Bamboo for Men

This is a unique one by Frank. It stays, and women will fall for it left and right and might be forced to ask you for a date (kidding). Anyway, it's its lasting power that got me. I just bought it yesterday, sprayed it on my T-shirt, and went for a jog. When I came back, I put it in the washer, and after drying, I could still smell it on me. The dry-down is very similar to the one I have in my collection, Bentley Intense. Warning: Ladies, please don't put this on. Men will stay away from you. This is strictly a male perfume. Overall, the start is peppery and spicy, but once it settles down, you will feel its presence. As I already told you, the dry-down is also good. I wish you all the best when buying it. Only Downside: The cap sucks

Man, this is something else! And somehow I could not imagine bamboo-themed perfume to smell any different:D Sillage is enormous. To my nose, and to noses of others. Literally anyone who walks in to my office notices it immediately. Fragrance itself is kind of one-dimentional. It just starts, and lasts, lasts and lasts. No twists, no suprises, but lasts forever;) Bottle is a thing of beauty:) Update: After few days of intense testing, I like it more and more. Scent does eventually change. After few hours it settles. Becomes clean, fresh soapy. Really enjoyable, inoffensive.

they finally had this at the mall.. about three months ago i got a sample for this and i really enjoyed it.. to the point i sprayed it twice and saved it until i could get an actual bottle... it's a strange fragrance.. in a good way tho.... almost floral with some spice to it and a hint of sweetness and earthy tones in the dry down.. if you get a moment hit up your local mall kiosk and see if they have it in stock... dunno about you but i like to find stuff that not everyone has... another olivier classic in my mind.

Definitly a very uniqe fragrance, never smelled anything like it before. If you're a collector then you definitly have to own it, because of the beautiful bottle and its uniqe smell. Interesante composición , huele a perfumeria clásica , limpia , pero a la vez a alguna narices no les puede parecer interesante el olor , no se recomienda para jóvenes entre 18 y 25 diria yo , ya que evoca perfumeria más de antaño , la longevidad es muy buena , muy buena diria yo , me costó tan solo $12.000 CLP unos 20 USD , no lo volveria a comprar , y una cosa , no se parece en nada a Dior Sauvage actual..más bien quizás al antiguo Sauvage

I bought this blindly based on the composition. It's not exactly what I was expecting or hoping for. In the opening I do get citrus of sorts, but something more like toilet cleaner citrus than fresh and invigorating. The patchouli and Sandlewood are noticeable after the blast of toilet fresh softens a little, and is not bad but also not great. I was wearing this last weekend when I went shopping and I could hear the two female staff asking each other if they could smell something. In answer to the first one's question the second replied "yes I can. It smells like really strong hairspary or something. It's making my nose itchy." (I use hair wax mostly) I had to give the bottle away after that because that's all I could think of every time I took the lid off. The bottle is very arractive. I guess that's something.

My girlfriend assures me that this doesn't smell anything like real bamboo (she works at a zoo). I feel like it's the bamboo note taken from Montblanc Starwalker, and rendered in isolation and much higher fidelity. With that said, it might be one of the "missing link" perfumes we sometimes hear about, where an insanely popular designer fragrance (Dior Sauvage) abruptly hits the scene, and nobody is sure where its scent DNA came from, until a cheap little thing from an obscure brand strays across someone's radar screen with an uncomfortable truth. I happen to quibble with the notion that Franck Olivier's Bamboo is truly the missing link to Sauvage, and believe there's a little more to this story (I'll cover it on my blog), but regardless, this perfume is an interesting and alarmingly well made piece of perfumery. Why did Franck Olivier feel the need to release Bamboo Pour Homme/Men (different on box vs. bottle) in 2012, only to issue Bamboo Men five years later, in 2017? What is going on here?

How have Franck Olivier fragrances gone under the radar for so long? I stumbled upon a fairly unknown fragrance reviewer on YouTube and he was raving about this fragrance house. I'm shocked that this fragrance has such a low approval rating. It's gorgeous, genuinely one of the best fragrances I have come across. The Sauvage/Luna Rossa Carbon comparisons are on the money, My nose is not as refined some of the others here so I can't give any kind of percentage as to how close it is to Sauvage but its damn close to my nose. Performs above average and projects ok too. Its also a compliment getter. For the price its a must have, ticks every single box, so for $20 or so its a no Brainer.

I love all the notes , can't wait 2 have it . P.S. should have been EDP like the women edition & must consider in the future !
