Though some purport it to be a clone of Ganymede (and its own clones), it is in fact nothing like it. This is a very powerful hybrid gourmand/leather fragrance, as is Ganymede. The difference is that Ganymede blends fresh citrus, mineral and fruit notes with a soft leather note that comes off more gourmand-like and smells like green tea. El Dorado drops the citrus and fruit and adds in caramel and vanilla. It's a strong blend of sweet, mineral, caramel, leather, vanilla, woody, and oud notes. The mineral note is also softer and comes off smelling more metallic. I have only ever encountered this rarity in just one other fragrance, Jaguar Classic Black which I would describe as smelling like freshly cleaned and gleaming chrome. The gourmand and mineral notes in El Dorado give way very quickly to very strong leather, wood and oud notes. This fragrance has some definite heft and punch to it. Fragrance World markets this to men as opposed to the more unisex Ganymede and rightly so. This is rugged and masculine. Female users wil llikely find it way too strong without a fresh note to uplift it. Many users, in fact, may find this polarizing due to the strong leather and oud. It definitely takes a confident man to wear it. This is great for older male users and for use in serious formal occasions as well as more intimate social activities. Presentation is top notch with a classy bottle and a presentation style display box similar to the one Lattafa uses for its signature Khamrah line. Performance is great. A must for leather fragrance lovers. Highly recommended.

First off, hats off to FW for such a good and nice presentation. Simple yet very well done presentation. Nothing poor quality about the presentation. I got this El Dorado on offer, blind bought cuz of the notes. Needles to say, I am impressed with the scent. It's not a dupe for the above mentioned perfumes but there some similar vibes to them...but if you are to put a scent to it, there's some resemble to Ganymede because they are a few similar notes...However This has no gourmand sweetness or feminine floras or fresh citrus But the mandarin orange helps smoothen the opening transition to the heart and base notes...and in them where it's mature suede leather with a just nice softness that it doesn't tinkle or disturb a sensitive nose, it as a metallicness in it, minerals...some spiciness and a slight sharpness from the violet and a softer saffron support. I am not sure what exactly El dorado copies. But given how it smells and develops, if the juice ends up in an indie or niche brand, this would be highly talked about and sought after. Ladies might like smelling this on their men rather than wearing it though. If you blindfold me and let me test I won't brat an eye and tell you it's a Quentin's creation..so perhaps my familiarity with akigalawood plays a part in it or this review But if you need something Special and Cheap. Also note it's listed as An Extrait so the strength and longetivity is there and this projects quite well with a good lovely silage and trail behind you. Really good scent for it's price. Get This! This has become a monumentally wonderful addition to my vast collection... Initially a year and a half ago I felt it gave me a very very similar bloom like Versailles by Jean Desprez, metallic, money, ambition, drive, sunshine, masculinity.. and today after I opened, sprayed out my precious macerated bottle... It floated out its own animal... 2026 is a good time to wear this metallic, clary saged, oud-esqued work of art... I suspect the two frags : Versailles and El Dorado were both driven to create the scent of gold and money and sheer ambition.. and succeeded in many ways... but this is also beautiful art, artistry.. and Wondrous really.... I'm now wondering if I should gatekeep this or tell the world, I choose to say it out plainly: THIS IS A WONDERFUL ADULT MAN'S FRAGRANCE.... Strong, Clean, Personable, Intense, Sunshiney and so damn Attractive...

My signature fragrance through and through, this is just one of two fragrances I rated a 10/10 on scent alone! A gorgeous sweet yet airy leather perfume, which is somewhat rare to come by I feel, the creamy combination of woods give the leather an elevation, I somewhat get a bit of sweet almonds from this but I reckon thats just a combination of the woods and leather together. The top note of caramel is where its at however, a subtle rich sweetness which lingers throughout. I have worn this in spring, summer, autumn and coming up to my first winter with it, its a powerhouse throughout with a great longevity of about 7 hours. Perfect with a leather jacket, ive worn this to the pub and club many times and had lots of positive feedback!

With reference to @tomkleins comment below, and while I've never tried Fugazzi, El Dorado has Quentin Bisch written all over it. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the perfumer, given that he's been collaborating with UAE based houses as of late. This has his signature Akigalawood note clear as day. The drydown is very reminiscent of other creations of his, specifically Kenzo Homme EDT intense and Bois Impérial. I don't get much cumin here but I do get the caramel, saffron, and leather. Great scent and the performance is quite good. It's not a very safe blind buy, but if you're a Quentin Bisch fan, you will most likely enjoy this.

I'm aware that this scent profile isn't for everybody (in fact I doubt whether I would've cared much for it 5 years ago when I only owned a couple of designer fragrances), but I absolutely love this fragrance - I would go as far as to say that this is the best fragrance I've ever bought under 50 Euros (I paid 46 Euros for 100ml). It's incredibly well-blended and rich smelling to my nose. Performance very very good as well. Hidden gem? 100% imo. Very heavy and beautiful bottle as well, this could easily be a 200 dollar niche fragrance.

I waited patiently for 2 months maturing, 'macerating' my bottle of El Dorado and it didn't let me down. Love this so much... I went out and ordered 2 more bottles... Modern, balanced, distinguished, metallic edged fragrance suitable for an older gent like myself... Women can wear this too, but beware her sharp judgement and mind... Classy, mysterious, confident... with an air of real life experience without the louche feeling that often accompanies men over 50 Something you have to try if you're over 40 and confident in your skin

@Conzinoner: Absolutely spot on. I've been wearing this fragrance at least twice a week since I got it and it's a beautiful blend and I also like the fact that it's a very good performer, but never feels overwhelming or cloying, not even indoors. It's a very classy fragrance that makes you standout in any crowd in a confident "take it or leave it, I don't care" way - for instance Lattafa Khanjar - you should try it! - gives me similar vibes. 9.7/10

As someone already mentioned, this is the type of scent I wouldn’t have cared much about a few years ago. But it’s also the type of scent you come to truly appreciate at a certain point in your fragrance journey, and the kind that makes you realize the journey is worth it. This has high quality, sophistication, smoothness, warmth, and depth. It feels more suited for mature gentlemen, and honestly, I think this one should be gatekept.

Excellent perfume. My first time having a 'metallic vibe' perfume, and I like it a lot. The mineral/metallic scent is quite obvious at the opening, but when it slowly turns to dry down...then it only gets better and better. They said it's 95-100% identical to Ganymade... Perhaps this is true 👌🏻. Not safe for blind buy, but somehow I enjoyed it a lot!!! 9.7/10

I bought this perfume for $45 and it just does the job. Smells like a niche perfume, very unique and addictive. Wonderful trail and gets compliments. I don't think it reminds me of Ganymede at all, it just stands on its own. Beautiful presentation, a delight of a scent.

This company really knows what they are doing. Very high quality. I agree with the comments bellow of what this reminds you of. It smells luxurious, clean, professional yet also a bit mysterious and playful. The leather here smells like new leather.

Pretty sure this is intended to be a blend of Ganymede + Rosendo Mateu no.5. I can literally smell both of them in this one. And the notes are quite indicative of that as well. Smells awesome, for a cheapie this is absolutely worth its price tag. Don't overspray this though, trust me. Winter season only.

first 30 min it smells like burnt rubber but after that it's a nuclear masterpiece Scent: 8,5/10 (personally just find it hard to wear) Performance: nuclear

The leather-y caramel is spot on! Instant like if you're into gourmand. And this thing lasts like crazy. But if you want a cheaper ganymede, eldorado is not the answer. Bois Imperial is much closer to Ganymede DNA, and it's not fair to judge Eldorado based on ganymede because Eldorado is stand out on its own. A solid release!

Ganymede scent profile, but with a truckload of cumin. If you're like me and you don't like the cumin note in fragrances, then you will be best advised to stay away from El Dorado. Performance is top tier, as is the bottle and presentation. But I am not a fan because of that overpowering cumin throughout. Not a pleasant olfactory experience.

Read until the end. So first of all Hold on before you pull the trigger guys, I got this in a sample and I'm wearing right now. Is it a strong powerful fragrance just of a single spray? Yes! Absolutely. Is it nice? ...well. Firstly, when I sprayed this it reminded me of curry. Like someone's cooking, I wasn't aware of the notes but it smelt so south east Asian, like Pakistani, Indianish & I'm half Pakistani=, half English but I didn't like it. Why would I want to wear something to that smells similar to cookings. So I was thinking what is it, there's a spice init that's overpowering whatever good is in this, is it cardomen? No, it's like a sulphur smell. Looked up notes, and saw cumin! Now, I've made it a rule to never purchase a fragrance with cumin, which smells like sulphur and can smell like B.O. I don't understand why anyone would have this in a fragrance, perhaps to break up certain notes, maybe to help transition something idk but seems like a very undesirable note. Then there's thing cheap HTC style cooking oil smell to it, man this lasts for ages. I think it takes over an hour, maybe 2 for the dry down to switch up. Eventually this amber and leather smell pulls through but it's a rough ride. No one under 35 should be rocking this and if your over 35 better look old cause this will make you smell mature. With that all being said, it's not a bad scent in the dry down. There's something rather addictive about it and the harsh cumin, synthetic oiliness does calm down. Maybe it sorts itself out in a few weeks to a month, I would mind revisiting in a month and retesting it but if you need something for today this scent has too much work to do so it's best to let the price calm down, the hype die out of there is any and pick it up for the cold season.

Wow! What a fragrance. The person who put this sample in my order knew what they were doing. I had to buy this from first spray. I thankfully don’t get any cumin. This is like if you took Ganymede and added some caramel, mandarin orange and oud, making it unrecognisable but in the best possible way. Much more fruity and playful, easy going. The sillage smells incredible and its performance is great. If the Ganymede Extrait smelt like this and they charged $500 I’d buy it. My GF also loved it. Very easy to wear and isn’t challenging at all. Won’t be everyone’s cup of tea obviously but this stuff here is EPIC to me and it lasts forever!

Quick thoughts after getting a tester of this on skin. Ganymede metallic airyness + Initio's side effect warmth and spice. It's a good balance, gourmand leaning but with an edge that makes it it's own thing. A little in the shape of 'Khamrah' with it's sweetness but not as bonkers as that fragrance. Not a direct clone of Ganymede though, whatsoever. Ganymede is much more metallic and invigorating. Solid release this, and great value if you don't own any of the frag's i've mentioned, but wanted to.

@saramariah this does not smell like jazz club? Must have bought your bottle in Tijuana... It's just a heavy saffron fragrence with a heavier side. Ganymede style DNA with added spices. Smells heavier than minerale but lighter than Ganymede. The cumin does throw me off a bit and makes it a tad cloying. But overall a great unique scent. Obviously with any Ganymede DNA it's not really blind buy safe. But overall I would say this is a very sophisticated fragrence that's unique.

I like this a lot. It has the mineral/leather accord from Ganymede, but does a spicy, amber, wood thing with it instead of the floral/fruity thing. I don't get a butt load of cumin from mine. Performs really really well. Projection and longevity both really good. I'm curious if the mineral accord is just unlisted, or is it created with some of the other notes? Ideas?

Thank you @aliidom86 for the impression. :) PSA: This is most likely a clone of the fragrance "Fugazzi" by Borntostandout, also done by Quentin Bisch. It has elements of Ganymede, but does it's own thing, quite complex, mineralic, leathery with an almost gourmand edge. The notes are basically identical.

There's people who check the notes out and see oud, willingly make the purchase, then complain that it has oud lol very puzzling. Not to mention out of all my oud fragrances the oud here is least prominent, however it definitely helps its performance.

Not a baby cat dupe at all. Sweet oranges mixed with leather, Carmel and vanilla, so unique and long lasting, perfectly unisex too. Enjoying this in summer.

Disgusting! All I smell is melted plastic, old leather with oud and I can’t stand oud! Not for me. Can we please make OuD go away, it smells gross.

Jazz Club with more tobacco and less soap. Irs good but i adore and prefer the OG.

Smells nothing at all like gynamede or babycat but still is really good.
