The Orchid Man

[JAN 2021] They say scent evokes the closest sense to memory, so that in mind I can see why I'm so attracted to this seemingly non-offensive perfume. I live 7 minutes from a fragrance shop down the road so before I explain why I like The Orchid Man, just a quick thought how this compares to Aventus. [PART ONE] Aventus - Bergamot, vetiver and pineapple from the get go - Strong-to-moderate performance (one spray) The Orchid Man - Leather, oakmoss, and amber from the get go - Moderate performance (two sprays) Firstly, The Orchid Man does not smell like orchids. That aside, does this really compare to Aventus? This note structure can also be found in many other perfumes... perhaps its because the oakmoss + amber body smells like pineapple? I won't be surprised, this is a Frapin after all. But I find Aventus much brighter and a hint sharper and "effervescent" because of the emphasis on bergamot, pineapple and vetiver. Orchid Man is more rounded, earthy, and mossy in comparison and a bit more "subdued". But at the price of Aventus, you might as well buy a Clive Christian, Cartier Heures series, Roja Dove, two Floris, a Tom Ford, or Amouage. In Australia, a Creed costs as much as these! By nature of its price, I'd recommend: -Take "The Orchid Man" over "Aventus" ($229 vs $459!) or even - Save up for an Aventus to buy a Clive Christian "L" Chypre Floral, Roja Dove Enigma Cologne, Tom Ford Tuscan Leather or Amouage Crimson Rocks / Jubilation Man instead! ($380 - $480) [PART TWO] I picked The Orchid Man also because it has a similar oakmoss twang to Roja Dove's Enigma Cologne (which I'd surely buy over The Orchid Man if it werent for the exorbitant price.) There's something addictive (to me) about both of their oakmoss amber combo and picking up this particular sweety dry hay-ish, chewed tobacco-like combo. But what won me over personally was that when I was a kid, my dad let me keep his Boss Bottled. My senses werent as fine tuned as then but that apple-cinnamon combo was unmistakeable. I wondered "whats a perfume that smells like this but more realistic and natural?" And it only took me years later to find this! No apple or cinnamon here but that rounded cologne smell is undeniable. But as much as nostalgia could convince me, I'd be happy to take The Orchid Man because of that pleasant hay-moss smell. And at this particular concentration, The Orchid Man will never get on your nerves or tire you so it makes one perfectly content to sniff this all day. The Orchid Man may not be a powerhouse like its referenced heavyweight boxer, but this is a delightful comfort scent! And there's nothing wrong with that. Some days you feel yourself to be a refined, mature person in touch with the outback and the depth of Earth. But you also sometimes want to be understated and cozy. Whether a tweed wearing person or not, if this fits your bill, The Orchid Man is for you! PS: The Orchid Man is also a perfect perfume to judge the quality of other perfumes also, by its note pyramid's seemingly "standard"/"copied" nature which exists in other perfumes. If other perfumes don't smell as convincing in ingredients as this, keep looking! UPDATE: I now have a Creed and it is one of my Top Florals of all time (in 2021.) Love this one! I’ve been looking for something in the vein of Aventus but a bit toned down, less loud and aggressive. I recently owned and used Micallef Royal Vintage, which I liked, but found a little boring due to its, at times, too-reserved performance and generally darker, more serious character. The Orchid Man has taken care of those issues, and as a result I prefer it to Royal Vintage and believe it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. To begin, it’s very pleasantly bright. The bergamot opens juicy and sparkling, leaning more apple than citrus, and has a refreshing and natural quality. It isn’t sharp, it doesn’t hit you over the head with chemicals...it’s really a pleasure to smell, and a nice opening you’ll want to experience again and again. It’s followed by a mossy woods, kind of like something in the vein of cypress and oakmoss, brighter than the cypress in Royal Vintage but still retaining some of its prickly piney character albeit very clean and almost, but not quite, soapy. It’s an energetic, clean woody/mossy accord and feels traditionally masculine. The juicy/fruity bergamot remains, but also settles in and blends further into the woods which really then become the core. Finally, The Orchid Man takes on a smooth, (once again) clean, somewhat soft leather that becomes the base and final development of the scent. While notes from the previous stages remain, the leather and woods now seem to share about equal footing in the composition. This is a good fragrance, and one that I’m really looking forward to wearing on something of a daily basis in the fall, as it’s discreet enough to be worn to work but interesting enough to keep me satisfied due to its naturalness and the vivid, clearly defined notes that compose it. Performance is solid; reserved but present projection for a good 4 to 6 hours with overall longevity around 8. Don’t get this if you want a loud but cheaper version of Aventus. This one has its own lane and is one of just a few “Aventus-inspired” fragrances I’m happy to know and use. Final rating: 9/10. Recommended for sampling. FWIW, I prefer this to the Creed..

The fragrance clearly moves within the same stylistic territory as Creed Aventus — a refined fruity-fresh brightness over a smooth woody base — but interpreted with far more restraint and transparency. Where Aventus projects confidence and contrast, The Orchid Man feels softer, more relaxed, and quietly elegant, privileging balance over impact. The evolution is seamless and controlled. Nothing dominates, nothing overwhelms. The fragrance remains transparent, poised, and effortlessly wearable, with a calm, cultivated character. Projection is moderate and intimate, longevity respectable but never intrusive — perfectly aligned with its refined personality. What defines The Orchid Man is its mood: relaxed elegance. It feels like the scent of a slow weekend morning — composed, fresh, and impeccably put together without trying too hard. Not a loud or dramatic fragrance, but one of balance, taste, and quiet distinction.

I was finally able to get my hands on a sample of this. What a great fragrance! Right away i can see the resemblance to Creed Aventus, it's unmistakable actually. ... but this is more like Creed Aventus for the athlete, and not meant for "suits". Let me put it this way: (from Rocky I) Creed Aventus is what Apollo Creed would've worn and Orchid Man is what Rocky Balboa would've worn. It's a great scent; it reminds me of what gym or barracks showers smell like, it's sharp and clean and the mild, slight smell of the leather equipment wafting in from the gym as you get dressed. Performance is good but not great. I already own Aventus which performs very well for me, so owning this would be somewhat redundant in my opinion. And easy 8 out of 10, if i ever find a good enough deal I'm going to buy this anyway, even though i just said i wouldn't.

Extremely pleasant, is how I would describe this cologne - and it definitely has a cologne vibe, not a perfume vibe, even if it's supposed to be an EDP. It's a very refreshing fragrance suitable for the heights of summer, including humid weather. It is not: challenging, interesting, or exciting. However I enjoy wearing it. I agree with the general consensus that this is very similar to Aventus - minus the pineapple. The bergamot note is very good - zesty and sparkling. The pepper adds a further punch to the opening. Leather comes through in the drydown. When I first tried this I thought it was almost identical to Aventus, but the more I wear it, the differences are becoming more noticeable - really in the degree of weight/heft. Aventus feels a bit more three-dimensional.

SMH! It's getting to the point if a fragrance shares one main note with Aventus people will claim they smell the same or similar to Aventus. I have The Orchid Man on one hand and Aventus on the other and they smell nothing alike. The Orchid Man opens up with a spicy sour/bitter lemon-like bergamot blast. After a couple of minutes, a well-blended dry earthy oakmoss creeps in and adds to the spice of the pepper. The citrus notes stay throughout the lifespan of the fragrance, but as the scent develops into the mid and dry down, it becomes a fresh very faint floral earthy leather smell. All in all, this is a very pleasant well blended fragrance that balances freshness and earthiness to perfection.

Crisp, sophisticated, refined. Starts off very fresh, green and citrusy, like crushed leaves mixed with squeezed lemons. Gradually moves into more grounded, mossy territory - still green but deeper and darker. I get some richness from the leather, and a touch of smoke, but it’s very paired back. In general it’s a smoothly blended composition, with no single note overpowering. Good performance, leans masculine but a woman can pull it off.

I love this. It's perfect for my intentions. Elegance, longevity, but not overpowering. Manly but with a subtle sweetness blended in perfectly. Not going to steal the show and instead gently mixes in and creates a warm, inviting aura. With more projection and sillage I think this would be too much for my intentions and would take away from this frag. That being said it has good longevity. I was still getting wafts off arm 8 hrs in.

The bottle design is great. It features a functional, user-friendly shape designed to fit perfectly in your grip. I was very intrigued by the decal on the back of the bottle. The atomizer has an incredibly smooth, luxurious pump action with a satisfying amount of travel, allowing for easy sprays. The scent itself is unisex but may lean masculine. The combination of the notes gives it a pleasant scent that isn't overpowering.

A simple and beautiful aromatic chypre style scent. The perfume opens with notes of bergamot and pepper before going to a brief heart of jasmine and leather. It settles on a powdery bed of amber, patchouli and oakmoss. Clean distinguished gentleman masculine leaning scent with moderate sillage and longevity. Very nice work setting suited scent. Enjoy!

Recently added this to my collection. A blind buy. After a couple of wearings, this is like Aventus the same way Burger Kings is Like McDonalds. No Smoke. No Pineapple. No Ambergris. no Juniper berries.....IJS. Any-who this Frapin Fan boy rates it 9 out of 10 (first impression)

Very close to Floris 1976. I get an apple vibe here. Overall, very enjoyable and easy to wear, and even though it is a bit too subdued for my liking, and I prefer the Floris, I'd still call this a dumb reach.

Gorgeous. Yes, Aventus vein but brighter and of course, longer lasting!

I love the name "the orchid man", and just now I read the story. I feel like they wasted a great name for a fragrance and an opportunity to really make a scent that was fitting for a boxer. Instead it's a riff on the Aventus theme. Don't get me wrong, it smells nice. I sampled this from noseparis, 1.5ml came free with a recent purchase. The "pineapple", or citrus opening in most of these Aventus style fragrances is not loud and obnoxious in orchid man. I like that. There's also a nice subtle slight hint of that pepper that works well with transitioning to the dry down. It becomes a bit more earthy than other Aventus style fragrances I've tried. The moss really comes through in the dry down. I like the subtle leather note in this one. I think it stands out as my favorite Aventus style fragrance so far because of the leather. I do like the birch in most other Aventus clones, but I don't miss it in orchid man, I think because I really like how it differs being earthier and with that addition of the leather. Longevity was good and projection was consistent with the longevity but wasn't very strong, almost intimate. This fragrance I think would be much better if projection/sillage were amped up. Overall first impression it's an Aventus type that I'm not really sold on this scent profile, although I think this is one of the better ones. If I really wanted an Aventus fragrance, I would get this if it projected better. Worth sampling if you like Aventus or any of the others inspired by it.

The opening couple of minutes smell exactly like Aventus. After that it dries down to a medium spicy oakmoss and patchouli. It has little woody pencil shaving undercurrent. It has so so longevity & light projection sillage to my nose. It's nice, but full retail of 180 is way way overpriced imo. For that price you could get something else superior to this Even discounted on the gray market for around 80, I still wouldn't buy it. In the end, it's got some different facets of Aventus, but to say they are not related is asinine. I'd say it is somewhere in the lower middle of the pack of these types of scents. I'd say it's not as good as MDCI Bleau Satin, Bond. com, Hacivat, or Morning chess. It's better than Tiziana Terenzi Orion, Mont Blanc Explorer, and Armaf CDNIM. -------------------------------------------------- Summary: a good option with some slight twists. If you can find a 100ml for around 40-60 bucks and you don't already have something in this category, it's worth checking out. But if I was on a budget, I'd try and find a cheap bottle of Hacivat. Scent 6.5/10 Performance 3/10

Ok so this is definitely in the Aventus-like category, however with some substantial differences. Notably there is a lot of emphasis on the oakmoss accord, meaning the whole thing feels quite earthy with much less 'ambergris' in the base, although I still get some of that radiating saltiness. Little to minimal fruitiness, in Orchid Man the most you get is a sweetened bergamot vibe. I definitely get a robust patchouli backbone, the lighter woodier variety, like in Aventus. Definitely less smokey leather. I haven't smelled Aventus for many years, so I may not be correctly representing the newest reformulation, but I remember it being about 70% similar. Most importantly it definitely succeeds at delivering the same fresh sweet and earthy modernized playfully retro chypre crossed with aromatic fougere vibe, bright but mossy, meant to be worn with semi formal all the way to full on formal. The price difference really makes me reconsider Creed prices, because Orchid Man smells just as high quality.

Ah, yes. Aventus indeed. The Orchid Man (TOM) is indeed Frapin's interpretation of Creed Aventus. The same furity bergamot opening, with slight harsh spicy woodiness that dials down minutes laters. It dries down to a fruity bergamot scent with green (patchouli/okamoss) aspect, slight leather, mild spiciness. Citrusy, fruity, patchouli, mossy, green. It is a decent clone. It does smell extremely similar to Armaf CDNIM, that it's totally redundant to own both. Of all the Aventus scents, including Aventus itself, Nishane Hacivat remains my favorite. The aquatic twist they added is magnificent! Anyhow, TOM is mass appealing, masculine fragrance. Better suited for warmer days. "Like".

Very fresh, green, and crisp opening, like slightly ripe bergamot pulp that turns into a soft leather and bitter mossy note. There's a touch of floral in the backdrop for some balance, but the moss and leather definitely lingers. Keeps fresh. Definitely in the Aventus family, I'd say a cousin. Great for warm/hot weather, definitely needs some heat. Sits at arms' length, lasts around 4 hrs on average, has to be reapplied.

This is similar to Aventus minus the pineapple note. It is very-very close to Armaf iDivo minus the harsh citrus opening. It's almost identical, 98%. So you can smell just as this Frapin with much less money. The Armaf after the initial citrus opening becomes the same as Orchid Man. Performance is moderate overall. The Armaf has slightly better projection while the Frapin is smoother and more discreet.

Have a sample of this and wore it for a day trying to work out why it smelt so familiar. Realised it smells almost identical to Versace Eros energy on my skin. A bit of Mont Blanc explorer vibe too. Definitely Aventus style DNA but Aventus smells more pineapple and natural/expensive in my opinion! Longevity and sillage is ok. Probably an 8/10 overall.

A more subdued Aventus that, as a wearer, I find more enjoyable to wear though my wife LOVES Aventus. This is what I'd wear if I want the Aventus vibe just for myself. The bergamot and leather are well blended and the jasmine is in the back seat just rounding it out with the patchouli. Dry down is exquisite.

I get huge fresh / aventus vibes with this one, and I love it.. but the performance really does leave a lot to be desired, especially at this price point. After a few hours neither me nor my girlfriend could smell any trace of it on my skin. A real shame, because the opening is magnificent.

It is indeed very close to Aventus but way less potent and less smokey. So overall more accessible but a bit too light. If if I had to choose, I'd probably go with Cedrat boisé (intense is even better imo). 7,5/10

Definitely more of a men's cologne. Reminds me of a fougere. Citrus and bitter/sweet in the top. This MUST have some fruit in it not noted.

This perfume does not have a raison d'etre.

Very classic citrus-earthy masculine cologne scent, which I guess is now always ascribed to Aventus. It’s a shame the designers aren’t making this scent profile for mass consumption these days, as it’s easy to like and unimaginative, a good signature scent for lots of guys who wouldn’t be bothered to look any further. To be fair this is very high quality ... it leaves me bored but satisfied. The “orchid” name is misleading and I wonder what they were thinking. I was expecting something like Reflection Man or Black Orchid, but this fragrance isn’t remotely floral. No one cares, as they scan past the bottle on a store shelf or website, about the backstory of some orchid guy what did a thing. Hell, I’m covered in the scent and I still don’t care.

My skin tends to suck perfumes, so I've had some bloom with this just for the first hour (maybe slightly more), and I was glad: if you're sensitive to floral notes, this will smell very floral. Very. Luckily it's male-ish anyway, because of the sensory context, but it wasn't pleasing and I had to resell at about 80% of the bottle, after giving it some chance.

On the first spray/opening you can immediately distinguish the "Aventus style", although not a clone. Opens up citrusy and floral from the jasmine, but dries down to a dusty patchouli and moss heavy fragrance, vaguely reminding me of Nishane Hacivat. Try before buying, I'm not a fan.

Aventus minus the amazing pineapple note. I've always been lucky with my Aventus batches, but I expect this would smell exactly like that for those "pineappless" ones. Nice, the leather settles to something quite refined and elegant, but it's a formula that has been done better before. Speakeasy will remain the only win for me with Frapin.

It doesn't take long for the amazing opening to become pretty much a skin scent (8 sprays on chest). I'm I anosmic to the drydown?

It's fresh, inoffensive, and completely un-memorable.

ناپلئون، کارپن تیه و برادوک بین شخصیت متعهد، مصمم، سخت کوش و البته لطیف "جیمز. جی برادوک" در فیلم مرد سیندرلایی و مشت زن فرانسوی الهام بخش ساخت عطر ارکید من، "ژرژ کارپن تیه"، رشته های نامریی و ظریفی وجود داره که از اشتراک بین این دو چهره در برخورداری از طبعی لطیف سخن میگه. از مشت زن عاشق خانواده تا مشت زن عاشق نمایش و ماجراجریی، از مردی که برای آسایش خانواده تا پای مرگ میره تا مردی که برای تجربه های تازه و ماجراجویی هر چالشی رو به جان میخره، ارتباطی وجود داره که لطیف، معصوم، تازه و مسبوق به سابقست. مردانی بی باک و جسور که علی رغم تمام سر سختی هاشون، شاعر، عاشق و لطیف هستن و همین نقطه ی اشتراک هست که به نوعی عامل پیوند به تاریخ میشه تا در ظواهر و فضاهایی متفاوت، اما با درونمایه و شاکله بسیار مشابه، به چهره هایی نظیر ناپلئون بناپارت برسیم. بله، ناپلئون بناپارت جاه طلب، بلند پرواز و سرکش که در ورای تمام این لایه های نفوذ ناپذیر، مردی عاشق و لطیف بود. همین پیوستگی عاطفی شخصیت های الهام بخش، شاید فصل مشترک عطر ارکید من با اونتوس جهانگشا و پر سر و صدا باشه: اونتوس-ناپلئون، ارکید من-کارپن تیه، قدرتمند و سرکش، لطیف و ماجراجو. ریشه های تشابه این دو عطر، در چنین زمینی نشستن و قد کشیدن. علی رغم تشابه شگفت انگیز ارکید من با فضای کاملا آشنای سیتروسی، میوه ای-مشروبی و کمی خزه ای اونتوس، اما این عطر به زیبایی تفاوت های خودش با اون عطر رو در لایه های ظریفی از امضای عطرهای فراپین که سر آمد اونها 1270 هست، رقم میزنه. بخوام راحت تر بگم، ارکید من از بهجت و نشاط اونتوس بر بستر دلچسب میوه ای- اسپایسی-نوشیدنی و نرم عطر 1270 حرف میزنه و این ترکیب ملس میوه ای سیتروسی کوکتیل مانند، به زیبایی در حاشیه هایی خزه ای، وانیلی و نرم تنیده شده. بخش دوم نمایش ارکید من، از ادغام این فضا در پایه ای خزه ای، چرمی و کمی دودی رقم میخوره. جاییکه با گذشت زمان، اون حس اونتوس مانند آغاز، بیشتر و بیشتر در چرم و خزه و وتیور غرق میشه تا بخوبی شاهد نمایشی از پرداخت به وجوه ظریف و خیال پردازانه ی ژرژ باشیم که با شخصیت مبارز، جنگنده و تسلیم نشدنی اون تلفیق شده. تردیدی وجود نداره که اونتوس، بیش از ناپلئون در فتح سرزمین های مختلف و سلطه بر قلب ساکنان اونها موفق بوده و تردیدی نیست که تا سالها در جهان عطر شاهد تأثیرات اون خواهیم بود. اما تأثیر اونتوس بر عطری مثل ارکید من، بیشتر شبیه به یک اقتباس هست. اقتباس از تشابهات شخصیتی و اشتراکات موجود در نوع نگاه و تفکر این افراد. ناپلئون، کارپن تیه و برادوک، همگی با روحی از مبارزه و جسارت و بلندپروازی به هم مرتبط میشن که باعث میشه زبان اونتوس و ارکید من، زبان معطر مناسبی برای توصیف اونها باشه. با تمام این اوصاف، اما ارکید من برای بنده عمیق تر، قدرتمتدتر و دلچسب تر از اونتوس هست. بویژه بخاطر سایه های چرمی-خزه ای پایانش که به زیبایی با امضای فراپین و تم اونتوس، تلفیق شده... کامنت: م.ع (سایت لوکس بایر (با امکان تست سمپل

Fragrance -The Orchid Man Frapin Bottle from - 2015 The Orchid Man opens on my skin with a bright,citrusy, lemony and fresh bergamot laying on top of a bit earthy, bitter and dry oakmoss. Soon enough,spicy and a bit pungent black pepper comes into the game and bring some warmth. After about 35 minutes,romantic jasmine starts to emerge.At this point,in the middle,dominant notes are pepper and jasmine with a hint of fruitiness and with a nice touch of a bit dark and harsh leather.The floral note is strong but The Orchid Man is never too floral. This all leads into a bit deep,dark,musky,more peppery, animalic and ambery base with a wisper of rough and earthy patchouli. The Orchid Man is a beautiful example of transition from a bit fresh,citrusy and bright frangrance to a dark,earthy and a bit animalic scent.It has some similarities to Aventus by Creed. Longevity - 8/10(8+ hours) Silage/Projection - 7,5/10(moderate projection and silage for the first 2-3 hours) Weather -For more or less any time of year.Best in early autumn,spring and summer.I personally wouldn't wear this on a really cold winter days. Versatility - 9/10 Age - 20+ Compliments - 8/10 Scent - 8,5/10 Main notes according to me - oakmoss,black pepper,bergamot,leather,jasmine. The drydown is a bit peppery,musky,ambery and animalic and I get some -pepper,moss,leather,patchouli and amber. Emotions -elegant,class,likeable,appealing,pleasant,sophisticated. I’ve previously owned The Orchid Man and Aventus; in some ways this fragrance does things a little better for my taste than Aventus. The opening of The Orchid Man is less fruity, more crisp, and lacks the subtle sweetness of aventus. The overall profile is a more ethereal experience, and the dry down is less smoky and more green. That being said, I feel as though this fragrance is a little bit soulless. I don’t mind when houses take a DNA and try to create something new that goes in a different direction, however this fragrance just doesn’t do enough to differentiate itself and ultimately feels like Aventus-light. Frapin, like many other houses, don’t like to admit that they’re cloning Aventus and that bothers me more than clone houses just straight up admitting what they’re doing (at least clone houses are transparent about it). Instead houses like Frapin feed us ridiculous origin stories about the inspiration of their fragrances - why even bother making up a story when your consumers know it’s BS? From Frapin: “Boxing, like perfume, is about facing yourself. An encounter of rituals and studied gestures”... *eyerolls* If you don’t like the fruitiness, modern ’masculine’ style molecules or the smoky birch accord in Aventus and want something a little more sharp, traditional and straightforward, I would suggest The Orchid Man.

If you want an inexpensive version of Aventus, look no further....The Orchid Man is your go-to fragrance. Bergamot, Black pepper, Leather, Amber, and the Patchouli is what you get at first spray. This fragrance is a pretty linear fragrance as it does not change. Pretty much stays the same throughout which is not a bad thing just an observation. As I have tried to distinguish between both Aventus and The Orchid Man, I am really having a hard time; many have pointed out the pineapple ingredient in Aventus that you will not get in The Orchid Man, unfortunately, I am not detecting this difference; there is this smoky feel I get that is amazing.... Both smell quite similar...yet, great! projection...6.5 out of 10 longevity...6.5 out of 10 sillage...7 out of 10 overall...7.5 out of 10 If you don't have $300 for Aventus, maybe you have $150 for The Orchid Man? The Orchid Man smells great, however, if you are after something spectacular..."Keep it moving folks, nothing to see, the show's over.....keep it moving, c'mon keep it moving!!!

I picked up this fragrance on eBay at a good price, wore it to my mates wedding and it was a knock out. Very close to aventus with that we'll roundedness you don't get from the hyped clones. Although not very strong projection it lasted on me and someone I sprayed it, so much so when he's mum visited the next morning could smell it wafting off him! Give it a go great little gem. I also got nevermore now this is a beast...24hrs later still pumping off my hand from 2 squirts!

I don't want to get to the analysis of how, but the combination of notes, leave an impression as if they meant to replicate the scent of Aventus by Creed. I see Bergamot and Black Pepper listed as top notes, but I think I can smell something fruity. The scent is pretty faint and relatively linear on my skin. Does last for a while but is a skin scent with very little projection.

The Orchid Man begins sharply with a burst of spice and fresh citrus. It eventually settles down, maintaining the same qualities to a lesser degree. With wear, is lingers closer to the skin with an earthy peppery heart and a whisper of citrus lightly doused in smooth amber. The final composition is really enjoyable as someone who isn't a lover of fresh spicy or citrus scents.

Smells basically in the same ballpark as aventus but not that fruity. Idivo from Armaf virtually smells the smell. Both as terrible as each other because I don’t find these type Of scents appealing Such a pointless release and honestly doesn’t evoke what they were after in my opinion, therefore it’s an easy pass. The lack of reviews and love for this speaks for itself.

This is nothing special. Light citrus, touch of spice, nothing intense or particularly fragrant. Doesn't last either... It could be sold for 10 pounds / 100 ml in an unfancy bottle and nobody would bat an eyelid. This one is nice. Simple, inoffensive and light. Does it smell like Aventus? No. But I'm convinced that we live in an age where any fragrance with the slightest prominent bergamot opening is automatically considered an Aventus clone. Aventus, has two key notes: Pineapple and birch. This has neither.

Orchid Man is fresh, clean and elegant. I get good compliments every time I wear it :) I personally apply 3 sprays only, and I have no issues with longjevity/projection. Very unique product from the house.

Reminds me a ton of Hacivat, much more so than Aventus, but this was released two years before Hacivat...so I guess it may be Nishane who is emulating Frapin.

Smells like musty axe body spray with a sour bitter dry down, totally unbalanced and heavy IMO

another Aventus lookalike. Cheaper than Aventus and still Niche so thats something.

Ridiculous price for moderate longevity and sillage. The 1270 has the same problem
