No. 44 Feige

I just visited the Frau Tonis boutique in Berlin and picked out three. This was one, and it is lovely! It is neither super fruity, and not super sweet as the "main accords" list above. It is, to my nose, first and foremost a clean fig in a light and floral way, not in a sweet or citrusy fresh way. It is then a slightly soapy musky clean, with probably sandalwood, then light coconut and vanilla, blended in a way that they are creamy, but that you can not very distinctly pick out each ingredient. It is a very well blended and well rounded fragrance for feeling clean, figgy, woody, creamy any time of year. It is nearly November, and it is not yet feeling cloying, which I could see the floral & coconut becoming for those sensitive...

I've never really been a big fan of figs in general and normally detest coconut scent and flavourings, so my initial response to seeing this in the boutique was, "Nah, no thanks, I'll hate it". But boy was I wrong. No.44 Feige is creamy, woody, and oddly reminds me of paper in the best way. It immediately became the first Frau Tonis perfume that I said yes to getting. I bought the 3 x 15ml set together with No.10 Linde Berlin and No.17 Launderette and this is easily the one I think of and reach for the most. I still am ambivalent to fig notes in perfumery in general but this one seems to just hit the right way for me.

Beautiful scent! Quite soft and toffe-floral-vanilla I'd say. It doesn't overpower but the scent lasts on the skin for quite a while. Smells a little bit like Honey I Washed The Kids from Lush :)

Beautiful, lovely balanced in equal amounts of Fresh figs, coconut flesh and vanilla. Not overly sweet, its warm and sunkissed. Perfect summer holiday scent.
