Diwani Cairo

Just got this and it needs to rest a bit but immediately I noticed the box itself is nice! It's heavy and well made! The bottle is also heavy glass. Upon initial spray I know immediately I love it. Easy reach for every girl! I think most will love this. To me this is a mash up of Signorina Misteriosa Salvatore Ferragamo in the black bottle and kilian LDBS. You get this Blackberry type scent this sweet fluffines with cotton candy that's similar to LDBS and caramel you get the Neroli and Jasmine that makes this a gourmondy fruity floral. It's literally a beautiful mash up of these two fragrances! Imagine a darker nighttime sexy version of LDBS and you get this fragrance Diwani Cairo Also fun fact: this one and the white bottle are original DNA not inspired by... the red one is inspired by Tuttle

I’m glad I bought it because if I had relied on the reviews here I wouldn’t 😅 This IS a LDBS in a more intense, dark and sexy way. It’s the same DNA but definitely not a clone. I mainly got convinced because of the great perfumer that created this, Jean-Louis Sieuzac. I thought “if he created this it cannot be bad”. And for sure it’s not. Maybe some bottles need to sit to get better, as I’m sure this one also (and believe me, not only Middle Eastern creations need to sit, I’ve got MANY expensive designers and niche that got much better after a while of opening).

I really like this. I have never tested Love don't be Shy, so not sure how it compares, but I find Diwani Cairo to be really subtle and comforting with some fruity notes and soft musk. I really don't enjoy the Kayali eden lychee strong fruit DNA, this is much more subtle. I am tempted now to try the others Diwani Beirut and Rabbat if I can find them!

So so good. Prefer it to LDBS and Oriana. insane longitivity and projection. It's deeper and more sensual and that's how I prefer my perfumes to be. Total compliment getter.

Just received today. Was hoping that it was along the lines of Sintra. However, right now I am getting a light fragrance which doesn’t have anything reminiscent of the Sintra/LDBS/Oriana family. I am feeling a bit meh about it. I I am not getting any neroli. I am getting a hint of something that reminds me of citronella (natural insect repellent). However, I will put it aside and see how it matures and settles. I have also received it on the same day as Emir Vibrant Orange & Neroli, so I could be experiencing neroli overload from that (and it is gorgeous!) EDIT 4th Nov 2025 The citronella note i was getting is gone. It now does smell like a sweeter version of LDBS. However, the sprayer on my bottle is terrible! Might just be my bottle, but I haven't dropped it, doesn't appear damaged or out of alignment.
