Happiness Oud

I really, really loved OfH in the opening, that fizzy, bright, uplifting ginger-licorice combo was to die for. However, things go south fast with the OG as it dives headfirst into this obnoxious amberwoods base, similar to what happens with Room 1015's Electric Wood Extrait. That amberwoody base also seems to get stronger until it's overwhelming, and the drydown ends up having nothing to do with how the perfume unfolds at the start. So, I got the dupe to see if the same thing happened, and thankfully, it's not as bad, feels like the drydown does not have that amberwood overdose, and the green part of the scent lingers for a lot longer, which I'm happy with. It does get more vanillic as it dries down but it's not as synthetic - which is also why it doesn't have the same lasting power as Initio. But I'd rather spray it multiple times a day than have to deal with that horrible amberwoody base that seems to be in EVERYTHING these days.

The only difference between this one and the OG is in the dry down, a little less woody, but overall it’s great. And also own the original, just in case.

Later update after having and wearing this for a few months: this could be my signature scent, I love it so much!

This smells different--I like it. Can't really put my finger on what I'm smelling here in the open? Dries down to sour fruit plus smoke plus light oud. Finishes as a powdery oud. Lasts all day (15 hours and I can still smell it). Strong projection -- pretty sure you'll fill the room if you overspray. Would I buy again? Probably not. I like but don't love. Inexpensive, so this is good value for your money if you're into this sort of thing. This scent is perplexing; I might have to wear it a few more times before I render a final verdict?

Not really impressed with this except for the price. Fragrance itself does not draw compliments unless you want to smell like an old age pensioner. Use it mainly when i DONT want to be noticed...if that makes and sense.... :)
