Vanille

THE BEST Masculine-leaning Gourmand Vanilla. Opening with a burst of lime & cardamom that deepens into a creamy caramel & ginger heart resting on a vanilla & amber-musk base with cedar touches. I get an amber-spicy presence throughout, though amber is not listed. The vanilla is well-rounded here taking on caramel and chocolate nuances. Best on the skin as this will give an oily sheen that could stain clothing, and needs to warm up before the projection kicks in. Overall: Fantastic vanilla forward scent profile with well above average performance, unisex but slightly masculine leaning in comparison to other scents with this profile.. It's a love for me. Enjoy! Contrast to Lira Xerjoff: Very similar scent profile with citrus vanilla, but VFB is slightly masculine leaning. VFB has a more amber touches, and has cardamom instead of cinnamon. Lira is more citrus forward and develops a lighter cakey feel that I don't smell in VFB. Lira is more linear. Both have excellent performance that is roughly equivalent. Update 04/26/25: Wore this the last few days, and really enjoying it. The vanilla has aged to where the juice is a dark coffee colour now, and the vanilla lasts longer over top of the amber making it less masculine imo. It's categorized as oriental spicy in the write-up, but now that the vanilla has aged, I would call it oriental vanilla, as vanilla is more forward than spices. Very similar to Lira. Still a love, I might wear it again today. 10/10.

I tested this perfume before seeing perfume notes. I detected Franck Boclet vanille as Caramelized vanilla, and when I see notes after that, I become surprised. This perfumes is clearly can demonstrated by this sentence: "Caramelized and dander vanilla" It is so different type of vanilla base perfume. Vanilla lovers, come on and test this perfume. I promise that vanilla lovers don't be regret testing Franck Bolclet, Vanilla. I love it. ................................................................................. من قبل از اینکه نتهای عطر رو ببینم؛ با بو کردن این عطر گفتم که خیلی ساده میشه این عطر رو بیان کرد. با یک جمله ی کوتاه و در عین حال بسیار کارآمد. و این جمله این هست: ا وانیل سوخته و کاراملیزه شده .بعد از دیدن نتهای عطر متعجب شدم. دقیقا این عطر یک چنین بویی داره. به نظرم عطری در سبک وانیلی هست که متفاوت از عطرهای هم نت خودش هست. دوست داران عطرهای وانیلی حتما با تست کردن این عطر خوشحال خواهند شد که با جنبه ای دیگر از این ماده ی خوشبو (وانیل) آشنا خواهند شد

Citrus scents are definitly one of my favourite fragrance profiles and I own around 25+ different citrus perfumes. Vanille by FB is definitly a favourite in my collection. I love the sweet lime and lemon, ginger, caramel combo of this fragrance. It’s sugary but remains light, airy and easy to wear. Its no where near as sugary sweet or as cakey as Lira, and nowhere near as strong as unknown pleasures which also has a tea note. It’s also lighter than Dulcis in fundo. I’d say it’s closest to “Il Colore Del Vento” but with more lemon rather than lime in comparison. This is a great scent for spring or summer and easily unisex. It’s also very reasonably priced for 100ml.

I loved Lira, and tart citrus gourmands in general, especially unisex. This is lighter and more midline than Lira. Lira can tend to pull gradually traditionally masculine on me as it wears and the bright top notes burn off. This one keeps to a softer scent story. I think the sweetness stays closer to linear as it doesn't have that musk accord creeping in to overshadow the other notes. I still like Lira but I'm loving Franck Boclet's Vanille. It's a warm vanilla, starting quite sweet, and then the caramel kicks in, making it more gourmand. When the ginger comes, it becomes a warm fragrance, that feels like amber+vanilla fragrance. Compared to its brother Tonka, I'd prefer tonka, because I feel vanilla feels bright and effervescent, tonka is darker, more mature and mysterious. It's very nice, and this reminds me of Mirabile from V Canto.
