A fragrance signed by Jean Christophe the creator of the rather Legendary fragrance which is called creed Aventus no matter if people say out dated be it, This fragrance is in top 5 frags for man of all time and by the very same nose that aventus was born this was created. Short answer to the question: will it shake the industry? No. It will leave a strong impression especially to people discovering new cozy and niche scent profiles at rather competitif price but it won’t be as groundbreaking as Aventus or something like that. now for the Long answer : No it will not, Imagine a stronger with you vibe NOT SAME I said Vibe then make it niche which means more Woody, Add dates a hint of spices and deep ambery sweet vanillique feel to me its a niche version of that style of dna , pear is listed but i couldn't feel it at all on me so is it beause of my skin ? My nose ? Maybe in all cases this was just a first try for this fragrance, the scent profile on itself is wonderful the transition is smooth the quality is present they used Quality oils from Lmr (if you dont know google it) the performance is great and sillage for first hour and a half i should say with around 7-8 sprays was great not beast but rather élégant présent not a punch to face screaming, The scent it self is 100% date night cozy with the wife, gentlemany in a way. I can't describe much since i just used it for one day only and didn't receive much compliments one from a worker one from a friend and one from my mother i'll do a deeper review after 2-3 weeks to let it fully dev it self more . For now 8.5/10 a wonderfull job This company keep just on getting better and better on each release leaving you always thinking what may be the next big surprise Blind buy safe? I’d say yes if you’re into vanilla, amber, and spicy fragrances, you’ll surely enjoy this one. If not its still not a difficult scent profile to understand

A Niche Masterpiece for less! I absolutely adore this fragrance! It is so unique and smells amazing! The Rose, Saffron, and Pear is giving me Rasasi London vibes. It definitely doesn’t smell like London but they share those notes and it’s amazing. The custard is really good in this and the dates have a fresher smell than other date fragrances I’ve smelled. To me this is pretty fresh and can be worn all year round. Don’t get me wrong this is a little polarizing and I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who only likes designer smells. I think it’s beautiful, unique, and very wearable. I will be rocking this one and I might just have to make it my signature scent!!

The opening is a bit shocking, a strong spicy scent of smoke with a bit of a sickly sweet smell of dates. But it quickly dries down into a warm welcoming and cosy scent, reminiscent of toasting marshmallows on a fire while camping in autumn. I'm constantly smelling myself after I've sprayed it, I think it unlocks a good memory for me in some way as it makes me happy. I find it to be a great unisex fragrance, the sweet and smoky scents are balanced really well.Becoming one of my favourites ✨

I get the rose up top a lot. Dates follow. It’s creamy, so maybe the custard. Comes off a little chestnutty the mid, SWY and 1M ☘️ style. I catch the cypriol and labdanum pretty clearly too when it dries. Really like it. Does NOT resemble Black Phantom. If it did, I wouldn’t own it. Very strong. This has quickly become my after-work-change-my-mood scent

This indeed is niche level perfumery but it's beautiful. Smells like a tamed down version of Vulcan Black Friday, just remove some of the leathery facets and add some nuttiness. It doesn't come across too gourmandy to me, if at all. The longevity and projection seem to be on the stronger side on initial impression.

Just saw someone saying its overrated ? Wdym overrated its 26 euros projects like crazy i sprayed yesterday night woke up the smell still on my shirt its a beautifull smell like woody dates with roses and i never had a niche fregrance to check if its on that level but its far better then designer fregrances

This is a great fragrance! It’s something thats a great intro to “niche” fragrance, sweet dates with some florals, spices and gourmand vanilla. New noses probably won’t like the spice and dates. Experienced noses will find this to be a nice addition to their collection

Smells like medicine at the opening but gets better within one hour , very sweet vanilla, cocoa and dates Very powerful strong sophisticated and dark mysterious . Not recommended as blind buy. Gets better after macerating couple of weeks

the opening is genuinely unbearable, smells like medicine and it just hurts to smell. after 20 mins or so it smells great, i don't know why this is the case but i guess i'll macerate it. deffo not blind buy worthy.

I think my bottle needs to rest but from what I can smell so far this has great potential to be something special. One week later this fragrance is already blossoming! So far I'm very happy!

Right now I'm getting just strong cinnamon although cinnamon is not listed. I'm sure after letting it sit for a while the notes will unfold and tone down. Will update in a few.

Spray this on your shower curtain, close the door and walk away. Go back a bit later and get a whiff of the air that this stuff makes. That is how I test my fragrances.

This is NOT blind buy safe, and if you do get it, expect a pure special occasion scent. Now that we've got this out of the way lets begin. This scent needs to be smelt before it is bought because the complexity and way it has been done is definetly an acquired taste. First off in the opening, it is a smoky, floral, medicinal scent with that undertone of the dates. I had a lot of people disregard this when i asked about their intial thoughts during the opening and i can see why, i personally dont mind it too much but it definitely is not mass appealing and feel like its the type of scent that emodies the Middle Eastern taste. As it starts to dry down the dates become more prominent and sweeter and the smokiness dies down a bit, and becomes a rich dates, floral fragrance still with that dark smokiness and slight medicinal scent. This is easily the most complex cologne i own but that makes it PERFECT for any fancy occasions when im dressed up, because not only is it unique, complex and rich, but it is a BEAST in terms of performance, lasts long and projects far it is hard to not get recognised with this. I wear this whenever i have a suit on and i cant think of any other cologne that fits it more. Overall, i think this is a 7.5/10 because of the opening and how hard it is to wear, but beautiful when you can wear it.

Nose Note #982 I've written extensively on Nabatieh. This are ultimately two fragrances about the same thing, but done a bit differently. Seriously, I'm smelling them side by side and they feel like two dupe of one fragrance. I just like Grow better. It's drier, it doesn't have this ultra-percing note of I don't know what that doesn't even let me approach skin further than 5-7cm - it starts to hurt my nose badly. Grow just feels like it's maybe two steps higher in quality. Both have something inexplicable that I don't like. I guess it's just the dates accord. The overall image that I get is not of dates actually, it's of a spicy milky oolong tea, especially in the sillage. There's nothing ultra niche about it, nothing that's overdone. But mind that it is a complex scent and it's definately not for everyone, it has a niche appeal. It is a little dark, a little sweet, it has a lot of density to it. It is quite a heavy scent. Overspraying this or Nabatieh will be a big mistake. Similarly to Nabatieh, it's hard to ascribe gender. I feel like it's been made unisex, but falls a bit more masculine. Very strong, good sillage. 7.4/10, I like it a bit better than Nabatieh, but ultimately this is not for me

I tried Nabatieh this morning alongside Grow, and they are very similar, roughly 85% alike at the opening. However, in a blind test, they could still be easily distinguished because Nabatieh is lighter and a bit smoother, yet it lacks the character, edge, and rugged masculinity found in Grow. The more they dry down, the more they diverge (about 1h after spraying). If Grow is a man in his 40s or 50s with a thick beard, then Nabatieh is a woman in her 30s with a strong personality who often wears leather pants, leather jacket, and high boots while riding a motorcycle, also very edgy. Personally, Grow leaves a stronger impression, it is more unique and less common (actually, it does resemble Ajwaa by Lattafa, but that one has been voted to disappear, come on, guys). As a man not yet reached 40 50s, Grow fits my personality better, so I would choose it over Nabatieh. But if Grow is too intense for you, Nabatieh might be better fit.

Smell exactly like Ajwaa by Lattafa (Legacy of Petra dupe). I went to the store and smelled them side by side; although tobacco isn't listed, the dominant scent is a very pleasant tobacco leaf. Higher-end and better blended than Ajwaa, lacking that soy sauce-like dry down which i hate in Ajwaa. The more Grow drydown the more it smell like black Veneno's drydown, which is a clone of Smoking Hot. Great longevity, lasting 8 hours on skin and 10 hours on tester strip with only 1 shot. The tobacco leaf in Grow and Ajwaa is similar to the one in Angel Share, but richer, more intense, and darker. If AS is a man in his 30s sitting at a bar with a drink and a cigarette, chatting with friends, then Grow is a gentleman in his late 40s or 50s sitting quietly in a corner of the bar enjoying a pipe. But they dont smell like AS overall, only share that particular tobacco note. Very..very unique

At first sniff, I wasn't impressed. It even leaned a bit too feminine for my taste. But something changed over time. The best way I can describe it is this: it gives me the same kind of feeling as Ombre Nomade. Not because they smell alike, but because they share the same presence. They're both bold, deep, intense, and definitely not for everyone. Ombre Nomade leans more into oud, rose, and florals, while Grow goes in a woodier, vanilla direction. Different scent profiles, but the same kind of strong personality. If you're an Ombre Nomade fan, I honestly think there's a very good chance you'll love Grow too.

Later edit: after several days, medicinal piss smell subsided greatly and I kinda see what they wanted to do here but I still feel this is missing substance. It feels very thin, diluted. Let's see how much it improves over the next months. We moved out of piss territory and into the meh zone. Out of the box smells like medicinal piss. I don't know what they tried to do with this but at this moment, it ain't it. I'm glad I paid only $18 for this shit. Will see how it improves over time. piss/10

Ok so almost 3 months have passed since my initial review. Same as Nabatieh, performance improved greatly and it doesn't smell like medicinal piss anymore. It's definitely a special scent and the best way I can describe would be like this: imagine bandage tissue with dates jam spread over it. I know it sounds weird but it works and to me it smells good.

Got a 3ml decant. Didn't like the opening because of too mush "Oily wood" notes but after an hour, it starts to develop into an amazing warm creamy a bit masculine with little sweetness to it. it's a soothing winter fragrance

I got this based on the dates and custard notes but am not falling in love with it at all. It’s a bit of a mess to my nose and can’t hone in on what it is I don’t like but it just doesn’t make me want to wear it. For me It lacks any gourmand vibe and the opening is harsh and unpleasant. Despite not listing it gives a liquorice note which I don’t like. When it dries down it does become more bearable but absolutely not making me rush to put it on, literally forcing myself to spray it to see if I’m missing something- which so far I’m not. Definitely not blind buy safe and definitely not for summer. My least favourite French avenue offering to date

I really wanted to like this fragrance The note breakdown sounds appealing and with it being made by the Jean-Christophe Hérault I thought this was going to be a steal, but the more I smell it the less I want to. The opening is medicinal and oily, as it dries down that goes away and you get that creamy date note mixed with some florals and woods and maybe im just not a fan but it doesnt really stand out to me as anything special. Its a shame too because this fragrance performs, both on skin and on clothes you will smell this the next day. I dont hate it but I cant say I like it, its just okay.

From my decant, I get the dates, custard, and Davana in the opening, and then it dries to become a bit woodier. I have only smelled davana in a fragrance a few times and it is unique. performance is 10+ hours with strong sillage. Not quite my type of scent so I would not get a full bottle. best suited for cool weather. I would recommend testing a sample before getting a full bottle.

had high hopes for Grow by French Avenue, but this one didn’t really land for me. The opening comes off pretty strong and spicy, but instead of feeling warm and inviting, it leans a bit too smoky. It actually reminds me of that campfire smell that lingers in your hair after being outside all night, not completely unpleasant, but definitely not something I want in a perfume. There is a slight sweetness in the background, but it doesn’t fully balance out the smokiness. On my skin, it stays kind of heavy and doesn’t really evolve into anything softer or more wearable. Overall, it just feels a bit overpowering and not as smooth or refined as I expected. Not my favorite.

Amazing value for the money. Luxurious and 'niche' smelling, Grow opens up with a beautiful woody-dark fudge sort of accord which smells natural and three dimensional. A seriously impressive opening followed by the introduction of spices and a floral middle where rose most notably peeks out, creating lift and a pinkish hue to the scent. Through the drydown it's that multi-faceted woody accord with tonka and a creamy nuance from the custard note. Does not smell overly sweet or sugary it's a delicious, beautiful blend and a pleasure to wear. Another JCH masterclass.

Quality is really good for the price. It's really unique in my opinion. You can definitely tell the hard work and complexity put into this by the perfumer. I'm not quite sure what occasion I would wear this for, but it's very artistic and unique. I like it alot and appreciate the perfumers hard work on it.

Just blind bought this at a local Burlington. Out of the box I get a loud cinnamon, wood , floral note. Sprayed out 10/12 sprays. OK, back into the closet for you. I'll see you again in 4/5 months. Interesting looking bottle, though.

Not my favorite scent profile but I have to respect the sillage. Sprayed in my room a few times and I'm still getting whiffs of it days later. It leans feminine, winter/fall. Strong date note.
