What on the rocks/obsidian is: - fresh citrus of the top, with cinnamon in the mid and dry down. This is above all a freshy scent, with this cinnamon twist from the main line. - Perfect for cold and mid seasons, maybe even summer night, very Office friendly. Think of it like Channel Allure Edition Blanche, make it less violent on the lemon, remove the "meringue" part and replace it with the cinnamon. - This is a discreet scent, not made to last long or to leave a big trail. It inspires tenderness, someone approachable who likes his perfume lemony but in a cosy way, not a sporty one. I just received it last weekend and rocked it for a couple of days. I tried it against a sample of the OG Kilian Share on the Rocks to remain objective. All tests were done both on paper strip and skin. Conclusion: Obsidian is almost a 1:1 with Angel Share on the Rocks until late in the dry down and skin scent. Personally I can live with it given the price difference, but here are the main differences: - On top note: the OG is a more zingy citrus, close to what lime is. Obsidian remains at lemon level - When dries down: the OG remains a natural scent, fresh and lemony. The Obisidian is very close to that, but it is like a tone down version, which feels slightly more synthetic/matured lemon. To give you a concrete idea of the scent between the OG and Obsidian, it would be comparing a freshly cut lemon (OG) with one that has matured couple of weeks (Obsidian). - The difference increases over time, since the Obsidian really has the cinnamon (and a bit of apple) progressively taking over the lemon when the OG stays focus on the lemon with hints of cinnamon until if fully disappear. This is where most people like connaisseur will tell the difference between the two. - Obsidian propagation/trail is stronger than the OG, and this includes lasting longer as a skin scent - People around you will smell it during the first 2-3 hours, then they will have to be near you. Skin scent itself last on me about 8 hours. This is not one of this scent you will smell on your body the next day when you wake up.

(disclaimer: i have no idea what the original smells like so this is solely based on the fragrance itself) not only is the presentation on the bottle and box insanely high quality for the $50-60 price range on this especially for an extrait too, it already delivers in that aspect but the scent is amazing, i genuinely don't know how there are so many tiktok hyped french avenues and yet this one has flown under the radar but honestly to most owners benefits because if people knew the quality and scent profile of this it would be another one of those immediately sold out dupes it opens up with a blast of that grapefruit, not much of the bergamot to my nose but the aldehydes make it so fresh almost like, watery-ish but in the best way possible, but as it settles down it comes to this more warm, boozy scent from the myrrh, and the touch of sweetness from that mix with the vanilla as well, not overly gourmand like the typical angel share dna is described, a nice balance of warmth and freshness all around this fragrance is easily the most versatile in my collection with that development from freshness to warmth, it's an easy to reach, non-offensive nor nuclear sillage/projection which some may desire since french avenue is known for that (liquid brun, nero in my collection are powerhouses) but this is more subtle in comparison, not to discredit it though it still pushes off for a good 2-3 hours and becomes a skin scent for 5-6 in my experience with it (i've had this one for about 2 months so maceration is pretty far in) but again for the price, what i use it for in those dumb reach times to go out to the store, going out with friends for a bit, errands, etc. it's good at what it does if you're looking for those beastmode fragrances or overly gourmand boozy scents this isn't it, but for a versatile daily, signature scent even, dumb reach yeah this one is amazing. French Avenue rarely to me miss and specificaly when we are talking about angel share dna if one is familliar with their target On the rocks seeing just the pyramid already solds what is it going to be so to start : This fragrance opens with a bright, citrusy-fresh and clean profile to my nose the clean aspect is the dominant then we change roles after like 5-10minutes were citrus and orange became the star talking about the star the orange is clearly the most noticable , bringing a juicy and elegant freshness. As it dries down, it becomes softly boozy and slightly sweet while keeping that clean citrusy character. The balance is very well executed they truly nailed it i can see the angel share Dna creeping out when it dries down the question is how close to original am sorry but i tried it only one time and that is like 4 months ago so am not sure but for what it is sure i directly connected it to that so really close enough. The sillage is noticeable and pleasant, not overpowering. It leaves a smooth and elegant scent trail that feels refined when i asked my familly about it . Longevity on my skin is around 6 hours without the need to always go to skin to find it when i move around i get some bits and whifs , then it settles into a subtle skin scent for 8–9 hours. Overall, a versatile and well-crafted fragrance this is suited for daily use professional meeting (dont overspray if you have a professional meeting 3-4 max max ) also i saw say paradis is more suited for night outs i see no probelme using this or og in night out its not a party fragrance or anything but more casual meeting a date with the wife will work to be honnest . the bottle and packaging are top tier honnestly. at the end is it a safe blind buy ? i would say go for it it doesnt brake the bank the scent isnt a wow what is this ? but great refreshing and nice with elegant aspects thank you for your time reading this i hope it helps out.

Currently, I'm obsessed with this fragrance. After letting it mature and trying it again, it absolutely blew me away with how much it had changed. Even though it's not a perfect dupe, it is very good on its own. It has an addicting grapefruit opening that I adore, it isn't sweet in an obnoxious way like a lot of other cheap fragrances. The aldehydes give it an icy aroma that adds to refreshing nature of the fragrance. Once the fragrance has settled, it evolves into a sort of amber-y, powdery, sweet smell that is lifted by the citruses. My nose is very sensitive to tonka bean and I definitely get a powdery, almond like smell in the heart and base. This is where I would say it differs from Angel's Share OTR: it doesn't quite have that boozy sweetness that is iconic to the Angel's Share line. In fact, there is no booziness that I can detect and what replaces it is a much calmer, amber sweetness. To me, I prefer this, it's about 80% there and definitely has the same vibe. But if you're looking for a replica of Angel's Share OTR, with the same depth and booziness, I'd wait for Riiffs Veloce to release and look at reviews for that instead. The presentation and the bottle are beautiful, not too over the top but undeniably unique. The atomizer is good, and I think the fragrance is light enough to where you can overspray a bit if you want. IMO it's versatile enough to be used in any season, day or night. It is also perfectly unisex and layerable. I'd say this is a pretty safe buy, if you like fragrances that are built around a vanilla-tonka base or if you like citrus and particularly grapefruit.

Nose Note #954 Just lovely lovely lovely. The best way to describe it would probably be this - imagine Royal Blend Sequoia, but lighter and with sugary-sweet grapefruit instead of raspberry. So in a way it does land well into the Angel's Share flanker line. Similarly sweet, but this time citrus dominant, soapy and altogether a rather fresh scent! I'd say you can easily wear this all year round. And very unisex too. I can't say it's masculine leaning at all. My wife really liked this. I don't know what's not to like about it. Stunning presentation too, as always with French Avenue. Maybe if you don't like sweet scents then that's a miss. You can also think about it as an interpretation of Bvlgari Tygar, but sweeter and with less ambroxan, perhaps. It keeps reminding me of Ex Nihilo Hedonist, maybe even the sweeter Extrait version. Performance-wise it's quite good. I consider this a fresh scent and for a freshie this is pretty strong. Nothing crazy, but if you apply a lot then you definately get a good result. 8.5/10, a spiritual successor to both Royal Blend Sequoia and Tygar

Been wearing this one for about five weeks now and it’s giving that Angel’s Share on the rocks vibe with a fresher twist. It opens with a crisp apple note, a touch of citrus, and some cool aldehydes that give it that chilled, slightly sparkling effect right up top. It almost feels like a spiced drink poured over ice. As it settles, the fragrance moves into a smooth blend of cinnamon, sweetness, and a boozy accord that really defines the scent. It comes across warm, slightly spicy, and inviting without being too heavy, which makes it more versatile than you would expect from this style. Performance is solid. Moderate projection for the first couple of hours, then it sits closer to the skin. I’m getting around six hours of longevity. Not beast mode, but definitely respectable and easy to wear. Overall, this is a great pick if you like that Angel’s Share DNA but want something fresher, a little more modern, and easier to wear in more situations.

This is what I've been looking for all this time. An actual Angel's Share On The Rocks clone! This stuff smells so incredibly close to the real deal. Right out of the box it pushes out to my nose for easily the first 3 or 4 hours with only one spray. The scent itself maintains its citrusy notes all the way through its longevity, which is a big win for me since I love citrus scents. This is genuinely my favorite take on the Angel's Share DNA, mainly due to the focus on the citrus. It makes this type of fragrance so much easier to wear year-round. As much as I love the original scent profile, this stuff just takes it to an additional level. Something to note: if you were curious about Sharaf Divine by Zimaya, that fragrance is more of a mix between Paradis and On The Rocks, but with more of an emphasis on Paradis. If you are interested in that kind of blend, go for Sharaf Divine, but if you are interested in pure On The Rocks, go for Obsidian.

Only just received this and sprayed it on skin immediately and gone out for an hour. So first impressions are I reeeeeeaalllly like it. Definitely summer and just a lovely fragrance all round. No point in talking about notes as I'd say they are pretty well described on here. What I would say is the resemblance to AS on the rocks is passing at best. I don't own OTR but I've sprayed it on skin a few times so I know how much I love it and will eventually get it. So when you see tiktok and YouTube influencers say it's 80-90% the OG, as per normal it's greatly exaggerated. Maybe 40-60% there at best being generous... However, I would highly highly recommend it. It's sooo nice, and the quality is really gooood too. For the price it's epic and i'd rebuy. UPDATE: OK....sooo....it does, after a few hours start to smell more like OTR😅maybe 65-75%.....🤷

If you need a good realistic review look no further than my review here! This fragrance starts with a bright icy citrus just like the OG, then the angel share DNA starts kicking in smoothly and it settles on a very smooth vanilla/ambery base Wich is very nice. 90% similar if you compare it hand to hand with the OG.. but appealing to memory its like 95% similar.. by all meanings nobody will differentiate this to the OG smelling it in the air. The performance is solid i get around 8-10 hours of longevity ( still didn’t macerate ) and great heavy projection.. i sprayed it on a strip and went to bed.. and it was projecting more than foot away very strongly all night. Overall - OB 7.5/10 - OG 8/10 Both are very very good. Performance - OB 8.5/10 - OG 7/10 Quality - OB - 7.5/10 - OG 9/10 Very decent - Great

Absolute BANGER from French Avenue oh my god. They really nailed this one, I tried Angels Share OTR at an airport recently and kept the paper and its near identical (the citruses are slightly different). This is such an interesting fragrance. I love sweet spicy scents, and I honestly thought combining the Angels' Share DNA with fresh aldehydic citrus notes would be a complete mess, but Killian and French Avenue pulled it off incredibly well. The opening gives you a bright burst of this a bergamot based sugar syrup with a spices with a hint of a cooling ice effect from the aldehydes for the first 30 to 45 mins, then it gradually settles into a very familiar Angels' Share boozy cinnamonny apple pie dry down. If you love angel share but dont want to nuke a room in the summer, get this.

I tried OTR in the airport a week ago and loved it, received Obsidian yesterday and right out of the box i fell in love! Just wow! Its more intense than OTR in the opening with more pronounced citrus, almost smells like boozy orange, Incredible opening! In the drydown the citruses remain and dont fade away like OTR, instead it becomes a beautiful mix of citrus and Angels share. Versatile, sexy, masculine, and very high quality. Longevity is good around 8 hours so far with no maturation. Overall 9.5/10 Update: after about a week have to say longevity here is actually not very impressive, projection is mediocre for the first 2 hours or so and then it becomes a skin scent for a couple more hours. Scent is still amazing though.

Just as good as they say it is, lovely fresh grapefruit, lemon and cinnamon opening, the cinnamon isn’t listed but im certain its there. Then it darkens up a bit in the mid but never leans too sweet, has a nice slightly resinous ambery vanilla base, but retains its freshness throughout. It’s just a very nice, refreshing boozy fragrance. Perplexing in concept, wonderful in execution. Longevity seems to be the only downside, though only slightly as it is not underwhelming, simply average, but thats par for the course for quite a few dupe fragrances, still the projection and sillage are good. 9/10 scent 7/10 longevity 7/10 sillage/projection

absolutely loved angels share otr, too much money. this definitely scratches the itch. when i first got it, definitely was a 1:1 maybe a little synthetic in the opening but overall really really damn close even side to side with my sample of the og. now that i’ve had it for a few months i feel like i could smell a little more cinnamon peaking through even in that fresh opening which i kind of don’t like as much as it used to smell. also wished that fresh opening lasted a little longer but it’s hard for fresh things to last because they dissipate easily. overall worth it to buy and would recommend especially at the price point.

Just Angel's Share DNA with an opening of citrus notes. After 10 minutes, it's literally Angel's Share. But as a dupe/clone/inspiration, this is more refined than Kismet Magic and more accurate (80-85% to my nose). I really enjoy this and buy a full bottle right after testing. At last, I can use a dupe of Angel's Share which is actually well done - not much synthetic or more feminine like Khamrah or Sharaf Blend. Performance is good. Not beast mode but actually project well in the first 2 hours and stay very long on skin. I'm happy with my purchase.

Amazing. A scent so delicious you could almost taste it in the air. Reminds me of a fizzy cola-flavoured hard candy. Despite its boozy, rich, and warm profile, I find it to be surprisingly wearable for summer days as there is a freshness and brightness in the opening that begs to be worn for days outdoors, while still being versatile enough for cooler indoor environments. Lasts 24 hours on fabric. An otherwise 10/10 fragrance if not for the finicky cap design which does not inspire confidence.

Havent smelled on the rocks but having angels share the backbone of that dna is very closely replicated here but freshened up and combined with something reminiscent of cosmic pepper by mancera or allure home sport eau extreme. To me it kinda improves upon the angels share dna making it more wearable! Decent longevity i dont think its a projection monster but i always got little whiffs of it during the day which is decent for my skin chemistry. Very versatile minus maybe in july heat.

Pretty damn close to OTR, matching the booziness. The citrus is less prominent compared to OTR, but not by far. My definition for both smells is the OG Angels Share toned down and dipped in candied lemon peels. Absolutely amazing scent. If you like a calm boozy citrus that you can run as a daily driver during the cooler season, rock this one. Honestly I'd get it for presentation alone too.

This is the first fragrance that I have ever bought for myself and I absolutely love it! The citrus burst at the start before giving way to the vanilla and amber base is absolutely amazing. The performance is also great, I got a compliment based on my fragrance at 5 pm when I had applied it at 10 am. Very happy with my purchase

So far it’s been a great fragrance Side to side it smells 90% identical to OTR. I’d say obsidian has slightly more citrus in the opening. The dry down is almost identical too. This is a very close dupe, if you want OTR without breaking the bank buy this! 8.5/10

I own so many niche and designer fragrances and this clears all too me.. Idk what it is but this is fantastic to my nose. The burst of citrus then the way the vanilla and sweetness come through is done to perfection. All from a $40 fragrance.. Bravo!!!

Wow, fresh take on angel share that lasts and performs! Having the og A.S. I can say this nails the fresh take on it very well. Bottle is great looking on shelf, price is pretty good but for what it compares to, man it's a steal. Definitely worth it!!

French Avenue still refuses to miss. I had both Royal Blend and the OG Angel's share. Obsidian is literraly that amazing dna with added bright citruses in the opening and soapiness in the drydown. Quality is great and also is the performance.

A fragrance as good as the bottle it's in. Fresh Citrusy in the opening that blends in well with the cinnamonny apple pie on the dry down. And I have the mention it again, the bottle is awesome. Well done to the people at French Avenue 9/10

For anyone wondering what this smells like but can't get a grasp of it, I'll help you out with this one sentence: "Who spilled Angel Share in my fruit punch?" Don't listen to anyone else, that's literally what this smells like.

I haven't given a review before but I thought I might for this one. What an incredible versatile scent. Presentation was also gorgeous. Haven't smelt the OG but I'm definitely keen on getting a sample to compare.

The perfume is the definition of perfect mix between sweet/warm and fresh/citrusy combination. Also a great dupe of OTR. The performance is great too. Not my top favourite but definitely one if the best ever.

It is this citrus infused cinammon roll which is versatile, fresh, sweet and soapy. Only complaint i have is its longevity and projection which are lacking, but it still lasts 7+ hours on clothes.

Smells like a jasmine tea to me

I was very close to buying Angels’ Share (OTR). I tested it many times, but I found the performance a bit underwhelming for that price point, so I decided not to get it. When I heard that Obsidian was a very close clone, I immediately tried it. Yes, it’s fair to say they are similar. But like with all clones I’ve tried so far, there are noticeable differences and some quality gaps. In terms of quality, the opening of Obsidian is clearly behind — although ironically, that’s also the part where it resembles OTR the most. OTR opens slightly sharp and citrusy, then within about half an hour it settles into a very smooth, warm, slightly sweet, boozy theme that feels refined. Obsidian, on the other hand, stays more citrusy and rough for the first two hours. It takes about two hours to come closer to that smoother phase, but even then, it never fully reaches that warm, seamless, boozy refinement. So I do see differences and missing elements. However, considering it costs almost one-seventh of the price, those differences can definitely be acceptable because it creates a similar atmosphere in the air. I personally have a weakness for owning the original rather than clones. I rarely prefer clones — my only exception is when the original has weak performance and the clone significantly improves on that aspect. If I didn’t have this mindset, I would buy it immediately at this price

First impression was actually pretty good. But after comparing it side by side with the OG, there's a huge difference between the two. They both have the same idea, but it's executed in a completely different way. Obsidian definitely has the Angel's Share DNA, with that boozy vibe in the background. The opening is much more citrusy, and the dry down is sharper and boozier than the OG. Even though it's an Extrait de Parfum, the performance is pretty average. It becomes a skin scent after a couple of hours, although it projects a bit better than the OG in the opening. Quality-wise, I think it's really good. Overall, it's a solid fragrance and definitely worth trying, just don't expect a 1:1 clone.

Decant review: Strong citrus angel share vibe of rip. Almost smells more floral than on the rocks. Can make out like a candied lemon orange smell on top of the boozy sweet base. Definitely get the booziness but there is some kind of cleaner note coming through in the opening that I’m not a fan of probs the lemon. As it settles it develops a slight powdery aspect. Doesn’t seem as strong as OTR and not as airy. Drydown is pretty generic vanilla tonka. Solid projection early but fades pretty quickly. By hour 5 I can still smell on clothes but weak Drydown smell on skin. 6/10

That might sound weird but, doesn't it smell like freshly squeezed orange juice to you? Slight cinnamon feel but other than that, this is pure orange juice to my nose. Whisky and orange peel maybe? I don't know. It's a decent all-rounder but horrendous bottle design. Ultra tacky. I honestly don't know why do they do that. A knife, that isn't even made out of obsidian like the fragrance suggests? I am kind of lost. Great smell, though nothing groundbreaking.

synthetic and lattafa fire on ice is better imo but nice, u can wear it all year but not in too hot of weather, knife shaped bottle is nice and unique, heavy bottle/cap

Since Killian lost its soul the second it became another polished Estée Lauder asset I’m more than happy to buy the dupes. This is a great OTR alternative.

I think there's no citrus vibes

I saw this at Burlington and thought it was something else, maybe Rayhaan Obsidian, but I ended up buying it and was quite surprised by the scent. My phone wasn't working in the store so I couldn't get the notes so I gave it a go anyway. Not what I was expecting. Smells a lot like Lataffa Fire on Ice which I really like, but it's just not as good. Opens with a fizzy orange dries down to a vanilla spicy almost woodsy scent. It's OK, but I wish I passed on it. For an EDP it doesn't seem to last as long as it should either. After 90 minutes it's really quiet almost a skin scent. And the cap doesn't seem to fit right on the bottle. This is my fifth French Ave fragrance and after I bought my first two, Liquid Brun and Vulcan Feu it's been downhill. Was disappointed with 8th Wonder and Amber Empire, and now this one. OK fragrances but nothing that I can't live without. And they are all $39.99 at Burlington which is pretty high for clones.

Obsidian by French Avenue is a very simple, straightforward grapefruit-driven fragrance with light floral touches. Unfortunately, the juice doesn’t quite live up to the elegance of the bottle design. It falls into the same fresh, citrusy summer category as Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue ... clean, easy to wear, and familiar. There’s nothing particularly unique or memorable here, and in my opinion, it feels fairly average despite the online hype pushed by influencers. That said, like most “citrusy” fragrances, it’s an easy and safe blind buy for anyone who enjoys fresh citrus forward summer scents. Overall rating: 6/10
