Laskarina

I know that we all have different skin chemistry, and with that being said, I personally would never put this in the fruity floral category. Neither fruity nor floral at all. Even though tobacco notes are not listed, that is what I smell more than anything. This opens with ambroxan, grapefruit & pear. Its not harsh, its very nice. It doesn't change too much, it mostly just softens up. After a few hours it slowly transitions into fresh cigarette tobacco with a touch of amber like in Jasmin Et Cigarette. It does settle after many hours with a little sweetness. The longevity is superb. After a 10 hour shift I can still smell it... and more importantly, that residual scent is still great and defined. Outstanding!

What a lovely scent to add to the rotation. An incense-y, tobacco-y, iris softened by gentle pear and rose notes. This is just lovely -- so romantic -- feels like a wedding day scent <3 My boyfriend says I smell like a sweet fresh-rolled cigarette, but like, in a good way. The drydown has a slight licorice/cherry, syrupy vibe that reminds me a tad of Mad About You from Pierre Guillaume. Opening is a sparkly floral pear more akin to Dom Rosa. I know this is so odd but the first time I smelled Diptyques Volutes, to me it smelled just like this. I instantly fell in love. I have no idea what I was sampling bc when I smelled Volutes again, I got a spicy, arrid powdery vibe akin to Chergui.

Delicious fruity-floral. When I was in my teens and early twenties, I only wore fruity-floral perfumes. When my taste developed, I started appreciating complex, heavy fragrances. This is the only fruity-floral that impressed me in the last 5 years. It is really special in the sea of chemical sludge of fragrances recently released. The main note to my nose is juicy pear. The rest of the notes compliment it perfectly. It is very delicate and girly and will be perfect for spring and colder summer days. If you like Delina but it's too young or too much for you, this is more delicate and well blended, but still in a similar category.

This Love started my fragance wardrobe, and after many sniffing sessions, she is still a big favourite. Laskarina is to me a floriental. A rose with dark edges of olibanum, amber and iris, spiced up with pepper against a background of sweet tobacco, that comes forward in the drydown. Feminine, sexy and mysterious. Lasts long, but slightly changes and softens over time. Great work by Amélie Bourgeois (and more of her work impressed me)!

Everyone seems to smell smth. else here. On my skin it is a bright and airy kind of pear-rose-olibanum combo, in dry-down with a hint of powdery slight peppery iris. Summery and fine. I see it as a first scent for a very young girl wearing a white sun hat and a dress with flowers or dots wavely blown by a breeze on the seaside. Actually a very feminine concoction

My lovely Laskarina, randomly picked her as a sample, I had no expectations and I am hooked. I cant point my finger on what it smells but I do get that buttery peppery but still fresh scent that is very unique and beautiful. It took almost a year to find a bottle and the money at the same time, but now she is home <3

Sweet opening turning to a slightly peppery, warm, spiced fruit floral. I absolutely love it and so does my wife. It is definitely unique and I haven't smelled anything like it. Perfect for winter and Autumn though in saying that I am wearing it today in the springtime .. delicious.

first of all, definitely a unisex fragrance! extremely well blended smoky olibanum, spices and amber/ambroxan that give it a waxy vibe.

Weird how everyone is getting something different from this one. Takes a good while to settle on skin then falls into woody white musk category for me with a bite of peppery Bulgarian rose. I can’t get any citrus or fruit. I thought there was cedar in it as well, but that’s probably the ambroxan and pepper, which become dominant over time. I do get the sentiment of a freshly rolled cigarette or sweet tobacco, noted by someone below. i am surprised I like it as it’s not my style and seems rather clean, modern, androgynous, and inoffensive. It’s not particularly memorable but it smells expensive.

It smells like a sweet Duchess pear soda drink for the first four hours, then in the base, I feel more of some extremely dry wood which will work well on both men and women, unlike the first couple of hours of pear sweetness. It's good perfume but it is not romantic or sexy at all if you are looking for something like that. I want to add, that it is too scratchy for my nose, this dry wood note is irritating. I heard ambrowoody notes can cause this scratchinness

Fruity/woody ambroxan and pepper. Pleasant. Causes a good amount of nose blindness, so performance is probably fine, but I just can't smell it much after 2 hrs. Also, I have Malia by Nobile 1942, and this smells nothing like it to my nose. That's a herbal chypre.

I got this as a sample to try. On me this scent is very, very sweet, like sugar sweet, feminine but I don’t pick up on florals. I don’t get any of the amber or green spicy listed in the fragrantica notes. Dry down is musky, nice, but light. Fragrance at first is strong but became a skin scent after 2 hours. It’s nice, I just don’t think it’s for me. I gave away the sample I had. Maybe I’ll give it another try in the future.

This one reminds me ALLOT of "Malia" by Nobile 1942 with that mango, cream whip, tobacco blossoms, & pepper. But in here i can detect sweet creamy pears, vanilla coriander, sweet iris, & woods and NO it's not cloying from all those stated sweet notes above. I can't detect any grapefruit! at least for the drydown! This is the second that i liked so far. Beautiful.

Just got a sample of this. Immediate resemblance to Valentino Uomo. Perhaps this one leaning a bit more floral and iris heavy.
