Cherry Pop

I'm quite new to cherry scents and I liked the that this perfume and both cherry and almond notes in it. Opens up to a beautiful cherry note and drys down to a lactonic smooth scent with hints of smokey incense then base note of vanilla. I love this perfume so much the only downside is it doesn't last on the skin. I find a get 3-4 hours max and then it starts to fade. I expected a lot more from this perfume as it's very expensive I paid $450 NZD and I just wanted it to project which it did not. After about a week of wear I decided to try pairing the perfume with a cherry scented body butter and OMG the longevity went up to about 8-9 hours of wear!!! Lasted way longer and the projection was amazing people I was working with were complimenting me all the time. Love this perfume and I'd so recommend if you want beautiful cherry scent!

Compliments to the chef for this impeccably sophisticated, sexy, dominant but not overpowering cherry fragrance. This is the only perfume I've had strangers stop me in a store or on the street to ask what I'm wearing and I've gladly shared the secret. Eking out the last drops of my sample. Amazing stuff. Deep red cherry lifted to elegance with floral and gourmand notes notes and a deft hand that renders this cherry not only exciting but classy as hell, a difficult feat to pull off with cherry perfumes. Jamie Frater knows what he is doing. Longevity around 6-8 hrs on me, my hair still carried the scent the next day and sillage is not room filling but moderate and a definite presence. This is the one you get a whiff of when someone walks past and try to catch another breath of. Straight to the wish list.

A true show-stopper, every time I wear Cherry Pop, heads turn. Among my entire perfume collection, this is the only one that always provokes a reaction. It unfolds like a pastry stuffed with amaretto-soaked cherries and carries on a veil of jasmine, sweet heliotrope and acacia. Then come the soft seductions of bourbon vanilla, creamy tonka and Mysore sandalwood - gourmand, feminine, and utterly impossible to ignore. It’s not just a fragrance, but a scented promise: luscious, bold, and irresistibly magnetic.

Candy Vanilla. Cherry Pop is a well done version of sweet / woody amber/ vanilla genre that is so popular. I am starting to understand the direction ofvthe line. I adore Fraterworks. The historic bases, old perfume ingredients, and curated naturals along with Jamie's amazing demo formula archive was such a discovery for me. It helped me understand historical trends in perfume composition and appreciate the variation in quality that was possible. It has taken me to another level in my understanding of this art form. Thus, I had an expectation that Frater perfume line would be more vintage-inspired. Instead I am finding the perfumes to be beautiful and high quality, but in a modern style. I imagine Cherry Pop would appeal to people who want a perfume that will garner compliments and can be worn in any social setting, but are higher quality than mass market or mastiche.

Wearing as my SOTE. Quite nice! On the strip, I got a tangy, fruity cherry note. On my skin, Cherry Pop's first hours are mostly about almond-marzipan. In the heart notes, I start to get the florals, which smell to me like hawthorn. There's also something a bit leathery about the combination of notes. In the base, Cherry Pop becomes a dark, sweet, wood - picture mahogany. From smelling it on paper, I thought it would compare to Tom Ford's Lost Cherry. Wearing it on skin though, I feel it is much more similar to Chanel's Cométe, with both having that very legible and persistent marzipan note. But Cherry Pop is much fresher and livelier than the Chanel, which I thought was really cloyingly heavy and sweet.
