Black Touch

With a little elementary mathamagic, I find that for the price of my bottle of Green Irish Tweed, I could have bought around twelve bottles of this stuff. And I'd probably go through them all before I finished the Creed. This stuff is pure magic on me. Black Touch, like many of my favorites, is set in earth tones - burnt umber, if I had to narrow it down. Pay attention to the "People who like this" widget over to the right, because there are absolute elements of many of these fragrances dancing around in the mix here - in fact, I'm pretty sure that if I had the time and inclination, I could replicate this using some amalgamation of those scents as ingredients. Start with just the smallest hint of Encre Noir - you can sense tendrils of it, like distant smoke, throughout the life of it. Pour on some M7, to get that bronze, hummy quality to it, but smooth it out with the L'Occitane, to get it a little creamy. Just a touch of Terre D'Hermes, to get that taste of citrus up... ...and I've just created a really tasty stew for 300 dollars that Black Touch delivers for under twenty bucks. That's spooky and delightful. On one hand, if you're an elementalist, you can cover much of that earthtone experience in one go using Black Touch. On the other hand, for those of us in love with that entire spectrum, Black Touch connects the dots in several places - like a missing link. For under twenty bucks. That bears endless repeating. It doesn't threaten the pedestals of the pantheon - it's no cheap replacement for M7 or Encre Noir or L'Occitane or Terre d'Hermes. At the same time, none of those (alone) can replace the omnibus that is Black Touch. If there is a downside to it, I suppose it would be that, in carrying the DNA of so many defining perfumes, it lacks a definite personality of its own. It's not a hitman in black like Encre, it's not a gleaming bronze machine like M7, it's not a rough-and-tumble leather jacket like the Hermes. It's... a lovely burnt umber. As to longevity, on my skin this stuff is implacable; 14 hours later, all I need to do is wipe my fingers over my collarbone to bring the scent alive again to my nose, with goodly strength. Should you try it? If you're into the earthtone spectrum of perfumes, you can barely afford not to for under a double sawbuck; it's this or English Leather over at the dimestore. And this is No English Leather.

I will just pick up the last opinion to build an equation. 60% Terre D'Hermes + 30% Encre Noir + 10% X = 100% Black Touch I still wonder about the X in this equation. My best guess is 10% of Angel Men mainly in the opening. It opens with an alchool blast (so don't smell it in the initial 15 seconds). Then you get a very good spicy sweet (caramel) citrusy opening. There is also touch of cardamom. The opening notes endure through the heart notes. With the hearth notes I mainly detect the orange blossom and some white flowers. Basically you have a 2nd stage with some fainting opening notes but with a strong vibe of caramel /grapefruit / orange blossom that blends with some dirtiness coming from vetiver and cedar of the closing notes. During the drydown the woody scents become a lot more cleaner. The sweetness persists probably due to the vanilla and musk notes. At the peak, the sillage reaches 3~4 feet. After 4~5 hours it becomes a skin scent and vanishes after 6~7 hours. With higher temperatures (or sweatty skin) it projects more, the sillage reaches 6 feet and the skin scent dies after 8 hours. This fragrance is not as black as the name suggests. Probably is just a "touch" dark. It's perfect for Spring, Autumn, Winter, day or night. You may even use it during the summer at night. Performance is average for this type of notes. The bottle is nice and solid and the sprayer is very good. Let's see the maths for Frank Olivier's Black Touch: - Scent: 8.0 (very good - my judgement) - Longevity: 7.5 (7 hours +) - Sillage: 7.0 (3~4 feet for 2 1/2 hours with 3 sprays on cold weather; average projection for 2 hours); practical skin scent till the 7th hour. - Uniqueness: 8.0 (not really unique as it resembles mainly Terre d'Hermes but it's not a clone). - Wearability: 8.0 (almost allways except hot weather) - Versatility: 8.0 (everywere and attracts compliments; exceptional for "close" encounters). - Quality: 8.0 (my judgement) - Presentation: 8.0 (nice but not outstanding) - Price: 8.5 (100 ml for 20 Euros + VAT) Average: 7.89 / 10.00 In my top 10? No! But good enough for daily informal use and "close" encounters. Will I buy it again? Probably. Will I recommend it? YES! You will not make much better for 20 Euros, and this fragrance is really pleasant!

"this is my version of the black touch story" imagine if encre noir was a goth chick and terre d hermes was indian jones son. a young couple from two different sides of the street yet they fit together perfectly in a harmonious balance we call love. this fragrance is a dark vetiver with hints of a dark floral background all done in a very unique men's fragrance. the vetiver is light and airy woody and sweet. with subtle nuances of some type of flower that i cannot put my finger on. i don't think it's the geranium, perhaps the jasmine? it is very well blended and hides in this fragrances enough to not confuse you. it also has some kind of musty pleasant aspect that may put some people off. but give it a couple minutes and that turns sweet and soft. kinda like opening a very old book. it's dusty dirty but you kinda find that smell delightful for some strange reason. i can see why people associate this with TdH and EN but it is on it's own path in life. longevity 8/10 sillage 6/10 overall score 7/10 this will be one of the best inexpensive fragrances on the market for a little while. however this is an opinion and you have to be into darker scents to enjoy something like this. ** i'm not sure if it is just me but this might have iso e super in it. it tends to fade away and waft back in strength for hours. it also seems heat activated. the more you sweat the louder it projects. and it does not just wear off easily with some sweat. the good thing is it never truly dies off until around 8-10 hours.

Grape, ¿Pepper? Cardamom, VETIVER, Jasmin, Cedar It opens with a fresh aromatic Grape and a dry bitter pungent Spice note (Pepper most likely). A dry earthy woody Vetiver note plays the main role (should be listed within the middle notes). Most importantly, there is a musky Jasmin note alongside the whole road which makes the composition a little less rough and a bit more aromatic and elegant, a bit more versatile. This smells like a highly intelligent, life-hardened, villains' boss giving orders from an underground lair or something. It makes me think of Tywin Lannister for some reason. You may not get compliments with this, but this is a fragrance for someone who does not care about that anyways, a mature serious man who cares only about respect and getting things done. And please, this is nothing like Encre Noire. Are we really going to invoke the name of EN every time Vetiver is listed within the notes? EN is a Musky Wood, very musky and somehow wet, borderline unisex, whereas this one (Black Touch) is a Fresh-Spicy & Earthy Wood, very dry and masculine. Totally different fragrances, and I'm comparing them right now, I have them both.

I've gone through an entire bottle of this juice over the course of a year and a half (to be fair at least part of the bottle was used as air freshener after my cat laid out a nasty turd) and I feel like I can give a good review. Now, is this juice TdH meets Encre Noire with a lil cheapness to it? Kinda. I've decanted TdH and EN in 50/50 and in 70/30 concentrations and the resulting juice after maccarating is a bit similar. There is definitely a cheapness to it, although I certainly do not get burnt rubber or anything especially unpleasant. My bottle was solid for longevity, the base note lasts absolutely forever (I wanna say cashmiran with a little extra wood.) I love this cologne at the end of the day, a little spritz on my neck, little spritz on my sheets.I get vanilla, woods, cardamom, grapefruit, bergamot, a little floral backnote that adds an almost waxy aspect to the fragence. All in all, this is a banger under $20 (I got my bottle for $16) however I'm finding it hard to get for cheaper because a bunch of youtubers reviewed it a while back. Would get as a cheapy!

I smelled TdH today and this fragrance is exceptionally close to it. The opening, as stated in earlier reviews, is less elegantly delivered, but the profile is pleasantly accurate. Now, if you don’t believe that or find it very different, that’s understandable as well. Judging this fragrance against something like TdH, of course it won’t score well. However, judge it as a stand-alone frag from the Olivier house, and it will score above average. With lots to enjoy and very very little to count as a flaw, this has been one of my dumb reach favorites since the weather finally cooled off in Texas. Easy 8/10, and performance is actually impressive for being an EDT concentration. Don’t let the sharp opening turn you away. The dry down is slightly mature and really nice.

Why buy this instead of Encre Noir? Versatility: Encre Noir, masterpiece it may be, is an 'arthouse' fragrance. It's cool to have it, and appreciate it, but it's a daring choice to wear, demanding a boldness a lover of the fragrance may not possess. Not so here. Black Touch has a softness and warmth EN lacks, and a scent profile balance which makes it a year-round possibility. Why buy this instead of Terre D'Hermes? Price: Duh. I mean, if you could buy Hermes for $40 AUD, there'd be no contest. Sorry, this isn't a better fragrance - it's just 1/5 of the price. And it's certainly better than 1/5 as good. And if you're not bothered by absence of brand cache, then this is a great substitute.

I love fragrances like this. It totally reminds me of Citrus and wood by Yardley, only a bit stronger and a bit darker. The bottle is beautiful and is one of those fragrances that really makes me scratch my head as to why it is so inexpensive, like Encre Noir by Lalique. It is very spicy and woody, almost inky and earthy. The Vetiver is prominant and dark, and is actually similar to Encre Noir in that sense, but most closely related to citrus and wood or Terre D'Hermes. I absolutely recommend this to add to anyones fragrance collection because it's such a bargain and fantastic scent. It will be perfect for fall.

Borrowed this off my son and I really like it. Lots of ISO super E . To me it is very like Perles de Lalique but less patchouli and no Turkish delight style rose. Longevity is great and sillage civilised. It is a lot cheaper than Perles and just as nice and as good quality if slightly less feminine. But not butch either. Unisex for sure. I have Franck Olivier original for women and that is also lovely and great quality. I am fed up with feeble offerings so this is a brand I will seek out more of.

Really good one. Its mood is near to Terre d'Hermes but not so close indeed. The scent is dark, earthy, quite green (in strange way) in its opening and with a little grease or lubricant oil-like in its woody heart. Its also very mysterious and deep. The drydown is quite similar to Terre - stones with moss. Generally Black Touch is more warm fragrance and complex i think, and not so - lets say "row". In Poland its easy accesible and really inexpensive. Big thumb up!

It would be easy to dismiss this as a TdH clone but it does offer a different enough take on TdH to be worth owning, especially for the price. There is no over ripe orange note nor is there any sweetness to this. I'd say Black Touch is acting drier, more woody and slightly smoky as compared to TdH. Longevity and projection are superb, easily lasting 10 to 12 hours on my skin and projecting for six of those. For the price, worth a buy.

Very good fragrance, really masculine and niche quality smell. Although it doesn't last and project that good, I recommend you to wear this in spring and possibly summer. Of course, light sprays in summer but I think wearing this in spring is better. Winter and fall will basically kill/mute the fragrance. longevity 5/10 sillage 7/10 ( For the first 45-1hr ) sillage 310 ( After 1hr - 1.5hrs) Smell 8/10 Price 10/10

Black Touch is a great fragrance and a steal at $20. I don't get much Encre Noire off my skin like some do I just get a TdH/Belmont vibe. Longevity on my skin with 4-5 sprays is about 7-8hrs with moderate sillage, a spray or two on my shirt gave me another couple hours of longevity and better sillage. I'm very happy with my bottle and would recommend checking Black Touch out.

I buy it today. in my point of view it is very similar to terre dhermes but there are alittle diffrences between these two. first this perfume has not orange note and insted of, it has more spicy notes than hermes. when you look at its price you see that you have to buy it fast :)

For the first 5 minutes smells a bergamot and patchouli bomb like A men or Pure coffee!! But then change to a very pleasant citrus very similar to Oscar de la Renta Gentelman!! Go and take a look the notes from ODRG and they have 5 in common!! I really love this fragrance!!

I just added this in my collection.. Black Touch is a perfect name for this beast.. I love the transformation this fragrance pulls off in the first 20 minutes.. I’ve began to like vetiver more and more.. Great warm weather evening scent.. Great Bargain.. Awesome 8.0/10

Wow. Best franck olivier by far. This is the only cheapie that gives me niche quality vibes that I've smelled in quite a while. The initial spray is better blended and not as plasticky as encre noir. Very dark and beautiful.

This smells absolutely gorgeous. Resins and smoke is the main notes i get but also has enough freshness that you could pull this off during moderate sunny days.

I will write this review for Black Touch and try to not compare it to Terre d'Hermes, as I find it rather different and each bottle should be evaluated independently - not directly compared. Everything is unto itself...unique. Application/Wearing - full. 1 spray to the back of each hand, 2 to the inner wrists, 3 to the neck (all sides) and 3 to my T-Shirt. Even layered 2-3 more shots to get more out of the initial wearing...not much more shows, just a "thicker" scent. I sprayed from a bit of distance at this point to try to get more note separation, which can help with compositions that are dark and have "weight" to them as Black Touch does. The opening is rather striking - a sharp blast of grapefruit and bergamot with a nice cardamom really open your nasal passages! Rich, earthy patchouli and geranium enter soon after with a strong undertone of dried vetiver (not rooty or rubbery). It is a great note and the key to this composition. I like the florals in the heart because they are faint and distant - a "dried bouquet". African Orange Flower is definitely noticeable though - similar to a peppery neroli note. Well-done, a little amped up with a nice kick. The base is interesting - it doesn't stay loud for long (maybe 30 minutes or so), but instead seems to absorb into my skin and radiates about 6 inches or so out - a bit more on my shirt. It reaches the white musk note and the fragrance is clean and breathes a little more. A light cedar note blends with the synthetic dried vetiver is dominant and worth the price of the bottle for that note alone (along with the sharp opening). Personally, I am a bit disappointed with the lack of projection after 45 min to 1 hour or so. A very nice skin scent and one that you can reapply. It is dark, a bit brooding and has a dryness that is appealing to me - because it is rather unique in that way. I get something different from the fragrance everyone wants to compare this to. It's missing something that makes it great. Perhaps it has less of a spike of Iso E Super...however, there is a fair amount in this juice. A fragrance like this needs to be able to separate its components. It definitely has stages and is not a total blob, but it feels a bit heavy after the sharp opening and never really "lifts" off my skin. At 90 minutes and I am reaching up to my nose (1-2 inches of projection). Overall, this is a fairly well-made composition with a very good price point! I just wish it was a louder scent throughout (and not just the top). It wears like an "EdP Light", where it keeps the scent close to the skin (like an EdP - more "weight"), but doesn't have the overall depth or richness of aromatic compounds. It is a rather strange paradox in a bottle, but that is what synthetic scents often reveal themselves to be. The opening is huge, but it settles quickly. A decent scent for the office...or casual, possibly intimacy. Nothing that I would wear to anything remotely 'special'. Overall score - hard to say, but I will arrive at 7/10, and a "Like" for me. Recommended for those who want an inexpensive, close-in scent that smells significantly better than what you paid. I am curious how this would do in hot weather with perspiration. It doesn't seem to want to stay on my skin even indoors in an air-conditioned house. After some pondering, shaking the bottle to integrate some oxygen and applying another 3-4 sprays, this again opens nicely and transitions quickly to a skin scent. It is nice, but I am not sure if I would buy it again, even at the low price point. It has some nice notes, but I have EdC's that have better projection, better longevity and higher quality ingredients. I really want to like this more, but the lack of longevity projection (even on clothes after 2-3 hours) is not there for me. Strange. One to ponder...as I had very high hopes for it, although it didn't fully disappoint. I simply found myself wanting something "more". Still a solid bottle, especially for the price. Synthetic, of course, and not something I see wearing often as it is already collecting dust. In the end, it just doesn't do anything 'special'...for me. **Update** - I decided to bite the bullet and do some layering in the evening after the 3rd application of Black Touch last night. I applied 3-4 sprays of Terre d'Hermes Pure Parfum, let it's magnificent true EdP notes radiate and settle for about 10-15 minutes and then applied a few shots of Black Touch. The effect was interesting. I expected better, but as I suspected...not a great blend. The Pure Parfum was so beautiful, it just wafted up and showed its depth and form. Black Touch seemed to "blanket" the brilliant EdP in a dark, rather inky & dry feel. I waited - they never integrated. Disappointed, after 30 minutes or so, I grabbed the TdH Pure Parfum and applied a couple more shots - which "dampened" the darkness and the beauty was back. So, I at least got a nice wearing of Pure Parfum by Terre d'Hermes with a deep, dark and brooding undertone. Interesting, but nothing I would do again. Leave those compositions to themselves, entirely!

wow..I can say nothing but wow about touch series of franck olivier(also some of his other fragrances)such high quality for such a reasonable price Black touch reminds me Terre de hermes not as a cheaper copy of it,indeed this a better,more appealing interpretation of it,black touch is like a Terre hermes with Lalique noir undertones,blend of these two very popular men perfumes is amazing..to be honest I neither like terre de hermes,nor Lalique noir,but I really like this one! #292 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is one of three Franck Olivier fragrances I've purchased for evaluation. This is the only EDT and the others are EDPs. First of all, this is nothing like TDH. I have no idea how anyone is getting that. I see some disagree, but this is more similar to Encre Noir "A L'Extreme", the version I much prefer, than to original Encre Noir which is smokier than this and not nearly as aromatic. The sport and extreme versions of EN don't actually cost any more than the original and both are an improvement in complexity and compliment getting. I actually prefer this Franck Olivier scent to original Encre Noir but would put both EN flankers ahead of this in performance. That said, Black Touch performs well enough that for me it's a keeper, though not a repeat buy. Hey, most EDTs I've purchased in my "Tour de Fragrance" have gone to the homeless men's shelter, so the fact this isn't going in this year's Christmas boxes, as have 95% of the EDTs I've evaluated, that's somewhat of an endorsement from me. But why would you buy a substitute for Encre Noir in the first place? Are prices higher in other markets? Here in the USA it's a ten-dollar price differential. Skip your Happy Meal lunch one day and get the Encre Noir A L'Extreme or Sport. $10 more for a better performing fragrance with pretty similar DNA seems like the definition of a "no brainer" to me.

Definitely one of those French market gems, quality stuff. Very dark (too much for me to handle), fresh, not really sweet. I think this would be 9/10 but really meant for 30+ crowd, maybe even high 20's. It doesn't smell "old" in the slightest, the citrus notes evenadd a freshness that keeps it exciting, but so dark. Great for the low price. EDIT: I wrote the initial review before I knew anything about fragrance, and even now I'm still a newbie, so take everything with a grain of salt... When I first used this it was summertime and I lost the bottle before winter came. Had I used this in slightly colder weather it would be great, really meant for spring/fall (anything under like 70 degrees) in my opinion. This is much easier to pull of than terre d'hermes, it lacks the strong bitter orange but it's much much cheaper and can appeal to the younger crowd as well (but not exclusively). After trying out around 50-75 fragrances and getting a basic feel for the market and types of scents, I give this a 9/10 overall. It's interesting and unusual without being a risky blind-buy, it's fairly versatile (I still don't recommend hot summer though), and can be bought for $16 but smells like you paid $70. Not to mention it lasts 7 hours on me, which nowadays is becoming much rarer to find.

"Black Touch" cologne is arguably the BEST inexpensive cologne($16.50) on the market,it really gives the higher priced colognes a run for there money.Projection is GREAT,Sillage is really off the charts and Longevity,well I put 4 sprays on at 8am this morning,its now 5pm and I can still smell it,and I don't mean nose to skin,while I'm sitting on my couch writing this the aroma is like,WOW, so I know others can smell it as well, I usually put 1 spray on each side of my face and 1 spray on both sides of my neck.Fantastic stuff.If your a TRUE cologne lover as I am,try it and I don't think you'll be disappointed.I'm not a person that gets into all the different notes in a cologne,if it smells GREAT,has LASTING POWER and PROJECTS really well,I'M BUYING IT.PERIOD."BLACK TOUCH"is no doubt,one of my all time favorites.L'INSTANT EDT is my signature scent.L'INSTANT EDT &L'INSTANT EXTREME EDP,now those two colognes I would put against any high end cologne on the market.My top 2 colognes,EVER.Black Touch is really a one of those,DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH,a real HIDDEN TREASURE.....

A scent for Batman or The Punisher. If you're not a dark and brooding crime fighter, then this would be a good scent to wear for melancholy events like a funeral or situations where you want to be taken seriously. The name "Black Touch" is accurate - if you're not wearing a outer piece of clothing that is black, this fragrance won't match. Dark, earthy, dusty/musky...has almost a very slight sweet caramel feel in the mid and drydown at times or I guess that would be the cardamom. Don't get me wrong, it's not a sweet scent. But those comparing it to Terre D'Hermes are fooling those into thinking it shares the same bright, bitter ripe orange opening - it does not. Black Touch is similar to Terre D'Hermes' drydown but that's it. Although dark, earthy, dusty/musky, it is not a beast mode scent. It projects half an arm's length for 1 hour and then stays close to the skin for 6 or so hours. It is discrete but still not a casual or every day scent in my opinion. A great scent but don't blind buy unless you're Bruce Wayne or Frank Castle.

Okay, I thought this was one of those cheapies that was "mass-appealing" in some way, based on the positive feedback, but not only is it surprisingly challenging, with the bright grapefruit bouncing off the smoky wood, it's genuinely satisfying to wear. The first day I wore this, I was catching little wafts of both the opening and the dry-down until about 3pm this afternoon, and I put it on at 6 that morning... that's a solid 9 hours, with 5 sprays to the body hot-zones and 3 to the clothes. Sure, it was a little heavy right up front, but about 15 minutes in, I wanted to spray it again just to relive the evolution. I controlled myself, but I'm genuinely excited to give it another go when it comes up in the rotation. Absolute must-have cheapie if you like Encre Noir, campfires, and sharp citrus all playing together. **Edit** Having now gotten my nose on Terre d'Hermes, I see what all the fuss was about. This is a *little* bit less refined, but it's basically the same juice.

SHARP DRY EARTHY WOODY A BIT CREAMY LIQOURICE SPICY-SWEET w/ SOME POWDERINESS earthy dry patchouli fresh-spicy (from spices + a dash of florals and musk) w/ hint of sweetness has a boozy/resinous like sweetness (maybe from geranium + vanilla???), has slight tar(ish) accord in the background but it's not prominent, and the synthetic citrus (bergamot+grapefruit) comes off a bit lemon-pledgish up close, the more it dries the smoother the composition gets; similar to encre noire sport, & Jaguar Prive' (but less sweet & slightly more dense); for the mature crowd, has some class to it especially at the price; not a very bold or loud frag, but it's density gives it decent sillage w/ trail (best in the 1st 1-2hrs, then sits close) & good longevity (especially on fabric last 24hrs);

This opens up with some pepper and orange. It has a creamy or rosy note in that adds a new dimension that isn't as popular for the genre. The dry down is good too as it mellows and becomes woody. It's smooth. As someone who love TdH, I really like that Black Touch reminds me of it, as well as reminds me of my other faves. It's my most comfortable type of scent. If you haven't experienced a fragrance that focuses on pepper-orange-woods, definitely try this. In this genre; my favourite will remain MJ Bang for it's ultra-pepper and if I need a floral note, my beloved Dunhill Desire Black. For formal events and special occasions, TdH goes to work, but as I am not an orange lover it gets the least play. For a catch-all, Black Touch would be a great alternative. Thanks

Just received a 3.4oz bottle of this in a trade. It's a fresher...lighter....version of "Encre Noire" OG. PERIOD. Lasts forever! Put a spray on each wrist around 1300 today...I can still smell it strong at 1820 this evening. Works out great, as my bottle of "Encre Noire" was reaching the end of it's lifespan. "Encre Noire" is one of the best $30 frags I've EVER purchased...But if "Black Touch" retains a more woody drydown instead of the bitter cypress/vetiver of "Encre Noire"...I won't be going back to "EN" again. Now I can add "Black Touch" to that short list of budget frags that punch WAY ABOVE their dollar amount! 24JAN24: I'm thinking that layering this with my "Jo Malone - Vetiver & Golden Vanilla" will work out verrrrrry nicely!

Whoa. When I first got this, it was for a birthday gift and smelled like a near perfect Terre D'Hermes dupe, except maybe slightly darker and woodier, with less citrus and none of that "wet asphalt" note. A year later and it macerated into literal Christmas in a bottle. Sugary oranges and a whole array of spices, and pretty much nothing else. Not only that, but it also leans towards being a traditionally feminine scent now, making it unusable for the giftee, who didn't even get to use it that much. Maybe I'll get myself a decant of the macerated result to see how it performs on me. Not sure what exactly caused this transformation, but be wary if you buy - maybe don't let it sit for that long if you're an everyday fragrance user.

I was never a big fan of terre d'hermes. Really, I hoped it would be more like encre noire than terre, but it is quite the opposite. And my god this is such a good thing for encre lovers, cause I'd like to think there is only one black ink. In short terms- IMHO not a substitute for Lalique, but really, dangerously close to terre d'hermes;) Scent itself- no teenager nonsense. Sublime parfume, skillfully put together. Mysterious, tempting, dark, and full of suprises at the end;)Gotta love it.

This one grew on me. Being so cheap this ended up being one I picked up early on in my collection. I wasn't a fan at first, due to the pretty harsh opening. But now I actually really enjoy this one. Especially considering it's 20 bucks. lasts around 6 hours. projects a bit for an hour, then sits pretty close to the skin. I basically smell citrus, cardamom, vetiver, and the cedar. good for spring and fall. Worth the money, but you don't need to go out of your way to find it.

Not even close to TdH and I don't get why I'd buy a TdH wannabe when I can buy TdH. But it delivers something great for the price. It's a... powdery vetiver with some grapefruit sprinkled on it. It's just pleasant for me and I find myself wearing it often when staying home and wanting to relax. Well worth it if you're after something to enjoy from time to time but the powdery feeling of it is absolutely not for everyone.

By far the worst perfume I got in my collection. Not because of the smell, but the lack of it! I am not sure if it was just a horrible batch that I got or it's just plain and simple a bad formula, but even when I spray it on I can barely smell the scent, not to mention that after 30 minutes there is nothing at all. I will leave it for a couple of months and hopefully it gets better. For sure it can't get any worse...

I ordered it online as present to my partner. Most of his perfume are bit fresh and daytime wear so I blindly purchased this. I sprayed and tried it on... its like..omg..a woman can wear this. Very similar to Agent Provacateur L'Agent and Christian Lacroix C'est la fete patchouli. First sprayed you can smell the patchouli not as strong as C'est la fete and it drydown to zesty incensy musk. Very sexy!

Smells as if Terre d’Hermes and Encre Noire had a love child. Elements of both fragrances but still it’s own scent. This could be a more office friendly version of Encre Noire, since it plays down some of the darker aspects of that frag. Not a beast so easy to wear and non-offensive. Overall a nice but familiar scent, but given the excellent price point worth adding to your collection. 👍🏼

Quite niche; has the spiciness of Terre d'Hermes with the dried vetiver-forward woodiness of Encre Noire. Not as citric-forward as Terre d'Hermes though, so beware if you're expecting an identical opening. Lasts around 5-6 hrs, very average sillage, a little less than arms' length. Perfect for cool weather, so spring & autumn. Nice addition if interested.

Yup, this is the baby of Terre d'hermes and Encre Noir... I own both. Its not a clone of either of those, but rather a mix of both, with additional notes that make this a darker fragrance. Became darker/fuller after maceration. I like this fragrance! Worth every penny in my opinion. Might not be for people who just got into fragrances.

To me the first blast is smooth and has a dark aroma, it smells very good for such a low price, if you like woody dark and spicy fragrances this is for you, anyway now i know why its called black touch the name suits it well, and i love the smell, and the price as well ;)

I'm not disappointed! has that incredibly realistic forest floor smell in the opening. dirt and wet rocks. really cheered me up after being let down by another blind buy definitely lemony like the zest of the fruit was sprinkled over some freshly watered soil.

Two and a half months later and this has improved drastically. It still probably needs to macerate more, but now I can smell the resemblance of mix between 2/3 TdH and 1/3 Encre Noir. It's really pleasant. Longevity is still abysmal though.

Imagine Terre d, Hermes without notice orange and vanilla note . Exceptional quality vs price ( euros 12 -100 ml ) Terre but I do not like this if I do ( I can not stand the bright orange in Terre ) Good longevity and average sillage .

Smells like half Terre D’hermes half Encre Noir. I have both so I typically wear this if I want to smell like either one of those while I’m lounging around the house. I get decent performance and the price is great. I give it a 7.5/10
