Solitaire

THIS IS THE ONE. This is the first dupe that actually smells better than de OG. Few days ago I tested Kiss of Bliss and I felt that sensation when you get your hands in something different, pretty, with its own personality. When you have smelled hundreds of perfumes there is a point when everything smells like other perfume you know... Kiss of Bliss was so different. But I prefer not to spend thousands of euros in a perfume, so, I went for Solitaire. Usually ME dupes ares ok, quite similar, nice, but they lack that something else that the originals have. I had never found a dupe that was better than the original, UNTIL NOW. Solitaire is AMAZING. I would say Kiss of Bliss and this one are 90% similar. The opening is a little different, being KoB a little more matcha forward and Solitaire a little more powdery (reminds me of baby power or talc). At this point I prefer KoB, but this phase last less than an hour. After a while Kiss of Bliss is spicier and Solitaire more floral. And as time passes, Solitaire turns exactly into Kiss of Bliss, but with better projection and longevity. I would say that Solitaire has a slightly cleaner vibe, which I find more appealing. It is a sweet and floral perfume, vey hard to describe, but warm, cozy and lovely. Kiss of Bliss is so beautiful, but Solitaire is just as pretty. For me, taking into account that I prefer clean floral perfumes over spicy or sweet perfumes, Solitaire is an enhanced version of Kiss of Bliss.

Φρεσκο αερινο παναλαφρο αρωμα θα το ηθελα πιο δυνατο μολις το βαλω ισα που μυριζει.σαν skin scent.θα το αφησω λιγο να κατσει και ελπιζω να δυναμωσει εστω και λιγο ...επανερχομαι μετα απο 2 μηνες εμβαπτισης για να αναφερω οτι αυτο δυναμωσε αρκετα και παιρνω μια διαρκεια 4 ωρων που εμενα με ικανοποιει.Στα ρουχα διαρκει πολυ περισσοτερο.Πιο σαπωνοδες και λιγο πουδρα.εμενα μου αρεσει πολυ!!!

it has the same creamy yet soapy vibe of a kiss of bliss. the matcha is there too... but no where near as much as the og, and it's overall more soapy too. i absolutely love it though! this will be a very easy blind buy if you love this scent profile :)

Yesss!!! I finally have this beauty in my collection; it's a magnificent perfume. Not too floral, and a wonderful powdery note that's not overpowering. This fragrance can be worn in any season and on any occasion.😍

I love it !!! It's a sweet, floral with a hint of matcha. To me it's similar to Princess from Kilian but the bergamot is more pronounced and a bit less sweet. For the price this is really nice.

Smells like bal d afrique to me but a little warmer. It’s somewhere between bal d afrique and contralto. Soapy freshie with great performance. Love it!

I want this sooo bad!!! Still have to be patient for a little while✌️

One of the underrated French avenue releases

I have never smelled Penhaligon’s Kiss of a Bliss so this review is a standalone. It’s the calmest perfume I own. An emotionally stable person would smell like this. - Nivea cream is in the room with us. - Lots of musk. - medicinal note is strong in the opening and follows through the drydown, I see why someone below compared it to BR. - lots of powder. - melancholic smell. - extrait de parfum, left oily residue on my skin (might stain clothes?) Not a safe blind buy for sure but definitely a masterpiece. Not for masses, not everyone will enjoy it.

Initial impression is a very clean soap and lotion smell. Like you've gotten out of a bubble bath and slathered on nivea. After a little while that softens and I start to get the green and floral. It is very light, surprised it is an extrait. Would like to see how it performs once it sits for a couple months. I think this would be a nice fragrance to wear to bed.

On me it smells floral, bergamot and heliotrope mostly, linear, nothing changes. Is a nice perfume, safe blind buy

Dove soap with light sweet powdery note

I was given Solitaire by the sales assistant after asking for a light summer floral. But Solitaire is a gourmand with crushed biscuit crumbs and macaroons on a lotion base. To me at least, Solitaire is Nivea face cream with those colourful and fancy macaroons on top. There’s a slight bitterness/metallics lurking in the background which I find in these budget Arabian fragrances which I don’t like. I recently smelt A Kiss of Bliss and it is like it, as that too is all about the biscuits on a soft feminine base. It leans feminine and is a safe blind buy for Mother’s Day (if your mum isn’t picky like me). The bottle is absolutely beautiful. Although it’s only entry-level gourmand, so still too gourmand for me.

Just received this so it hasn't macerated at all. The bottle is beyond gorgeous. Not terribly strong but quite pleasant. I was hoping that the heliotrope note would stand out but I can't detect it at this stage. Solitaire smells a lot like Khair Felicity did when I first received her. A Little bit on the masculine side. Fortunately that one improved with maceration. Sitting on the fence here, it could go either way. The notes are at the moment, undefined. Exactly the same note structure as Penhaligons A Kiss of Bliss. Haven't tested this one so I can't comment. Felicity really improved with maceration and I'm hoping that this one will too. A bargain at AUD $19 if the magic happens...

I still haven’t decided if I like this or not. It wasn’t love at first smell... it’s definitely for summer days! It kinda reminds me of Game of Spades Win, which I own and I’m not a big fan... (schmoop of Greenwich Village). It’s not bad either, maybe it will grow on me. We’ll see.

Maybe the tester in the shop was off or batch-to-batch variation in Arab perfumes goes crazy, but it was screechy, bug spray like, and very hard to wash off. I was shocked by how different it was from what I expected! Glad I did not blind buy.

On me it's a barely there soft sweet floral, with very little going for it. Basically candied water. Maturation did nothing to make it more full bodied. Don't waste your $ on this unless you really like the pretty bottle.

First of all, this is definitely not an extrait de parfum concentration. Also, I'm not loving that matcha note, on my skin it gives a pee vibe to this light floral-herbal composition. Overall, it reminds me more of a chamomile tea with some other herbs added. Not too sweet, despite a hint of honey, from clover note. Currently I'm not interested in using it as a stand-alone fragrance, but I'm experimenting with it for layering. Will update if the performance improves, changes. Best suitable for spring and autumn. For a scent with a similar profile (light floral herbal), similar performance and price point, I still prefer Reserve from Perry Ellis, on my skin violet/violet leaves (+ rose) is the most prominent note, but it's better blended: I don't detect any patchouli, chamomile and marigold, while oakmoss is one of my two favorites in terms of green notes (violet leaf being the other one ;) ) and it goes well with a touch of wood – which is something I miss in this one. EDIT: Vetiver Delight is quite similar, but fresher, less (honey-)sweet version of it; better blended too, and with no stinky smell.

Intial spray too soapy and reminiscent of BR40 a bit alderhydic. Remains for good 2hrs then transforms to slighty aromatic in the 4th hour loved the drydown the only reason why Im keeping this Longevity: 7 to 8hrs Overall rating 7/10

This is a great dupe for, IMO, Frank Boclet Ylang Ylang and Bond Number One. I own all three, and the dry downs are musky ylang ylang. Very nice, these 3 fragrances are 3 very different price points, so something for every budget.
