Oud Vanille

Super Sweet VANILLA-CARAMEL-OUD with Rose-Violet & Raspberry. In the first couple of minutes I get a rich caramel, and already the oud, rose & violet are swelling through. As the sillage starts to open up I get hints of raspberry and orange added to the caramel. Oud here is mostly built from ambroxan, incense and woody notes, and blended with spicy notes that include saffron (not listed) and a gorgeous floral component of rose-violet-jasmine & patchouli. This gets more vanillic with time, both on the skin and in the bottle. This has excellent performance for year round wear, but the heavier sweet profile makes this most appropriate for cooler months. Contrast to Shaghaf Oud Swiss Arabian: These are different, but there are striking similarities with a sweet & creamy oud-rose and saffron. Shaghaf Oud is a little heavier & richer, and a closer dupe of Oud Bouquet Lancôme, while Oud Vanille Franck Olivier has a more forward raspberry-violet quality from the opening into the heart. As they dry down they become more and more similar. Both have excellent performance but Shaghaf Oud outperforms. Contrast to Oud Touch Franck Olivier: These are different, but they share a similar DNA. Oud Touch is a dupe of Oud Ispahan Dior, and has a more forward frankincense (olibanum) note with its soft-green, woody, spicy, balsamic & fruity-top-note nuances. Both get quite sweet as they dry down, but Oud Vanille is more vanilla forward. Both have excellent performance. Overall: gorgeous creamy vanilla-caramel oud with rose-violet touches and excellent performance. It's a love for me. 10/10. Enjoy!

It's insanely strong, very complex and highly appealing. It blends sweet, oud, wood, spice, vanilla, rose and powder aromas together into a monster package. It's lighter and fresher than Oud Touch in the same line but has the same monstrous performance. This is insanely good value, a niche quality fragrance at a discounter price. It's totally unisex, even more so than Oud Touch, thanks to the vanilla and rose notes. Do note that it is very sweet and quite strong, and so is not really good for more serious and somber occasions. Other than that, whenever and wherever with this one. This is suitable for all weather and is best suited for younger users. The price point is amazing and the quality is off the charts. An easy recommend here if you have any interest or outright love for oud fragrances.

Sometimes the best smelling fragrances to your liking, regardless if it’s synthetic or what not, are just right under your nose 👃 at a next to nothing price 😉 I always see the ad popping on my screen for this frag, along with its sibling Franck Olivier's Oud Touch, but I simply ignored them. I thought they're just one of those trying hard cheapies seeking attention. But I was very wrong. I have been collecting since 2017 and every time I find a hidden gem, my excitement in this journey has become more and more exciting and this is one of those. I blind bought both Oud touch and Oud Vanille and both are winners in all departments at a price that will make you smile 😊 Respect to our friends who thumbed down this fragrance for a variety of reasons, but both Oud Touch and this one are olfactory wonders to my nose and guaranteed savings to my wallet. As long as the synthetic components are approved by the USFDA, and I have no allergic reaction to it, I have no issue with that. Who would think that you are wearing a $25 synthetic oud frag with niche quality? If you wear it with confidence and style appropriate for the season and occasion, this will rock 🙌 Honestly I would wear this one more comfortably over Christian Dior's Oud Ispahan, which I also own a decant and that's what my nose says. I really love this, especially now that it is colder. When fall was just beginning, I got a lot more of the sweet jammy rose from the heat of my skin and the room, but now I get more of the incense and vanilla, and less of that sweetness. When I first got this, I was hit with this intense scent memory of my aunt and uncle's old house. He was a smoker and a wood worker, and my aunt would have potpourri in bowls all over the house. This smell of smoke, vanilla, rose, and I experienced the incense smell almost like woodshavings at first, it immediately brought me back to that time and place. I find it difficult to smell the top notes listed, unless I over spray and it is warm out. This does smell somewhat harsh at first, but the dry down is gorgeous. On me, it dries down to a smoky vanilla old book smell, which I adore. I love layering this with la rive taste of kiss, which is supposed to be a dupe of la nuit tresor, for some added sweetness when the cooler weather suppresses the sweeter notes in here. No matter what other scenta I try, I just keep coming back to this one.

people, this fragrance is outstanding. if you love Vanilla and incense combination, and looking for something new, you should give that one a try. don't expect lovely vanilla. it's more like a beautiful monster, especially in the opening. even if rose is not one of your favourite notes. I am not into rose at all, but this one is different.. Oud Vanille is a sick scent, strong, dark, long-lasting. it goes through different stages and gets better, the longer it sits on your skin. the same goes for its big brother 'Oud Touch' which has an even harsher opening and extreme longevity. they both shine in the air the most, don't rate them with the nose on your skin. In the later stages, Oud Vanille becomes such a pleasant smell, that I could wear it in the office. longevity is about 10 to12 hours, projection is an arms-length for hours. what does it smell like: the opening is sweet honey, caramel, oud, incense, vanilla, rose, musk, raspberry. the dry down is vanilla, caramel, a hint of oud, warm spicy, woody, musk. distinctive.

Oh, boy! I could not wait to review this one. I am a huge fan of Franck Olivier line - Touch. This is pretty similar to Oud Touch. The masculine rose is about the same. The rest of the make up of these two are different. Oud touch will last longer and has that salty oud smoke dry-down. This one, Oud Vanille has a more vanilla smoke dry-down. That soft raspberry and rose and slightly oudy tinge just keeps on wafting you all day long. Performance performance performance. I wish the other houses would learn from Franck Olivier and make their frags to this quality. I do not find this line synthetic at all. They are all very well blended and peaked and tuned to perfection. Oud Vanille is a good, solid vanilla and caramel gourmand treat. The rose just gives it a touch of class. I think a woman could pull this frag off easily. I can see the ladies really liking this fragrance. Longevity: 9.5/10 Sillage: 8.8/10 Projection: 9/10 (first 8 hours) afterwards losing 1 point per hour..its damn good. Scent: 9.8/10 Overall: 9.7/10

I got this pyramid from basenotes.net Top Notes: Orange, Raspberry Heart Notes: Amyris essence, Cedarwood, Cardamom, Geranium, Patchouli, Rose, Sandalwood Base notes: Benzoin, Cistus flower, Labdanum, Vanilla A beautifully smoky, deep incense fragrance. At first, I got burnt tires and thought, oh no, but that went away rather quickly. This is actually quite complex. I get a little bit of rose and patchouli, not too sweet vanilla, rich benzoin, spicy geranium, smoky cardamom, and dry, earthy labdanum. I didn't get any sweetness in the top from caramel, orange, or raspberry, but I'm sure if I want sweetness, this will be easy to layer with more feminine sugared perfumes or something simple like Demeter Caramel. I think this is unisex, but I can see why people have reviewed it as masculine. It's inexpensive and definitely long-lasting with medium sillage. I think it does well in cooler weather, it's good on me today in the windy, wintry northeast. Overall, this is a pleasant incense and I love it.

Franck Olivier to be honest has launched some gems which unfortunately have not received the same kind of response as some other budget brands. Oud Vanille is absolutely stunning. Sweet, Vanilla, Oud and Caramel. It is a blind buy for all those who love sweet fragrances. I disagree with the comments which rate this as an incense fragrance. Oud is a eastern fragrance and it should be treated the same way. If you don't have a taste for it then please do not opt for Oud options. It is perfectly unisex but in general tilting more towards male fragrances. It is one of the few budget scents which genuinely has strong projection and longevity. Do not over-spray. It is primarily a winter fragrance but it is possible to wear this in summers within spaces having good ventilation - or outdoors. The presentation is average but acceptable. It can be a good gift for someone you know and whom you can explain that the crux is the juice. Amazing fragrance. Astounding in fact, if you consider the price tag.

Beautiful bottle, the fragrance starts very sweet, flowery rosey sweet. Mostly the raspberry, and just a distant citric reminiscence of orange. Then it is the rose, super strong, a little synthetic but nice. A little like and old perfume. Very flowery and sweet, just a little tint of burnt incense. It goes like this for about an hour. But then comes the magic. Awesome wood, like a forgotten bookshelf. But soft, very aromatic. Not just wood, bit little sparks of sweet flowers. Very formal, but I use it whenever I feel like it, even in the heat. When it dries down it reminds me of LV Ombre Nomade. Wood and rose. I do not feel the Vanille, maybe just a faint feel of it. Not for everyone, smells a little like an old store of incense and magic. Maybe for fragrance lovers. But it is the basic oud and rose combination, which I love. I love this fragrance even though I know it is not the best. It last an eternity. It is beautiful. But maybe a lot of people won't like it. I 8/10.

It is my dream fragrance. It is unisex but this one is more mature and more masculine. You clearlz get the vanille and Oud although there is not any Oud in it and it is warm and spicy. Oud Bouqet from Lancome, Shaghaf Oud by Swiss Arabian and Oud Mood by Lattafa are all similar but more on the feminine side. Although all of them are unisex. But with Franck Olivier I am not afraid to wear this as a man. It is suitable during day and night in all 4 seasons as long as you go light on the trigger. The longevity of this fragrance is amazing and the projection is one of the best. I really do recommend this perfume to any mature masculine, who wants a niche gourmand fragrance. My wife already is wearing Shaghaf Oud from Swiss Arabian, my mum wears Oud Mood and me I am wearing Franck Olivier Oud Vanille. A really nice bouqet.

Nice western oud with rose and smokey accords. Starts off just like Crytal oud by Maubussin very light and watery no big opening for me, after that the frag starts to amp up the rose with the oud tagging along for the ride throughout but well behaved thank goodness as i hate skanky oud! After about 2 hrs the smokey incense kicks in to dance with the rose and oud becoming dominant but not over powering the oud and rose, and for me thats what it stays as until its just a pleasant skin scent. good 7 to 9 hrs floating round you and skin scent for up to 24hrs + probably from your clothes which i find rose clings to an wont give up. not a beast for me but very persistant and if you like rose ouds its a no brainer buy because of the smoky incense that changes its outlook. So gorgeous. The first 5 minutes are dominated by alcohol, patchouli and raspberry. But the drydown is heaven. Vanilla, raspberry, oud and powdery violet. The oud is quite subtle, not overpowering or animalistic. Such a smooth, comforting and luxurious scent. An absolute steal for the 20€ I paid. It stays on my skin for around 6 hours, but on clothes it last almost 12 hours. When spraying on clothes, I'm in this beautiful scent bubble for hours. I'd say it's unisex. Definitely worth a blind buy. Some says this scent reminds of Lattafa's Oud Mood. I own both. There are some similarities, but Oud Vanille has more fruit and is more powdery, whereas Oud Mood has more incense and a stronger oud note. Oud Vanille is the winner though when it comes to performance and overall composition.

This is an awesome deal for under $30. The smell is amazing. It's got that oud feel, woody and niche-like, though there is no agarwood listed in the notes. The vanilla is gorgeous, so is the rose. The incense smolders but doesn't overwhelm. It all works so well together and is definitely for a man or woman. It comes off as a much more expensive perfume and performance backs that up. It lasts all day and on clothes I could still smell it days later. You may laugh at this, but I've layered it with Jessica Simpson's Fancy. They have some common notes that make them work well together and by adding Fancy over top of Oud Vanille you get a smoothness and creaminess that really enhances it. And it certainly makes Fancy more interesting and edgy. Both nice on their own but together, wow.

I blind bought this some time ago when I really got into collecting in a more serious way. I was paring down my collection to sell, saw this and tried it again. All I can say is this stuff rocks. It reminds me a lot of Kalemat- oud-y woody warm and a touch sweet. Unlike Kalemat which is lovely but doesn't last, oud Vanille really lasts - and is so much cheaper. I can't believe how good this is for the price. If you like wood and vanilla you really should try it. I personally think it's completely blind buy worthy. Moving this to my bedside table. Would make a gorgeous scent to wear to bed. Perfectly unisex to my nose. 10/10. I wouldn't probably wear this in the summer necessarily but maybe at bed.

I just got this fragrance today and at first it was super surprising. I sprayer it on my hand and it burned my nose like i sniffed some alcohol straight up. U definately gotta give it like 5 minutes cuz that’s when u start to smell the nice rose and vanilla and light oud combo. I haven’t smelled a lotta oud but this one smells just like velvet oud and rose by jo malone and it was like way way cheaper so i’m very happy. It feels a little weird to wear this as a dude cuz it’s heavy on the rose but i like it so idrc. Try to get this into another bottle or a travel sprayer tho cuz the bottle leaks and it is really shitty but overall this is a very good frag and i reccomend it for oud and rose lovers.

those who enlisted or suggest dunhill desire extreme or the mancera here, i dont think it smells like either of those.its pretty much like how velvet orchid and black orchid are cousins, the cousin for this one would be oud touch, on the opening they are similar in many ways but drydown goes lil different.this one is softer compared to oud touch and the beautiful vanilla starts popping in after about 5 hours or so which i found delicious with caramel, oud and peppers....its 65% feminine and 35% male but if you like tom fords and dior homme line, you should have no issues with this fragrance as a man.sexy juice at a cheap price...very impressive...great longevity , for cold weathers...unisex 9/10

Niche Quality fragrance. I have around 70 fragrances all of them designers and no single one comes close to Franck Olivier oud Vanilla. Longevity and sillage is out of this world, believe me when I say that. Basically 5 sprays will keep you for a full day in cold winter, sillage still strong after 8 hours of wear ! Literally can smell whiffs of it every second. Not a single fragrance can match this beasts performance, the second best one I have is 1 million Elixir which stops projecting in about 3-4 hours and Mugler A*men which is a beast but stops projecting after 4-5hrs. Do not overspray as this is really a nuclear bomb. A really nice and beautiful scent and a compliment gather.

#432 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This has some aspects of Shaghaf Oud and Oud Mood Lataffa (I have and love both), but it's much fruitier, so worth having on its own. The raspberry and orange combination here really works for me in the opening, but of course doesn't last into the dry down which is mostly vanilla, cedar and powder. It leans unisex. I'm usually not down for rose notes at all, but there have been exceptions, and this is one of them as the rose not prominent, just noticeable as a floral component. I think for me this is primarily a date night scent, not for office wear. Makes it to lunch on my skin. There's nothing here to dislike, so for $20 why not?
