of this composition. The strongest dose of patchouli — as the note pyramid also suggests — appears in the opening. Its character reminds me of the patchouli used in M7, though in a brighter, more luminous and less incense-heavy interpretation. This feels more like a patchouli note derived from modern aroma chemicals rather than from a traditional essential oil, hence the absence of the “darkness” typically associated with the full, natural material. From the very beginning, it is clear that this is a woody-amber fragrance. The amber accord is present from the first moments after spraying on the skin and remains until the very end. Over time, more vanilla emerges, while the woody character stays firmly intact. Combined with cedar, this creates an impression reminiscent of fine spirits such as rum or cognac — in this respect, I would compare it to Bentley For Men Intense (rum and cedar). This association lasts for a long time. Sweetness is present, but I would not describe the fragrance as cloying. All of these qualities make it an excellent choice for colder days. As for performance, at this point I can only comment on projection, which is moderate with a slight boost. On clothing, the fragrance has proven its staying power; its longevity on skin remains to be evaluated.

I have an oily essence of patchouli, and when I smelled this perfume for the first time, I became so surprised!! Dominant scent of this perfume is patchouli and it is so natural. I offer this perfume to persons that like patchouli scent. You can buy a blind buy if you love patchouli... این عطر همانطوری که از اسمش پیداست در اون از نعناع هندی استفاده شده. من اسانس روغنی خالص نعنا هندی رو دارم. وقتی که این عطر رو بو کردم؛ به سازنده ی عطر درود فرستادم!! بوی کلی عطر بسیار نزدیک به گیاه پچولی هست. این عطر بدون شک برای کسانی که دوستدار بوی این گیاه هستند غافل گیر کننده خواهد بود و از نظر من اگه کسی از بوی نعنا هندی خوشش میاد؛ بدون تردید این عطر رو تهیه کنه

Patchouli by Franck Boclet gives off pure 1980s fragrance vibes—bold, earthy, and a bit nostalgic, like the after-hours energy of a power suit or vintage leather jacket. If you like your patchouli strong and classic, this one delivers that unmistakable retro punch.

I am just testing this, and the dry down is very similar to the patchouli in Chanel Coromandel. For patchouli lovers, this is a great fragrance, as it isn't harsh, or too earthy, but creamy. This could quite easily be layered with other fragrances that don't contain patch. The cedar note is quite fresh, and the amber is just enough to balance things out.

There are many patchouli based perfumes on the market. This is definitely not the best one. Just a common smell. Lasted for 15 minutes on my skin, then it was gone.
