Mythical Gryphon

Finally got to compare it with Amouage's Lyric Man and Purpose. What can I say - although it's not a direct clone, it certainly shares certain aspects of both of the fragrances. They all contain this smoky freshness that comes off as a clean, conditioned fabric that was smoked in incense. The difference comes in details; while Purpose tones down the rose and focuses on spices, the Lyric Man is barging in with ginger and lime surrounded by various greens. This one, though, is far simpler and easy on the nose, because here the spices are toned down and the main players are sandalwood, amber, and vanilla. I also find the rose here more forward than in both Purpose and Lyric, closer to Lyric, but Amouage executed it more masterfully, to be honest. Overall a wonderful value fragrance that takes inspiration from expensive niche fragrances and lightens the formula, making it more appealing. Suitable for any occassion. The performance here is no joke with a solid 8 hrs of longevity; however, with originals I get way over 12+ hrs - they are absolutely nuclear, and it wouldn't be fair to expect this from a $40 dupe. If your nose has developed enough and you long for niche fragrances or you are a fan of Amouage (as I apparently am), I highly suggest trying this.

Smells like a relaxing yoga class to me. I found it very inspiring... It's spicy, ambery not too sweet fragrance, very delicate while strong at the same time. It's not feminine, more unisex leaning male. But I can imagine myself wearing this in spring or autumn, even in winter time. I have never been to ME, but this scent takes me straight to an Arab country, riding on a camel, sand, hot sun and wind touching my face. This is the vibe I get from this. A beautiful, almost poetic Arab perfume. I strongly recommend. Edit: reminds me to Oud Mood but fresher!

At first i get a bit of that spice, but it's such a rich woody rose jam, it kind of reminds me to the jam my grandma used to make, dense a bit tacky but sweet and quite addictive. I absolutely love the way it dries down and how it suits my skin, anyways it's a perfume for special occasions and i feel like it wouldnt really suit hot weather.

Smells like an expensive spicy, woody, and rose soap. Maceration is required.

I picked up a bottle on Vinted for a surprisingly low price....so I thought, why not blind buy and see if the juice lives up to the bottle? And to be fair, the bottle is the real showstopper here. It’s unique, more like a sports trophy than a perfume bottle, topped with a winged Gryphon that probably explains why it sits at the higher end of the usual French Avenue price range. On presentation alone, it’s a solid 9/10. Unfortunately, the fragrance inside doesn’t quite match the same score. You’ll need to enjoy rose to appreciate this one. It’s a soft, sweet, almost jammy rose that feels completely unisex. The opening is very pleasant—sweet and wearable—before settling into a blend of patchouli and bergamot that keeps it fresh and balanced for the next 6 - 8 hours. Personally, I think this would shine more in the colder months, when that warm rose note could really come alive. Is it a clone?.....I Don't really know, it's a decent 6/10 but nothing that would stand out in anyone's collection.

Nose Note #919 I saw the Lyric Man upvotes and got very excited. I love Lyric Man and I with a had any kind of dupe of it. But this one is just completely different. Maybe people have been voting only by guessing, without actually smelling Lyric Man, or judged by memory. Well, comparing them side by side - there's nothing to compare really. Both have a rose accord, but how different they are... Lyric Man is so smooth, the rose is powdery, the composition is calm, effeminate. Here the rose is sour and has a lot of citric qualities to the point it doesn't even smell like a rose. A lot of citrus, or maybe it's the akigalawood. I am getting big vibes of Purpose 50 minus the mint and a lot of incense. It's nothing like Experimentum Crucis, nothing like Oud Mood or Oud Satin Mood. I'd describe it best as Purpose 50 meets a lemon juice. Unisex. Strong. OK sillage. 7.3/10, needs further evaluation, but it definately doesn't deserve the rating of 3.59 as of 21/03

This perfume has nothing to do with Amouage Purpose or LV Amber Nomad. It’s a beautiful scent that smells like Middle Eastern/South Asian rose and woody Sherbet. Good for collectors not for a single perfume person. Sillage first two hours upto 1 meter bubble / trail max then cloth scent for upto 8 hours

Super intense saffron and leather scent. The type that is very niche smelling and gives me a headache. It was a no from me

Notes are similar to Amouage Purpose !!! Anyone hasn't tested it and compare it with Purpose?

Smell like just another chemical soup from Dubai. Has no redeeming features.
