Scorpio

This is easily one of the cosiest things I’ve ever put on skin. For the price, it makes no sense. The kind of scent that makes you consider wearing it to bed (I do as my wife loves it). Immediate family feedback test passed without negotiation as wife goes into full cuddle mode, one of the dogs decided I smelled edible and to this day tries to lick it off. That’s the level. First spray was borderline shocking. Proper “what just happened” moment. The opening hits with that amazing combo, slightly boozy from start, bright but not sharp. It pulls you in fast, then transitions into rum and soft woods without any rough edges. No spikes, no cheap shortcuts, everything is blended masterfully. This performance isn’t about filling a room. This lives closer to the skin, but in a good way as it builds a warm, boozy scent bubble that sticks around for hours. You keep catching it on yourself, which is exactly the point. This is not a loud fragrance as it’s a controlled, intimate one. Ideal for a date, especially if applied shortly before stepping out. The base is where it locks in. Vanilla, tobacco, styrax done right. Not sugary, not cloying. Smooth, slightly resinous, masculine without trying too hard. One of the best vanilla executions in men's perfume, warm, rounded, addictive and not too sweet. Overall smells far more expensive than it has any right to. It’s the kind of scent you’d panic buy backups of just in case someone decides to discontinue it.

I really likes this one. It has a very prominent tobacco smell that's got a slight almost chocolate-like undertone, the vanilla is also very present but more in the background compared to the tobacco. The rum note is also there, and it gives the fragrance a woody feel that isn't overwhelming. The scent is pretty linear, if you exclude the very first few dozen seconds after spraying, where you can smell only citrus, but it quickly disappears completely from the fragrance. It's a very masculine fragrance, I don't really see this on a girl at all, mainly because the note profile ends up giving the scent a sort of heavy muskyness. Sadly, I can't get my hands on Jazz Club to compare (that's the main reason why I bought this). But it fulfills the role I wanted. This is for the colder weather, but because it's not as gourmand, sweet or seductive as other famous winter fragrances, it fits more situations (although keeping within the realm of the formal/semi-formal). Signature scent-worthy for sure.

As a scorpio I adore this. Its a masculine scent with pepper in the opening and boozy notes in the middle and base along with vanilla. It is not a sweet vanilla as in SWY or Lataffa Khamrah. A dark masculine scent that perfectly potrays the Scorpio sign. I have never smelled MMM Jazz Club but this is great. Fantastic presentation, booklet, price (I paid 32€), I haven't tested the projection and longevity yet but il update soon. Don't blind buy it if you can't handle a bit of pepper.

I'm 56 yo Female and a Scorpio. I bought this purely for narcissistic reasons lol. Anyway, it's really beautiful. I don't have anything like it in my collection. For me, I would wear this all year round to any occasion. Truly lovely.

On some real shi this is a much stronger version of jazz club and just a little less sweet. It lasts much longer and projects a little better. Let it macerate for a bit

To me this smells like a darker liam gray from Lattafa

I'm very familiar with Jazz club as someone who had to get rid of my bottle. That's to say I still really like Jazz club and this is very similar to it, however, this is not as "old man" as Jazz club. It's a little less masculine and intense, that might change as it ages but I'm glad to have something adjacent to JC in my collection again. I wish it was a little bit sweeter and deeper that's all. Oh I'm also a Scorpio of course. Edit: Very long lasting, over 8 hours. Would NOT recommend women blind buy this unless they like unisex fragrances that could lean masculine. I layer it with Empire Victor, I might try layering it with other vanillas too, it gives it a deeper sweeter feel. The packaging is worth mentioning, the presentation makes the whole thing feel special.

Blind bought this since im Scorpio. Kinda regretted it at first for over a month. I think for my fragrance macerating did nothing. Now Ive tested again after +6months of macerating and forgetting this exist. I can smell vanilla and rum with pepper and neroli. Like it a lot more now and I think it suits colder time of the year better. For me its really cozy smell. If you like vanilla rum type fragrances I think this is good. Packaging atleast is elite as french avenue typically has. Paid 45€for mine and after macerating it I think its solid 8.

Scorpio here! I really like this! On my skin it is very aromatic and woody, I can mostly smell davana, tobacco, sage and vetiver. I wish it would be little bit sweeter and vanilla and other notes could be more present. (or maybe there is just something wrong with my nose) It is leaning little bit more masculine to me, but women can wear it too, if you like this kind of perfumes! It lasts about 10 hours on my skin. Edit. I think I am going to let it sit and try again later.

Got mine a week ago. Nice scent. Lacks that unique sweetness of Jazz Club. On skin I get more tobacco even at the first 5 mins. Longevity is eternal. You basically will want to wash it off you. No need to bring a decant or reapply. Layer this one with MM By the fireplace (better) or ameer al oud intense and you're golden.

Really nice. The opening is a bit too sweet for my taste but the drydown is really good. A bit different to jazz club, sweeter and more youthful in my opinion.

Nose Note #728 A mix between French Avenue Lumiere Garcon and Lattafa Liam. I'm not the biggest fan of either of them, but this makes for a special combo. Like a fig-tobacco accord. Unfortunately it's a type of scent that I'm for some reason getting dizzy with. I guess different people get triggered by different notes. They have put some cryptonight into this. Rich, high quality scent. Feels higher quality than Lumiere Garcon. Very strong!! 7/10, not my cup of tobacco

Not very sweet of a fragrance. Opening is fresh and sharp. Then it wilts to a funky vanilla-tobacco type of smell, reminiscent of Lattaffa Liam's state, right before Liam dries down to vanilla. It's okay, the drydown/finish smells too close to Liam to justify the purchase. Don't get me wrong - opening is different and unique compared to Liam but 70% of the time you will smell like worse version of Liam's dry-down.

It's a pretty nice boozy--woody fragrance (although no woods are listed) but it's not as complex as the note pyramid sets it out to be. Which is a total shame, because I wanted to fall in love with this scent. The three prominent notes are rum, tobacco and vetiver and unfortunately that's pretty much it. There is a powdery undertone, sort of, that reminds me of the powdery residue on top of chewing gum -- it must be coming from the styrax, but you really have to go looking for it to be able to notice it. The drydown becomes a bit more sweet when the vanilla makes an entrance and the scent becomes a whole lot better. Unfortunately -- the opening of a fragrance, although the shortest lasting phase, is the most important to me and I just find the opening tolerable here. I will never be able to tolerate an 'okay' opening for a good drydown, with very few exceptions. I'm hoping it will improve with some aging, but i'm not optimistic.

Impeccably blended sweet, oriental type fragrance from Mr Hérault. This one is like a lighter, fresher take on his previous Luminous Night. Off the top you get a glorious blast of citrus, spices and fizzy rum lending the fruity edge then it settles to something sweeter with a smoky incense touch. Has a middle-eastern vibe but it's so light and charming it could be worn almost anytime. Great value release and another fine piece of work from Jean-Cristophe.

WOW ! another absolute hit ! boozy amazing elegant sweet at opening clearly reminds me of many great high end masculine dna. "notice me energy" dark tea-like davana effect, super noticeable, and superb. wohooooo they cooked ! more masculine but i can see could be stretched as unisex for some very explorative noses. Generally, clearly masculine. Absolutely elegant, well constructed and special ! 9/10 Cozy Vanilla Rum Styrax amazingness

This falls into the expected mediocre, but got surprised. This is beautiful in a manly way. Right out of the box, it has enormous sillage. Sprayed it on myself after leaving the store. I took off my t-shirt and it was still filling up a fairly big bedroom with this fragrance after two days. If this was released by Armani, people would be all over it.

Got it just because I’m a Scorpio. No other reason. The fragrance is a basic woody vanilla with hints of booze. I think I’ll let mine sit a while before spraying it again. The gold bottle may look tacky to some, but the case and the little zodiac booklet make up for that. Unisex, basic and most suited for evenings.

There's no difference in the air; it smells similar to a jazz club. The sweetness is reduced and the spiciness is increased; yes, this is a more masculine jazz club. There's no resemblance to D&G Luminos Night. Test your sense of smell before judging.
