Rowan Sebastian Atkinson is an English actor, comedian and screenwriter best known for his work in the sitcoms Blackadder and Mr Bean. He has a face that everyone knows and has become accustomed to. Honestly, I don't even think his mother believes he's a good-looking man. However, most of us recall with some pleasure, the various roles he plays. I surfed the WEB to read some comments about Atkinson's looks. Here are some of my findings: "Really, he's quite ugly." "Why does he look like that?" "He looks like a bean but has the whole world inside him". "He looks like a creepy caretaker who lives in the school caretaker's dressing room". "Talent doesn't talk about looks! I love him." "He's nice and sweet." Today I suggest you try a perfume that has a cheap and not very pretty presentation, but inside you will find a juice comparable to the best amber designer offerings on the market. My wife commented that from the outside it looks like an awkward, drooling Mr Bean, but it smells like a flamboyant Johny English driving an Aston Martin. I think she meant to refer to Daniel Craig impersonating "Double O 7". Frank Olivier Amber is a spicy, almost sweet amber fragrance that offers an intense ambary background throughout its development, with a fresh, semi-citrusy opening, woody accords softened with patchouli and vetiver in the heart, and a nice, distinct warm aromatic amber (probably labdanum) and vanilla. If you are not put off by the low price and the presentation of the bottle, you will delight your nose with a very surprising amber fragrance that you can wear on numerous occasions. It's not the ultra-natural amber I always dream of, but the synthetic ingredients used are not offensive at all. Having heard comparisons to Grand Soir, Ambre Nuit and 40 Knots, I was keen to poke my nose into this budget gem without going through the trouble of a blind buy because of the low price, and I'm glad I did. The performance is not great, but quite acceptable. My opinion: The bottle could even be considered beautiful but only without the fading brown colour and the cheap plastic cap. The perfume itself is very pleasant and I will certainly use it quite often in winter, spring and autumn. Its reasonable price easily justifies a blind purchase if you like amber fragrances. I'm going through my fragrances to see which fragrance is similar, and to me the closest is Royal Equestrian by Alexandria Fragrances with more citrus. It's not rubbery smelling to my nose like PDM Layton, and that's not a dig. It's definitely a modern smelling fragrance. Overall, it's a pleasant fragrance, but not as intoxicating as Royal Equestrian or my champ of amber CK Obsession for Men. It's very light, and I would say it's for one of those fall days when you really don't want to wear a fragrance. The fragrance sits close to the skin. There isn't anything unpleasant about this EDP, but yes, there are better choices. If you shop around, you can find this for 13 dollars with free shipping. I'm going to wear it tomorrow in the Miami heat, and see if it works for 85 degree weather. It just might. Long term 6-12 hour drydown is much more pleasant that Royal Equestrian. Day 2: Classic Amber immediately comes to mind when describing this fragrance. Day 2 nighttime: Amber has many benefits related to anti-anxiety and anti-inflammation. Since this is an EDP, tonight I sprayed this on myself and did notice that my anxiety was lessened, although I sprayed approximately 15 sprays. At 13 dollars a bottle for an EDP, I was not at all concerned about costs. Day 3: I'm really starting to love this fragrance. I'm going to have to give it a love rating.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Luxury need not be expensive. This is a really nice niche like amber fragrance at a very decent price. It reminds me of Christian Dior Ambre Nuit in the mid but the opening and the dry down is different in my humble opinion. Also, this one is a bit sharper while CDAN is fuller and rounder. By the tail end, this one takes you to a different direction and to my nose, it’s simply gorgeous and I love it, totally different from CDAN. Although the dry down of the original is something to die for in its own right, I love them both. Call it synthetic or what not, my nose likes it. I I wear it especially from autumn till early spring mostly at night time or while just chillin at home or simply sniff it for olfactory pleasure. Another affordable treat from the House of Franck Olivier. Winner in all departments 🙌 I will rate this gorgeous gem a 10/10 “Let us spread the scents of peace and kindness. On the plus side, FO Amber is very satisfying to wear - effectively balancing the honey sweet, soapy, and powdery aspects of amber. It reminds me of Halston Man Amber, but without the 80s swagger. On the minus side, this composition lacks depth - missing the spicy and musky aspects (that aforementioned 80s swagger). It wears close and doesn't last longer than 3-4 hours on my skin, a bit longer on clothes. Over spraying and heated exertion help it to push out more, but not last longer. I like this fragrance well enough to tolerate its shortcomings because a good amber that doesn't veer too sweet or cheap smelling is hard to find, especially at the very reasonable prices of the Olivier brand. I've got two backup bottles on the way because I have a feeling I will be going through a lot of sprays.

#430 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I'm a sucker for a bargain, so I've tried most of the low-priced Franck Olivier EDTs and given them all away when disappointed by their poor performance. But they do have few EDPs I've found. This is one I really like and I LOVE the price! Far better sillage and longevity than you have a right to expect in a bargain-priced EDP. The citrus is not screechy at all, the amber and vanilla not bomb level. You could wear this to the office when most vanilla-amber bombs would be a distraction. There's none of grandma's rose powder in this so I don't know how anyone is smelling Dior Ambre Nuit. If anything stands out in this its the patchouli and sandalwood. At $27 and change it's a no-risk blind buy. If you like an amber scent you'll be fine with this.

I think they should have named this Patchouli instead of Amber. I get a very good patchouli from the mid to the drydown, and I really like it. It has strong staying power. I get 8-10 hours of longevity, which is amazing on my skin. I may have sprayed it on my clothes also, now that I think about it. This may have helped the longevity. I get wafts of it throughout my 12-hr work day. It is well blended with the patchouli and amber playing very well together. I was pleasantly surprised with this one!! I do get a Mugler A*Men vibe in the far drydown. Don't be blinded by the negative reviews below. 85% of the people who actually did a review of this fragrance either liked or loved it. I'm with the majority on this one.

AWESOME HIDDEN GEM SCENT, absolutely love it. Kind of a no brainer what you're getting into here; Opening blast of nice orange and citrus lasts 5-ish minutes before settling into a nice earthy amber scent. Longevity and projection? Can't complain. Any age or gender safe to me. Definitely a unique vibe that you don't normally smell, if you're even remotely into the Amber note this is a 10/10 blind buy. AND under 30 dollars?! What are you waiting for.

One of the best amber fragrance even if it contains some synthetic notes but i feel the scent is perfect regarding to the gradation of scent first note that you will gonna smell is ( patchouli , labdanum , woods with a little citrus note ) then the scent ends with ( sweet and heavy amber )

First thing that comes to mind everytime I smell this perfume is red wine. Then ink. Imagine writing in your journal with a pen while having a glass of red wine. But you have ink all over the hand because you had to refill your pen. Encre Noire and Burberry London together. Amazing!

Autumn & winter favorite. Salty-sweet amber , with spicy labdanum and vetiver for balance. Patchouli is also sweet too but with enough earthiness to be distinct from the amber. Long-lasting (10+ hours) with a great sillage. Perfect for layering, but beautiful on its own.

This here is a secret weapon. Possible one of the best amber smelling fragrance for its price range. This fragrance smells sooo freaking sexy! Cant go wrong! 100% blind buy approval 9/10 I just discovered that this smells identical to 40 Knots by Xeroff, so even better

Ok...a "typical amber" scent. But...I find this one smooth and immediately likeable. citrus/patch/labdanum/vanilla...all there. Pretty decent blend IMO. Average to moderate sillage/projection/performance. Easy to wear. A big like !!!

I find bits of amber on the seashore, so I know what that fossilized pine resin smells like. Frank Olivier chose the name well for this fragrance - amber. Excellent, longevity, sillage male fragrance.

Nobody is mentioning this, but to me, it smells like Cedar. It reminds me of an old cedar cigar box my uncle kept in the back seat of his car! It smells amazing!

I love this considering the price! I don't get any of the top notes listed. This is Amber and Vanilla from first spray to dry down! This projects nicely.

I am a woman who enjoys wearing men's fragrances, and I love this one. It is great on it's own, and also nice to layer beneath something that is way too sweet and feminine to make it smell more unisex. It is pretty sweet for a men's fragrance, and much smoother than its price tag would signify. Amber is represented in all of its spicy, sweet, powdery glory here, and it will last forever on me. My husband likes this one on me, and he doesn't like many fragrances. This is a bottle that will stay on my shelf for quite a while.

For me, it doesn't feel synthetic, as some have said, and is really nice from up close or from catching a whiff in the air. It's just a warm, cozy scent of mostly amber, vanilla and sandalwood thickened with patchouli and labdanum that's works well in cold to mild weather. I waited too long to pull the trigger on this. It's smells great and the price is right. If you like amber scents, it's worth your time to look into.

Orange -> "Amber" -> Vanilla This "Amber" here is very resinous, a bit chemical even (evokes varnish to me), but in a good way, it's a pleasant and soothing chemical varnish that you wanna keep smelling. It opens with a fresh bitter-sweet Orange note and ends leaving a dark "baked-cookie" Vanilla note on your skin, but this resinous "Amber" is all along the way.

I just got my nose on this one today & it really (REALLY) makes me wish that it was Autumn again. $30CAD for this absolutely gorgeous fragrance? Seriously? I can't speak on the longevity or sillage as I didn't buy it today, but I will be purchasing it very soon & can't wait until I can give it a full & proper wearing.

I tried a number of fragrances with amber as dominant note and most of them are very sweet, sometimes cloying. This one is perfectly balanced, not too sweet, slightly herbal, just great. I do not get much of vanilla which is fine. Sillage and longevity just accurate. Overall 8.5/10.

Picked up a 75ml for about $15 which is a great value. This is a darky, spicy amber scent. It reminds me of so much of a cologne I used to have but I can't put my finger on it and it's driving me nuts. Definitely worth the price IMO, blind buy worthy for a fall/winter scent.

Brought this as a dumb reach frag however this has become my most complimented frag in my collection. I SWEAR someone always ask me what am i wearing when i throw this on. im going to put this away and save it for special occasions now..

I love this perfume! It smells beautiful, therauptic, mature, slightly dressed-up. It's also strong and performs well so cool nights are a great time to wear this fragrance.

pretty decent for what you pay.. I don't get the comparison to with royal equestarian.. to me more like burberry brit just less powdery. 6.5/10

It smells very nice in the air. It's a pleasant but distinct amber/vanilla with some orangey citrus in the background. If your nose is within 6 inches of the application it smells too concentrated and it is very close to the smell of citronella and deet. My advice is to not douse your neck in it. Is it a $19 "masterpiece of amber perfumery, rivaling the powerhouses of niche fragrances!"... hell no. It's the best cheap amber you will find but there is an ozonic synthetic tone to it and most of the notes have very little character. If you have anything better pass on it. That advice applies to pretty much the entire Franck Olivier product line.

I just received it and I'm a bit disappointed. The scent itself is pleasant (I love amber), but it's more synthetic than I'd hoped and has an undeniably plastic feel. Longevity is solid but projection is light. It's early but it's not looking like a wise purchase at this point.

I gave this a full wear today. The opening and mid are nice, but the dry down on my skin smells just like baby powder/baby wipes. Although I can certainly understand why people would like this, it’s just not my cup of tea.

The opening is harsh and seems very synthetic to me. Once that is over it is a powdery Amber scent which can be liked. however I have other Amber's that are of better quality. I would pass on this one.

Its sickly sweet! It reminds me a bit of YSL Tuxedo with bad quality and 10 packs of sweetener added. In fact I get a heartburn just thinking of it. Don't be blinded by the positive statements, even 15 bucks are too much for this, thank me later.

A basic, good executed orange/amber/vanilla fragrance. It doesn't break any ground, however, amber fragrances are almost always full of other notes that the amber note is lost in the sauce, not on this one, here you get the amber note clearly. If you love amber this can be an easy wear, dumb reach scent, and for the price it's a steal. If youre looking for a scent that makes a statement or is signature worthy, this probably won't do it. Pleasant, has multiple facets, surprisingly non linear, starts orangey, then amber emerges, then becomes powdery amber with a hint of vanilla. Performance is good enough for this profile, it lasts alot more than it projects, don't expect a beast. The orange note in it reminds me of the orange note used in montale's spicy aoud "which doesn't have spices or aoud", if you're familiar with it, imagine a light version of it with amber. The amber isn't thick or dense, it's rather light and airy. Overall a good scent. Waste a few sprays, put it away for a month, then use it, only then judge it.

I got on to Franck Olivier fragrances by accident. I was reading reviews and like the whole momentum of reviews, gave me a gut instinct that they were good. Then I found a few and seen the price and almost blew it off. Then I got my hands on Oud Touch and Oud Vanille, both for less than $40. I got them and wow were they good. The notes they say, do not even list oud. But it sure has a wonderful smell, and niche vibe no doubt. I got a Montale type of vibe. And if they can make our out of notes, and not use oud, then they are sure magic makers. But now I am checking what else they had and that's how I got here. I wanted to see what people were saying that had tried it. But if I can get some more of these, I would in a second. Great fragrance house in my eyes. I mean they could easily charge and get, $100 a bottle all day.

This one gave me an existential crisis. Let me explain... Amber is my favorite note, even though it's a fantasy accord that doesn't exist in nature. Nobody ever does it right. Every single niche and designer amber I've ever tested has let me down. It either smells too bitter, too skanky, or too medicinal, or too powdery, or drowned by the oud it's blended with. This?! This is all it took?! I just experienced an ego death. A very welcome one. I call this fragrance the Snob Killer and for good reason. Death to niche.

FO Amber has off the chart longevity when sprayed on fabrics (I haven't tried on my skin yet). When I got it, I sprayed on a hand towel and didn't think much about it. For the price I paid for it, this is the best cheap gem from this house. It's cozy, it's enveloping, and it lasts and lasts...It's been over 48 hours and I still get wafts from it from that hand towel. Well worth it.

I got this a few weeks ago, mind you this was so hard to get in the uk at least,mine came all the way from the states and wow am I glad I have this gem of a fragrance,can’t stop smelling this on me and apparently amber has relaxing properties which I find to be accurate,I highly recommend this if you can find it and it’s dirt cheap..

If you scattered make up powder all over the timber aisle of a small hardware store, you get this. I know that description doesn't conjure up the best picture but trust me this is a beautiful fragrance. This is an easy 9/10, this gem gets a thumbs up from me!

I won't even go over the notes with this one.This is the best blind buy you could ever do. A beautiful and perfectly crafted amber accord. For 20 euros I feel I have robbed someone blind. Still here reading?! Anybody said Amber Nuit?!

Aha! An interesting release from Franck Olivier! But why is it concentrated as an EDT? Or is there an "Amber EDP" in the works?
